Booked 2 rooms with breakfast for 1 night. Paid up front as well as extra €8.00 for a parking space for my car. Then the next day my card was charged another € 47.00. Contacted hotels.com but no help. Please avoid as your money are not safe, hotels may charge your card for no reason.

I was really disappointed with my stay. Even though the hotel has a paid parking lot, my car got scratched there and the receptionist showed no interest in helping me resolve the situation. The room itself was spacious, but one of the lights didn’t work and the hairdryer in the bathroom was out of order. For just an overnight stay it was acceptable, but overall the experience was not worth it.

The hotel only had a vending machine. There were no restaurants or grocery stores close to be able to buy food at. I slept in a basic room on the second floor. There was no elevator. No staff is around to help. Basically there is a hotel checkin and out person during the day. Early in the morning and at night it is figure it out yourself as far as what to do or how to get around using the bus system to get to the train system. The hotel is not close to the old center of Munich

A very dated hotel in need of decoration and upgrade. The room, apparently was deluxe however there was nothing deluxe about it. Very old furniture, tired decoration - think 1980 and you have it.
Staff were friendly but arrived at 8.50pm, told the restaurant closed at 9 so couldn't order any food. Breakfast was very basic - not even any juices because the machine was broken. Couldnt someone have bought some juice and emptied into a jug for all?
Overall just very very poor.

The Staff was so helpful as there was not a/c in the room but they did provide a fan for our sleeping comfort. (We’re from Texas, so we bring the heat with us), the dinner was great at the on-site restaurant and we’ll definitely go back if in that part of Germany again.

Be careful, the pictures are lying. We chose this hotel because the room looked very nice on the pictures. The room we received was old, dirty, the sheets on the beds had stain like mold and we had to ask to change them. On our arrival the person at the reception didn’t say hello, she only said that the checkin was at 3PM and that we had to come back later.
We booked a room for 2adults and 2 children and they gave us only 2 towels and 2 duvets for 1 persons. When we asked for one more duvet, the person at the reception didn’t understand why we needed another one…
The WiFi was terrible and the bathroom looked like they haven’t renovate it since 1970!!!
The only good point is that the beds are very comfortable. There is also a good Asian buffet restaurant across the street.
We wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Useful pitstop, basic and somewhat tired

This was more for location than anything else and for us it was good in terms of that. Kassel itself is lovely with plenty on offer. The hotel felt as though it was embarking on, or in need of an update. It was clean, as you’d expect, but felt tired somewhat. On reflection we chose the Wyndham name, and while we didn’t have any issues we did see a number of better options in the area.

When I booked my stay in Feb. 2022 it was to use the pool as a mid-way break during my long trip to Germany. When I arrived, I was told that in March 2022 they closed the pool permanently. The point of my stay was now gone. The cost of the taxi from the Hauptbanhof to this hotel is 22.5 Euros, and it was a waste of my day, completely, before seeing Documenta downtown. Unfortunately, the bar and hotel restaurant are also closed. There is a vending machine if you want to buy wine or beer. The restaurant across the street was nice, with a huge outdoor patio, but painfully slow service. The staff at the hotel are nice however and the room really clean and fresh (white walls). There is no AC in the room but they provided a fan because it was a super hot day.

3 star older hotel- clean and conveniently located

I stayed at Wyndham Garden Kassel during a business trip. The hotel seems to be older, but you can tell the staff is doing their best to keep it clean. The furniture is old and the beds are not the most comfortable, but room service cared about making it nice each day. The check in process was simple and the employee was friendly and helpful.
The room doesn't have many outlets to charge your decvices, and actually none are located next to the bed. But for a short stay (3 nights for me) it was manageable.

I didn't book breakfast at the hotel, however there is a grocery store right across the street with a bakery in the front that also sells fresh coffee. For dinner we went to Cafe Del Sol, which is also across the street, (2min walk from the hotel). This restaurant has great food, friendly service and a nice interior decor. It kind of upgraded the stay at the hotel.
The location is easy to get to from the freeway and I will stay there again.

Decent large hotel in Kassel. Conveniently located just off the autobahn with a fuel station and restaurants across the road. The hotel reception is nice. Room was clean and comfortable but looks dated now. Free bottle of water in the room was a nice touch. We stayed in August when it was 34 degrees outside and the biggest let down was the air con which was like something from 1990 and is hidden on the wall behind curtain.
There is a large car park but annoyingly there is a charge per night, seems stupid when you can park on the surrounding roads for free. We parked a large vehicle and trailer on the road just outside the hotel for free so don't waste your money on parking.

Hotel was adequate. The curtains needed washing and the wallpaper was very dated but had just been painted over. The aircond units were really old but they sort of worked ok. We asked for adjoining rooms and the staff said they had accommodated the request, except our rooms were not adjoining to one another but someone elses - lol!! The reception staff seemed very unfamiliar with their own hotel layout. The wi-fi was unreliable and ran out at midnight so we had to keep asking for a new code. We had to pay extra for parking which was disappointing for a 4 star hotel. The best and most helpful members of staff were the restaurant staff, i.e. the waitress and the chef and the food was nice. Breakfast was expensive but there is a service station across the road with a cafe and sandwich bar, serving nice breakfasts at half the price. The hotel is set in a pretty and quiet residential location, not too far from the city centre. As long as your room overlooks the car park it was quite but there is a main highway on the other side, which could be noisy. The pool and sauna were clean and well maintained.

Just what i needed

Hotel was just what I needed where it was not too fancy, but had a conformable bed and close proximity to where I needed to be for my business trip. The room was a little warm where the air conditioner needed to work a little hard to keep the room a decent temperature, but it was still fine. I'll stay there again in the future.

First impressions were not bad. Fantastic pool & friendly receptionists. Then it went downhill:- our room overlooked 2 rubbish skips, the wi-fi and electricity were not working in the AM. Oh...and the hotel is next to a busy road & noisy even with the windows closed. It was a toss-up between unbearable heat or constant noise/ pollution from the road. The surrounding area is very low rent. Seriously, the pool is the best thing about this hotel. Oh and the night-time receptionist who lent me his personal phone when the internet went down as I had a crucial business matter to deal with. They also charge you 5 Euros for parking, even though you're in the middle of an out of town shopping area. There must be better options in Kassel...

Our room was outdated by 20 years.
The carpet was discussing.
We've stayed at many hotels that were 4 star rated and this one was by far the worst. On the contrary, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and there is a huge car park on premises, charged at 5 euros per day...which is a fair price to pay for the added convenience. Overall, below average for 4 star standard.

Easy to find. Noisy young turks racing around a bit nearby but that isn't the hotels fault. HUGE room service breakfast! We only ordered for one but they brought for two so it ended up doing for lunch and dinner as well, so we definitely didn't mind paying the extra :)

This hotel is very similar to hotels one would see in the United States (it is a Wyndham, after all). Not a typical German-esque style hotel.
The hotel itself is lovely, although not as modern as I thought it would be. It has a 1970s vibe (decor) to it, but isn't run down.

Rooms are tidy, clean, and average in size (comparable to an airport hotel).
We ate dinner at the Queen's Garden restaurant in the hotel, which was pretty good. Child menu prices were surprisingly low, and the adult menu wasn't too bad on the wallet.

The hotel is right off of the auto-route, making it convenient to get out of town when the time comes. Not much to see near by, but there is a small shopping plaza across the street that has a Netto market if you need anything, and there's also a restaurant, and McDonald's within walking distance, too.

My only complaint is that the staff didn't explain parking. I knew it was an additional fee (not much), but I didn't know we had to have our ticket validated until we tried getting back in after exploring for the day. Not a huge deal, just clarification at check in would've been nice.

Beim betreten der Lobby war schon ein unangenehmer Geruch. Das Zimmer besonders das Bad würden sich über eine Renovierung freuen. Die Hellhörigkeit des Zimmers war nicht so schlimm allerdings das morgens um 7:15 der Flurgesaugt wurde hat nicht zum guten Schlaf beigetragen

Det største problem var dog støjniveauet; der er meget lydt, og vi blev vækket gentagne gange i løbet af natten af folk, der kom larmende hjem fra byen og smækkede med dørene på gangen. Wir haben trotz Frühstück in der Buchung kein Frühstück erhalten. Frühstücksbüffet inbegriffen heißt für das Wyndham dass man optional gegen Gebühr Frühstück dazubuchen darf.
Das Kulanzangebot waren dann 5€ pro Person weniger, was wir dankend abgelehnt haben.

Auch die Zimmer haben die besten Zeiten hinter sich. Zudem gibt es nur einen schwachen Heizstrahler im Bad, was bei winterlichen Temperaturen nicht ausreicht.

Für das Zwischenpennen auf einer langen Fahrt vollkommen in Ordnung. Ansonsten eher so lala. Die Lowbudget Zimmer sind auch low Budget. Saubere Betten waren am wichtigsten, den Rest kann man verkraften, aber etwas renovieren sollte man mal machen

Leider riecht es besonders in der unteren Etage inkl. Lobby stark nach Fäkalien. Wahrscheinlich sollte man mal die Abflussrohre usw. prüfen. Das Badezimmer ist mit einer Badewanne mit Badewannenaufsatz aus Glas ausgestattet. Die Armaturen sind sehr schwergängig und mit Resten von Putzmitteln bzw. Kalk versehen. Zwischen den Betten gibt es eine Verteilerdose, davor eine defekte Schrankfront.

Efterhånden lidt slidt. Værelse ud til stærkt trafikeret vej gav uro. Vandet løb hele tiden i toilettet, og havde åbenbart gjort det længe. Men værelset fint rent. Morgenmaden var varieret og rigelig.

Har boet på det hotel mindst 15 gange i en periode på 30 år.
Fin betjening, dejlig morgenmad , god /nem parkering på hotellets område. €8 for parkering. Store værelser 2x Queen bed..

Fjernsynet virkede ikke, batterierne var flade. Læselamperne ved sengen han og dinglede. Kun sengelamperne var der lys i.
I badeværelset var der sorte plamage i hjørnet af glaspladen der adskiller håndvasken og badekarret. Ingen prop til håndvasken og badekarret
Alt det kunne vi selvfølgelig have klaget over, men det ville jo ikke hjælpe for 1 nats overnatning. Det er noget som rengøringen skal kontrollere om alt virker og indberette til de ansvarlige så det kan blive i orden inden den næste gæst kommer.
