The staff at this hotel is gold! The caring and attention they showed to us was beyond all expectations. They even provided us with a packed breakfast when we had an early morning tour. The staff remembered our daily morning cappuccinos and didn’t even have to ask for them!

We stayed here for 4 nights . This is low season so the hotel was really quiet which was lovely. We stayed here over my partners big birthday - they have him a cake and decorated the room with roses, so beautiful. Staff are attentive and so helpful . They reallt care about their guests. Breakfast had a great selection of traditional and western food. Borey at the front desk has been amazing doing his best for us and our stay. Use the hotel tuk tuk. Its around 7 usd for a trip to the town and back. To Ankhor watt and back is 15 usd. Its just the whole experience. The swimming pool is huge and lovely to swim in especially at night when its all lit up. Thank you all so much. Love Michelle and Steven

First time in Seam Reap only for 3 days. The outside hotel is quite beautifully designed. The furniture need a major improvement. Great location to the main attraction.

Amazing hotel with a great staff!

We were so impressed with everything at Sokha Angkor Resort! The facilities, the room, and the food were all fantastic. But far and away the best part of the hotel was the staff. Everybody went out of their way to be helpful and kind. I don’t like to single people out because everyone did such a good job, but I feel compelled to mention a few who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. First and foremost was Dawi at the front desk. From the moment we arrived until we departed she did everything she could to be helpful. And she was very helpful! She’s very kind and also very professional and capable. In the restaurant, there were two people who stood out - Chet and Lina. Everybody was great, but we got to know these two a little bit better and it was a pleasure getting to know them. They were both wonderful.

Great stay. The staff was amazing and very friendly. They answered any questions I had including some random ones. I had an Angkor Wat tour scheduled for early morning. They put together a breakfast for me that I was able to take. It was ready for me at 4:30 when I left. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

The property is nice and clean. The restaurant serves very good breakfast with excellent food choices for Westerners and Asians. Food and wine are decent for dinner. The staff and the manager (Steve) were very hospitable. We always enjoyed the food and services when we dined there. The area surrounding the resort is empty with nothing worth seeing. A ride to the main drag downtown is just about five minutes away which makes up for the lack of activities around the resort. I definitely made a good choice by staying at this resort after seeing all other hotels in Sapa.

I can't recommend this resort enough. Location is very convenient, but it was the staff that made the difference. From beginning to end it was a pleasure being there. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made you feel like family (first name basis). Pool is beautiful, food on-site is excellent, and the rooms are very clean. Highly recommend (and I'm picky).

Hotel was situated slightly out of the centre but still within walking distance. We frequently took one of the tuktuks waiting outside the reception. Being slightly out of the centre it was an oasis of calm in what was a busy town centre.
Would recommend one of the pool facing rooms for the view & balcony.
Reception service was very good, especially when we had problems with a phone. Also concierge provided excellent restaurant booking service and tuktuk transport.

I was incredibly disappointed with the checkout process and it ruined my entire experience. Not only did it take a prolonged period of time, more than I believe is expected. When I finally went up to follow-up on why it was taking so long they told me they were \"counting the items.\" Once they finally completed the counting I was told that I had consumed items that I did not ever consume. When I told them I had not consumed them they said I needed to \"check with my friend,\" I told them that my \"friend\" who is my fiance was with me the entire time and that if any of us had consumed anything we would have told them. Then they tried to get me to sign a receipt on the goods consumed and told me they \"would put zero on it.\" I told them I would not simply sign an incomplete form and they continued to insist that it was required for all guests. However, when I asked our cousin who was traveling with us he informed us that he did not have to sign any such document.

I've stayed in only three 5-star hotels (counting this hotel as the third) and I'm certain the Sokha Angkor is the overall best hotel I've ever stayed in. The price was no more than many of the 3 or 4-star hotels I've used.. Without paying for anything but their lowest priced room, my room was probably the most spacious and finely appointed room I've ever stayed in. It had a lot of very expensive, beautiful hard wood furniture in it. The included breakfast options were probably the most numerous I've ever enjoyed in a hotel. with both Cambodian and Western choices. The staff were abundant and always eager to help!

Awesome hotel, it was visually stunning and close to all the attractions (Angkor Wat, which was just a running’s distance away, Pub Street and night market, to name just a few). I originally checked in to the junior suite for two nights and then extended it to four. The staff at the lounge was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food on-site tasted great and had a wide variety of selections (Japanese, Western, Khmer traditional food). The spa was great as well. The massage therapists are obviously very experienced, and my time at the spa allowed me to relax and unwind with ease. The only down side is a little woody smell at the SPA.

Location was great. Really easy to get into town.
The place was spotlessly clean.
Service wasn’t great, slow at the bar when it was empty, we sent back a pizza that the waiter misunderstood the order. We got the same one back with a bit cheese thrown on and reheated. We did laugh about it, but its not cheap so really expect a fresh one.
Good location if you are travelling with friends or as a couple, but not great for kids. Not many kids in the hotel over Easter holidays so they were a bit bored.

It was a wonderful experience right from the airport pickup to arrival at the hotel. Although we arrived hours before the check-in time, we were made welcome and comfortable during our wait. The front office staff were excellent, and check-in was absolutely hassle free. The room was well-maintained, and housekeeping did an excellent job daily. The staff were friendly and helpful in pointing out places of interest, as well as in assisting to arrange day tours.

The hotel is well located, with many restaurants and several shopping malls within walking distance. A 15 minute walk (or a short tuk tuk ride) took us downtown to the Old Market, Pub Street, the Made in Cambodia Market, and other places of interest.

The pool was excellent. The service and staff were excellent. Lovely lobby and decorations for the holiday. Room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The pool was the highlight for me. It was one of the reasons that we chose this hotel and it did not disappoint. However, it was disappointing that the pool closed early due to private dinners in the pool area. I do not think this is a fair policy. Hotel guests should have full use of the facilities during their stay. The spa service was also a disappointment. We were offered a 30% discount, only to find (upon receiving our bill) that we could not apply the discount to any of the services we received because they were already discounted. This was not communicated either verbally or in any fine print when we arranged the reservation. A dishonest practice that left a bitter taste. Do get a pool with a balcony and pool view. The location is good. Service is good. Food and drink is overpriced. That is to be expected at a resort, but for Cambodia the prices were just excessive. The little supermarket across the road is very convenient. Make use of it. Siem Reap is a great tourist town and the Angkor Complex is amazing. Recommended.

The attitudes and services of the restaurant staff can be improved further. Housekeeping services are not up to standard, toiletries, tissue papers, slippers, bathroom towels and bathrobes taken are not replaced at times. We were there for 4 nights and this was our experience: 5 star hotel with 3 star services.

There were meldews & mold in the shower! Considering a five star hotel, this is the worst that we’ve ever been!! Hotel needs update & should change the towels to newer ones. There are many more 5-star choices in Angkor Wat with a better price; we’ve been in Siem Reap a few times, but this is the definitely not up to par.

The attentiveness of the staff here is fantastic, the pool is amazing and the spa was very good. The room was huge but the teak chairs, while lovely to look at, were not for settling down in. Mind you, there’s plenty to keep you busy and the location is excellent - just far enough away to avoid the noise but close enough to the Centre to enjoy the pubs/restaurants.

Lovely hotel, walking distance to little lanes with markets, bars and restaurants. Tuk Tuks also available and so cheap.
The hotel organised their car with driver and tour guide for a day trip to the temples and it was wonderful, I would recommend it.
The buffet breakfast was really good and not too busy.
The swimming pool was large and again really nice with good service from the staff.

Nice welcome and check in processes on arrival also same on departure a few days later. The hotel is in an excellent location close enough to walk to busy restaurants and markets area without being in the middle of it.
Our room over looking the swimming pool was nice quiet and good size. The bed was firm which was comfortable but poor quality pillows used. Food selection for breakfast was ok but lacked choices that other 5 star hotels in that region had.

Sorry to say not 5 star at all.

Having stayed at several 4 and 5 star hotels during our trip we are surprised this hotel is listed as 5 star and we feel it is not. The reception is quite grand but our room was shocking. It was very dirty with stains all over the furniture. The room we originally booked was very small so we upgraded and ended up with a 2 bedroom suite. As a couple we only used 1 bedroom which was clear with our luggage and belongings in there however the turn down service at night prepared the other room leaving ours. The bedding was not that clean and the towels were really thin in a bathroom not very clean as well. The rooms and furniture are getting very tired and it made it impossible to sit on the couch with no padding left in it. Most lamps had blown bulbs and couldn't be used. Nothing provided in the room including the mini bar meet the standard of other 4 and 5 star locations we stayed in. The breakfast was also not that great and the service at breakfast was shocking. We also had club lounge access and this was also very disappointing with the same dirty table cloth still on the table on our second visit. Also very poor choices of food and beverages available. Would sadly never return.

We stayed at Sokha Angkor last august with my husband and my parents- four of us. Stayed at one of the suites which was super spacious with really wonderful service. We had choices of eating at lounge or buffet breakfast and happy hour in the early evenings. We also enjoyed spa. But really made this trip so special was all the staff who work there. We corresponded with Mr. Sok Venghak prior to our trip- who helped us for transportations and trips during our stay. We also learned how to make beautiful lotus flowers by ladies (Ms. Soviet and others!) and we had a wonderful driver over two days during our trips and they also hired a guide for us upon request.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and spacious. Beautiful pool, grounds, and spa. The room could be more comfortable without the heavy wooden chair. Restaurants have nice multicultural selections. The staff are friendly and polite to a fault. I could not possibly book another hotel in Siemriep :-)

Great place. Rooms quite big and comfortable. We had two adjoining ones. Accommodative to our requests. Allowed early checkin as well as late checkout - we were with two kids. It was Christmas time and place was dazzling with decorations right from the main entrance till the back, and in between. Location is right in the city with convenience to walk or travel around easily.

In my personal view this is a high end 3 star due to poor service

My wife and I were travelling on our honeymoon. prior to arriving at the hotel i had contacted the hotel via email and informed them of the occassion, who advised me that they will arrange something.

i then had to arrive at the hotel 2 days early and notified them of the same via email as vietnam had been hit by a typhoon and therefore changed my holiday plans around.

when we came to the hotel it was nice and lively with the entrance being a nice big open space. we arrived late so went to sleep shortly afterwards.

we arrived into the room and nothing was set up, like what many other hotels had done for my wife and I and we also had the worst room possible with a massive tree blocking the view of the courtyard.

i went and spoke to the manager in the morning who had apologised. he informed me that all the rooms are booked but he was willing to offer me a better room for a price which he had partially reduces.

personally i was not happy with this at the end they gave me the higher room but without the benefits such as drinks, and other accesses.

clearly they made an error and the set up of the new room was pretty boring.

i think we were just unlucky, the hotel is in a great location and not in the heart of the hustle and bustle but everything within 5 - 10min walking distance.

Great hotel

When we arrived tgey wouldn't let us go to the counter like normal. They came to us instead
Regestered us showed ys the room felivered our luggage. Theu then called us when our tour guide arrived. The restruant was great for the last meal of yhe day. Breakfast the next morning as expected it was very good. Unfortunately ee left the hotel gor the next part of our adventure. I would recomment this to anyone

Gated hotel with real '5 star' ambiance. Beautiful lobby/pool/gym/spa. Great location within walking distance to the night market and pub street. Would stay there again in a minute!!

Great hotel, Good location, service and value.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Sokha Angkor Resort. Check-in staff was quick and easy. The entire staff was awesome especially Venghak at the concierge desk. He assisted us with booking ATV rides, transportation and he was extremely helpful, friendly and patient with us. Vanna and Dalin at the hotel spa were great also. The breakfast is good. The hotel restaurants had a upscale feel but the prices are very reasonable.
