I was disappointed to find out that I had booked an apartment in the “residence portion” instead of booking a room at the Hotel. It was a complete oversight on my part… so pay attention to what you’re booking!!! While the apartment was clean and had a great view, it was not what I was expecting when I booked. The staff tried to accommodate my offering a hotel room for one night, however it would have been quite inconvenient for me to move multiple times.

The staff at the front desk (Alicia and -Rhea and others) are beyond helpful. I made the mistake of not calling or emailing them in advance of the trip. For example I’m sure they would have suggested renting a car and/or let me knows that the only option is to take public transportation, eg crowded, hot ferries and buses or pay up $150 + for a taxi ONE WAY! This is a single most critical thing. I did not realize when booking this trip… Transportation is a mess.

The hotel had a DJ one night that we enjoyed very much along with the nice stuff at the pool bar.

Breakfast is served on the terrace with a nice view… and while there was quite a variety, it was my least favorite meal of the hotel.

The hotel itself is in a rather remote location (we didn’t want to be surrounded by tourists). So if you like that - I highly recommend Filario especially if you stay at the hotel. The beach access is very convenient and there is a beautiful pool although we didn’t use it. The views and quiet mornings of the lake are magical.

This was a dream property and exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the junior suite which was right on the water. The private deck and plunge pool was amazing!
The staff were very friendly and helpful with our questions and requests.
We really enjoyed breakfast out on their terrace every morning before heading out for the day. The pizza served lake side was excellent.
We would love to come back again and again.

I booked a stay at this Filario Hotel, but fell we fell sick before the hotel stay. We reached out 24 hours prior to the hotel stay to see if we can switch to date ore receive a partial refund, but the hotel staff took the entire cost of the booking as they said it was nonrefundable when we booked it through expedia. We even provided a doctor's note, but they were not accommodating. The hotel staff and management were very late to respond despite multiple emails, just giving us the run around. We certainly understand it is not refundable, but they could have allowed us to switch to an alternate date when the hotel had availability. They took our money and relisted the rooms, so they made money on us when we got sick. They are not friendly or accommodating. Ultimately, it was very disappointing as we were looking forward to the visiting lake como. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Our stay was lovely. If you are planning to be in the Lake Como area, but would like to avoid the hustle and bustle of Bellagio/Varenna/Como, I highly recommend Filario in Lezzeno. It’s a quieter town, with ferry and bus access to get wherever you need to be on the lake. It’s also not a bad idea to spend the day at Filario itself. Lovely private beach, excellent included breakfast, and beautiful rooms with an unbeatable view. Highly recommend!

Amazing staff that cannot do enough for you, its a little out of the way with 4 restaurants nearby but the walk to them is not easy as there are few pavements on a windy road.

But went to bellagio and varenna where its busier.

I would recommend the hotel for a quieter location away from the busy crowds

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Beautiful property and spacious room with our own patio overlooking the lake. Very quiet room. The staff are fantastic with help for everything!! The breakfast had lots of variety and everything was delicious. The restaurant is heavy with seafood options and everything we tried was great. The only thing that would make things better is if they had a hotel shuttle in to Bellagio. Even without that service, the bus is super easy and there is a stop right outside the hotel. 10/10!

My stay at the Continental Hotel was absolutely fantastic—truly a 5-star experience from beginning to end. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with elegant rooms, a great atmosphere, and an ideal location that made exploring the area so easy.

What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Every interaction felt genuine, and they consistently went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect.

Staff told us we could have a taxi back from Bellagio, just give them a call. Then when we rang they said it was too late, we then had to walk over 8km back to the hotel along dark winding roads. They also made us park the car in a car park which they failed to mention was chargeable. Upon checking out we were billed twice and for more nights than we had used the car park for.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The views were great! Just a tip...you need to reserve restaurant dinners several days in advance as they fill up quickly for local restaurants in the immediate area. The location of this hotel is not far from Bellagio but the ferry to Lezzeno ends earlier than other ferries so you need to plan accordingly or drive to Bellagio.

The hotel offers exceptional hospitality—staff were warm, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. The food overall was truly amazing, and the atmosphere was lovely.

However, I was surprised to find that even though breakfast was included in our reservation, we had to pay an extra €8 just to have eggs. On top of that, €35 for a single pizza is excessive by any standard. While the hotel is nice and comfortable, it simply doesn’t justify the high prices. You’re not getting the value you’d expect for what you’re paying.

Pure magic! We loved the property so much that it was hard to leave to explore Lake Como. Amazing beach bar and cabanas with excellent service. Complimentary kayak and paddleboatds. The front desk was beyond helpful and so patient going out of their way to make sure we had an unforgettable stay. We’ll be back.

Also should note buses in the area don’t run on time and a car rental would be challenging with the super narrow windy streets.

Stayed two nights here with my husband for our honeymoon and we will definitely be back. It was a beautiful property, amazing and thoughtful staff, and the ferry was a 10 min walk from the hotel. They left a bottle of prosecco in our room for our honeymoon and go above and beyond to help their guests. They booked us a boat tour the day we checked in as soon as I asked about it. They also booked a driver to take us back to the train station during checkout. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious. It is considered fine dining therefore the portions and cost are what you would normally find at any fine dining restaurant. Breakfast was included in our stay and they had great options. Overall we loved it. The view and balcony was the reason why I booked this room and it was beyond worth it. Definitely recommend!

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. We opted for the 1bedroom Apt lake view. It was absolutely stunning.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful from check in to checkout. Very accommodating - they provided a WhatsApp number for any thing needed, questions etc. with quick responses.
The beach front area had cabanas, a bar, loungers. They also provided paddle boards.
Would definitely rebook here again for future travels.

Filario Hotel & Residences, is truly a stunning place, it’s tranquil, calm and peaceful. The views are spectacular and the quality of the rooms, services is 10/10.

The ferry and bus C30 going into Como city, Bellagio and the surrounding areas is a great factor as Lezznno is a little remote. But the transport service was regular and easy to access.

Although the cocktails were really good, our only disappointment was the menu. It didn’t have much option, perhaps a continental menu with steak, chicken burger, beef burger, fries, pizzas will reach a wider audience. My husband was starving due to not liking the menu.

The kids menu wasn’t good either.
We would love to go back but would appreciate a revised menu before visiting again

Overall I felt recharged, relaxed and calm.

Thank you to all the staff/ team for making our wedding anniversary so special.

Wonderful setting perched above Lake Como with fabulous views and balconies. The restaurant was glass enclosed and also offered breathtaking views. Nice breakfast buffet which was included in our stay. The dinner menu was somewhat limited and price; advertised as “fine dining”. There were a few reasonable and good restaurants within walking distance, but it’s very tricky and potentially dangerous walking along the narrow road with no sidewalks. Staff was outstanding and helpful in every way. We used the ferry to get around the lake, with the dock about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Loved the hotel and location!

The hotel was nice, new and modern. Service was exceptional. The shower was not very good - water temperature was like warm and the shower head was horrible.

The restaurant and bar service were exceptional.

The biggest issue is getting to Bellagio which is only 8KM/5 miles away was very expensive. Impossible to catch the bus.

Had a wonderful 4 nights at Filario in Sept 2024. It is in a nice quiet part of the lake yet Bellagio and other cities are accessible by bus and ferry (the bus can be crowded and is often late but worked perfectly fine the one day we went there). There are tons of amenities at the hotel so other than one day exploring Bellagio and Varenna, we mostly stuck around the hotel, renting a boat, borrowing the hotel’s tandem kayak, and relaxing by the beach bar (which also serves great pizzas). We stayed in the lake view superior room which was very stylish and comfortable. The staff are fantastic. The concierge staff was able to help coordinate activities and private cars/taxis via phone and WhatsApp. Breakfast at the Filo restaurant each morning was also a highlight. It was included and delicious with eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, great pastries, and other options. We had dinner at Filo one night and in other Lezzeno restaurants the other nights (except Varenna one night). All were great.

First, the staff here is excellent. No request is too small and they are truly keen on making their guests feel welcomed. The property is immaculate, as are the rooms, and housekeeping does an excellent job as well. Breakfast staff were equally pleasant and efficient. Enjoyed the pool area and swimming in the Lake, especially after a day in the summer heat. Views are spectacular. A true welcome respite after visiting the busy towns along the Lake.

Only downside was it was a bit of a walk to the bus station (especially in the summer heat) and takes a while to get to Bellagio via bus. Fast ferry was not running as usual so it was a bit challenging to conveniently get around to the towns we wanted to visit. If you are looking for a sophisticated, beautiful, peaceful retreat you will adore this hotel.

View is fabulous. Hospitality is contrary.

For 700€ per night, service was mediocre other than politeness. Facilities are nice but the managing team doesn’t seem competent or care beyond the surface level. Communication is poor — You have to reiterate many times. During our stay at 8pm, housekeeping broke into our room without knocking. We were startled since we just came out of the shower positively undressed in the bedroom. I went outside and found the staff looking individual when she ran away with haste while saying sorry. We called reception and ask if the room is safe, the male receptionist politely but dismissively assured us and promised to check on the door. Later we called again and went to the desk where staff members confirmed the intrusion to be caused by a housekeeper and merely replied with“sorry for the inconvenience”. We stressed many times that we were startled and this has affected the stay & that such mistake isn’t tolerable. They asked to trust them moving forward to handle with discretion. No actual apologies were given from the housekeeper responsible, it was only relayed to us by the staff.

There was no effort or thought by the hotel to offer remediation or even just gesture of it would’ve been better. The entire experience is insincere and poorly handled. Communication is tedious since the desk is not exactly well versed in English beyond rulebook. It does seem to us quite condescending when they soft demanded us to make peace. Disappointing.

Absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful resort. Stunning views from our balcony, great loungers and cabanas on beach, nice pool, marina for boat rentals, great service and staff, and world class restaurant. We really believe our last eve at Filo was the best meal of our lives. And there are quite a few Michelin restaurants in that pool. Filo definitely deserves a Michelin star and James Beard nomination.

The staff was amazing from the entrance entrance. The parking area was amazing. They have bikes on loan that were amazing. The room was excellent. The food here is great, the dinner is a little bit bit on the high inside not the greatest for family. But the location of this hotel is amazing. I was able to park my car and drive almost everywhere. The lakefront are awesome. The lakefront snack bars awesome. The pool is great. I would 100% stay here again, I have nothing bad to say about this place. Just excellent .

Luxury hotel with great views and access to lake Como. Our room was really spacious with a great view. The shore area offered a great way to reach the water and breakfast was delicious. Service was also very good.

Thing that could be improved: beach area seemed to open late and at different times each day (11:15/12:30pm). Also limited food options during the stay - either very fine dining in restaurant at night or pizza (only) at the beach bar. A broader menu for dinner would’ve been welcomed.

We stayed in the Filario residences and enjoyed every moment from check in to check out. The rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed having a large communal space to gather with our friends who we were traveling with but would also recommend these rooms for anyone traveling with kids. The property is right on the lake and has beautiful views, excellent dining options, and brand new amenities. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was fabulous! The view from both our room, the lobby, and the dining area is pristine!

We enjoyed the bar by the shore for some pizza and cocktails one night and enjoyed the lovely breakfast with the Mountain View each morning!

The staff were very kind and welcoming.

The water taxis were able to drive up right to the hotel dock which provided more ease when we wanted to go across the lake!

Highly recommend this beautiful, peaceful hotel for family or couples when visiting Lake Como!

Absolutely stunning views from your private balcony! This was the reason we booked here and it did not disappoint.
A few restaurants within walking distance but on a very busy street not the best for walking with traffic. We did not care for the hotel restaurants menu so we did not eat there unfortunately.
Helvetia a few doors down for greasy pizza and aurora restaurant for lunch and dinner were great choices with beautiful views about 7 minute walk down the road.

Had a great experience at Filario. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and polite. Alessia at the front desk was very helpful as we were able to communicate via WhatsApp and she assisted with different requests. The GM was also very friendly and she made us feel welcome. The restaurant had a very good breakfast. The dinner however was exceptional - one of the best I’ve ever had in Europe. And finally a department that rarely gets acknowledged - Housekeeping. They were fantastic and accommodated our room perfectly to our liking especially with the minor details.

Nice hotel with amazing views. Very good restaurant and amazing service. Room had a private balcony with wonderful views, which was perfect! (Bathroom lighting is very dim, hard to see anything.) Note: Nothing much around, with only two other restaurants within walking distance, and since there are no sidewalks, you much walk along street, which feels very dangerous. But it is what everyone does, so one just does it. (Not hotel's fault) Local bus was very easy to use to get to other locations.

Exquisite hotel with incredible views!

Filario is a beautiful and exquisite hotel. The staff are welcoming and beyond helpful when needing recommendations and travel arrangements. The deluxe room is one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed at. The views of Lake Como from our balcony were breathtaking. The shower is a 5-star experience. The only negative was the menu options (lunch and dinner are the same) at Ristorante Filo. Very small portions and no true Italian dishes in my opinion. The staff, waiters and waitresses, were amazing, though! The limited menu may have been because we checked-in opening day. Not sure. Overall, lovely experience and we would go back.

Very nice hotel. The people were very friendly. The restaurant was excellent. The location of the hotel is outside of busy Como which was nice. The hotel is situated on the side of the mountain to give excellent views of the lake. The staff was friendly to our kids.

This is the nicest hotel I have ever been to. Absolutely gorgeous rooms and views of Lake Como. It is also in a perfect area. The town of Lezzeno is quiet and tourist-free, so relaxing here is super easy, and there is a ferry a 10 minute walk away that will take you to all the popular towns on the lake.

The pool here is stunning and the restaurant is one of the best in the area. The staff were also all genuinely so nice and helpful.

I can't wait to come back.

Beautiful lakeside hotel with infinity pool and 2 bedroom residences with beach access. The hotel has its own pier so you can get a water taxi to the door. The local ferry stop is a ten-minute walk away. The lakeside beach bar serves cocktails & amazing fresh stone-baked pizzas and salads. Downsides: The only breakfast option is a 25-euro PP breakfast. The beach bar doesn't open until 12pm but it would be great if it could open in the morning for coffee and lighter options. A couple of the older staff were not very hospitable but all the younger team were great

This is a beautiful modern hotel. Everything was very clean and new. The staff are very helpful and happy to make restaurant suggestions, give directions, and make reservations for you. The on-site restaurant is wonderful, delicious, and the staff are great. We will happily stay here again on our next trip to Lake Como.

We had an amazing stay at the Filario hotel. Hotel is beautiful , the views are stunning from the hotel balcony. Rooms are specious and modern. The infinity pool is nice and warm. The hotel’s restaurant is outstanding. Service is excellent all around. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel when visiting Lake Como
