The restaurant and the grounds were nice, but we were given rooms that looked different from the pictures shown at the time I booked them. The bathrooms had a lot of mildew in the showers, you could feel every spring in the beds, and the rooms were carpeted (photos showed uncarpeted floors).

Perfect for Billund airport and legoland
A very comfortable one night stay prior to an early flight back to the UK. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially in arranging an early breakfast on a Sunday morning. Excellent traditional Danish menu for lunch on arrival.

Rooms are very utilitarian but that is not to say that they are not comfortable. It is not a business hotel and as such the desk is on the small side. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. However our arrival was met with a rebuke that we were expected for dinner at 6pm , though we had expressed a possible 7pm arrival during previous correspondence. The dinner was very good, though service was not consistent nor timely. We enjoyed breakfast, with a wide range of items to eat and drink. The room was nicely updated and clean. We slept very well.

The hotel had great facilities for kids. Out grandson loved the play area. We stayed three nights and enjoyed both the hotel and walking the village.

Came in late just to spend the night before picking up a colleague at Billing the next morning. Very good value for money. Didn't have dinner but good breakfast. Only negative comment is they could just have turned on the heating just a little bit in the room before my arrival, it was a bit chilly for an hour or so.

Restaurangen såg lovande ut, dock lite dyr men vi åt inte där så vet inte kvalitén. Vita dukar på borden och vi tända blockljus. Mysigt! Helt okej frukost (morgenmad). Liten men det fanns det man behövde. Nära till Legoland. Hotellet ligger nära en genomfartsväg men tyckte inte att det störde.

Sjarmerende sted. Rommet var romslig og fint, og helt greit utstyrt, men syns godt det kunne vært et kjøleskap der, spesielt mtp at Filskov er et lite sted med få tilbud. Det var dessuten fryktelig varmt når vi var der, så AC hadde også gjort oppholdet mye mer trivelig. Heldigvis sto den en vifte på rommet. Hadde også vært kjekt med en isbitmaskin, da vannet i springen ikke ble ordentlig kaldt. Men alt i alt kan jeg varmt anbefale Filskov kro, spesielt for barnefamilier som skal på Legoland.

Kroen er et perfekt utgangspunkt for Legoland, Zoo i Giveskud og andre attraksjoner i nærheten. Rent og fint rom i en nyere fløy på hotellet. Plass nok til 5 personer. Vi savnet et kjøleskap. Frokosten var god og akkurat det vi trengte. Vi spiste middag to dager i restauranten og alle rettene var veldig gode. Personalet var hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Kommer gjerne tilbake hit.

It was perfect! The suite was big enough for us (family with one child). There was a little playground, the breakfast was delecious, and service very polite and friendly. The location is about 15 car minutes from Legoland away. We recommend it and would book again.

Filskov Kro är riktigt gammal och har drivits av samma familj i fyra generationer, tills nyligen, nu förvaltas det. Det ligger i Filskov 1 mil från Grindsted och vill man äta ute, är restaurangen på kroen enda alternativet. Vi hittade en fantastiskt vacker park \"Anlægget\" ett par 100 m utmed huvudgatan. Massor av lekredskap och sandlådan är fylld av sandleksaker som man kan låna. Se upp för dammen, som inte är inhägnad!
Kroen fin atmosfär, med vänlig och omtänksam personal. Plus för städerskan som föreslog att hon skulle låsa upp innerdörren mellan två av våra rum, så vi smidigt kunde gå emellan. Det var en stor fördel. Sköna sängar och tyst utanför. Fin och fräsch frukost med smaskigt utbud, inte minst chokladpålägg et, som är ett måste om man är dansk. 😊 Det fanns också en bivaxkaka att plocka honung från, mums! Också bra med fyllda kaffetermosar att ta med till bordet. Däremot serveras inte det klassiska äggröra-bacon-korv eller pannkakor, men vi var väldigt nöjda ändå.

Hyggelig kro nær Legoland.
Det er en hyggelig kro med nogle fine værelser. Virkelig fin restaurant. Der var også en legeplads+naturlegeplads uden for, som min dreng på 6 år havde stor glæde af. Betjeningen var venlig og morgenmaden udemærket. Jeg har dårlig ryg, men sov alligevel rigtig godt. Maden var dog ikke prisen værd. Desuden havde de glemt at klargøre vores værelse. Men vi følte os meget hjemme, det var godt til prisen og tæt på Legoland. Vil gerne vende tilbage.

pænt og rent sted, men en meget skuffende oplevelse. vi var 2 familier samlet og havde bestilt ophold og bord reservation i restauranten for at fejre fødselsdag. det viste sig at stedet ikke havde noteret vores bordreservation, så vi blev afvist da der ikke var plads. vi blev så henvist til hårde bænke og borde ved receptionen. hvor vi sad helt alene. servitricen var ikke særlig imødekommende og meddelte i en kølig tone at det kunne hun ikke gøre noget ved.

Jeg var lige skuffet over, at vi skulle lede efter vores nøgle ved ankomst. Når jeg rejser alene med barn, kan jeg godt lide at ankomme til en bemandet reception og det forventede jeg at finde. Jeg betalte trods alt 900 kroner for værelset og var der inden 20.00. Derudover synes jeg at de nye værelser er triste. Vi havde direkte udsigt til en parkeringsplads. Den gamle del af kroen er dog fin og alle ansatte var søde og smilende

Charming place close to Billund
Filskov Kro looks very old and traditional when entering through the front entrance but has been added to and renovated over the years, and there are therefore several ”styles” both older and newer. There is a bar where you can have drinks. There is a playroom for smaller children. It is located in a small village that seemed very sleepy. Not sure whether there are any other restaurants, but if you are staying at the inn, do eat at their restaurant! We had the Summer menu which was a very tasty 3-course meal. Friendly and efficient staff. Our room was very spacious and clean located in an annex. Free wifi and free parking. The breakfast was plentiful, boiled eggs, yoghurt, fresh bread, fruit, coffee and tea. Would stay again and recommend. It is only 15 minutes by car to Billund and Legoland/Lego House, very convenient.

Det var et helt ok boende. Inte jätterent, några myggor i värelset. Vi kom fram sent och var hungriga när vi kom fram och inte ett kex var att uppdriva. Även om dem har restaurant där. Inte jättebra på högsommar då rummen ej har aircondition och att det med många gäster var ganska utplockad till frukost. Men helt ok om man inte vill betala dubbelt så mycket närmre Legoland.

We spent two nights in a Family room. The room looked really nice and clean, and there was a big bathroom. Children liked the possibility of squeezing their own juice in breakfast. Unfortunately, the room was really warm at night-time, even though the outside temperature was quite cold during our stay. Moreover, on the second morning, breakfast was insufficient. Eggs were not cooked properly and all the cheese was gone by the time we got there. However, if you are looking for a peaceful and not too expensive stay not far from Legoland, this is a place to consider.
