The property refunded my money because of the COVID19 global pandemic. I could not get into the country. The Airlines could not fly into Cambodia. The COuntry was not issuing tourist visas and the hotel was closed because of all this. SO they issue me a a total refund with Expedia's Help. If they ever open up again I will book with Expedia and stay at the Salasara Hotel because they helped me out. All the best.

Nice atmosphere, clean room, nice pool and restaurant/bar area. Room was basic, no elevator to get to 3rd floor with luggage. Staff was great! Desk staff very helpful. Our server in the restaurant/bar was Bunsorng. He was very helpful in making menu choices and even loaning his phone charger while we had drinks. Onsite massage was great after a long day of site seeing. Did not enjoy the roosters crowing at 4:30 in the morning.

Good hotel close to everything

We booked 5 nights and were happy with this hotel. The staff is nice and helpful, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We even got to check-in early free of charge. The location is very central, close to everything by foot. Lots of restaurant options nearby. Breakfast was limited though.

Great place to stay!

This place was great and the people who worked here were very friendly! They were able to set up a tuktuk to take me to Angkor Wat, which the driver was great. It is close enough to Pub Street you can walk without all the loudness that comes with it. The pool is nice but definitely needs to be cleaned more regularly (not just add chlorine, there was quite a bit in there). The restaurant was great and the service was top notch! And the wifi worked great. I would definitely stay here again! The one major problem I had was with the toilet in my room as it didn't flush very well. It didn't seem like there was much that the front desk could do...

Convenient hotel, centrally located

Nice hotel, value for money, very convenient if anyone wants to stay to Siem Reap few days in order to visit the temples. The staff are very kind and helpful and they speak good english. They provide free tuk tuk transport from and to the airport. On the downside, our room was very small, there was nowhere to store our luggage and the windows did not open. Very good location, near the market and lots of good restaurants.

Location is great. Just a block away from Night Market but there is no noise at all.

The room I didnt like at all. Very dark and cold. No room for suitcase or any stuff

Had hotel booked out 1.5 months. When it was time to go, they did not have the room we paid for due to construction. Even had to walk over a plank to enter the property. We were never informed of this despite being in contact for our airport transfer.

The restaurant/bar was not the only part being worked on. Major construction was right outside our downgraded room, very noisy, workers watching us through our windows and generally no privacy unless we wanted to sit in a darkened room with closed blinds. A critter, possibly a bat, was fluttering in the AC unit.

We stayed one hour before realizing they weren’t going to be straightforward about anything and that every day would likely be this uncomfortable. Not to mention they didn’t have a room with two beds.

We are struggling to get a refund for our three nights. Extremely disappointing experience.

When I phoned to book a tuk tuk pick-up, the front desk didn’t have my booking reservation on file, but Expedia did an excellent job of contacting the hotel manager and sorting everything out.

We had a free tuk tuk pick and and drop off from the hotel. We arrive at 6am and the hotel gave us a room to rest in until our room was ready for check-in. The staff were great, and the hotel was quiet.

Only downside is the bedding seemed a little dirty and old. Fresh bedding and towels would be good...

The Best thing about the hotel is its staff! Always friendly, full of smiles and very, very courteous.
The room I got was on the 2nd floor. Steep, narrow stairs to climb with no elevator. One of the staff members - the receptionist - carried my suitcase all the way up to my room.But it was a struggle for her as well and so, not a very pleasing sight for me.
The food is the poorest feature of this hotel. The breakfast was just about ok, but the dinner was horrible. To keep it simple, I ordered Khmer (local) dishes for each meal, but each one had the taste of instant food. On one occasion, 3 out of the 5 dishes I chose from the menu were not available.
The room was alright, but the door had an old fashioned key that took some effort to be locked.
The massages are undoubtedly the best services offered by the hotel. They are awesome and very, very affordable. You could get a massage either at the massage center or right at your room.

Salasara was excellent. We loved it. A super pool added to the pleasures. ALL staff were delightful and efficient. The tuk tuk driver they arranged for us was wonderful. He managed to show us all the special places without any crowds. Clever timing.
It is situated in a nice quiet cul de sac but in a general area that is probably better suited to youngsters. However it was beautifully quiet in the hotel. I loved the open sided dining area.

The hospitality was great! We would recommend they install dran traps to prevent bad odors rising into the rooms from the shower drains. The location is qalking distance feom pub street, yet far enough from the noise.

All good except the driver named Ratana

There is a driver named Ratana. He was organised by hotel to pick up us from airport. On the way to hotel, he said if we want to have a driver for one days we'd better book with him directly which would be cheaper than booking though the hotel. He said $5 for a day we agreed. Then he drove us from 10:30am to 7pm. Average services which we did not expect too much. At the end of the day he said it was $25 not 5. We misundersood him. Frankly speaking before he changed story, we already planed to tip him becaus it was a long day and $5 did not seem to be fair. But we hate people said one price at the beginning but change to another after the service. Eventually we paid him $15. Not very happy but do not want to spend one more 1 second with this liar

Clean, quiet, central location

Excellent friendly service- Thida the concierge, and Danni the manager speaks very good English, and was always helpful with advice about the surrounding tourist attractions.
Our Room was clean and comfortable and only short walking distance to Night Markets and local markets that was close to river. We were here off season it rained a lot- hotel provides umbrellas.
We spent a lot of time in the pool!

Wonderful hotel in a perfect location!

I took a solo trip to Siem Reap and stayed at Secrets Pavilion for two nights. I had an amazing time. The staff are INCREDIBLY friendly. Upon arrival I was told al about the options they offered for tours. Within minutes I was set up with a full day tour for the following day which provided me a tuk tuk driver for the entire day as well as breakfast packed for me to take along at 4:30AM as I was doing a sunrise tour. The location of the hotel is perfect. Easy walking distance to the Night Market and Pub Street as well as amazing restaurants, but also far enough away from the commotion that you can have peaceful days and nights. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again. Thank you Secrets Pavilion for making my first trip to Cambodia memorable.

Large ground floor bedroom near the charming pool.
A 10 minute walk past multiple restaurants to the Night Market and Pub Street.

A lovely relaxing stay

We spent 3 nights at the hotel as we were visiting Ankor Wat and other temples. What a lovely place to stay after the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

The staff were amazing, helpful and always available to assist with any questions we had. Danny, the manager was very friendly and provided us with lots of information. The hotel is based around the corner to the night market and lots of bars and restaurant but you could never hear any noise from these establishments. Market was great for getting presents and souvenirs and plenty of choice for food.

Mr Rom, a Tuk Tuk driver, associated with the hotel was fabulous. His driving was great, not too fast, and steady over the rough patches.

After a day of walking around the beautiful ruins we returned to the Secrets Pavilion and had a swim in the small but perfect swimming pool.

When we go back to Siem Reap we will definitely be staying here again.

Great hotel in convenient location

Although this hotel is located on a dirt road, once you arrive it feels as if you are in a garden. This quiet oasis is close to the night market and various restaurants within walking distance. The rooms and the pool are clean. Our room had issues with hot water but we were switched to another room with warm water. They were able to arrange a tuk-tuk tour guide for the temples (Rex is wonderful).

Very nice hotel with great location. It is located near the night market sonyou get a lot of dining and shopping options. Staff was great! Always willing to help and make sure we were okay. The only thing that I would change is adding a door to the shower since sometimes the whole bathroom gets wet.

Decent hotel in a dirt alleyway

Overall this is an okay hotel. It's very cute looking and boutique like, however it's on a random dirt, rundown alleyway. They also have no elevator which makes it hard if you have big heavy luggage. There is also no shower curtain so when you shower it gets the rest of the small bathroom wet. In addition, the doors to the rooms can be improved, because they are wooden slats there are small slits in between them which lets in the mosquitoes. A couple positives about this hotel is that the staff is very friendly and they let us have a free late check out. Also, it is walking distance to the night market, which is really great.

We stayed at Secrets Pavillion for three nights mid December. I have to commend the staff! They were nothing short of amazing. They were always cheerful, greeted you with a smile and were always willing to help out. Shout out to Thida (I hope I spelt your name right) at reception. Your customer service skills are fantastic and you are an asset to the hotel. The hotel is relatively new and set up in a modern way but still felt very homy. Our room was clean, spacious and the windows opened out to the courtyard which was shaded by lovely palm trees. The pool was cleaned daily and there were plenty of sun lounges. The hotel was located 10 min walk from the Night Market and Pub Street. If you're down for cheap cocktails and loud music, a highly recommend taking a walk down Pub Street :) Absolutely enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!

Nice hotel, fantastic staff.

The room was simple but very comfortable and all the facilities were kept in good condition. Our stay was made memorable, though, by the absolutely delightful staff. Everyone we spoke to was incredibly friendly, polite and helpful and we were made to very welcome. They were always available to give advice about trips and transport and made booking everything very easy.
I've never written a hotel review before but the staff here deserve all the praise they can get.
Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable, eye-opening and relaxing stay, I look forward to seeing you if we ever return to Siem Reap.

Stay 4 days and was satisfied with the location and services rendered by the hotel.The staff was very attentive and converse well in english. The pool was very relaxing and breakfast was good. The Hotel was good, clean, staff were friendly and the location was quiet. However they did not have most of the food items listed on their menu available, and I had to go to another place to eat. The drink menu is very limited, and they did not properly clean my room one day when I requested it: just made the bed but did not change bed sheets, provide new towels or emty the garbage containers. Over all pretty good but needs improvement in food and drink availability and in room service standards.

What an amazing surprise this was! This was our first trip to Cambodia and we were blow away by this hotel, it's staff and Siem Reap in general. The hotel is tucked away from most of the bluster you can find in the night market area and Pub street, I say most because we visited during Cambodian New Year celebrations which were still quite loud at times. The room had plenty space for two and the shower was fantastic. We didn't spend a great deal of time in our room because the area is full of history and charm, but the time we did spend there was a delight. Good food, great pool, and great staff who are extremely helpful and courteous. Highly recommended.

Awkward service for an OK hotel

For a boutique hotel, there was much to be desired.

When I arrived, the clerk couldn't find my booking. He was on his first day, and the rest of the staff was away at a party. The first room he tried to give me had open brickwork to let in the heat and noise, plus the door didn't lock. I insisted on a better room and was given a twin (not the double I'd booked) that actually closed all the way.

The room itself wasn't bad, but it was full of mosquitoes, and there was at least one huge cockroach per night. Also, at breakfast, I usually had to explain my order several times, even though it involved pointing at an item on the menu.

Also, the hotel is down an alleyway that most tuktuk drivers don't know. Make sure you bring a map with you, and be aware that Google Maps sends you the wrong way sometimes.

On the plus side, the infinity pool was lovely, and the Wi-Fi was strong. And it was pleasant enough that I booked extra days. And they helped to set up local tours at decent prices.

Hotel is ok maybe for a short visit

Pro's - Hotel is in a pretty good location being close to pub street and the night market. Is an easy walk. Nice gardens and helpful / accommodating staff. The pool is a nice addition.

Con's. Simple breakfast which gets very boring if staying longer then 3 nights. Foul smell coming from the toilets which made us feel sick. Siem Reap has no proper surage system. We were moved to a different room which didn't smell as bad but was still noticeable. All rooms seemed to have this problem with some being worse then others.

We wont be staying here again when visiting next year.

We arrived and left on a night bus, and the staff had our room ready at 5.30am and let us stay until our bus at 11.30pm two days later! We were so surprised, and very appreciative. Good spot for us near the busy part of town but far enough away that it was really quiet. Room and grounds were great.

The swimming pool is great after a day out exploring Siem Reap. The street leading to the hotel is quite rough but the free shuttle at night solve the problem. Definitely staying there again. It's a gem!

I absolutely adored this place! The location is amazing as it's near a great road with many good restaurants as well as very close to pub street and the night market, yet its not loud. The rooms are fantastic and the pool is a great place to relax. The restaurant/lobby area is super nice as well. The breakfast is ok, nothing special, and I would recommend the other restaurants just down the road as the food at the hotel is mediocre and more expensive. Otherwise this place is an absolute gem! I would highly recommend it and will definitely stay there again!

A Secret Slice of Joy

Cambodia was the first stop on a solo trip around the world and I had no idea what to expect. The Secrets Pavilion Urban Boutique Hotel was flat out amazing. Before I arrived, I emailed the hotel regarding directions from the airport and the offered me a complimentary pick up, this lifted a weight off my shoulders. As I arrived he was waiting for me with a smile on his face and my name on a card. During my stay they helped organise a trip to the Angkor Wat for sunrise and as I left at 5am they already had a fully cooked breakfast cooked for me to eat on my travels. The town also suffered a power outage during my stay but due to the back up generator the hotel made sure that guests had as much electricity during prime times and would tell us personally if it would have to been turned off.

Great boutique hotel, would stay again!

We booked a last minute stay at this hotel and I'm so pleased we did. From the minute we arrived we were given complimentary drinks, cold towels after we returned from excursions and the reception staff are always smiling and happy to help. The manager is also very friendly and helpful and great to ask for advice. We used their tuktuks to go visit Angkor Wat (very reasonable prices $15 for main circuit, $18 for longer circuit) and they very kindly let us have a late checkout for our evening bus. Highly recommend!

We gave everyone tips, from the waitress, cook, to hotel staff, including housekeepers. They gave us excellent service.
When we called for plumbing problem (shower floor slow drain, cause by hairs accumulation), immediately, the cleaner came and cleaned it. The \"tok-tok\" the hotel provided us was just great, he was there to picked up us at the airport and for the tour, and back to the airport for our return trip. Incidentally, the people we met in the market, in the tourist spots, on the streets, in the restaurants, were nice and pleasant . We enjoyed our stay in Siem Reap (although just 2 nights only). But I have a warning to all those who will go to Siem Reap. My wife and I had a very bad experience during the time we have to check in, for our boarding pass. The staffs involved in this encounter cheated us through coercion $400.00 USD. The airline is JETSTAR. He claimed that 1 baggage is overweight, although not, and also charged us for the small baggage, a total of 2 checked in baggage: a carry on size but overstuffed baggage and a big baggage that weighs only less than 45 lbs. $400.00 USD for only 2 baggage that we checked in? We refused to pay, but he pushed out our baggages from the weighing area, and I have to put it back up. It was a bad experience we suffered for the first time that my wife and I have been travelling. I would not fly JETSTAR even for free.

Comfortable hotel with friendly & helpful staff

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel.
Free airport pick up and check in with clod lime drink was super smooth and they are friendly with good manner.
The location is close to night market and pub street. However, the road around the hotel was still rough, they even provided free Tuk Tuk services in front of the hotel to the main road in the evening.
I appreciate the extra services such as takeaway breakfast when I had a sunrise tour from 5am and iPhone charger rental from one of the front staff :)

The staff were very nice. I had not read clearly enough of room amenities, there was not a tv. The walk to and from pub street was awful with all the car and motorcycle traffic. For that one reason we would not book this hotel again. Very nice breakfast.

Very nice place in central but quiet location

We stayed at the Secret Pavilion for one week. Rooms are spacy and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice garden and pool area. Everything is very well maintained and makes you feel comfortable when relaxing after a long day in the temples.
Included breakfast is basic but will keep you going until lunch. If you leave for the temples early they prepare a little breakfast package for take away.

Location is right behind the night market in a side street about 10 minutes by foot to the center with pub street and old market.

The bathrooms could be a bit more nicely decorated but this is maybe up to personal taste. Beside this we can absolutely recommend this place and would stay there again.

Hotel worse than how it appears in Internet

Quite dark rooms which smell like cement. This is because they saved on tiles or painting in the shower/ toilet. Beds have quite hard mattress. Bedsheets and towels are clean and ok. The included breakfast is spartan and a good way to loose weight. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to the night market but connected by a dirt road.

The hotel is comfortable and clean, the staff nice. You have the basic amenities but don't expect a 5 star experience. It has 5 floors but no elevator. So make sure your luggage are manageable and not too large as the stairs are narrow. They serve good breakfast of eggs, toast or muesli accompanied by your choice of juice, coffee or milk. While other reviews and descriptions say the hotel is right along the night market, it isn't direct access. You will need to ride a sidecar (hotel provides complimentary service to and from a drop off point of the night market Street every 5-10 mins) to go around. The street going isn't well lighted and paved as well so wouldn't recommend walking. Other than the small complaint on location, with the price, I would recommend this to friends visiting.

Out of the way, for now.

We were in a 2nd floor room with no view. Close to the pool and lobby. The grounds were nice. We enjoyed 4 days with Mr. Pork, our assigned tuktuk driver. The neighbourhood was under construction, so walking around was a challenge. We were close to Pub Street and the Night Market, but it took a while to get around. Breakfast was fresh, but basic.

lovely building and pool. bathrooms had cocooning vents so sound traveled from other rooms. lots of music at night from clubs and markets and barking dogs made sleep difficult at times and unsealed roads made for dusty walks.

This is the best !

This is more than just a hotel , it's like a home . The manager talked with us as if we knew each other before , the staffs will NEVER walk by without a smile and humble greeting , the pool is the CLEANEST , the location is safe and quiet . I love this hotel and I love the management team, I love the wonderful people working there , I love the food and I really appreciate EVERYTHING there . I am coming back to Cambodia and I will stay there again .

The staff at this hotel were very lovely and friendly. The hotel is a very short walk from town but is tucked at the end of a dusty side lane with lots of locals living nearby. This makes it feel less touristy and quieter. The only downside is it isn't very nice walking back at night, especially as there is some construction going on however the hotel do provide a free tuk tuk shuttle service that takes you to and from the main road (from 7pm to 11pm). My room was clean and had everything needed. However the free room I was provided to use to shower in after I had already checked out (I'm very grateful for this) had a lot of flies in the bathroom. This room was on the ground floor so perhaps just avoid these rooms. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here.
