Do not bother. Both stays i am stuck in the lobby for an hour while they \"freshen the room\". Add to this the fact that i bought the lrevious night and checked in at 1130am because they failed to complete an aiport pickup...then arrive to be held in the lobby for a room that has a noon checkout 30 minutes later. Nice rooms and clean. But the staff ia clueless. They have no idea what service is. You oay for a night and an airport pickup and then get left to your own solution.

The hotel was in a great location with plenty of dining options within a five minute walk. The night market is just down the street and pub street isn't too much farther. The room was clean, but was lacking in power outlets. Standard bathroom amenities. You can book tours and rent equipment through the front desk or they can refer you to a company.

This is a great hotel , the staff are excellent. They always try to be helpful and efficient. The locatoin is brilliant being close to Pub street, Night market and restaurants. I have stayed before and will stay again .

Excellent hotel with extremely professional and friendly staff. Not fair to highlight individuals when ALL staff were so good but must compliement Mr Thy at chekin / front of desk who looked after me throughout, as well as Ms Lum, in the restaurant Ms. Sokna and at the BBQ
On the terrace Mr Tim Sokha. The gentleman on the rooftop bar is delightfully helpful too. Rooftop pool Was very quiet the times I was there and was a lovely oasis to cool down amd relax at.

To no fault of the hotel, the level of outside noise from nearby bars with live music kept us awake until 1.00am. This would only be an issue if you wanted to get up for the sunrise Angkor tour (leaving hotel 4.45am) which we were. Otherwise, good experience.

Staff were very helpful and accommodating to make our stay pleasant. Right in the hub of activities - this is a positive or negative depending on your preferences. For us, we usually like to be near all the local venues for dining and tour access. It was not required however as the hotel set all up for us with a fantastic private driver, making the whole experience easy and trouble free.

Hotel conveniently arranged for my pickup at airport. Location is near Night Market and Pub Street. Room was nice and rate was very good and water was cold in the shower during those very hot high humidity days. Two pool were available for use.

Great stay at Cheathata Angkor Hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. Adequate room although a bit dim. Room could do with more lights, particularly the bathroom/toilet. Location cannot be faulted, close to food and shops. Unfortunately it was a little noisy at times. Breakfast spread was sparse but adequate.Had to cross the street for breakfast but it was not an issue. Patchy wifi.

Loved it!

We had a fantastic time at the Cheathata Suites Hotel. We had booked the smaller Cheathata hotel, but upgraded. This gave us a much better room and we were very satisfied with all the hotel had to offer. The pool was sensational. Sophea on reception was the highlight of our stay. She was helpful, funny and a delight to talk to. We will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel close to markets and restaurants.

The staff are wonderful. The rooftop pool is great after a day touring temples. The breakfast is good, not amazing. We aren't fans of floor draining showers that leave the floor wet and slippery.

Good price and good location

This hotel is located by the night market so there are lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful in arranging tickets, tours, drivers, etc. I had a late night flight and was able to pay extra for a later check out. The room and bathroom were large and clean. The aircon worked well. The wifi was decent. I would definitely recommend this place to others. The only drawback was this was the older building so the breakfast and pool were located in the other building which was just across the street.

The location was great, very close to Pub Street yet was not close enough to get all of the noise at night. Room was nice. Beds were very hard, not the most comfortable. Definitely enjoyed the rooftop pool, room service, complimentary breakfast and transportation to and from the airport.

Excellent value for money. The hotel is within walking distance to all the central hotspots, Pub Street, night markets,
restaurants etc. The hotel staff were very courteous and attentive. We had to cross the road for breakfast at the Cheathata Angkor Suites but this was no problem, nice buffet selection. The room was spacious and very clean. Would certainly stay there again.

We booked via Expedia which has photos of pool main foyer etc but when we arrived we were going to be put into sub standard hotel across the street being a dirt road full of bike traffic so no pool there small rooms old and breakfast Actoss the street. After complaining about this deception on website very kind manager agreed and upgraded us too executive rooms in the main hotel.

Our room was very nice, clean, spacious and good air-conditioning with a sitting area and balcony that looked out on to the night market. Breakfast was a buffet with a reasonable selection of food and you could order eggs which never took long and really fresh croissants. The pool area was pleasant with poolside light meals and bar. We found the staff to be helpful and pleasant throughout our stay.
Sadly trying to arrange airport transfer through the hotel was the one area we didn’t find them reliable regarding which was a disappointing end to an otherwise great 5 day stay. No one was at the airport when we arrived & on departure we were assured the car was booked but when we arrived in reception we were told it was on another job which would have made us late at the airport. So we didn't get our free airport transfer. Despite this disappointment we would stay here again.

Don't book online as they have 2 hotels and the one we booked didn't have a pool and was in the middle of construction. Once we upgraded to their other hotel our stay was excellent, just like what we were seeing online

Good hotel in the center of Siem Reap

Very clean and large room, real wooden floor, wooden furniture chosen with taste (simple and matching the floor), bathtub, large choice of breakfast and adorable staff. Bathtub plug hole was missing, they immediately helped to replace it. If I have to find a point to improve, water temperature in the bathroom had dangerous variations. Maybe some works on water during our stay, we didn't ask.
Swimming pool is not big but the rooftop is very nicely arranged and worth enjoying the sunset with a drink. Definitely would recommand this hotel.

Check in was a breeze , the staff were very friendly. The hotel was immaculately clean and the rooms were cleaned well everyday. The night markets and pub street are within walking distance and there's a nice little market next door to hotel and a bar with live music, very family friendly. I highly recommend this little hotel and on our next trip to Siem Reap we will definitely be staying there again.

Great place to spend a few days!

Had a wonderful stay at the Cheathata Hotel. I stayed in the old building. If you want to use the pool it is best to ask for a room in the new or pool building. The room was quiet, clean, large. The staff were so nice. I enjoyed talking with them. Breakfast was good. Few choices for western tastes. Note: if you want eggs for breakfast you must ask for them. The staff is happy to cook the eggs for you.
There is construction going on at the hotel and across the street so you will hear some noise from that occasionally. But it is minor.
I will stay at the Cheathata Angkor again my next trip.

Would given a higher review if I had stayed in the newer part of Hotel but I stayed in the part that was being renovated. Also there should have been a sign on the locked door facing the main street that that part was closed for renovation and that there was another door on the side.

This was a very nice and conveniently located hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. Siem Reap is a very touristy town, so don't expect differently. The hotel staff went above and beyond helping us navigate getting up to prasat preah vihear and across the border at choam.

Ghost hotel with no amenities or hot water

No activity at all. Like a ghost hotel. Only one family at
breakfast. Lizard on wall. Dim lighting in room - so dim that I couldn't read with all of them on. Old dingy bathroom no hot water. Switches don't work as labeled curling light also turns off plugs so electronics won't charge. Plugs not US style like every other hotel had. No outlets near bed. Had to walk across the street for breakfast. Weak coffee, noodles rice, congee, French toast. Could not even get an egg properly- like a poached egg. I showed them a picture and they finally got it. Pool also in other bldg. Complained about lack of jetted tub and rain shower (per description), having to walk to another building for any amenities, and poor lighting so they \"upgraded\" us to corner suite with same lighting same bathroom. But this time TWO lamps and bathroom had a window with horizontal blinds on the inside. Doubt they are cleaned very well but there are 2 outside windows so a bit more light. Lobby completely silent- a very uninviting place to sit. Thank god there was the sound of tuk tuks or I'd go insane.

The hotel was fine, though the street noise in the building we were in (the suites) is significant. The balcony in our room had a small gap between the doors that let the sound of loud music and vendors in throughout the night. Also, all electricity to the room shuts off when you leave, and so we couldn't leave any devices behind to charge. Other than that, it was fine. Lovely rooftop pool and a nice staff.

Mostly good, few minor complaints

Very good hotel. Fantastic location, 2-3 minute walk to the Old Market and Pub Street. Right next to the night market. 4 minute walk to the Art Street. Plenty of local cheap local restaurants nearby and even more western/local restaurants (albeit at a higher price). 15 minute tuk-tuk ride to Angkor Watt.

Hotel room was comfortable with a good bathroom. AC unit took a few minutes to cool the room down but still reasonably quick. Strong wifi signal with relatively good speed, which is seemingly rare to find in hotels.

Staff was helpful and polite.

Complaint time: I was in the old wing so I had to cross the street (more like a dirt path) to get to the new wing for breakfast. That wasn't a big deal though, just a tiny inconvenience. Also, breakfast was mediocre at best. You're much better off getting breakfast at another restaurant that was just as close as the new wing from the old wing.

Other than that, I would recommend this place whole-heartedly. Just don't get the breakfast unless you're strapped for time.

But still, it has everything you need and if you're not spending much time in the hotel it's great as its' location is a two minute walk from some of the best restaurants, the bars and night market in the centre of town

Great Hotel near Night Market

I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel for 5 days while my girlfriend and I checked out Ankor and Siem Reap.
On the first night we were having promblem with the shower not draining, upon contacting reception someone was sent up to fix it but the problem persisted.
I spoke to the manager who was extremely friendly and helpful, so helpful in fact that because of the bathroom issue he upgraded us to a larger room with a balcony.
I would not hesitate to stay here again

Terrible experience - Do not stay

My stay was awful and I would not recommend this hotel. As an international tourist I do not expect the hotel to send a drunk driver to collect me from the airport. In particular as a female traveller at night. I ended up having to get another lift with another tourist, as the second car driver the hotel sent never arrived.

Condition of the hotel is very good because it's a very new hotel. The staffs are very friendly especially the manager John. The location is excellent because it is located between the pub street and night markets. In addition, there is a small bus agency just opposite the hotel (5 meters away) where I bought the bus ticket to Thailand. Very convenient and excellent choice for travelers. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay

We were travelling south west Asia, and this hotel was our favorite thru out our entire trip. Before leaving I had emailed concerning the airport pick up, and they replied immediately. A nice man with a tuk-tuk was waiting for us at he airport and took us to the hotel. A fantastic way to see Siem Reap. Arriving at the hotel the lovely staff, told us to sit and relax, offered a cold towel and a beverage as they retrieved our reservation. The young lady then bought us to our big beautiful room. So much space! The Hotel is on a busy street, 5 min from Pub st., but when you close your balcony doors it's a quiet peaceful night. The location is great for food, cheap foot massages, and a cold drink. We took a tuk-tuk to and around Angkor Wat for the day, then enjoyed a quick dip in the pool that's located on the rooftop. This hotel was perfect in every way. Thank You.

Location was awesome, night market was just a block away, 5 minute walk to Pub Street. Big bed, comfy. Clean room. Lots of space to put your things away. Just wish that the balcony was usable, too small! Never ended up using the pool. It was small but looked fine to cool down. Amok in restaurant was delicious and overall pricing for was great. Breakfast was average but fine to fill you up. Staff were super friendly. Slight hiccup when they forgot to book tour guide to Angkor Wat for us as requested; however, they got us one with only 30 minute delay. Tuk tuk driver, Lon, was great. Provided round transportation to airport and to Angkor Wat. Overall, great stay and very convenient.

Ms. Solida at the front desk (reception) was very nice. She arranged for a car service...was always smiling and pleasant with requests. The rest of the staff were also very attentive and friendly despite their limited English. I would highly recommend Cheathata Angkor hotel to my friends. Location is good (close to Pub Street, the night and day markets and some good spas. The hotel although small, is clean My sister and I loved the rooftop pool, great for cooling off after a day at the temples.

Booked 3 rooms during stay. Awesome location near Angkor night market. Psar Chaa/Pub Street easy walking distance. Hotel is clean and excellent condition and has elevator. Pool may be small (as other reviewers have whined about), but its better than nothing and has awesome roof top views. Breakfast is ok and could be better. Took advantage of free airport pick up. Prompt reply via email when requested/contacted. Will stay again.

Good Hotel...Away from centre...quiet.

My in-room wi-fi did not work at all and they blamed the distance of the room to the router. Turns out the router was not so far away. After speaking with the manager, she came up to the third floor with her laptop ( more to prove me wrong I think ) and she stood right in front of the router and had great difficulty logging in ( turns out her laptop was the same as mine ). I suggested they replace the router as I also sat in front of the router at the stairwell and logged into the first floor router without problem. Other than that...the restaurant had good food, good service and a Karaoke singer. For me...it was a little too far from the centre but was quiet and relatively easy to get transportation...but traffic can be crazy.

Hotel was very centrally located on the same street as the night market and not far from Pub Street. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. We were here during the off season so when occupancy was low breakfast was a la carte and when more guests buffet style. Both were good. Small but adequate pool on the roof. Was surprised to be able to see 11 or so crocodiles in their pool just down the road. Good value for money.

Positives: Location cannot be beat. Pub Street, Day markets, Night Market all around the corner. Good food all around area. Room was extremely spacious w/3Q beds, a safe, refrigerator, shampoo/towel/soap and a great soaking tub, balcony. Staff is respectful, courteous, and friendly. Delicious free breakfast and pickup from the airport.
Tips: Hire tuk tuk from hotel. Mr. Sol They’s services were inexpensive. We found him kind and trustworthy. We had him for 3 days. Can’t say enough good things about him and the experience.
Do your laundry across the street not w/hotel. They are 1/3 the price of hotel. She washes, dries, irons clothes.
Do try the omelet and fried rice for free breakfast—best fried rice ever.
Neg: My sheets were clean but had old blood stains on them. They were replaced immediately. Asked for wake-up call-none came because the desk help was asleep on the couch. Also, no boxed breakfast that was ordered the night before to take on our Sunrise over Angkor Wat excursion. This caused the need to go back and delayed our day of touring. Wifi did not work in room or lobby.Dinner show/buffet food good, show not so good. drinks extra. BE AWARE if you are going to new city/country --we paid more for our ticket to Bangkok and was picked up in a ratty old bus with no more than a cool fan and no bthrm. took us 5 hrs for a 2 1/2 hr ride b/c kept stop so you could pay to use bthrm /buy snacks. the drivers watched us all laughing. make sure you are prepared.

Good clean rooms, Great location, Value-for-money

The Cheathata Angkor hotel was a comfortable 5-day stay, an a nice convenient respite from the hectic pub street just a block away. Location-wise, it is probably idea. Located just a minute walk away from pub street and the night market, it is probably the most happening and centrally accessible place in town. No need to struggle to describe where you stay, just say \"pub street\". The room I was in had WiFi access, so I could use my laptop on the bed. The TV has so many cable channels, so there was plenty of entertainment when the rest of the town shuts down. Just outside, there is a few $1/kg laundry shops, and tuk tuks are always on standby outside the hotel to go anywhere. The only aspect that was not so great is the breakfast, which had a good variety if there were enough guests to have it buffet-style. however, if there are insufficient guests, the kitchen cooks your order (from a menu), so you might be limited to a serving of fried rice, noodle soup or western breakfast. Bread, jam, pastries, cornflakes,fruits, coffee and tea are unlimited though, so it's definitely enough (and very satisfying). All in all, an excellent stay, especially if you get a good discount.

Exceeded my expectation

The room is very good and the staff was very helpful. Booked a $33 trip to Dunle Sap and it was totally worth it. The location is right next to the night market street which is full of restaurants and bars and you will get very easy access to the center part of Siem Reap town.

Great central hotel!

Great clean hotel! Can't beat the price too! Customer service was great. Breakfast buffet was decent. Room was clean. What we loved best was the hotel was centrally located and a short walk from the Night Market. Would definitely recommend to friends!

A new hotel in a very good location, nightlife is just around the corner, hotel supplied a good tuk tuk driver for three days tours of the temples, laundry service good, breakfast good, (but one day the hot food was a little cold) staff are friendly and helpful

Best location in Siem Reap

What a great little hotel!!! Its not the fanciest of hotels, but, we spent 4 nights here and enjoyed very minute of it. The staff are very attentive and happy to assist you anyway they can. The rooms are ample size, we had one with 3 queen beds and there was still room for the kids to have a play. The pool is on the roof and is tiny, but, for us it was enough for the kids to cool off after sweating it out at the temples.

The best part of this hotel is its location. Only about a 10 minute tuk tuk ride to the Temples, and walk down the street and you have the Night Market, and Pub Street with far too many choices for food!!!! Oh, a laundry across the street, sooooo cheap.

We loved this hotel and love this part of the world. If we ever come back, this is where we would stay.

Central location and nice Buffet breakfast

The hotel is within walking distances to night markets and hotel is in a quiet street. Nice (and cheap) massage places nearby. Buffet breakfast is ok. Air con is cool. However, we were shocked on one night when 2 guys holding beers were able to open our doors while we were watching TV after midnight. We have even locked from inside the room but somehow the key card still allowed the strangers to open our door. We immediately called and complained to the reception, however the night shift staff did not speak good English and did not understand what we were questioning and our concern about our security in our room. We have to put all the chairs and suitcase to block the door that night. We complained again in the morning, their explanation was to blaming the other guest who has provided a wrong room number. I am confused and not happy with this, as there were 3 of us (all girls) checked in to our room and have provided our passport copy which should be marked associated to our room, so how could they still provide a key to 2 guys who could access our room without further questioning/ checking if they are asking key for the right room? This is something the hotel would definitely need to re-consider. We have requested to change to another room with proper lock, however, they could only fix our lock in our afternoon. The hotel would be satisfactory if the locks work perfectly fine.

The hotel is well-located close to everything but tucked away enough to be a little quieter. Staff were very obliging. However the restaurant seems to oly open if a guest turns up. Breakfasts are fine but plan on eating dinner elsewhere.

Great mid-budget option close to city center

The Cheathata worked out perfectly for us: close, friendly, good food, very comfortable room with everything in working order. A/C only comes on with your hotel keycard, but I respect that. After evaluating another option about $5 cheaper, we wandered back to this hotel and pulled it up on Hotels.com. Using their Wi-Fi, we booked our room in the lobby-- they couldn't match the rate directly. For what we paid, it was just about the right level of comfort and allowed us to venture out into the intense humidity for long treks around Angkor Wat-- knowing that when we got back, we would have a cool respite before venturing back out. I would definitely stay there again.

Very pleasant hotel

This hotel is well-maintained and comfortable. The dark woods are welcoming a d the room is nicely updated with a comfortable bed and updated bath. Buffet breakfast had a good variety of western and local foods. Although I wanted to stay a second night this hotel was full, but the manager secured a discounted rate at a sister hotel. Even though I had a corner room facing two streets, I heard no bothersome street noises. I recommend this hotel with no hesitation.

Good rooms and location. Service not so good.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel - very conveniently located for the Old Town. Our room was large, very clean and well-appointed. Our only issues were with the service which was a little patchy. Although staff were very smiley and eager to please, we had to ask for our room to be cleaned most days; one day there were no towels and it was quite a saga to get some, and on another there was no bath mat. Our room had no phone, which meant a trek to reception on each occasion. Breakfast was OK but not up to the standard of some of the other 2* and 3* places we stayed at on our trip. That said, we had a very pleasant few days. The issues were nothing that cannot be resolved if the hotel acts on feedback - for us they were minor irritants in the big scheme of things and we were grateful for the hotel's help in arranging our trip to Ankora Wat and transfer to the airport.

Great hotel, staff & location.

As a family of 4 we had a wonderful stay at Cheathata Angkor Hotel. The hotel was centrally located with great restaurants (Haven, Khmer Kitchen...), markets, supermarket, Pub Street all within walking distance. The staff were friendly and always ready to help (book tours, recommend places to eat etc). The hotel is relatively new with well equipped, comfortable rooms and a rooftop pool. Pool is small but refreshing. We plan to stay at this hotel on our next Siem Reap visit. Thanks so much Cheathata!

Very good convenient hotel for the price

The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful and helped us book for the tuk tuk and car to go sightseeing. As our flight is leaving in the evening, the manager lets us leave our luggage there and let us shower in another room when we came back to pick up our luggage to go to the airport. Thank u Mr Saray. This hotel is very convenient and close to all the markets. Very good value for money, highly recommended.

good hotel close to center

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and overall were very satisfied. The room was spacious and clean with wood floors and accents. Breakfast was buffet and very nice: Chinese, western with small changes every day. They weren't the greatest on service...we had to ask several different times to get toiletries refilled, fresh towels, etc. But the they always brought them when asked (bath gel and shampoo smelled really good). Everyone went out of their way to be friendly. My only real complaint was that I felt we got ripped off when I had them arrange transport to Phnom Penh: they said that they would get us Best VIP bus and we definitely paid BEST VI P price but the bus was an old battered local bus. And, even though they booked the tickets for us, they were totally confused about the departure time, making us rush out of our room in a panic only to wait in the lobby for 1/2 hour. But overall they were friendly, the hotel was clean and relaxing and our stay was wonderful.

Lovely hotel

Very helpful staff, booked bus to Bangkok. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good room size. Shame pool so small and wAter tasted a bit strange but great roof top view at sunset. (Try spotting the croc pond) location great. Some good cheap places to eat on backstreet walk to night market and pub street ( 3 min walk)

Outstanding value for the money. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Pool is a little small but ok for dipping after an exhausting day of temple touring. The breakfast buffet was very nice and varied every day. Arrangements for Tuk-tuk driver were made. Pick-up and delivery to airport flawless. Tour arrangement excellent. Mr. Sron was our driver, he was great. Reliable and careful in his driving. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Great location for walk to Pub Street, Nite Market, Old market.
