The location of the hotel is one of its biggest pull factors, not least because of the ability to properly ski in/ski out.

The staff were all generally helpful, especially at the front desk, spa, and Dmitry the driver.

However, the hotel doesn’t feel as ‘modern’ as described and the rooms are fairly uninspiring. Water pressure in the showers isn’t great which means having all the alternative shower points (lateral, spray, etc) rather pointless.

It’s also frustrating that you have to pay an extra €25 to use the swimming pool and spa as a hotel guest because it’s already expensive.

I have mixed feelings about our stay at the White Angel Hotel. While the property has many positives, there were also some notable drawbacks.

Pros:

The hotel is beautifully located in the middle of the mountains, with stunning views from the rooms, dining area, and pool. The property is well maintained, breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It was also very convenient to rent ski equipment and purchase lift tickets directly at the hotel.

Cons:

The biggest issue was the check-in process and room arrangements. We booked three rooms with king-size beds for a total of eight travelers. According to Expedia, the rooms accommodate three people, and we planned for my husband and me to share the bed with our 8-year-old daughter, which we’ve done on many trips. However, at check-in we were told the rooms were considered “double” and that three people were not allowed to share a king-size bed. Our friends faced the same issue. We were forced to upgrade to “triple” rooms (king bed plus pullout sofa) at an extra cost of €200 per night per room—€2,000 total. Since it was Christmas Eve, we had no alternative.

Pool and spa access is not included and costs €20 per adult and €15 per child per visit, which adds up quickly for families. Lastly, the ski-in/ski-out access is narrow and located on a steep slope, which may be difficult for inexperienced skiers.

Great for ski-in-out. Decent size room, robes,etc. Room lacked adequate lighting and had NO mirrors except the dark bathroom. Breakfast was good but items in the buffet were not replenished. The head waiter was too prominent in constantly berating his staff. One night we told there were no tables when obviously there were plenty. Shower had good water pressure and ample room.

A few important tweaks needed.

I couldn't give it more than 3 stars because of two big issues: 1. the shuttle system is a mess: the schedule isn't followed; when a shuttle fills up it leaves even if that before the scheduled time; although there are two vehicles, only one shuttle is typically active, regardless of need. We ended up waiting for nearly an hour at one time to back up to the hotel because the shuttle left before the scheduled time, and in a loud \"conversation\" with another group trying to go down the mountain because seating was insufficient. And 2. The level of English is such that a lot of requests and other conversation are not understood. For a high-end property during the height of the ski season, when they are making the most money, these should not be issues. Otherwise, we were very happy with the place.

This property is over priced. We rented two rooms. In both rooms you could not control the temperature, asked three times and were total yes,yes. But was not fixed. We were in a newly built room and the bathroom fixtures were falling of.

I could not have given White Angel Hotel higher ratings. It is one of few places that I think is majorly underrated and we even looked up GroupABC to stay at their other properties in the future.

The restaurant, bar, spa, and overall building management were all high quality and affordable. They also provide a lot of ski services that are helpful (getting passes there, rentals, ski in ski out, lockers etc).

Definitely would come back again.

Great for skiing and romance

Right on the slopes so perfect for ski-in and ski-out. A fabulous pool, heated to 85degrees, with magnificent views over the mountains. A great spa/massage, A convenient free shuttle takes you back & forth in less than 10 minutes to the village of Cervinia. We chose to have dinner at the hotel every night because we were too tired to go into town and the food at the hotel was extremely varied and great. Service was superb and all of the staff could not have been more helpful and gracious. Sky TV in the rooms has many choices of free movies and news channels in English. If you're a serious skier, and want quiet evenings at the charming hotel bar, this is the perfect hotel. Only criticism is that the rooms could have used more hooks where to hang bulky jackets and ski attire.

Should reserve a parking spot in advance, also will need 4-wheel drive to get up in with any snow on ground.

Note there is a charge of 12 euros to use the spa facilities which is not mentioned in the booking.

Rooms are tiny and not private. Walks are thin and can hear neighboring rooms.

They have a shuttle service to town but ends at 7pm.
Would be better if later in evening like 10pm

Outside that ski in and out was great!
Great breakfast! Clean all around.

Modern hotel but comes with few cautions

Starting with the positives: it’s a modern hotel (the new wing just opened); the spa/pool area is great, as is the breakfast; if you are a competent skier, it’s a ski in/out property (the hotel is next to a pretty steep red run); there is a good ski room with boot heaters, lockers etc

Less positive:
- the hotel is a mile or to out of the town itself, on top of a very steep and narrow road. This really matters - when it snows, unless you have chains and/or winter tires you won’t be able to get to the hotel.
- there is a shuttle service to/from the town, which generally works well. However, when it snows or the road is icy, the service can be affected by other cars getting stuck and blocking the road.
- if you are driving, there is a 20 Euro daily parking charge in the underground car-park.
- there is also a fee of 12 Euros (per person) to use the pool
- the staff are generally friendly and helpful but the hotel feels understaffed and you are often left at figuring things out for yourself.

Overall, we had a good time but with a few kinks. A special mention to the shuttle driver (Dimitri), who was amazing at making things happen.

Truly ski-in, ski-out (perhaps the only one in Breuil) the hotel is located right on the 3bis slope. The downside is that it is far from the town (5 minutes drive), but the hotel runs a free shuttle service on demand to the town and back until 11pm, to make up for it.
Breakfast buffet is amazing! super rich with plenty of variety. (If they had a freshly squeezed orange juice, it would make the perfect breakfast.)
The spa is impressive with a huge very warm (untypical in Europe) indoor jacuzzi pool that also extends outside to the open air and a quaint Swedish sauna.
Rooms have a very modern design with espresso machines in the room. My rooms was missing a clothes closet though (perhaps sacrificed in favour of the modern design).

ski in ski out was a grate bonus although snow on 3bis slope was bit difficult at the and of the day.

A real gem

We returned to Cervinia to try the new White Angel which opened just 3 years ago. Rooms were of a decent size and service was excellent. Ski-in ski-out was most convenient though not for beginners. The restaurant is a must-try. Hope to come back again soon!

New gem in Cervinia

LOVED this hotel! New gem in Cervinia. Wonderful management who were very accommodating - First moving us to a room with a balcony and then helping us with a very late checkout. The breakfast was superb and we loved the terrace bar with its great views and apres buffet every afternoon. The ability to ski-in/ski-out is a real plus and not very common in Cervinia.

The shuttle into town ran frequently and generally on schedule, but you would be advised to arrive 5-10 min early to be sure you meet it.

Only downside was the lack of a corkscrew in the room.

Will definitely be booking again for next year.

Smart Modern Hotel

The hotel is modern and well designed. We found all of the staff to be helpful and the spa is very nice - we had a very good back massage from a clearly well experienced therapist. The complimentary teatime buffet in the bar is very good and the main barman is very knowledgable on his drinks. Breakfast is good. Be aware the ski in/ski out is a red run, but it is only a short run to the lifts and do-able as long as not a total novice.
Overall we found the hotel to be excellent, the only very minor things that would prevent an outstanding review is that they could do with more space in the rooms for ski wear - even a few hooks on the door would do. Our room was also very, very warm so we had to keep the doors open. Mini bus service to village was fine - but I'd imagine it might not be sufficient in busy season as it only holds about 8.

Pleasant modern hotel with generously sized rooms

Nice modern hotel located directly on the slopes at the edge of Cervinia.
The room was quite large & very clean, although some of the design choices, such as the glass toilet cubicle, were a little unusual and the hot water was little more than lukewarm at times.
The complimentary shuttle service into the village was both frequent and efficient.

Great ski in ski out hotel!

We loved the White Angel - modern/trendy, clean and great location.

Staff were generally helpful (e.g. suggested we park for free 50m away vs paying 20 Euro a day at the hotel!). If you like ski in ski out this is one of the best places to be - step out of the the ski room and the run is there!

Room was a bit small - but nice and modern. We did have a good view with a balcony (could do with a chair or two on the balcony).

Breakfast was great!

They provide a shuttle to the village and back. Tip: always be at the pickup/departure points a little ahead of time so you get your seat! :-) Shuttle takes 7-8 people each way so at \"peak\" times you may need to wait if you don't get there early.

We loved this luxurious hotel - location is perfect with limo shuttles to Montanapoleone (shopping area) and the Scala (walk to Duomo and vicinity), and service is great. It's also close to the Republica Metro and Centrale train station (very convenient if you are doing some side/day trips - we did 1 to Venice).

New and modern hotel...but not perfect (yet)

Really nice hotel - all brand new and modern. Very clean and well presented. The bar area is very nice and comfortable and we enjoyed spending evenings in there having a drink before we headed into Cervinia town for dinner. The staff are friendly - especially the guy who drive the shuttle bus - really helpful and accommodating. The room itself is comfortable but a bit too hot and unfortunately there was no way of turning the heating down, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise the bed in comfortable with good selection of pillows, great toiletries, lovely shower. It was a shame we had to pay extra for the pool and spa area which is why the hotel only gets a 4 our of 5 rating. We would stay again, though.

The hotel itself was very well appointed with stylish and comfortable rooms. It was a surprise to see we had a double bed and not twins as is usual in European ski resorts. There was a Sky TV in the room as well which meant we had more channels than just BBC World Service! The food was lovely and just the right size, although it would have been useful to receive the priced menu each evening as we were on bed & breakfast so had no idea how much it was. I would say though that the heating in the hotel was way too hot, especially in the bedrooms at night. We had to have the window open most nights to compensate. We did request that our heating was reduced but this didn't happen. I would stay at the hotel again.

Fawlty Towers!!

We booked a superior double room for my birthday and paid extra for this and on arrival we were given a standard room with no refund offered and discovered that the hotel doesn't actually have superior rooms so please be aware of this when booking, it is a scam for the hotel to make money. Another way this hotel makes money is by charging hotel guests 12.50 euros each to use the pool/spa. The hotel is brand new so clean, but it turned out to be more like Fawlty Towers when we discovered all the things that didn't work properly ie heating system, hot water, TVs, safes,coffee machines, lights and shower doors that don't close. All these defects were reported to grumpy reception staff and not resolved during our 3 night stay. The hotel is too far from the village to walk in the winter with snow on the ground, although there is a shuttle bus, but only holds 8 people so quite often you would have to wait for it to come back for us if it was full. A gin and tonic in the hotel bar is 13 euros, but only 5 euros in the village and the portion sizes at dinner are tiny and leave you still hungry.

A disappointment.

A brand new hotel which needs to get the basics right before charging guests to stay. On the plus side, the hotel is clean and well decorated, the breakfast was good and Dimitri the shuttle bus driver goes out of his way to help. The negatives were, firstly, the reception staff who found it hard to crack a smile and were in no rush to sort out the issues we had, which included, shower door not shutting, TV, coffee machine and safe not working, none of which were sorted even when reported. Towel rails had no heat, no hot water on a couple of occasions and heating system impossible to adjust. The charge of 12.50 euros for guests to enter the pool/spa is appalling and not explained in hotel description when booking. Food portions for dinner in the evening are very small and expensive and a gin and tonic costs 13 euros, when in town is only 5 euros. All in all not good value for money.

I stayed at this hotel for one week from Boxing Day for a standard room at a cost of £3k. It's normal to be expensive for New Year, but of course that does increase expectations somewhat. The advertised \"Ski in\" wasn't available due to poor snow conditions. The hotel has one restaurant offering a la carte dining, but no room service or other dining options offering a less \"fussy\" meal that you sometimes crave after a days skiing. The hotel has a spa inside, this is charged at an extra cost and can't be charged to the room. The hotel does have a nice bar.

Stayed at the White Angel Hotel for 6 nights before Christmas with my daughter. What a treat! Brand new, clean, relaxed, friendly hotel and staff. We had a great time and I'd love to stay at this hotel again.
A couple of times after a day on the slopes we used the Wellness centre which has a pool, steam room, sauna, and loungers to relax in that overlook the valley and slopes. Just incredible!
We only booked bed & breakfast in the hotel so we ate out for other meals. Breakfast was as good as it gets, a combination of cold continental buffet and waiter service gourmet hot food.
The whole experience was amazing and I'd like to do it all again.

El hotel tenía un olor espantoso a cañarías. La recepción del hotel estaba destartalada. El personal desaliñado y nada amable, fue descortés, no reconoció en ningún momento el problema y no se disculpó. Los propietarios de un hotel cercano reconocieron que a veces por el viento también ellos tenían problemas de mal olor. No quisieron rembolsarnos la noche de hotel

The hotel is great and well located. In addition, they offer free transfers to the city center and the ski slopes from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. We left the car in the hotel parking lot €20 per day and took the transfer. It was great since the city is crowded and parking is difficult. In addition, the Hotel is very beautiful and the breakfast is very varied. Definitely recommend.
