My kids loved this hotel - everything is brilliant for children, lego in the rooms, Lego in the reception, Lego in the restaurant. Room itself was surprisingly big and comfy, very clean on arrival. All members of staff were friendly. Breakfast was great, lots of options and constantly restocked.

Hotel was fun for the kids, and comfortable for the adults too! Rooms are comfortable, with legos to play with, and things are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel features play areas, playgrounds, a small shop of snacks and souvenirs, as well as an onsite restaurant buffet. The buffet was good, with plenty of options for everyone. The bar also serves drinks with dinner or in the lounge, which is near the kids Lego play area so you can enjoy a drink while kids play for hours. The walk to legoland was very close, and took only a couple minutes. Even after the whole day my youngest could walk back in under 5 minutes, and he was so tired from the day!

We had a great trip, easy access from the airport and walking distance to Lego house, legoland, La landia. What more could you want. The decor certainly landed well with my 8 year old. As a female travelling alone with my son I felt safe being in the hotel and the surrounding areas at all times. Hotel restaurant was closed on our arrival day - but not a problem as we had the choice to eat at the hotel next door with many options for us both to enjoy. Overall a great stay.

The Legoland Castle Hotel was great. We thought the parking was good, the staff was friendly & nice, the property was clean, and it offered lots to do for the kids (not as much for the adults). It is co-located with the Legoland Hotel and playgrounds for the kids. It is walking distance to Legoland and the Lego House. There is a small, but decent grocery store a short drive away.

The only negatives: No gym/fitness facility in the Lego Castle Hotel. There are not a lot of restaurant options outside of the touristy ones. And, from sunrise until about 8pm, they play the same music over, and over, and over again on speakers throughout the hotel and property.

All in all, we would absolutely recommend staying at this hotel.

Room is spectacular. We reserved a wizard room, my kid was amazed by the wizard elements, for example owls, potions, and spiders, inside the room. My kid also loved the bunker bed area, like a small personal space for herself. Also the location is convenient for Legoland and Lego house.

As a solo traveller I was a little concerned but I didn't feel out of place at all. Just embrace your inner child and enjoy the sheer novelty of it. Plus the breakfast buffet is excellent. The lack of noise makes it feels like no-one was staying there - until I saw the hordes at breakfast. Highly recommend it as an experience.

Hotel room did not have a phone, so could not reach reception. Had to walk outside everytime to reach reception. The toilet was not cleaned (my sick child's faeces were still on the toilet seat) so I asked receptionist to clean and they told me housekeeping has gone. I asked for cleaning supplies so I can clean it myself and receptionist said they have none. It was heavy rain outside, so I asked to borrow an umbrella to try buy cleaning items myself but was told there are no umbrellas. I asked for the receptionist's name as a reference and was told I cannot have her name because she doesn't know who I am!
There are no amenities (only one wash for everything, no hair conditioner or body lotion or dental kits, nor toiletries). Even after asking every day, they only gave 2 towels between a family of 4.
Breakfast was like prison food.
But worst of all was the atrocious service of the receptionist who refused to give me her name.

The themed rooms in the hotel are fabulous. The staff are friendly and helpful. What we did not expect was the amount of self service required. Everything from checking in your own bags to putting your name on waitlist for meals. Also, the food was incredibly mediocre, and the same day in and day out. we chose the castle because we assumed it was the nicest property. The Lego hotel had direct access to the theme park. No big deal as we traveled during off peak season, however, I am willing to bet that if you travel during peak season you will absolutely want to have direct access to the park to avoid the lines to the park.

The hotel was nice, cute set-up and very close to LegoLand and Lego House. It however is not near very many food choices. Our first day we got in at dinner time and thought we would try the dinner buffet. It wasn't a huge selection and cost $75 per adult, $50 for anyone under 17. That's a pricey buffet, anywhere. But that was the only option in the hotel. The person at the front desk suggested LaLandia, which is another family theme area. We walked over, it was fine although still a bit pricey at $35 per person.

Our son loved the Legoland Hotel. I found the hotel and the breakfast rather basic, but the Lego decorations around it and the proximity to Legoland make it a good place to stay when visiting Legoland.

The room decoration is very “loud” like you’re sleeping in a cartoon, and I think it could have been decorated
more tastefully.
But in the mind of our 6-year old it was a great place to stay.
The staff was really friendly, just as everywhere in the park.

The kids loved the castle. There were nice competitions and a hidden treasure in the room. The breakfast was not phenomenal, but it was OK. The rest was great! We loved it! We also slept in the barrels of legoland village but definitely prefer the castle when you look at price/quality.

Stay AWAY - 3 star hotel service

Terrible service for the price you stay. Definitely not \"5 star\" hotel level. There is NO room service at this hotel, but they have room service at the legoland hotel next door. They won't let you order and take away food because you are a guest at the castle hotel. Absolute stupidity. How difficult is it to provide a plate of pasta and pizza and send it my way? Save your money and stay elsewhere or airbnb it. $2,000 for 3 nights with this kind of service is pure robbery. I walked back and forth between two of their hotels trying to find food to take away for my daughter in the RAIN only to have their staff tell me to walk to lalandia and get food there. WHO SEND BUSINESS TO ANOTHER BUSINESS?

The toilet lacked adequate toiletries. The dinner was not good. Not too many choices. Same menu repeated. Not worth for the amount of money paid for the dinner . Though had booked dinner for two. On the 11/4 Double allocation of the dinner table due to lack of proper communication between the staff taking payments for the dinner.

Very nice place for the kids, a real feeling to be in the lego Castle! Kids really loved it, and parents too! Lot of facilities for kids to play! But food was not good, expensive buffet with no big selection. At breakfast they had soft boiled eggs only, no possibilities to get hard boiled egg for the kids. Very limited service. But in all we will go again and it's still a great experience.

We had an excellent 3 day break at Legoland Castle Hotel - the hotel has two buildings, the Knights Castle and Wizards Castle. The reception, bar and dining room are in the Knights Castle, our room was in the Wizards Castle.
The rooms are larger than the Legoland Hotel, clean and new as the hotel only opened this summer. Modern clean bathroom with a great shower.
Breakfast was good but dinner not so good - we prefer the facilities in the Legoland Hotel and ate there on our second night.
Staff were very helpful with excellent English and of course, Legoland itself is amazing! We look forward to coming back but will probably stay in the Legoland Hotel next time.

We had an amazing stay at the Castle Hotel, a great experience from start to finish. With activities and competitions for the children and lots of space in the room for the whole family, the hotel is trying hard to impress and succeeds. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the breakfast arrangements worked well, and the location for Billund and beyond couldn't be faulted. It helps that the hotel is new, everything is spotless and the decor in the rooms is something else, I found it hard to leave a room where you can switch on magic lights and have your wizard potions light up!

The food was okay, the dinner buffet was practical and the staff very helpful, but the range of food bordered on the bland and not the high standard of food we had been eating in other parts of Denmark, but it was well-cooked and presented with a special buffet section aimed at appealing to children which did work well.

For a fully immersive Lego experience I would really recommend a stay in this hotel, it's magic for children and their parents, and we had a fabulous time thanks to the hard-working staff - definitely worth the cost of the stay and the memories we have as a family are priceless!

Don’t expect anything else than what you expensively paid for, which is a nicely decorated room and a great location. Hotel is new so very comfortable and everything works. Big parking space in front of the hotel. Other than that, buffet in the hotel is expensive for the food you get and you can’t charge it to the room, cleanliness is average, and there is no other service at all. A laundry room per example would have been very convenient.

Good location, right across from the park.
Parking is available and free of charge.
No problems at check-in/check-out, excellent.
Beautiful building, like from a fairy tale.
Rooms are nice but I did not realize it is just a wallpaper.
Bathrooms are nice but simple, not well stocked.
Not as many amenities as at original Legoland hotel.
Dinner buffet is very expensive, hostess is never there, but servers do good job.
Overall, good experience, I'd recommend this hotel.

Expedia booked me at the wrong Legoland, I most defiantly booked the one in California, b/c they quoted me in $ not EURO or Pounds, and the tax was California hotel and state tax before I submitted request. When I got confirmation, it was for the DENMARK Legoland Hotel. I called both Expedia and DENMARK Legoland before my stay, and they refused to rebook me into the correct hotel AND charged me the entire $380. So my kids trip was ruined, thanks to Expedia and Legoland. I will never give any money to either corporations again (I've been using Expedia for over 15 years).The whole time I was told by Expedia the first day I called in, I would be getting a refund, and then I get an e-mail saying it was refused, and after another hour on phone, they still said no, and that is after they told me I would get a refund the day I originally called.

Very Disappointing!!!

First time to Billund Lego Land, so thought we would stay in what seemed like the best option, which actually turned out to be very disappointing! Firstly the plus points... Great themed rooms which were bright and clean. Apart from that, we couldn't really think of any more plus points! We have stayed in dozens of hotels across the world, but have NEVER been charged for tap water by the hotel restaurant, which really was unbelievable!! The buffet was awful and certainly not cheap, but to add insult to injury and be charged for tap water was just totally unacceptable. We were also amazed (not in a good way!) that none of the rooms had phones which we could use to contact reception if say we needed more towels (Which we did EVERY night because housekeeping thought that it was acceptable for 2 towels to be shared between 4 people!), but instead, were given a MOBILE number to call should we need the front desk... Again, absolutely ridiculous!!! Lastly, we did think that given the size of the hotel and the number of children that would be there at any given time, the Lego which was left in reception for them to play with was really quite stingy and absolutely no thought had gone into that whatsoever. Overall, it was really disappointing, especially considering the amount we paid for the 4 nights stay and charging for tap water was enough to confidently say that we won't be staying at the Lego Castle hotel again!!

Et virkeligt dejligt Hotel, når man har børn med.

Et virkeligt dejligt Hotel til en overnatning, når man gerne vil besøge både Legoland og Lego House.
Der er virkeligt taget højde for børn og både morgenmad og aftensmads buffeten er god.
Lego rummet i Restauranten måtte gerne være lidt større, nogle børn \"fylder\" mere end andre og kommer til at virke meget dominerende i det lille rum.
men ellers et rigtigt fint sted.

Hutlöst dyrt och bara bra för barn

Visst, detta är ett familjehotell med fokus på barnen och nog var de nöjda. Men ser man bortom det måste man konstatera att standard, service och hotellet överlag inte håller klassen. Vi betalde över 6000kr per natt men detta är på sin höjd ett 3-stjärnigt komplex-hotell med mycket dekoration på väggarna. Buffén till middag är hemsk med torrt kött och smaklös fisk i kombination med klassiskt kaos. Rummen är okej, roliga för barn men omöjliga att vara i när barnen somnat trots att det är ett större familjerum. Hotellet håller generellt en rätt basic standard, känns lite som att komma tillbaka till 1990-talet. Störst minuspoäng är dock att de tar 200DKK per natt för en enkel babysäng, hutlöst med tanke på kostnad och profil på hotellet. Nej, åk bara hit om ni vill göra något riktigt extra för era barn och om ni är beredda att betala ordentligt för det.

Great stay for our 2-year-old and 7-year-old. They were both very entertained by the hotel and the park. The interior of the hotel was awesome. The clue-hunting game they give to arriving kids to unlock the safe in their rooms to find a lego toy was perfect. The breakfast buffet wasn't great by Scandinavian standards but was still good. Beds were great.

Vi reiste med 2 barnebarn på 4 og 6 år og oppholdet var helt fantastisk. Hele hotellet er som et eventyr. Det eneste lille minuset var at all mat var kald - også det som burde vært varmt! Men maten var veldig god.

Hotellet er ikke LEGOLAND værdig.

Efter et fantastisk ophold på Hotel LEGOLAND sidste år i december ville vi gentage succesen i år. Men allerede i foyeren på LEGOLAND Castle meldte skuffelsen sig. Hotellet er kønsløst. Alt plastret til med folie. Der er næsten intet bygget i rigtige LEGO klodser. Julepynten var fjernet og restaurant og bar lukket. Derudover kun få steder med LEGO til leg.
Værelset havde en god størrelse og kunne fint rumme 5 personer. Men igen plastret til med folie. Kunne slet ikke leve op til vores forventninger. Vi savnede hyggen, stemningen og magien fra LEGOLAND Hotellet. Dette hotel og værelse var en “kold” fornøjelse og til trods for fin service, så bestiller vi aldrig værelse på LEGOLAND Castle igen.

Séjour en famille incroyable dans le Castle Hotel Legoland Billund. Les chambres sont très bien décorées, nous étions dans le château des magiciens, la literie est super confortable et quel plaisir de tenter de résoudre les énigmes pour decouvrir le trésor caché dans le coffre de la chambre. Il y a des legos partout pour que les enfants et les grands s'amusent, un vrai plus. Petit bémol en revanche sur le buffet du petit-déjeuner qui était correct mais sans plus.
