Sadly, the main restaurant wasn't open when I was there, but the bar was nice.
A little annoying to have to pay extra for parking without warning, would have been nicer to be able to include that in the payment upon booking.

Disappointing stay and poor value for money. Although the hotel and pool were clean, the overall experience was severely lacking. Housekeeping ignored direct requests for fresh sheets and failed to restock basic amenities like toilet paper and lotion. The rooms themselves felt very basic for the price—one room had a non-functional TV, and none of the rooms included a fridge.
​Additionally, the beds were uncomfortable and breakfast was a letdown; the pancakes were cold and hard, and the service was unacceptably slow on the first morning due to understaffing. We also had a distressing encounter with an abusive guest at the pool who was rude to my children. While staff eventually intervened and we received a breakfast refund, the lack of quality and care does not justify a price of £113 per night. I will not be returning.

we were staying there for fishing competition run by angling trust, lovely hotel, staff on reception were lovely, hotel room was nice, bathroom dated, bit of better cleaning, getting rid of mould would of been nicer, then we’d just dropped of to sleep and it sounded like a stone was thrown at the window and woke us both up at 2 am

Appears to be understaffed with staff with little knowledge of the job. But with that said, they went above and beyond. Called down to find out what the room service kids menu was. Was placed on hold for a very long time to be told someone had to bring the menu. Why not put on the app! Then when ordering room service I was told I didn’t put a card for expenses, but wasn’t asked for one! Then when ordering a kids dessert, which according to the menu came with a sorbet, they didn’t know if it came with anything and then didn’t know if they had the flavour. Needless to say the fruit salad arrived with nothing after all that discussion despite saying it came with a sorbet! There was no glasses for juice at breakfast. But as I said, all the staff go above and beyond even though they lack knowledge and are clearly understaffed.

Nice stay after not great arrival

Only real disappointment from the stay was the arrival. When I turnt up the hotel reception couldn’t find my booking. Then said my booking has been cancelled. As you can imagine this was embarrassing & a bit stressful for my wife & excited kids. Not the ideal start to my trip away. Was eventually resolved.

The lotion was empty, and I requested a refill, and by the time I got back to my room after dinner, I noticed that had been done.
