This hotel is an aging beauty, well past her prime, but refusing to let time ravage her. Its youthful staff is a counterpoint that emphasises, rather than hides, her noble but losing struggle. Once the finest hotel on Sok San Road, now she is surrounded by a bevy of younger, finer, and more expensive beauties. Yet she still stands, faded, patched, but proud. Stay with her if yiu want proximity to the youthful vigor of Sok San Road as it is today, but also seek to experience what the Road once was.

This hotel has a great location and the staff especially Chamnan was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated and but overall a great experience staying here. Note: you do hear the music from surrounding bars but that did not interfere with my sleep.

Not many amenities, and we did not use a swimming pool. The location, however, is excellent. Many restaurants, many things to do. Pub Street is very nearby, and the temple is about a 20 minute ride. Staff, was also very, very good. There is no restaurant, but again, there is a great restaurant right next-door.

Lovely large rooms, very comfortable. Large showers with good pressure and hot water. Clean towels everyday. Toiletries provided. Really good breakfast choice. Only thing we found was noisy at night being close to Pub Street. I had ear plugs and had no problem sleeping. Nice swimming pool. Towels provided. Walkable to all areas - pub street, night market, shops etc

The staff was absolutely amazing and the location was great. Right in the middle of the popular areas. The restaurant was delicious and breakfast was great.
The property was old, and the linens were stained. The mattress was terrible and the shower was hot/cold, but never a consistent temperature. The pool was pretty dingy.
If you want a low hassle hotel for a few days it's a good choice.

Down Town Mr. Brown! Can’t put a price on that!

It’s a great little hotel and I loved the staff, I will truly miss them, great people. Mr.Brown who provides the hotel with complimentary Tuk Tuk shuttles to and from the airport really made my time in Cambodia. He knew exactly where to take us and what we’d want to see, had dinner with him at his family home as well. I highly recommend this hotel and if not for the staff and location than for Mr. Brown. He will make your trip, just as he did ours. He’s got an eye for photography too so if you’re needing someone to take pictures he’s excited to help!

A beautiful little boutique hotel, perfect position. Loved everything about it, staff were fantastic. Absolute value for money. It can be a little loud at night but it didn't bother us we were usually so tired from being out and about in the heat we just passed out. Really loved staying here, will definitely be back ☺️

We booked a room at this hotel for 6 days but due too the noise from a disco across the road had to find alternative accommodation after 3days. The hotel did offer another room but it was totally suitable.
The disco on one night stopped at 0530 hrs and another night 0330 hrs so I would not recommend this hotel if you want a good night's sleep.

The hotel is opposite a disco venue , when we were there the music on one night only stopped at 0530 hrs and another night until 0330 hrs. We initially booked into this hotel for 6 days but after 3 we had to find another hotel inorder to get some sleep. The hotel did offer an alternative room but it was totally unsuitable, I would therefore not recommend this hotel, even though the staff are good, as the noise from the disco is totally

Apsara Centrepole Hotel

I loved this hotel. On arrival everything explained about area with some fruit and juice. Its location is in the heart of the city near to pub street, night market and lots of restaurants. The pool was beautiful surrounded by trees, it was a small pool but very refreshing after a long day. The room was well kept and had lemongrass oil burner so the room smell was great.

At breakfast you have a huge menu to choose from asian or western style in a great outdoor area.

Only negative would be you can hear music in distance at night time but it wasnt loud enough to disturb me.

Nice hotel locate near Night Market and Pub Street

Apsara is located near the pub street and night market which is just a few minute away. There is a convenience store nearby. The room is quite nice and big enough, the resort decoration is brilliant! But the water tend to be quite hot in the late afternoon as it might be an effect from the hot weather. Although the breakfast is not buffet but there are many choices of a la carte breakfast - it could be better if we can order 1 more set as The portion is not that big. Anyway, a worth paying hotel to visit!

What a Refreshing Change

I loved my stay here. I was here for four nights and I wish I could have stayed longer. I like places like this. It is elegant in an understated unpretentious way. The service was super, always attentive, always smiling. Everyone made me feel as if I were a special, honored guest. The place is small and kinda old, but there is a quality in the way it was built. The room doors are solid, hand-carved tropical hardwood. The same goes for the bed frame and wardrobe. I had room B15. It is a corner room and it is light and airy and has double, French doors that open onto a wrap-around balcony. The bathroom was cute. The breakfast was amazing. Excellent coffee! No bowl of cornflakes from a \"breakfast buffet\" here. One can enjoy breakfast on the patio and order from either a Western breakfast or an Asian breakfast menu. Each meal is individually prepared. Delicious. Wow! ... and best of all it's cheap. Stay here!

My stay here was very enjoyable. I was upgraded to their sister hotel for one night because the AC in my room was not working and they had to fix it. And then they provided the complimentary ride from one hotel to the other. Very seamless. The staff here is what makes this place so great. They are eager to great you and help you plan your day. The breakfast was enjoyable too, great coffee and good selection to choose from: Asian and Western options. The only complaint I had was that the patio door to my room didn’t close all the way so there were some mosquitos. But everything else made up for that. Especially because you’re just minutes walk from pub street and the night market. Great hotel.

Perfect location to enjoy the bustle of Siem Reap

Fantastic six days at this hotel - great value, lovely clean room with balcony, excellent service and friendly staff - the breakfast and the restaurant food is really good too and the outdoor restaurant is a little oasis in the centre of town. Given its central location, there's a bit of noise at night - but it did not disturb my sleep. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again!

A hidden gem in a beautiful spot of the world

Upon arrival the first meeting to welcome new guests was at first it seemed like a sales pitch, but after the first day I realized that it was a cultural misunderstanding and they just want your stay in their beautiful country to be that best it can. They are happy to accommodate any and all your tour needs from TukTuks with or with out a guide to SUV with AC {but you'll miss the local experience of the sounds and smells of the city).
When my flight was canceled the hotel was happy to help me with extending my time there till I could get a flight home. If or when I make it back to Cambodia this Gem will be my first choice for time in Siem Reap.

Staffs are very friendly and it was nice that they provided free upgrade to my room. Water heater takes a while to heat up but it’s all fine for the hot weather. Housekeeping was done everyday during my stay. Location is good, near to the pub street, old market and night market. The only downside was music can be loud till late night.

Stayed here for 5 nights in the twin deluxe room with my friend. A great location close by to all amenities and the service is simply put, amazing! the room was very clean and looked after. The bed was hands down one of the best beds in a hotel I've ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot of hotels! Love the fact that all linens and towels smell of fresh wash. The only negatives would be the lack of convenient power outlets and no mirror in the room. Very small and negligible cons though. Would definitely recommend.

Loved our stay at the Apsara Centrepole and would recommend it. The staff are lovely and truly understand good customer service. There's usually one strong English speaker like Ana on each shift so it's easy to communicate. The breakfast staff is excellent and the food and coffee/juice is delicious and I tried a different dish each day. They provided cold drinkable water and bottled waters daily. The location is great because it's a couple of blocks from Pub Street and the Night Market, however the music from Pub Street carry over so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. They have a great network of Tuktuk drivers who speak English, like Dany, who also understand good customer experience. Two thumbs up.

I went to Siem Reap to celebrate my birthday and the staff made the staff and my birthday one of the most memorable! They helped my friend setup a birthday surprise with balloons and a birthday cake. They later moved the balloons to our room and arranged several different ways. It's the small things that count and this hotel provides those things.

Hotel is located at a great spot as it is a short distance from the night markets, Pub Street and the Old Market. No problem to find marts and eating places along the street. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. One of the most comfortable beds that we have ever slept in and room is made up nicely every day. Only downside is that the shower water was less than lukewarm even though it was turnt to the max (if you like a warm shower, that is) and just opposite the hotel is a sports bar which got quite noisy at night.

The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the nightlife district. You don't need to take a taxi anywhere as restaurants and pubs are right on your door step. It could be a bit noisy in the evening if you have a room on the main road. Staff was very helpful and friendly and I think the only two things that I can say bad about the hotel is that the service by the pool is a bit slow and you have to keep on running to reception to order a beer and if you stay on the top floor you'll struggle with your luggage as the stair is very narrow. Other than that the hotel is perfect and I'll definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Amazing staff, they go over and above to help make your stay a pleasant one. Very comfortable clean hotel. We had the deluxe room which was very spacious. Breakfast was served at the table - a choice of a few menus available. Pool was not very big but enough to cool off in after a long hot day. Location great, close to night markets, restaurants, pub street etc. However just a little noise could be heard at night from outside probably coming from Pub street, but not enough to bother us at all. The first night we arrived we noticed a few mosquitos around the courtyard area but they were taken care of the next day when we were notified that they would be spraying for an hour mid morning.
Would definitely choose this hotel again.

Welcoming staff made our stay! The hotel is also perfectly located for the markets and Pub Street. Eat dinner at Haven, the staff will arrange a tuk tuk, ours even stayed and waited for us to come back out. Highly recommend. Hope to get back.

We were supposed to stay at the Apsara Centrepole Hotel but once we arrived, we were informed that we had been upgraded to their new hotel, the Apsara Residence Hotel. They provided us a welcome drink and dropped us off at the Residence Hotel, where we were again greeted with a welcome drink and upgraded to an Executive Room with a Private Pool. What a welcomed surprise! The room was very large with a separate shower and bathroom area, very comfortable king sized bed, and the WiFi was decent as well. Overall, the service at this hotel was unbelievably great. The hotel Manager was wonderful. The staff was able to help us arrange anything and everything we needed. They arranged a half day tuk-tuk driver for Angkor Wat for $12 and a whole day driver for $25 (preferred currency is USD in Cambodia), even providing a pre-packaged breakfast for our early trip to the temples. The driver stayed with us the entire trip, taking us from temple to temple. The hotel was in a great location as well, 5-10 minutes from the old market, great restaurants, and Pub Street for the night life. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in a great area near downtown and Pub Street, so if is very convenient for dinner and night life but still quiet and safe. I reserved a Deluxe room and was given a room on the ground floor, that was noisy and every employee and delivery person walked by my terrace within a meter with just a small shrub for privacy. The room was well furnished but I could hear the phones ring in reception and the kitchen staff (who started at around 5am). One day there was no toilet paper in the room but they fixed it when I mentioned it. After two nights, I spoke to the manager about my concerns and he moved me to a better located, bigger and more private room on the second floor in the front. There were a few problems with this room initially, which were quickly addressed for the most part. The A/C was leaking on the floor, neither bedside lamp worked and the like. But they fixed the air conditioner, one lamp worked and the room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast that came with the room was good but they only served until 9am, so if you are a late sleeper, tough luck. In this regard, it is as if breakfast is for their comfort and not the guest. The staff in this hotel are outstanding and genuinely want your visit to be comfortable. Basically, there is a lack of attention to detail in the rooms that seems to be the problem. I would suggest the manager get off his commuter and visit the rooms occasionally to see the condition of the product that he is selling.

The best comment goes for the staff: they all were great, especially John, who helped us organization all our trips every day (the 2-day stay extended to 6 days).

In our stay, we were in 3 different room types as we got upgraded every 2 days. Rooms are reasonably spacious, clean and comfortable.

The hotel is located just 5 minutes away from the popular set of restaurants and shopping centers.

In summary, a great experience.

The hotel was filled with bugs - mosquito and other insects. Hotel didn't seem concerned and didn't do anything to improve the situation. They also entered our room without our consent when we left our room for dinner after we told them several times not to go into the room. The shower was also poorly designed and so it would flood the bathroom floor every time we showered. Staff were also unhelpful and desperate for tips. This hotel's only saving grace is that it is located in a good location, close to Pub Street and walking distance from many of the sites in Siem Reap.

The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of nearly everything in Siem Reap. The hotel staff was outstanding. We were treated extremely well, like special guests. they could not have been nicer or more helpful. The room was comfortable, but some places were missed in the cleaning (not a major problem). Nice swimming pool and the hallways and lobby are tastefully decorated. I enjoyed being able to sit on the terrace to relax.

Apsara is located near Pub Street. Other markets etc are also located nearby. Staff are extremely friendly and will go out of there way to assist you. Only criticism I had was layout of our room...bathroom was actually in the main room and bed firmness (most beds are extra firm in SE Asia). Hotel is old but being inner Siem Reap you would expect that.

Convenient but quiet boutique, great internet

Would not hesitate to recommend this small friendly hotel. Very nice and helpful staff, front desk staff understand English very well. Nice quiet courtyard for breakfast. Internet very fast and up 24x7. I chose this hotel from among the high based on 'good internet', was not disappointed even at all hours of day and night.

Within walking distance from the many restaurants of pub street, around the corner from the main tourist area, but on a more quiet side street. The hotel and the room itself (back off the street) was very quiet. One night just a little noise from live band bar out on the main street but it ended early. Generous non-buffet breakfast. Twin balcony room very clean and goodnice size. Fridge in the room so I could keep my own cold drinks and fruit. 24 hour convenience store on the corner. A/C did not blow me away, but strong enough to get the room quite cool.

Superb location, superb hotel

I´ve heard about Cambodian hospitality before, but we were surprised. Extremly kind, allways smiling staff made our stay very pleasant. Location could not be better - in quiet street but close to Pub street, market and shop. Room w. common terrace with seaating was spacious, bathroom nice + another bathtube ouside on second terrace. Wi-Fi worked good. Staff helped with all trips around. And all this for really budget price. Definitely return!

Good central hotel. Friendly staff - the main big negative was the poor breakfast. A set menu which didn't offer much - hardly any fruit. Everything else fine.

Perfect location

Close to the centre of town

5 mins walking distance to all the shops and nightlife area - Pub Street. Price of food reasonable and the people are friendly. No taxis only motorised three wheelers. Angkor Wat is the main reason for millions of tourist to visit Siem Reap considered as one of the Man made wonders of the world. Worth visitng.

Great little hotel.

Great hotel only a minutes walk from Pub Street, Night Markets and the centre, only let down by the poor breakfast which could've started earlier too and the hotel failing to arrange for a taxi collection from the airport after several confirmation emails.

1. Small boutique hotel with 19 rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
2. Excellent location, 3-min walk to Pub Street. Many good restaurants nearby like Genevieve's, Haven and Khmer Kitchen restaurant.

Negative points
1. Bathroom design - after shower, the bathroom floor is all wet. shower curtain needed!
2. It can be quite noisy til 2am or 3am. There's a roof top bar & restaurant nearby. On Dec/24, they played disco music til dawn!

Three Great Days in Siem Reap!

Wonderful! Staff so friendly and helpful. Arranged car and driver for us to visit Angkor Wat the evening we arrived. Roomy rooms. Location ideal being 2 minutes from Pub Street, Markets, etc. Nice if small pool to lounge around but very quiet; ideally heated. Good internet. Good English breakfast, or local if you desire. Drinks readily available poolside, and inexpensive. Being a small hotel, the service is very personalized -- everyone knows you. We'd stay there again if we returned.

Lovely hotel

Was great to stay here and be so close to everything! Would recommend. I really enjoyed staying here for my first trip to Cambodia. Lovely having a pool too. The lotus flowers in bowls are a nice touch.

Back for a Second Stay

This hotel is one of my favourites. This is the second time I have stayed here. It is in a superb location. 50M from pub street. Other places such as minimarts, laundry services ($1/Kg)pharmacies and markets are less than a minutes walk away. The staff are amazing - helpful and friendly. There is a free tuk tuk pickup service as well. Tip: there is a store just around the corner which does eyeglasses very cheap. as low as $US9 for the very basic. I bought 2 pairs of Rayban frames with tinted prescription lenses for about $US100

Great Choice

Warmly greeted at the hotel with a welcome drink and relaxed friendly service. The hotel is charming with clean and comfortable rooms, a lovely pool area out the back and a charming courtyard to enjoy breakfast in the front. The location is fantastic just a short stroll to Pub Street, lots of fantastic restaurants or the markets. Exceptionally friendly service, great tuk tuk service from the hotel for Angkor Wat or city tours and great value for money.

Good location.

The hotel is small, but the rooms were comfortable. Pool was also a little small but it was great at the end of the day.
As the place isn't very big, the breakfast is not buffet: you get the choice of four options. The service wasn't very good and we had to ask repeatedly to have all our food brought out. Ie: eggs with toast come out without toast. Yoghurt (with optional fruit or plain) but they disnt have any yoghurt
Despite the food and the communication issues I would stay there again though. The location is great and the price was good.

Superb welcome

Large bright clean fresh rooms. Breakfast area outside works very well. Location is perfect, right near pub street and all the action yet none of the noise. The welcome we had was the best I have hadanywhere.The staff are absolutely wonderful, helpful, caring, informative I could go on. This hotel slips into my \"highly recommended\" catergory very easily.
