place is cool , about 25min walk from city. they got free shuttle from 5pm to city.
made the booking thru app and some miscoummunication from app/hotel. double charge on credit card and hotel checkout payment. Hotel owner was honest to make the refund for the cancellation. :)

I loved my stay at this resort! The grounds were perfect and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was great to have the shuttle bus to and from town whenever we needed.

I would recommend this resort to everyone. Fantastic!!

The property doesn't have anything around it that you can comfortably walk too. The place has tuk tuk drivers that will take you wherever you want to go. The room was clean but kinda plain. The bee was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. The room service food was great, but not a lot to pick from.

Suokear Boutique Hotel & Spa was the place to be! The staff were so friendly and attentive,. Because it's a boutique, the space is intimate enough for the staff to remember you so we felt special the entire time there. They helped us plan our daytrips and organized to have a personal tuk tuk driver during our stay. The spa service was relaxing, we went back multiple times.

Majestic!

One of the most majestic places I’ve stayed at in Siem Reap! BEAUTIFUL outdoor tub that is hidden away with ferns and other greenery. We celebrated my friends birthday at this hotel and it was marvellous! Great staff and good wine choices :)

Great staff. Amazing swimming pool.

Peaceful place away from the town centre. Very quiet area. Great swimming pool.
The room was comfortable but the air conditioning was poor. Lots of mosquitoes. They should have sprays available to guests. Staff are so friendly! There are tuk-tuks all day long at the front. Food in the restaurant is not great but it is reasonable. Breakfast is very light. The best thing is the swimming pool. Wifi is weak.

Our favorite hotel of Southeast Asia!

We booked this resort last minute after having a visa issue, and we were SO pleased with it! They had a free pickup from the airport, the breakfast was AMAZING, the room was so clean and spacious and comfortable, the pool facilities were great, the staff was very accommodating, and we loved their helpfulness in getting around the city.

Personal Items STOLEN!

I hate to be writing this as the hotel had many plus sides. The staff were great, friendly and helpful and the hotel was great! Pool area was nice and breakfast was good. BUT, we are very dissapointed to had come back to our room to find that $100 USD and my personal debit card was stolen out of our room. BE AWARE, booking the “free” Tuk tuk through the hotel may be convenient but, then the hotel knows when and how long you are gone (they pick you up at a chosen time also) to go into your room and as we had happen, steal things.

It was my second staying in this hotel. First time was very satisfied- staying alone, so this time I stayed with friends. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The location isn't very good if you want to go to market area by walk. (Bus driver we hired took very long time to find.) However, I personally prefer this location because it's much calm and good for me to rest- I can always reach to other places by moto or tuktuk in 10-20 mins. I will definitely stay again next time in Siem Reap.

The hotel itself was lovely. The staff, on the other hand, were not. They were very unhelpful for the 10 days of our stay. They advertised free water, free bikes and continental breakfast - this was far from what they provided. They had hidden costs and it seemed that they tried to squeeze as much money out of us as possible. The WiFi connection was awful. We paid for a balcony room with a pool view but instead got a room at the back of the hotel with no view or balcony. I would not recommend this hotel.

The good: Service was great. Transport good. Location was 10 minutes out of town so was a quiet oasis. The bad: Mosquitos in rooms and swarming around open air restaurant. My BIG complaint is that all family members are now itchy from multiple bed bug bites (never experienced this staying at a hotel before) despite the sheets appearing immaculate.

Clean and tidy, but not in main town

This is a very cute little hotel, it’s a bit of a distance from the main hub of town but there is a shuttle service. The spa was great, not cheap in comparison to the main town but I had an excellent coconut scrub and a massage.

Nice grounds, friendly helpful staff. The rooms are big.

The whole stay started rough with a mix up in the airport pick up and it seemed like a hassle trying to get reimbursed. The room was not so clean, the air condition didn’t work properly it wouldn’t cool for hours, then started leaking water. Toilet seat was broken. Asked for an iron and that was an electrical hazard and falling apart. Lots of mosquitos, I got eaten alive each night and a lizard in my room. The bed was hard. The staff tried to make it better and put an every harder mattress pad on top, sprayed out the room etc but still didn’t help much.

Advantage of free tuk tuk to town centre worth its weight in gold.

Overall good hotel with reasonable breakfast and rooms, and good pool and pool for fun. Even has happy hour...

Poor room conditions, not suitable to stay in rooms. I left within an hour of checking in as rooms were not fit for purpose. Rooms had a maintenance smell which they were trying to cover up. Air conditioner had a smell too making the air very very difficult to breathe. Definitely not suitable for those who have asthma or allergies. The rooms look incomplete, concrete floor, no tiles. Rooms were smelly.

Free transfers to and from the airport were very useful and no problem. As the hotel was a little way from town we also got free transfers to town and back in a tuk tuk which was very useful. The hotel staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay there.

Hidden charm!

When we first arrived at the hotel we thought it was a little far out from the center, however the hotel has its own tuk-tuk drivers that can take you into the center for free at any time (a short and enjoyable 10m journey). The drivers not only take you into the center, for a small fee they will also be your transportation for the day around Angkor Wat and the Siem Reap area. One of the drivers - Mr. Bo (not sure of spelling) was extremely nice, he took us around the grand circuit and shared bits of information with us about the sites. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast offered many options to cater for different tastes. A mixture of hot and cold breakfast cooked to order - very delicious! After a long day exploring the temples it was nice to escape from the hustle and bustle of the center to this quiet retreat.

Great value family bungalow. Private pool v small, but perfect for a dip after being templed out. Nice shower with hot water, a few English channels available on the TV. Breakfast good and plenty of options to choose from. A little far out of town, but complementary on-demand tuk tuk works well to overcome this. Staff wonderful - service with a smile!

We had a family room with our own plunge pool. The room was fabulous, loved it. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive.
Breakfast was a little disappointing but overall our stay was wonderful. The complimentary tuk tuk made it easy to get into town . Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore Siem Reap.

A reasonably priced hotel, lovely staff, good pool and reasonable restaurant but awful plumbing issues and on and off as a consequence a terrible sewage smell. Good Spa. Lovely Cooking Class and free tuk tuk to town. Main problem was mosquitoes despite weekly 'fogging'. Sister hotel Suorkear Villa much nicer with more attractive pool and bar area also better rooms.

Good value, very friendly staff, outskirts of town

Staff amazing, pool great for adults as all a depth of 1.5m. Pool towels could do with replacing. Our room was noisy as it was above reception and one morning there was music from a festival playing at 6am which woke us all up but this is not the hotels fault. One morning there was no breakfast buffet as the staff said there were not enough visitors to have a buffet but we could order what we wanted. We did get everything we wanted but his took longer as we had to order and wait rather than just get what we wanted from the buffet table. Overall this was a super little hotel with staff wanting to please and help you.

Good stay, great tuk tuk service & 10 mins to town

Free airport tuktuk service started our stay to a great start, friendly hotel receptionist, room was spacious and clean offering good wifi. Happy hour by the pool was of good value and stiff drinks. Only glitch we had was the morning of our departure at 6am, we had pre-arranged breakfast order with the restaurant staff and the order was never successfully placed, so we were left without breakfast-not a great way to finish our stay and start a long flight back to the USA. Recommendations for hotel: have either hallway lights or light sensors upstairs when it gets dark so guests can see where they're going without having to take out their smart phones to use as a flashlight. The wooden corners on the beds in the rooms are also very sharp-both husband and I cut our legs walking past the bed.

Best value-for-money hotel stay we've ever had!

Had an amazing stay, with nice rooms and great all-around service... Enjoyed their happy hour deals at the pool-side bar, and the pretty decent restaurant. Channy seemed to run a solid F&B team, even accommodating a vegetarian with some off-menu dishes... The front desk staff was very helpful and generous from check-in to check-out; they arranged 3 days of temple touring with the same driver (Meng), who was just great -- and knowledgeable! He took us to many sights that were off the tourist trail, which was a truly wonderful experience... Will definitely stay here again if/when we get back to Siem Reap.

Very welcoming and great for a relaxed getaway.

We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely welcome spelled out for us using vine leaves on the bed. The pool was lovely, and a relaxing massage after a day of touring through Angkor Wat was just what we needed. When we had to run into town to purchase a small suitcase it was no trouble at all to arrange a Tuk-Tuk.

We will definitely return.

Quiet cosy hotel 5 mins' drive from town centre

Local cuisine in hotel is excellent, and the service and complimentary breakfast impressive. Comfortable for a week's stay. Pool was small but you can try out the in-house spa which was reasonably priced and comparable to spas in town. Cleanliness can be improved as the bedsheets and towels had dirty marks, and bedsheets and cutlery in room are not changed daily. Free airport transfers and rides to and fro town on tuk tuk made trips very convenient, although you may have to wait a short while for the tuk tuks to arrive. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent as mosquitoes are a known problem in the hotel.

Hotel is ok - little far from town . But they offer free tuk tuk service to town n back . We did have a problem one day though , the tuk tuk driver asked us to call the hotel from the restaurant . We had the restaurant call them - the hotel said someone will pick us up - we waited for more than 40 mts n also called again - they didn't seem to understand and we ended up hiring our own tuk tuk . Not a big deal - but when we came back n asked them they said it was late (9.00 pm) and hence couldn't send a tuk tuk . Wish they had told us that over the phone .

Rooms are good size - but dated. We had ripped sheets on one of our beds . The bathroom smells bad - I kept trying to figure out what the stink was and then realized it was the shower curtain - really old n smelly. We also saw a tiny lizard behind the bed - asked them to take care of it and the staff said we will do it tomorrow . Not sure if they actually did .

The hotel needs to be updated . Breakfast is ok .

The food is fantastic, the smoothies are great, the staff are some of the nicest people I met, and the rooms are terrific. Free Tuk Tuk rides to town which is 5 minutes. Angkor tours, and the pool area is awesome. The staff are very accommodating and will grab you whatever you want when you're laying at the pool, I'd recommend the Banh Hoy and Suorkear Delight smoothie. I'll stay at this place again when I head back to Siem Reap

We stood sun this hotel 4 nights and it was just perfect. They provide pick up and drop off at the airport and the hotel also has its own tic tic that takes you to the city center situated less than 10 minutes away.
Employees from the hotel are very nice, always there to please you.

Free shuttle is available from 6 am to 10pm. I tried to call hotel after 10 pm because i forgot the time, hotel still arrange a tuktuk for me free.
Also, they clean your room more than once daily, and literally provides you unlimited free bottled water.
Hotel is clean, wifi is ok, breakfast is good if it is made to order,but very often is in buffet style. Pool is a bit small, and some rooms on the ground may have water flowing in if it has heavy rain. Location is quite rural,but is ok having shuttle service

From a welcoming message spelled out in leaves and fruit on our arrival, we enjoyed lovely service, especially from the fabulous waiter at the restaurant who obviously took great pride in providing elegant service. The food was great too and we enjoyed the poolside kids menu! The room was spacious and comfortable with a separate space for the kids. The pool was great and they were very helpful organising our temple trips.

Great and attentive boutique hotel!

Great hospitality from all of the staff! The location is within minutes away from downtown, which is actually a good thing if you want some peace and quiet. Pool is very clean and warm! There's HH available too with reasonable prices (e.g. $1.50USD for a cold beer but you can buy it for 50cents downtown). The hotel provides free Remork tuk tuk service which was pretty convenient (don't forget to tip the driver a couple bucks). Breakfast was provided for us and was reasonable quality (loved the coffee). Our only struggle was the poor wifi connection in our room (ground floor right next to the pool) but I think it's because the walls are really thick (cement walls). No big worries since we only needed wifi to check directions and food reviews, so we sat in the lobby area or the pool area to get connected. The hotel provides some packages for guided/non guided tours to angkorwat with varied prices, which was really helpful when doing cost checking. Thanks for everything!

Stayed one night before flying out of Siem Reap. Very tired after 4 days at a village wedding so needed rest and relaxation. Pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a very spacious family room which was excellent value after booking at Wotif's discounted price for a smaller room! Restaurant and massage services great service and very reasonable. Transport to airport air conditioned vehicle. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Great relaxing atmosphere.

The location of the hotel is out of the center, about 8 m by tuk tuk which is complimentary from the hotel (drop off and pick up too), so for us much better than being in the chaotic and noisy center. The boutique hotel is in a quiet road, has a nice swimming pool, relaxing atmosphere, nice and spacious family room and comfortable new bathroom. Staff is very helpful and cordial. They allowed us for early check is at 11:00 am and late check out at 14:00. The tuk tuk driver of the hotel was always available when we needed him. The staff helped us to organize 2 days tour to the temples with tuk tuk driver and 1 day also with a guide. Only improvement could be the breakfast, quite limited choice, but for us was ok as we are used in any case to a small breakfast. All together a very pleasant stay. I would definitively recommend it.

A welcome oasis, I would revisit.

Part of a ten day trip to Cambodia was here in Siam Reap to visit the temples. The hotel was not crowded, a useful base for both night life and meals in the town or a relaxing day by the quiet pool. Temperature was over 40 degrees. Wedding party issue already mentioned by many reviews, but this is Cambodia, likewise building work and \"Cambodia\" time. The food especially breakfast lets the hotel down and they should get a new chef immediately, by tomorrow. The staff were helpful and pleasant and made a brilliant effort to celebrate a Birthday that was special and very appreciated. Plenty of opportunities to eat in town.

Perfect Hotel

Staff is really nice, room is impecable and breakfast is very good. The hotel is a little far from the city, so you can scape all the noise and fuzz, but they have a free of charge tuk tuk service during the whole day. Starts at 8 am until 10 pm. It was the perfect hotel for us... We would like to stay longer next time!

Family room is spacious and clean. The pillows were very soft, had to put a bath room beneath for a comfy sleep. The mattress is comfortable though. Bathroom had no door which is weird for us. A plus is the cook to order ala carte breakfast. It is delicious! Neighbourhood is quiet along the road side. Swimming pool a little on the small side but its clean.

Perfect self contained getaway

We live in southeast Asia, and this was one of the best places we've stayed so far.

We spent a long weekend in Siem Reap with three young children and were seeking a quiet hotel for the family. We've done adventurous travel before, this trip was to be an easy short visit to Angkor Wat.

Suorkear hotel was perfect for our family. The room was great, and the hotel restaurant fantastic. Ordinarily we try and eat out and about, but the food here was so good and affordable that there didn't seem much point looking elsewhere. The Khmer dishes were particularly good.

The hotel staff were great. Each one was genuinely friendly and helpful. For this trip, we relied on them to arrange transport to and from the market area, and around the Angkor Wat area. The drivers were fantastic. Friendly, punctual, attentive and flexible, and best of all very patient with three hot, tired and sometimes loud young children. Back at the hotel, the kids liked the company of the staff who enjoyed spending time with them exploring the gardens.

The tours arranged through the hotel were pretty much a chauffeured van for half days. We didn't want a guide, or to be stuck with a specific timetable so they were perfect for us. They were quite inexpensive as well.

The hotel itself is well designed, and has nice gardens in the hotel grounds and adjacent spa. The kids loved the pool (and still miss it) and enjoyed poking around the grounds to find fish and lizards,

Unforgettable stay in Siem Reap!

I cannot think of a better hotel experience for our stay in Siem Reap. We were blown away from the level of service and attention to detail by the hotel staff. Rooms/amenities are beautiful, free hotel transfer service/Tuk Tuk to town fabulous, and tour arrangement excellent. The greatest part for us was the staff--incredibly bright and kind young people, most of whom the hotel sponsors to attend university when they are not working. Know that by staying at Suokear you will not only have an incredible hotel experience but will contribute to a great cause. I could not recommend it more!

The size of the hotel allows them to give you personal attention. Great food, great room for myself and my family. Close to town on a quiet side street. Free tuk tuks. They arranged our tours of the ruins very reasonably. And lastly there's the young man at te front desk who always answers \"Of course.\" Honestly the best deal on a hotel by far we've had in six countries.

This vacation with my boyfriend was meant to be just for total relaxation and a little sightseeing , we didn't have any plans or whatsoever on what to do or places to go but Sourkear Boutique & Spa made it more meaningful and fun in so many ways, starting from the tuk tuk who picked us at the airport to the staff that welcomed us at Sourkear Boutique & Spa. Breakfast everyday was something to look forward to, opening at 6:30 in the morning we are greeted with smile by Channy, having an ala carte menu which makes it tough to choose on what to have but Channy would always recommend us something to start our day with alongside talking about Cambodian people and Siem Reap in particular, she is a gem indeed in this small place. Our room was the honeymoon suite which was a surprise for us because we opted for a King bed and they gave us more, jacuzzi and a big balcony, very spacious room with Khmer and modern touch together that me and my boyfriend loved. Pool was very enticing after a long day outside in a very hot weather. Noreen the front desk staff was always there to assist us all throughout our 6 days stay at Sourkear Boutique & Spa, personalized service from all the staff, great massage and last but not the least our driver Kee who assisted us in our sightseeing, shopping and all our run abouts in Siem Reap. Will definitely come back to SOURKEAR BOUTIQUE & SPA on my next visit with my kids to Cambodia Siem Reap.

Lovely hotel, simple pleasant decorations and very friendly and helpful staff. Only 15 rooms so complete privacy unlike the tour groups in bigger hotels. Welcome drink, breakfast each day and cocktails were wonderful. Great pool, we were in it morning before breakfast and afternoon for a swim on return from the temples. Free tuk tuk to airport and to town for dinner were very convenient. Perfect stay of 4 nights, highly recommended.

Great boutique hotel with personal service

We stayed in July 2015 as a family with a five year old and a teen year old. We were made to feel very welcome, many of the staff remembered the children's names and were always helpful and friendly. The hotel recommended a remork driver to visit the temples and we hired him to drive us for the days. The driver was called Somang, he was very courteous and respectful, but when we took the time to speak to him we were all really taken with him. He definitely enriched our experience. The people at the hotel and in Siem Reap in general were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel may have had funny water pressure on the odd occasion, but it had character and soul you may not find in a clinical sterile hotel. Book it!

Very noisey at night

Good room,although there was a very srong smell of urine in the toilet.The mattress was quite hard and the two pillows were old and well used.The aircon was good, there was bottled water and a fridge. The Wifi was good.

We had a big studio room over looking the pool, we had the noise from some sort of night club which was near by. One night there was a wedding near by with the noise of drums which seemed to be in the room. We were getting up at 4.30 am to go off to see the temples so this was not good for sleep. We did get the offer to move for the night but in speaking to others , they suffered the same experience.
Before booking I would ask to check if there were any weddings being booked at the near by venue.

The Tuk Tuk to and from town is good as in the airport pick up and drop off,there is nothing around this hotel and town is 15 minutes away.

The staff are good and the breakfast we had was average, the one evening meal was over cooked.
With hind sight I would not have stayed at this hotel but looked at one of the hotels in Siem Reap itself.

A PERFECT STAY !

The Hotel is a small place but very nice and calm, just outside the city center. They provide a Free Tuk-Tuk service which is really convenient. The pool and rooms are clean and nice. The staff was helpful and efficient, they can help you plan trip around Siem Reap if you want (they would book tickets, guide, car drivers etc.. if you need). The breakfast was included and very good... They even provide free airport shuttle. Really this is A PERFECT place!

If you are vegetarian, make sure the food comes without fish sauce, octopus or shrimp, as they perceive that as vegetarian (as in many places in Cambodia). Nice to get a personal tuk tuk free of charge, very professional driver and very helpful and friendly staff in general. A little noisy in the evenings which one would not expect from a location out of town. It is a decent place, but probably not worth the money in Cambodian standards.

Love this place and the people are so nice who run

Top people. The biggest and best welcome we have had anywhere on our travels. Can't recommend this place enough. Pisey and her team go out of their way to help and the warm friendly smiles and helpful attitude make up for any broken English they sometimes struggle with. It also made for a few laughs..the rice was delayed and they phoned our room to say 'that the rice was not born just yet!!'

A little away from the crowd, but they have free tuk tuk pick up and sending to the main area. Nice resort style accomodation, only downside is the sewage in the toilet smells, although we can see they have been putting in effort to cover the smell with aroma scent, but it's still too strong.

Great service, food, and accommodations!

Suorkear hotel was a great choice for my short trip in Siem Reap! The free tuk tuk rides to and from the airport made things very easy from the get-go, and the free rides to the old market / pub street area was convenient. The room itself was clean, spacious enough, and very modern. It had both a fan and A/C to keep things cool, as well as a nice little balcony. The pool was great too, for a refreshing dip after a whole day of temple tours, and the Khmer breakfast was delicious. Although this hotel isn't right at the center of pub street, that actually was fine b/c the hustle and bustle of the touristy area wasn't right in my face.
