Do NOT stay here.

This hotel is located in a sketchy area, with an \"adult entertainment club\" across the street. I was very closely approached by one man for money and another man followed me into the hotel after obnoxiously whistling behind me. My towel was placed back on the rack after I had used it. This was really gross. Perhaps the most unprofessional thing was when the staff did NOT honour my request for a wake-up call TWICE. One day they phoned over 40 minutes later and on the day of my departure I could have missed my train since they NEVER CALLED. The woman with the blond hair never apologised about these errors and needs to work on her customer service skills. The young man with Syrian heritage was kind and professional. He is the only reason why I am not giving this hotel the lowest rating.

My train to berlin was cancelled and I needed a bed so I booked tryp at kassel.i had a nice greeting and a quick and easy check in.i had a beer and something to eat at the buffet which was very nice.my room was spacious,clean and comfy.the WiFi wasn't the best but overall stay was very pleasant. thank you

The room was small, dark, with a strong musty smell. It is really a single-bed room, where they convert the sitting thing into a second bed. The hotel belongs to a different time period, and unless you find it quaint, you will find it depressing.

I found a room available at the Wyndham when other lodgings fell through, and the night manager was kind enough to arrange for the second night as well. Overall, the service was genuinely friendly. The rooms were maybe more shabby than chic, and the room I was in faced the outdoor area of a bar, so somewhat noisy, but the art deco ground floor is a real jewel.

Our first visit to Kassel

Very friendly staff and a nice spacious hotel. Great facilities and very well priced. Neighbourhood appeared a little run down. However we had secure parking and were close to town for bars and restaurants. Perfect for our needs.

Hotel was 'ok'

Was very 'original' in it's fixtures / fittings / decor, but clean and well maintained. The corridors were a bit dingy and creepy... reminded me of American Horror Story Hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and it wasonly a short walk to the centre of Kassel. I was on business and needed the wifi to work, and that was a little unreliable and I was disappointed that the restaurant was not open for dinner, as after a long drive, I just wanted to drop my things and eat in the hotel, but had to go out searching for food.

So.. all round it was just 'ok'

Nice if you don´t stay there in the Summer

The hotel itself is old and charming, the staff was very friendly.
The rooms hallways give a bit of a `The Shining` vibe, which we actually found very amusing.
The breakfast buffet was plenty and the staff was always ready to get something if anything was missing.
Our biggest problem was that we went there in the summer time and there is no AC in the rooms. It was so hot and didn´t cool down until about 3am the next morning.

That apart would stay there again in business but would not be my first choice

Not a bad place to stay

We only did one night, it was an OK place to stay seems to be in a shady part of town. There was fighting going on at 0300 hrs which was disturbing. Overall it was just OK.

Good hotel, but wireless Internet connection is very very slow and you cannot stay more than 3 or 4 minutes connected. If you are going to do business in Kassel and looking for place to work, this is not hotel for you. -- Also, 12 euro for not too exciting breakfast is way way overpriced.

Front desk service is excellent. Breakfast was expensive but good. Rooms are comfortable (we were on the quiet side). The local area is a little sketchy but we felt safe - but definitely would be concerned about bringing children and teenagers to this area.

This hotel is clean and friendly, with reasonably well presented rooms. However, it is way out of the town, in quite a rundown area, close to the local strip club and Lolita's cafe. There is not much else near it. On the plus side, it has a reasonable bar, and a free pool table as well as a chess set.

Not for everyone, but we liked it

This hotel is a good example of the sort of older, a bit run-down hotels that are all over Europe. While not a dump, it lacks A/C, has a fuzzy small TV, parking is on the street, they charge for Internet and the restaurant was closed except for breakfast. Large room, tiny shower. The Domus backs onto a fascinating Bohemian alley, where the dance club was open until dawn. We didn't mind, but many might have not appreciated the techno beat. While the neighborhood was definitely not family orientated (strip club half a block away), it seemed safe. The hotel staff was very nice and the lobby charming, with a genuine lending library. The bottom line - this place would be very over-priced in America. Most of the hotels we stayed in during this trip were largely empty, but the operators solution seems to be to raise rates?

Wunderbares Hotel mit viel Charme, sehr freundlichem Personal und einem großzügigen Einzelzimmer. Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen! Dass Mobiliar und Bad in die Jahre gekommen sind, finde ich eher schön. In der coolen Lobby mit Billard-Bibliothek kann man abends gut sitzen und noch einen Drink genießen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und vielfältig zu jeder Uhrzeit – besser als in manch einem Mehr-Sterne-Hotel! Ich war beruflich in Kassel und habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt während der drei Tage.

Die Unterkunft war ganz ok. Ein normales Frühstück. Das Zimmer war uralt. Im Hof nebenan ist ein Biergarten von dem aus bis 2 Uhr nachts lautere Gespräche her kamen. Im Bahnhofsviertel treiben sich leider nachts komische Gestalten herum. Das war schon unangenehm. Trotzdem war der Aufenthalt ok. Das Personal war super freundlich.

Die Einrichtung in der Lobby und Restaurant ist zwar nett aber auf dem Zimmern sehr altmodisch.
Der Teppich war voller Flecken, das Bad so dunkel das man kaum gesehen hat.
Aber an sich ist es sauber, die Möbel sind auch nicht kaputt nur sehr alt..
oh das Fenster konnte man kaum schließen.
Statt Klimaanlage gab es einen Ventilator was ich gut fand, als Ersatz. Aber für Geräuschempfindliche Menschen wohl eher nichts,
Die Unterkunft ist gut erreichbar und man ist schnell im Zentrum, die Umgebung fand ich nicht so toll, aber im Hotel hat man sich sicher gefühlt.
Beim Frühstück gibt es an sich alles was man braucht. Also vollkommen ausreichend aber nichts besonderes.
Das Personal war an sich immer nett.
Also für einen kurzen günstigen Aufenthalt ist es okay, aber nochmal werde ich nicht einchecken.

Wir hatten zwei Zimmer im Dachgeschoss, wo es aufgrund der sommerlichen Hitze extrem warm war, so dass sich zumindest die erste Nacht anfühlte, als würde man in einer Sauna schlafen.
Die Badezimmer waren groß, geräumig und neu, die Zimmereinrichtung jedoch könnte eine Überholung gebrauchen.
Herausgerissen haben es letztlich das sehr freundliche Personal und das gute Frühstücksbuffet.

Wir hatten ein Business Zimmer gebucht, aber entgegen der Fotos gab es keinen Sessel oder Sofa, d. h. etwas ungemütlich. Sonst war das Zimmer groß und ruhig, das Bad war sehr dunkel. Alles wirkte etwas alt, und nur im Barbereich stylisch. Guter, freundlicher Service. Frühstück ok, aber nichts Besonderes.

Das Erdgeschoss und der Aufenthaltsraum mit Schach/Billardtisch im Stil einer Gentleman's Bar ist echt mega schön und die Sessel sehr bequem! Die Bedienung war auch auf Zack und sehr freundlich. Die Flure zu den Zimmern sind durch die Farbauswahl etwas dunkel aber haben Charm. Alles in allem für ein paar Nächte absolut ausreichend.

Personalet var meget flinke og værelset var fint rent. Men sengene var frygtelige. Selve madrasserne havde plastik på, så man skøjtede rundt og det larmede voldsomt når man bevægede sig den mindste smule. Samtidigt var de voldsomt hårde og dynerne var ikke behagelige. Sov ikke meget desværre.

Ein Haus mit Charakter - und man merkt, dass Modernisierungen gezielt und mit Überlegung vorgenommen werden. Hoffentlich bleibt das so,
es wäre schade, wenn dieses Haus zu einem
modernen Hoteltempel aufgemotzt würde.
Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und serviceorientiert, dabei aber entspannt und authentisch.

Das Hotel ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wir waren zum Weihnachtsshoping und Weihnachtsmarktbesuch drei Nächte dort zu Gast. Das Hotel liegt Stadtzentrum nah und entspricht einem englischen Stil, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war gut und besonders zu erwähnen ist die moderate Parkplatzgebühr.

A fine stay at the hotel. Situated near the Bahnhof. The Bergpark was the main reason for the trip to Kassel.

Zimmer ist viel zu schnell aufgeheizt, der Ventilator bring nichts. Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen um übermacht das Zimmer zu kühlen, da der Biergarten zu laut ist. Bett war viel zu hart und Decke viel zu warm. Teppich war mit Flecken überseht. Essen und Personal sind sehr gut.

Einzelzimmer glich einem Monteurzimmer, konnte dann aber in besseres Zimmer umziehen. Ausblick gräßlich, laute Umgebung. Vorteil Innenstadt 5 min zu Fuß erreichbar, Außenstellplatz 3 € pro Tag, sofern etwas frei. Frühstück war o.k. Personal freundlich.
