The staff was super nice, room was spacious. My only complaint is that my \"do not disturb\" was on, but someone still went inside my room (waste bin was cleaned), and also the room is not soundproofed, you will hear the karaoke from the bars near the river and the noise from the other guests outside the main door.

We had a wonderful stay at the Apsara over a total of 5 nights. The location is excellent to explore Siem Reap, hotel food is very good and the rooms are immaculate. But the real stars are the staff - every single person was friendly, professional and always willing to help, with a smile. Highly recommended. We will be back!

Excellent friendly & delightful staff at reception and restaurant. Relaxing vibe in common areas.

Good recommendations for value places to eat - both in town or just minutes from hotel.

Short walk to town, markets, dinner, drinks etc so no need for a tuk tuk. Hotel is on the other side of river from Pub Street so it doesn’t have the loud noise.

There is also a small pool to refresh in. We had an upstairs room above pool which had good privacy.

No elevator here so anyone with stair issues would need a ground floor room.

I would prefer brighter lighting in main bedroom area.

Damnak mart (like 7Eleven) a few minutes away for most things you may need.

We had a great stay for 6nights last month and would recommend Apsara Residence. The staff really helped to make this a welcoming and friendly experience.

This place was in a good location, about 10 minute walk from Pub Street, the night market, etc. I had a couple issues with broken things in the room (shower head not working, toilet leaking), but at least the hotel staff were understanding in attempting to fix things quickly. I was glad to be on the first floor, as there's no elevator here.

Money stolen from room, please avoid this hotel. We stayed at the Apsara Residence Hotel in Siem Reap for 5 nights in February 2025 and were extremely disappointed both to have money stolen from the safe in our room and also with the poor response we received from Hotel Management when we reported this loss. We reported the $100 dollar theft to the Hotel Management and were brushed off with a very inadequate response despite several attempts to pursue this matter. Management simply refused to acknowledge the money could have been taken and did not seem to properly investigate what had happened. Our remaining days at the Hotel were spoiled by this invasion of our privacy and our consequent lack of confidence in the security of our possessions. I have no doubt the management will reply to this review stating the theft being impossible, but nevertheless we wish to alert future guests to the need to be very wary of this venue so they can avoid the treatment we were unfortunate to have experienced. Hotel management promised to follow up this matter after we left but, unsurprisingly, we have heard nothing from them. The only matter that bothered the manager we spoke to was the prospect of a negative review. We strongly suggest people look elsewhere for accommodation.

This is our second stay here and we recommend it to anyone who is coming to Siem Reap. The staff is wonderful; so helpful with anything you need. They're happy to help with transportation, tour suggestions, & entertainment suggestions. The breakfast is extensive. We didn't use the spa, but I know someone who has and they enjoyed it a lot and the price is very reasonable.

Apsara Residence Hotel is very well located, just a short walk to main city attractions, including the Pub Street.

The staff are great and very obliging. The building is a little old but everything worked - our refrigerator had to be replaced but that was done quickly. The noise from the cafe next door was a problem for my wife but I didn’t hear it. So close to the river and stuff in the near area.

This is a stunning hotel. Staff were wonderful and the rooms just gorgeous. Comfortable. Beautiful oasis of a pool. My only one concern was hearing the music from the bar next door but I am sensitive to that. Everything else about this hotel is perfect.

Horrendous(My first negative review on hotels.com)

As a person who worked in tourism all around the world for years, I have never seen such a bad service in my life. The following were among many problems:
- The hotel provides no information about the payment details. They list themselves on this platform but do not accept the payments methods accepted by the platform itself
- They can solve this issue by directly taking payment from the portal (i have seen other hotels do it seamlessly and I have done it in the booking department i worked)
- on top of all, I was subject to disrespect with the following exact quote “it is your responsibility to know all this as you chose pay at the property. I am not liable for providing you which payment method i accept”
- The claim is not only factually incorrect but also shows staff disrespect, unwillingness and incompetence because i managed to directly charge on platform in my hotel when people had similar issues (even if we clearly listed payment methods unlike the staff in this hotel)
- Things go even further when they do not accept the cash I withdrew with the intention of letting this inconvenience go by saying “this money cannot be accepted as it was folded - go withdraw other one”, not even saying “please” or “if you do not mind”. This is something I have never seen in my life
- In the meanwhile, my room had mosquitos and crickets all the time
- the hotel never shuts down air conditioners. They are at full speed all they long, causing huge energy loss

This hotel was fantastic! We actually spent more nights here then planned! Spent a full week at this hotel. The service was outstanding and the rooms were beautiful and very very clean. We enjoyed the pool as well as the restaurant at the hotel. Food and all the drinks we had were great! The staff was very friendly and greeted us each time we walked into the hotel with a cold cloth! If we ever return to Cambodia we will definitely stay here again. It is also in an excellent location with lots of restaurants and shops in an easy walking distance.

A gem of a hotel in Siem Reap

The Apsara was a brilliant place to stay during our trip to Siem Reap, and we are glad to have found and booked it.

The hotel is well situated by the centre of the city but still sits a couple of minutes away from some of the hotspots. This gave us the excuse to walk along the river and take photos from the beautiful bridges. While the hotel is away from Pub Street, there is a nearby bar that can be loud in the evenings. Earplugs are recommended! For those visiting the Angkor area, tuk tuks and Grab vehicles are easy to find or ask the hotel team to book for you.

The rooms are spacious, bright and clean. The bed was very comfortable and there was a sofa in the room too. The balcony only had one chair, which was a bit of a shame, but we managed to get a second one from reception.

The staff at the Apsara are a real credit to the place. They were friendly, helpful and focused on providing the best service. They always had a smile on their face and it was a pleasure to have them around the place. Being met with a smile every time we came back in was a real treat.

Overall, a perfectly placed hotel which was the best base for a week in this hidden gem.

Only stayed for one night, just to connect with a flight. Hotel is in a good location, quiet area, but easy walking distance into the heart of Siem Reap. Nice room, an unexpected upgrade was appreciated. All staff met were charming. Only one minor negative, the complimentary airport transfer (hotel to airport in our case) was not a car, it was a ramouke/ large tuk-tuk, so instead of 10-15 mins to the airport, it took 35-40 mins. Would stay at the hotel again!

I have now stayed at Apsara Residence two separate times and loved my experience on both occasions. The rooms are well appointed- great showers, comfortable bed, and a great balcony. The staff is friendly and went out of their way to accommodate requests and offer helpful information. The pool was a great plus after a hot day out at the temples :). It's well located, away from the noise of downtown, but with easy walking < 10-minute access to the nightlife and great cafes. 100% will stay here again when I return to Siem Reap.

Hotel is clean and quiet but best part of our stay was the customer service. Every single staff we encountered treated us so well, from front seat to kitchen, to housing and security. Every time we returned from an outing they greeted us with icy old towels at the door. They are always asking us if we need anything. It is also very close to Pub Street. There is no elevator so anyone with mobility issues should definitely make sure to get a ground level room. Will definitely come back here again.

Stayed 1 night, fab service from lovely staff. Very helpful and respectful staff. No lift service so not suitable for mobility challenged people. Air conditioner not 100% working in room but bed very comfortable and large room. Restaurant open for breakfast so great and it was delicious. Can’t fault the staff, I would recommend stay because of them. Area ok, close to market and pub street. At moment everything slow to open due to COVID so once more places open could be a noisy area but great access to services

Fabulous place to stay near the Old Quarter

My sister and I stayed in Siem Reap for 3 nights. I researched many places and was so glad I selected The Apsara Residence Hotel. From the moment we walked into the hotel the staff was attentive and helpful. Lily greeted us at the door and welcomed us with a drink and a delicious custard treat. Lily was crucial to our rip. She booked transport for the sunrise at Angkor Wat, making sure that we had a boxed breakfast to take with us. She also help us book and excursion on Quads that took us out to the Cambodian countryside.(HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!) Our rooms were immaculate and large. Beds were comfortable and A/C was fabulous. We got massages at their spa and it was wonderful. The pool was a godsend after a hot day. The location of the hotel was perfect. Just a short walk over the bridge to the lively Old Quarter, but some lovely restaurants across street that were excellent. There was also some great shopping at a market across the street as well. Different and unique Cambodian crafts that were not the usual touristy things that you see in all of the Old Quarter markets in big cities.
I can not say enough good things about the staff at Apsara. From the breakfast staff,(a delicious breakfast too!) to Lily at the desk, to the spa staff, all were professional and outstanding. Thank you for making us feel so special!

Nice brick oven pizza restaurant next door and walking distance to market and a few good restaurants and shopping markets. Only wish there was an elevator since the walk up to the stairs to the 3rd floor in hot, humid weather was not fun.

We had the most wonderful week at Aspara Residence Hotel. It is a smaller hotel, lovely pool, ala carte breakfast daily in the restaurant, very clean and the staff are excellent- friendly, utterly helpful and capable.

We had one problem. The tuk-tuk sent to pick us up at the airport broke down, but didn't inform the hotel. We emailed the hotel and they responded right away to take a taxi, and they would pay for a taxi to the airport at the end of our stay. A very satisfactory resolution.

Loved the location. Close to pub street and right adjacent King’s Market and Hard Rock Cafe. The staff is exceedingly warm. They go out of the way to communicate with you and render a feeling of warmth. The breakfast was great and they were flexible in letting us have it in our room. Rooms are decent. I didn’t like the way they were designed though. The bathrooms could use some improvement. Also it would be great to have some softer pillows. But a clean, well located property. Worth the price and amazing staff.

The only highlight of this hotel was the check in process. Greeted with mango rice and a cold drink. After that it was such a disappointment. We booked the best room with a private pool. The room smelled of damp towels. The entire hotel needs serious attention. It is starting to be very run down. The housekeeping was terrible. We never got clean towels and when we asked for them all the towels were stained. We ran out of bathroom tissue twice in our four night stay. The exterior lights didn’t work over the pool. The staff are very young and seemed not interested in their jobs or customer service. The spa was so disappointing. The restaurant staff were the only exception. The facilities were dirty. The slippers that you put on before the spa were dirty and stained. The bedding was stained. Not a high end resort as advertised. Great location but would suggest staying somewhere else in that area. Siem Reap is an amazing city and despite the conditions of the hotel we really enjoyed our time there and would recommend that city to anyone just not the hotel.

Amazing stay (unrivaled customer attention)

It’s hard to find anything bad to say about the Apsara. It’s a modestly priced resort that packs big value. The rooms are excellently designed, clean and stylish, but it’s the staff that sets the hotel apart. On-site amenities are a bit more expensive (food, massage) but the quality is definitely above what you’ll find taking shots on the surrounding area for both. Would definitely book again and absolutely recommend.

The Apsara is a lovely, smaller boutique hotel that is perfect for a more quiet, relaxing holiday. We chose it for this exact reason. The staff were friendly, and accommodating and the hotel was clean, quiet and well serviced. The room was large and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the pool area. Bathroom was huge. There was a 2 day ceremony going on during the time that we stayed there right next door to the hotel, however staff did inform us of this and were apologetic for any inconvenience caused.

Lovely boutique hotel in Siem Reap

I stayed at Apsara Residence Hotel for 3 nights on my honeymoon in December 2017. We arrived after a pre-arranged tuk tuk pickup from the SR airport. The check-in process was smooth and pleasant, and we were happily surprised by the upgrade to their suite!

The room was clean and comfortable, with a king size bed, daybed sofa, flatscreen TV and a huge shower and tub bathroom. This suite is definitely for couples and not friends, as the bathing area is not completely walled off from the rest of the room, but obviously for honeymooners, it's fine. The service was excellent, the staff were always friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a short 5 min walk across the river from the SR Old Market and Pub Street area, so it's very central, yet far enough that noise wasn't an issue for us. There are plenty of other markets and shops and restaurants within walking distance.

We did not try the hotel's spa as there were plenty of cheaper massage spots around, but if you are looking for a full spa experience, the rates weren't actually too bad. We also didn't get a chance to try the pool as every lounge chair was taken on the afternoon we wanted to go, but we did do a cooking class with the hotel's chef along with a tour of the morning food market, though we didn't feel it was really worth the $30 USD per person fee. Great for pics and videos though.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Apsara very much and would definitely consider it again if we are back in SR in the future.

Excellent Customer Service

Excellent customer service from the very step of arranging airport pick up and check in. Bonus points on location too - just opposite the very lovely artisana market King's Angkor Rd which has plenty of restaurants, cafe and small shops. Would definitely come back and recommend to my friends!

Good location, great staff

The hotel is in a great location. Very convenient for tourists wanting to see the important things in the city. The rooms are comfortable and nicely sized. We had three people and had enough space. The shower was big. The staff was very accommodating and detailed. We also used the pool, which was very nice and private since it was just us three visitors there.

Great staff, good location. For those that might be sensitive to noise, this is not a hotel you should stay at. The staff are attentive and have great service. Kudos to them. Rooms and facilities are a bit dated.

Gorgeous Hotel!

We booked the private pool room and were amazed. The room was Gorgeous! Beautiful water feature above the pool and a rain shower head in the bathroom. The staff make you feel VIP. Very helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was the best food I've tasted in Cambodia. We had an overnight bus to catch on our checkout day. The staff were very accommodating. Letting us use the lobby and pool for the day. The location is so close to the night market and pub street. And when you need transport to get to an attraction (like Angkor Wat) the staff will organise everything for you. They even sent off a postcard for me

great location

The hotel is situated in a great location, within walking distance to the night market. The staff were very friendly and polite. We had our own private pool so did not try the main pool. The rooms were a great size and very clean. The food in the restaurant was good, it just took a while to wait for it even though we were the only 2 in the restaurant.
