Perfect location with great access to Lego house and Lego land by bus. The bus stop is a short walk from the hotel with approx 20 / 25 minute journey which made getting around easy. The beds were really comfy and there was a playground on-site, perfect for young families

Enjoyable stay lovely setting. Food menu is slightly tired, if you don’t like pizza then you’re a bit stuck. The buffet was plentiful but staid. Staff were generally helpful and the rooms were cleaned everyday. This hotel is around 10km from Legoland so don’t mix it up with the one in Billund which is walking distance to Legoland- taxis are very expensive.

Better than it seems

We booked this hotel not knowing how it would be. It is a road hotel where the rooms are entered directly from the street. But by all means doesn’t mean that is uncomfortable. One of the advantages we had was no noisy neighbors on the corridors.
The road is gata away so at the end is more comfortable than a traditional hotel.
You can bring your food and have a picnic outside as there are plenty of tables and green areas.
The restaurant was quite nice and the food was good.
The only but we had was that there are not many things nearby.
It is only 10 or 15 minutes away form lalaland and legoland at a leisured pace.

We stayed for as a base for a lego house and legoland visit. It was a lovely friendly hotel with all the amenities we required. Breakfast was well set out and provided a wide choice. We had a lovely dinner on our first night. The steak and burger were both tasty and very well presented. Staff attentive, always friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, could do with a bit of a tidy up with a lick of paint maybe but otherwise it was very nice and enjoyable stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in the area.

Location in very green quite area, staff is very helpful, breakfast is satisfactory,I been stayed twice in less than one month in this hotel, there is no double bed ( one double bed ). Reception is not 24 hrs.

a basic hotel with simple (but clean) rooms with a tv, small work table and a double bed. My room smelled a bit bad when I arrived and i needed to vent the room for some hours. The restaurant is ok but nothing to write home about. For me, it is a good \"business hotel\" if you just want to sleep.

Hotel svanen, Grindsted

The rooms are quite small and compact but have everything you need for a quick stopover. The room and hotel was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was ok but nothing to shout about whereas the evening meals are limited on choice but of good quality. Location wise there didnt appear to be much nearby but as I arrived late in the evening this wasn’t an issue for me. Enjoy!!

This hotel appears to be gouging their customers due to their proximity to Billund and LEGOLAND. The hotel is remotely located in a field and the rooms are very sparsely appointed. The rooms are very basic and should be rated as a low end budget 2 star hotel. The dining room is nicely decorated but once again it is very expensive for what you receive. The serving staff is very good.

All okay but nothing more.

Everything were okay when lookin on the price, you can always argue for the pillos and air flow, food were \"okay\" although on the expensive side, breakfest were nothing to write home about, pretty plain, missing pancakes etc for kids. WiFi and internet were bad, with bad connection to the outside world.

Legoland trip

We stayed in the standard room, was perfect for our short break. Our yiung child slept on the pull out sofa bed and loved being able to run out of the front door into a massive green open space.
Breakfast buffet was good and staff very freindly.
Hotelnis quite remoltley located so having a car us essential.
Legoland is less than 15mins drive away.
Dont forget to ask for a happycard on check in as thia gives you discount at local attractions and resturants.

Great for families with kids but not for adults

We stayed three nights in the hotel. The experience was not that good. First and foremost we booked for three adults, what we got was a double bed and a sofa bed, but the sofa bed was not suitable for an adult only for a kid. The size was too small for our teenager son. With regards to the breakfast, there was nothing spectacular just a commercial breakfast, the kind that one can buy from the grocery store and reheated in the oven to serve as breakfast and one of the days we got it cold inside though the outside was warm.And lastly, the choice of the room given to us was next to families with kids. In my opinion, they could do a better planning by putting adults guest in another part of the hotel a bit distance from the children section for consideration.

Good basic budget stay.

Peaceful yet convenient location for visiting family in Billund, for LEGOLAND and coast. Single level for all amenities very easy for older guests and families. Various play areas for children. Excellent buffet breakfast included. Good public areas. Rooms clean but tired and dated and bathroom especially in need of upgrade. Blinds or nets needed at windows to give privacy from passing guests. Problems with electrics sorted quickly late at night. All staff friendly and helpful.

I cracked my head several times on the light fittings which hand down at head height in the middle of the room - bizarre. There was a picture of a very young girl crying on the wall of the room - very odd and slightly inappropriate. Very limited menu, and expensive wines, but food quality is good. Service was typical for Denmark, i.e. not great.

The hotel was nice but for the price we paid, it is much less than what we would get in Canada. We stayed there with our 2 kids and the room itself was only 12' x 12'. The room & the bathroom were clean, just pretty tight quarters. The location was good and worked well for our visit to Legoland and Lalandia. The best part of the stay was the breakfast in the morning. It was very well done with a lot of selection of food. Given everything is expensive in Denmark, I shouldn't be surprised by the cost, but I surprised with how small the room was.

Extremely poor rooms. the stench coming from the bathroom was over the top. I was not able to sleep in the room because of it. I can't believe they let something like thus slip. Room condition and comfort was overall appalling due to this.

A Good Option for Legoland Visitors

There aren't a whole lot of quality hotels near Legoland. This one was certainly adequate with a decent room and a fine restaurant. The drive to Legoland was pretty straightforward.

I accidentally booked this hotel, thinking it was the one in Billund. Luckily, it was only 15 minutes away. The hotel was fine, as with most hotels in Denmark, it is very basic and minimalist. The room is as basic and simple as it gets. You are not going to feel like you are in the lap of luxury, but everything was clean and in good condition.

I liked the one-level motel style of the hotel. All doors face out into a courtyard or field which makes it feel open and private.

I stayed here instead of at the airport when I had a flight in Billund the next morning. It was definitely the more relaxing option, especially since my flight was in the mid morning and I didn’t have to rush. It’s about a 15 min drive to the airport.

Brilliant small hotel

Booked in for 3 nights on a legoland trip. It may only have 3 stars, but the service, food and friendliness warrants far more. Went with my two kids 12 and 10 everybody happy. A few trampolines and a small playground added to the enjoyment.

We stayed just 1 night and found the hotel clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. The food was excellant. There were several families here as it is a really good stop for Legoland, but this did not mean that it was noisy. The rooms are motel type, and ours was overlooking countryside. Lots of big trout in the lake, so ideal for fishermen.

I needed a hotel close to Billund Airport and the Svanen was only a 15 minute drive and close ( but not too close to the main road. It is really a motel but the restaurant was satisfactory and I had both dinner and breakfast there. Nothing really to complain about and the staff were efficient and helpful.

Stayed for 7 nights enjoyed the breakfasts, dinners and beer on tap in the lounge area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rented a car and enjoyed driving in the area. Room was warm, complete, comfortable and adequate. Bed was too soft and small for my liking. I would stay there again.

Trevligt hotell!

Det var ett trevligt ställe, personalen var trevliga och hjälpsamma! Rummen var fina och rena. Frukosten var mycket bra och lite varierad från morgon till morgon med ganska brett urval. Hotellet ligger lite lantligt, nära Grindsted. Perfekt för den som vill vara nära till allt i södra Danmark och ha hotellet som bas. Bara 12 km till Legoland i Billund.

Super hyggeligt “motel”

Perfekt lille getaway til en weekend for familen. Lille værelse men det har det man skal bruge. Sengene er af noget ældre dato, føles godt bløde og brugte, men for to overnatninger gør det ikke så meget. Morgenmad er rigtig fin ig godt varieret.
Alt i alt er godt sted til en fair pris.

God oplevelse for prisen

Kunne godt savne rengøring i restaurenten. Der var ikke blevet støvsuget eller vasket gulv i de 3 dage jeg var der. Vandhanen i håndvasken på værelset var lidt \"blinklys\" nu virker den - nu virker den ikke. Sensoren bør rettes.

Fint Hotel til god pris. Ok værelser. Reception/Restauran var lukket, men det var man informeret om inden. De kunne godt gøre lidt mere rent i hjørnerne, fandt gammelt slik og skidt i hjørnet af rummet ved sengen.
