Its a very small, clean hotel in a residential area away from the tourist center and it has minor signs of deferred maintenance. The bathroom was clean, the towels bright white. But the sink was leaking from the P-trap onto the floor rather profusely (not a problem, as there was a drain close by.) The bathtub had been fixed in several places with tape. But everything worked, including the a/c.

Being so far away from the city center, it takes very long to get a grab driver to come there. But it's definitely quiet at night and there were two very nice restaurants just down the street.
The idea to pick this location had been to be closer to the Angkor Wat temple, to maybe even walk there. This turned out to be beside the point, because it's too hot to walk and you really want to hire a driver for the day, to go to all the other temples too.

The hotel also doubles as a shop for local woodcraft. Lobby and hallways are crammed full of amazing carvings, sculptures and furniture, all for sale and not seen elsewhere.

Breakfast is very basic: order one set from a menu of four sets.

Misleading information in description

The hotel is ok. Nothing fancy but according to the price. We didn’t see any other guests in our three day stay which seemed a bit weird.
The location is great as it’s very close to Angkor.
In the description it says that they arrange free transportation to the airport (one way not return) however they told us that they don’t do that anymore. The airport has changed location and they no longer provide that service. This is quite annoying as it was one of the reasons we chose this place instead of others.

Such a cool hotel! It's filled to the brim with Buddist and Hindu artifacts and art. Very unique space. Rooms were a good size, had AC and the pool was lovely.

You are a little ways from the action of downtown Siem Reap but there's always a tuktuk nearby to head to wherever you need to go. Extremely convenient location for Angkor Watt! It's situated directly along the road leading into the Angkor area and worked very well for us.

I can't say enough nice things about the hotel and staff! The interior is simply amazing! It is the most beautiful woodwork I have seen in Asia. The staff is the best people I have meet here and we're the best. It's within walking distance to Angkhor Wat and downtown, but you can opt for a $3 ride too. This is the place to stay if you are in the area!

Lovely hotel, BEWARE of help for travel arrangment

Lovely stay.Good location +good facilities.Deluxe room-very nice.Staff very pleasant and helpful.However,PEOPLE BEWARE the 'helpful'guy in charge of organising transport-Had intended to take a mini-bus from Siem Reap-Battambang, overnight there,then continue by mini-bus to Phnom Penh,but persuaded by promises of a taxi-driver friend who would go off the beaten track for the first part to Battambang to show us a little of the surrounding countryside in addition to a detour to the mountain monastery,we opted for this & the offer of arranging the mini-bus for our onward journey from Battambang.Unfortunately,this arrangement was mis-sold- the'detour'did not happen and the route taken was exactly that which the mini-bus would have taken.Furthermore, when he made the arrangement for the onward mini-bus,the detail that we would need picking up from our hotel was not
advised(despite reassuring us this had been done!)resulting in the mini-bus leaving without us leaving us stranded in Battambang. Then had the additional expense of having to stay an additional night there,despite already having paid for hotel at our destination as well as having to re-buy our mini-bus tickets for the next day.The guy at the hotel who was responsible insisted via a receptionist that he would not pay for either of the added expenses that were incurred and furthermore,did not apologise and even refused to speak to us!Bad,very bad. Lesson learnt: ARRANGE YOUR OWN ONWARD TRANSPORT

The room was clean, the bed was great. The bathroom fixtures were a little worn but everything worked. The staff is very welcoming.

The location is not in the middle of town, so not a ton of things to do near by. Also a taxi driver warned me there are motorcycle pick pockets nearby at night that like to grab purses and bags that are hanging off one shoulder. He recommended I carry my shoulder bag across my chest, rather than hanging loose off one shoulder.

Daytime felt quite safe and typical for Siem Reap; night time did feel a bit dark outside as the street isn't well lit.

Bad choice for me

We are traveling for several months so having a gym and pool was a priority. I cancelled my hotel in town because Their website advertised a gym. This is not true. The pool is also tiny and dirty. I found a gym in town and spoke to the desk about their website being misleading. I'm staying for 1 week and suggested we could resolve this if he pays my tuck tuk to town I would cover the additional expenses. He became very rude. Other problems was the lack of hot water for the shower. The breakfast was always cold. Lastly their rental bikes were in awful shape. I went across the street and rented new bikes for $1 day. They are also doing construction next door so I couldn't enjoy my balcony and the view is not good.
The positive about the hotel was the beautiful furniture, robes, and the rooms were clean. Angkor wat is only a 10 minute bike ride.

Dark hotel

Booked for three nights did not even spend a night. When arrived by tuk tuk no body opened door or met us even though staff we're stood around. Reception area very dark and lots of wood carvings for sale. Junior suite very small TV just fuzzy no picture been like that for three days according to another guest. No water pressure for approx half hour. Only three sun beds around small pool. Only one chair on balcony for two persons. Lighting in room not adequate for reading. After about two hours we found another hotel and checked out.

Wonderful period hotel with good updates

Siem Reap is pretty much at the end of the world so it wasn't a big surprise that the hotel's WIFI connection was s bit intermittent and limited to an area which didn't include my room. This is something to be careful of since the cost of cell data and phone in Cambodia is exorbitant. I incurred over $500 of cost in a day and a half. Allowing for this (more than small) shortcoming the hotel was small and quite beautiful with an abundance of local wood, a huge bed in my room that was a work of art and a pretty darn good restaurant (again taking into account I was not in Manhattan). The hotel was close to Angkor, the big attraction. Travel to the temples or anywhere else was quite easily arranged through the hotel. The people in the hotel and the whole country for that matter were unbelievably kind, gentle and courteous. Hell, I may become Buddhist if that's what it does to you.

I picked this hotel for its location. My family wanted to get to Angkor Wat before dawn to watch the sunrise. This seemed to be the closest decent hotel. It worked out very well. There are fancier places not too much farther away but the staff at Shining Angkor were all friendly and helpful. The rooms were fine. The food was good. We enjoyed it.

Angkor Watt for a day

I just stayed for a night to see Angkor Watt in the morning. Great service, but the room was a bit dated and stale (But, it's Cambodia, not Beverly Hills). My only legit complaint was that the hotel was a bit far from all the other hotels in the main city area.

Good Value Hotel with traditional decor

I really liked this hotel. It is close to Angkor Archaeological Park and it's a convenient jumping point for exploring the area by bike or on your own as well as renting a tuk-tuk.

The hotel does not offer room service, but they do have a small semi-outdoor restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The selection is moderate but we enjoyed the service in the restaurant. Be careful as not all rooms come with breakfast as an option.

The decor of the hotel is quite traditional and there is a lot of carved wood, which I found charming. I loved the hanging silk on the room walls and the traditional coverlets at the ends of the beds.

The beds themselves were very comfortable with nice thick mattresses, rooms spacious. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We would recommend to stay again, but would prefer a wider choice of menu and room service. A good solid hotel to stay in - great value for our money!

Nice, comfortable, quiet Cambodian style hotel

The Shining Angkor hotel is lovely. Has the feel of Cambodia, clean, ornate and comfortable. It is located at the edge of town so the traffic noise is minimal at night. It is only a 5 minute tuktuk ride to the other side of the city and market area.
We really enjoyed staying at the Shining Angkor Hotel. I highly recommend it, For the price it is a great value.
The breakfast is good, you can choose different fixed combinations of American style breakfast food from the menu.

Terrible place, Terrible staff

Uncomfortable. To say the least. Hotel is more of a hardwood furniture storage area than a 'boutique'. Rows and rows of giant over-sized hardwood furniture clutter every area including the tiny balconies.

WiFi was non-existent in the room and terrible everywhere else except in the area where the computer stations are.

The only places to sit are hardwood benches and giant wooden chairs. The night staff were far more helpful and friendly than the day time staff. Bathrooms had no hot water at all. Getting some help with finding a bus to our next stop was a terrible and confusing experience: We were told it left at 2pm until 1:30pm then we were told it left at 2am - when asked (night staff) why we were told differently: The guy who booked the trip hoped we would pay/stay for the next night to wait for the bus.

Avoid this hotel - a terrible experience from start to finish with a small bit of sunshine/friendliness only found during our late-night wait for our bus.

We had a great stay at the shining Angkor. Lovely staff who were very helpful and the location quiet but near all the sights.Always a tuk tuk and driver available to take us anywhere. very clean and comfortable. The only let down was the shower was poor. It was a shower over the bath and wasnt fixed well onto the wall so had to use by hand. wouldnt stop us going again though.

nice hotel, terrible staff

the location is great, in between pub street and angkor wot and the rooms were lovely but the staff were horrible. Stayed there for 4 nights, on the second night myself and a friend shared a salt n pepper squid and within two hours we were both violently ill. We buzzed the hotel staff and asked for a doctor but they declined as it was 'too expensive' after a full on night of both of us being violently ill we alerted the staff that it was their food that made us ill ( as it was the only thing we ate all day) to which they replied \"okay\". Doesn't have a resort feel to it, no cocktails, food expensive and limited chairs around the pool. While the hotel was nice the staff ruined it.

Very Cambodian in decoration

I stayed here in February 2014, in a Junior Suite. I had been travelling in Thailand, and the beautiful carved bed in this room was the most comfortable of my whole trip! The staff were very helpful, and the free ride into town between 5 & 7pm came in very handy. In any case, as this hotel is not right in Siem Reap, it still only costs $2 by tuk-tuk each way.

A charming experience

This hotel was most impressive with its wonderful wood interior and furntiure; such a pleasing change from the usual bland hotel interiors.
The staff were very helpful especially the desk staff who spoke quite good english. The staff in the restaurant were very obliging but understood only a little english.
The hotel was well placed for visiting Angkor Watt but was a lillte way out of the main part of town.
The dinner we had a the hotel was excellent.

Quiet Retreat

We loved this hotel: the location, the beds, the rooms, the lobby, the pool, even the tuk-tuk drivers working for the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, but I have to say that it always took a very long time to receive it. This was especially frustrating on the day we had an excursion reserved. We got there at 6:30am opening time, and said we had to leave at 7am. We received our breakfast 6:56am. Fortunately, they were a little late picking us up so we had time to wolf down our meal.

But apart from this one incident, our stay was truly wonderful. The front desk man (the one working during the day) was most excellent, providing a service beyond expectations.

Excellent, well run hotel for the budget conscience person. Beautiful solid wood interiors and furnishings. Free Western or Eastern style breakfasts were delicious. Staff is courteous and flexible for planning transportation and/or trips. Away from the busy part of Siem Reap, but only a short \"tuk tuk\" ride to the action. Quiet neighborhood and closer to the Ankor Wat temples, so you can sleep later for the required sunrise visit. If you want to stay at a \"local\" place, this is it!

Near Angkor Wat

Location is one of the nearest to Angkor Wat. Other plus points: spacious rooms and bathrooms. Theme & décor is very traditional Cambodian so it's interesting for a change. However, the interior of the hotel and rooms may be too dimly lighted for those used to bright lightings. The other aspect is there are no eateries or convenience stores near this hotel. But since we stayed only 2 nights, this is bearable.

Very helpful staff. Were able to organise all our requirements. They organised our driver for two days round site and he was excellent and extremely helpful. Hotel itself on road to Angkor, too far to walk into Siem Reap but only $2 for tuk-tuk. Local area seemed safe but but not much in regards restaurants. Hotel very interesting decor with heavy wood.

Quiet Traditional Hotel just outside of Siem Reap

The hotel is great from the outside. A very traditional feel to the hotel which we loved during our stay, however I wished the same feeling led to the room. The room had a stench similar to a mouldy smell which we tried to get rid off but didn't disappear the entire 3 days we stayed. I think it may be due to the room not getting enough light as nothing in the room quite dried properly, always damp. The hotel was clean but cause the fittings are quite old you couldn't really tell.
Staff are lovely and beautiful apart from a couple of exceptions, just don't ask for anything that requires extra effort otherwise you'll be met with a sour face! We almost missed our bus due to them telling us the wrong time, and to make it worse we were on the top floor and nobody helped us with our luggage down the flights of stairs. However they rectified it by calling the bus back to the hotel and taking our luggage to the bus.
Not far from the centre of town. Just a $2 tuk tuk ride if you're looking for somewhere quiet, which we liked. Be careful as they like to charge more!
The hotel was okay for the money you pay, however I would suggest just forking out a bit more money and staying in better accommodation.

just stay 1 night but impressed wood sculpture and furniture. like bathroom very much with a clean bathtub and mirror with desing; elephant, spoon, fork and plants. much up grade than other hotels. there is a restaurant just outside hotel door but very slow cooking also over cooked food, probably a lot of south asia countries same cooking style. fish, chicken over cook, just become eating a peice of wood. location not very near city center but if stay more days not bad.

Beautiful interior

This was a fancy hotel for a cheap price in Seim Reap. It is kind of a long distance to the Night Market and Pub Street (about a 15min tuk tuk ride). The hotel is decorated with wooden furniture and carvings. The only thing that bothered me about the hotel was the lack of hot water. It is right next to the killing fields memorial. The breakfast was included and was very good. Be prepared to have plenty of ones for the tuk tuk drivers and tips while you are in Siem Reap. The hotel staff did not speak much english but was great. They would bring fresh fruit to our room everyday and tried to be as helpful as they could.

The hotel room was very comfortable, spotless and spacious. The lobby and passageways are somewhat gloomy because of the large collection of timber and stone artefacts. I like tmber but not in that qty. Having said that it was not a detractor to my stay. The biggest drawback is it is not close to city centre so must use tuk tuk to go and come. 2USD each way.

Lots of Cambodian WOOD furniture, like a Museum!

Hotel comfortable and very clean, nice and friendly staff . Choice of Breakfast every day. A bit far from the \"action\", young people will rather stay near the Old Market and Pub Street but fideal for families and couples, we took a $2.- Tuk-Tuk to town and that was an experience by itself. Did not mind. Hotel can arrange all kinds of Tours and the price list is in each room, also a good Massage is available and very cheap.

Very close to the Angkor Wat Temple. There are some computers available with free, high speed internet...I was able to upload each day's pictures to Facebook quickly and with ease. The staff were extremely friendly, and the restaurant was outstanding! The bed was comfortable and included a mosquito net. There was plenty of hot water for showers, and the air conditioning worked well. I would recommend to my friends and family!

Great staff and unparalleled hospitality

We originally booked 5 nights here with plans to move around to another location in Cambodia but enjoyed the Shining Angkor so much we booked an additional 5 nights. The staff attentiveness to our needs was amazing. We took advantage of their temple tours packages and found it well worth it. Not only was it less expensive than others we looked at but we had the same driver during our day tour also available to us in the evening for dinner in town. The on site restaurant was wonderful and the made to order breakfast was delicious and very filling. We had a few rainy nights so ate dinner there as well and we were impressed by the quality of food for dinner.

I was disappointed by my room not having any balcony like the picture and being very small. There is no view through the small window so felt like sitting in a closet... Bathroom is large and clean though. The breakfast is pretty good too. People are nice and they offer tuk tuk tours and the location being closer to Angkor Wat is good for us, but if you want to walk around the town at your leisure you should have a hotel near center of town. I like the quietness of the area and the hotel(very empty). There are plenty of larger rooms and I don't know why we were given such a small room... The tour included the driver for all day so it was nice...

Awkward, rude and bad food. Avoid!

We chose this hotel because it had some good reviews, but it really did not live up to them. We arrived to the hotel to a very awkward member of staff. We needed to eat but there was NOTHING around hotel so we ate in the hotel restaurant. The food was terrible. We were woken early the next morning to a member of staff telling us we NEEDED to move rooms as they had placed us in a room with 2 beds (We only needed 1). I was annoyed at the attitude of staff and rather than asking, but demanding we move! Although the location was inbetween the town and Angkor Wat, with no good local food we had to go over to the town anyway. i would have preferred to stay in the town and have lots of choices of cafes, bars, restaurants and markets. We awoke one morning with no running water in the hotel. I had to leave for the day without a shower. We had issues with the wifi and when I mentioned this to the night member of staff he was exceptionally rude and dismissive. The wiring in the rooms had joining boxes which looked crude and dangerous. We felt like a evening dip in the pool but the lights were off. We asked a member of staff if they could switch them on, to which we were left waiting for 10 minutes. It took use three more requests for someone to actually help us! It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but for my money, I think there are much better places for the same money, in better locations without all the issues.

This is a fantastic hotel, ideally situated to explore the temples at Angkor. The staff were universally polite, friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is excellent. This is by no means a luxury hotel, but it is good value and I would easily choose to stay here again if I was to return to Cambodia.

Great Room. Very Kind Staff. Highly Recommended.

Cambodia!? I had no idea what to expect. When I arrived at the hotel, I was immediately impressed with how clean it is. After 3 weeks in Thailand, its EASILY the cleanest hotel I have been in. Spotless really. My room is the cheapest version I think, but it is nicely appointed.

The staff is VERY kind, each and every one of them. The food in the restaurant was quite good as well. I highly recommend this place. It is a bit far from the Night Market and that scene but its a quick tuk tuk ride away. I rather enjoy having some distance from all that energy.

If I have one complaint, its that the shower head is very low. Like 4 feet from the ground. Also, it seems you get about 2 gallons of hot water from the rather small water heater. There is a bathtub but not enough hot water to come close to filling it. Rather useless.

Wi-fi Speedtest results (speedtest.net): 1.29mbps down /1.82mbps up

Wi-fi is free and although not the fastest, it worked. I watched a movie one night and the signal dropped about 10 times for a 10 seconds or so.

As for Angkor Wat, its a $5 tuk tuk ride each way. No big deal.

If you're thinking of staying here, do. You won't regret it.

Surly, money grabbing staff.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel itself and room were lovely but the frontline staff are only interested in making extra money for themselves. Watch your change and don't book any services with this hotel unless you are OK with a 300 per cent markup on town prices.

We hired bikes from the hotel, only 100 percent markup at 2 USD. Then they told us they didn't like tourusts using them as they are not reliable etc (and were very rusty). But hey, they had ones that did work OK out the back for 5 USD.

We booked an early morning call to see the sunrise. That never came. No apology even.

We had a taxi coming at 620 another morning, booked at an inflated price through the hotel. Time for a quick breakfast first, should be served from 6am. Ordered at 6 am. No breakfast at 630. Would have complained to reception but he was asleep behind the counter.

We were pleased to leave this hotel. It left a very bad taste, and a dreadful advertisment for Siem Reap.

Hideaway from the bustling streets

We were greatly impressed by this boutique hotel with well-appointed wood furniture and pretty rooms. The only disappointment was that our window was blocked in by the adjoining shop, so we had no natural light in our room. Shining Angkor's location is great - right between Siem Reap and Angkor Wat - an easy tuk tuk ride to either. The room was exceptionally clean, and comfortable. Wifi worked fantastically, and the ride to Angkor is half the time as from the City. The hotel also rents bicycles. Regular bikes are cheaper and mountain bikes (recommended) are about four times higher. Relaxing by the pool in the late afternoon was a lovely sanctuary away from the adjacent street traffic and dusty roads. There is a very 'local' market nearby and at least one cafe that seems to mostly cater to tour bus groups.

Friendly staff, excellent location

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hotel has a very rustic decor with beautifully carved wooden furniture and exterior facades. The room I had was very spacious with a small balcony and includes a safe, free wi-fi and air conditioning. The staff were super-friendly, and helped me with arranging tours, bicycle rentals and the purchase of a bus ticket to Phnom Penh. The hotel is located between Angkor Wat and the main Siem Reap city center. I liked being away from the city center because it was pretty quiet at night and being closer to Angkor Wat made riding a bicycle to the site easier. However you'll need to be taking a Tuk-Tuk into town for shopping or dinner (the hotel offers free rides to downtown when the driver is available).

Apart from having to take Tuk tuk all the time to go to the city for lunch and dinner, which took 5-10 minutes, the location was nice and quiet and within easy reach of the temples. Our bedroom was spacious and so was the bathroom. Beware that every night at 10 pm the electricity turns off for 5 minutes due to an external changing over of generators. If you don't know you wonder what on earth is wrong with your room. The staff was nice and helpfull, however lacking in English language. Breakfast was acceptable with a choice.

A great friendly hotel.

The staff at the hotel is amazing. Anything we asked or wanted was provided promptly. There were a few hiccups with our room at first. The water wasn't working, and then due to storms, the power went out a couple of times. Everything was rectified very quickly and a million apologies were given. The rooms are nice and the location is great for getting to the temples for exploring as well as going out and exploring the town. The breakfast they included every morning was wonderful and there were so many options.

Cool staff and nice hotel.

The staff treated us like king and always said hi to us like we were celebrities. The people in the hotel were super cool and helpful and that's how all the Cambodians seem to be everywhere you go. Our room was really nice with a elegant bed and mosquito net. The only thing that we didn't like was that the pool was really dirty and had algae on the bottom so we never got to use the pool which was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel. Overall, great location, it’s close to Angkor Wat and it’s for a reasonable price.

Wonderful place, conveniently located

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and speaks English well. When we arrived around 10 pm in a downpour, they re-opened the restaurant for us so we could have dinner. The entire hotel is full of exquisite woodwork - even the stairways and furniture are made out of finely carved wood. The rooms are elegantly furnished, very clean, and have free wireless internet. Breakfast is also complimentary, and made-to-order. The hotel offers very reasonably priced tours of Angkor Wat and the other temples in Angkor National Park (we would recommend tours via tuk-tuk). It is also conveniently located between Angkor Wat and downtown Siem Reap. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Siem Reap.

Awesome boutique hotel

All of the staff were very friendly. We were able to book tours last minute. Our tours included Angkor Wat, TonLe Sap Lake, and the market. We had the same tuk tuk driver all 3 days. Even though he didn't know English, we always felt safe with his driving and he got us and picked us up on time.

The on-site restaurant was great. The free breakfast offered eggs, toast, bacon, pancakes, etc. Lunch and dinner were excellent and cheap. $6 got you delicious grilled chicken in a yummy sauce with fries or cashew chicken, etc.

We booked the suite, the main difference is that included a balcony, though we never used it since it was too hot to sit outside. The only bad thing about the location of our room (8) was the rooster that crowed all morning. The room and hotel were filled with beautifully carved wood all over. Very pretty. It made for a little bit of a tight squeeze in the room since the furniture was so big. But there was still plenty of room for our luggage. It was a hand-held shower, so harder to work for someone not used to it.

We even enjoyed the on-site massage room. Prices were only a ouple dollars higher than the 'cheap' ones, but the convenience of just walking down the hall and having air conditioning was well worth it.

They have a nice souvenir shop on-site as well. The prices are better than the initial prices given in the markt before haggling. Also, they offer a 20% discount to guests.

The location of the hotel was in between Angkor Wat and the city , so everything was close by. They also take credit cards without surchares. You can pay for your tours that way.

Overall, as an American, this hotel met and exceeded our quality expectations for a boutique hotel. The low price was just a bonus.

the restuarant had a limited menu but every meal we had was excellent. the staff were very helpful.

Great Place to Stay

This hotel was Awesome. Very friendly staff, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The open air dining area served delicious food and the massages were great. A five minute ride to Angkor Wat and Kim our driver who worked at the hotel was an amazing guide. Could not have asked for more and was a great value. We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again next time we visit Cambodia. One more thing...first time travelers to Cambodia should note that the currency of choice is US $. Do Not get tricked into exchanging your money for Cambodian Riel!

Charming hotel

This is a small hotel with a most friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. The owners have a wood carving business and beautiful wood carving and statues are a feature of the décor. There is a large swimming pool and a restaurant which serves a good cooked breakfast and a limited menu at other times. It is in a quiet location well on the way to Angkor Wat but not in the centre of town. To compensate for this the hotel offers complimentary vouchers for a tuk-tuk into town. We loved our stay here and would certainly come back.

our room was on the first floor,the hotel is very quiet and cute.room was very clean and beds were so comfortable.the thing that sroke me was metresses and towels were very clean and good quality of fabric which is used by 5 star hotels.a/c was very well functioning, not bothering by hitting the person.after a non sleep ,it makes you feel so energitic .Even i dont have this comfort at my home.Wifi was pretty fast.it takes 5-min. to arrive at center and costs between 1.5$ and 2$.not walkable but it is worth to stay anyway.i strongly recommend this hotel to those who can afford and are looking for cleannes,silince,quality materials,comfort.No any dislike.unfortunatetly i couldnt have time to benefit the swimming pool but it looked cool.

Distinctive character, clean, pool and free wi-fi

We stayed here for two weeks so we got to experience it fully at various times of the day. The hotel is outside of town which makes it fairly quiet but close enough to Lucky Supermarket, Pub Street, Night Market and Angkor temples. They offer free tuk-tuk rides to town, etc. You can also book all of your tours through the hotel, which we did, including Vietnam visas and transfer to Phnom Penh. I highly recommend this hotel.

The wood furniture in the lobby and the plants near the swimming pool give this hotel a distinctive character. The bedrooms are spacious, clean and modern. There are several choices for the free breakfast and all of the choices at the restaurant are very delicious.

I don’t understand why others were complaining about Internet access on the top floor. We were there at around the same time and we stayed at the hotel for an entire day during our rest days. Our kids used the Internet for their schoolwork and I used for it work and it was fine. We experienced slow connections at times but I’d like to blame that on the Internet provider or the country's infrastructure instead of what they have at the hotel. They have two routers on each floor and signal is always strong.

The trick is to order your meals ahead of time so that it will be ready when you sit at the restaurant. Otherwise, you could be waiting for up to 45 minutes to get your meal. This is particularly important if you have an early start for your tour. So, order your breakfast the night before.

The hotel is nice with lots of lovely wood all around. The staff are very helpful. The price was nice. The pool was a great option after a hot day of climbing the temples. The breakfast was nice if a little simple. The airport pick up and drop off was excellent. The beds were firm but not the hardest I have experienced in Asia. Very cold A/C. The internet was a bit sketchy because of storms related to a near by typhoon.

The location is remote. There is very little within walking distance but tuk-tuks are cheap and plentiful. The biggest compliant had I was regarding water pressure in the room on the 3rd floor. It was incredibly low water pressure. There is no elevator but there are only 3 floors.

I would likely stay there again with my family but would hope for a lower floor with better water pressure.

Great location to temples and boutique feel

Super nice hotel half way between Sien Reap and the temples; very convenient to getting a good day of temple visits in. $2 will get you a tuk tuk into town if you want a change of scenery from the hotel menu.
My only real disappointments with this hotel were: the attempt to charge me $5 for breaking a shampoo holder which was slippery and and not at all functional. With a value at best of .50 cents. Plus, the hard sell on taking temple tours (which is probably fairly common in these parts).

部屋の中がカビ臭かったのと、冷蔵庫が掃除されていなくて、開けた瞬間、水が流れて来ました。鍵を閉めても鍵がなかなか抜けなくて何度もスタッフを呼びました。
ただ、スタッフの接客、応対は素晴らしかったです。チェックアウトした後に、着替えのために部屋を使わせて欲しいと言ったら、掃除した後でも使わせてもらえました。チェックインが15時からでしたが、お願いしたら12時でもチェックイン出来て、本当に優しくて柔軟性があり、気持ち良く過ごせました。ありがとうございました。

エレベーターはなく階段の上り下りになるが部屋は綺麗だった。
気になるところはしばらくお湯を出しっぱなしにすると冷たくなるくらいで値段の割に満足できた。
アンコールワットと中心街の真ん中に位置しているのでバイクでそこら中まわれた。
