Breakfast was amazing, staff was very attentive. Our room had a leaks toilet they were not able to fix and the ceiling light in the shower was half way out of it’s casing. What an amazing resort though! Beach front, private beach with lots of activities onsite. Monkeys are close by. Watch out for your belongings.

The room we had was excellent. The only thing is the presence of monkeys was not disclosed on the booking site and i am scared of animals. So all the time i was thinking of themonkeys would come out in our Casitas veranda or on our way in and out. Otherwise our stay was very good and food are tasty.

We had a wonderful stay at Kamana Hotel. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay.

The breakfast buffet was awesome—special mention to the spicy bangus, which was a standout! The food overall was consistently good. We also really enjoyed the pool; the water was clean and refreshing, making it a great place to relax.

The only downside was that the hotel allows only one key per room, which can be inconvenient when there are two adults staying. Other than that, everything was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend Kamana Hotel.

Good stay with a beautiful beach view

The resort is small and peaceful, perfect for a quiet getaway. I was given Room 219, located at the corner and beachfront — it had a really nice view. The staff were quick to fix things when I mentioned that the toilet seat cover was loose, which I truly appreciated.

However, the towels were a bit old and could use replacing. Parking is available next to another company’s property, which was convenient enough.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay — simple, comfortable, and made better by the beachfront view and helpful staff.

Beautiful and Serene resort

It is a beautiful and quiet resort , it is a bit far from the main road , but if you are looking for a serene place , this is it. All the staff are courteous and responsible. There are two things i had noticed , the air conditioning was a bit noisy , and the washroom was smelly, it smelled like sewer or musty . The housekeeping pour something on the drainages , but after few hours it smelled musty again. I also saw a small cockroach once. But I would stay here again if I come back for a holiday, i might be lucky to have a clean smelling washroom next time.

The entire staff was very friendly and eager to please. The casitas were nicely furnished, roomy, and comfortable. I found the bed to be a bit too firm for my taste. The grounds were clean.

The negatives are attributed to the very slow dining service. It took forever to get our order, and check. They were out of a number of items that were in the menu. The food was mediocre. They did have a decent breakfast buffet.

This place is close to zoobic Safari and Ocean Adventure. They have a little private beach. If they were fully booked they might feel crowded (i'm not sure). We went in August and it was like having our own beach and pool. Every relaxing.
The only thing i'd say to be aware of is the access road is a few km of driving through the mangrove forest to get to them.

Myself I did not enjoy my stay here. It is far out in the jungle with nothing nearby. I did not have transportation so it was not good for me. If staying here you need a car. Also it is about 30 min to anything nearby. Just a quiet secluded place to do nothing.

Perfect for those who want to unwind

A bit pricey and quite far from the centre of Subic Bay Freeport but well worth it. The resort is very private; the beach is for the exclusive use of the guests. The rooms are large, the bathroom as well. WiFi signal is very strong (in the common areas, the room and even the beach). The staff are very pleasant (from the guard who guided us when we parked our car, to reception, to everyone we met in the resort); they seem eager to serve and always do so with a smile. The beach is nice and clean, so is the infinity pool. We saw a couple of monkeys near the beach and on the road just outside the resort (guests are advised to always keep their doors/windows closed). Breakfast was fantastic. Best to have your meals here once you check in because the resort is a 30-minute drive from the centre of the freeport. They charge a corkage if you bring in drinks (soda, alcohol) but you can bring your own water (they provide complementary bottled water in the room). You can bring snacks (crisps) but not food. It is a very quiet place and perfect for those who want to relax (but probably not for those who want a vibrant nightlife -- there is none).

But the hotel area was not fine it was in the middle of the forest, no shuttle service u need to call taxi from the city if you want to go somewhere and its very expensive, its better to bring your own snack or drink coz its not advice to buy at the hotel,,, the food menu is very few if your gonna stay for long vacation your gonna run out of food to order ,,,

The pool and the sea was great. The room is also ok, except for the bed bugs under our pillows on the first night, though they address it by transferring us to another room. But other than that, the room was great. The staff are great, good food and a very reasonable food price. My kids love the pool. I love the food and the serenity of the place, it is secluded and very quiet.

Not the resort you're looking for

I'm pretty easy going and this is my first bad review of a place ever out of years of travel, so trust me when I say this place is not great.
Good: the views and location are wonderful, the water is absolutely amazing and you have direct access from.the resort.
Bad: service is not great, staff barely speaks English and are not friendly. Breakfast closes early and so does the kitchen, by 9pm you have to have ordered. Prices are high too. There is nothing around so if you miss the cut you're waiting until the following morning to eat... Facilities are scarce too, barely anything to do but use the pool, and it's too small to fit all the guests. No internet in the rooms and bad signal, so forget about getting work done or anything like that. No gym, table tennis or anything indoors, and the volleyball court is in shambles.

Nothing special in this hotel except clean and soacious rooms. Not worth your money. No wifi in rooms, restaurant service is very poor. Corkage fee for every cooked food you bring in, horrible location about 19km from city proper with no nearby restaurants. Stay away there are lots of other hotel in Subic.

I thought I made a bad choice in booking in Kamana because of the bad reviews that are out there but I guess the owners took the reviews seriously and acted on the things that needed to be improved. Overall experience was really great and we will definitely go back again

A Real Sanctuary

I've lowered my expectations at first, upon reading the bad reviews about this place. But actually, I felt like it was quite the opposite of what my family and I have experienced during our 3D2N Holy Week stay

Pros:
-It's the perfect R&R place for people who want to stay away from noise, beach parties and too many crowd (even in fully-booked days)
-Staff are helpful, attentive and polite
-They also granted my request to have a room at the 1st floor since I'm with my senior parents and an infant. Call them (not email) days ahead of your stay, and they will address your request
-Most reviews say that their restaurant menus are expensive. IT IS, but considering the quality and the amount of servings they give, it's worth it with the right food!
- Our family enjoyed our breakfast buffets
- Pool was well-maintained during our stay
- Beach is good for snorkeling (lots of fish and underwater boulders to see)

For further improvement:
- I find their mandatory extra person/bed rate policy a bit pricey for P1980/P2200 per night. They have this 4pax per room policy, but they don't have an accommodation for 5pax. Maybe they can work on having rooms with 3 beds or a family room for 5?
As for the extra bed, it is comfortable
(I paid extra P4600 for 2N)
- No wifi on rooms. Wifi at the lobby is slow. Globe data is weak
- Rocky beach
- No hair dryers (but no big deal)
- My dad thinks that the resort could be better with more landscape gardens and hammocks

Overall, I think we'll comeback :)

The hotel stay was just okay. There’s only one restaurant opens from 7-10 breakfast and up to 10pm for room service only. Not much of variety of food. Limited food selection. Weird part is, they charge a corkage fee when you bring food from outside, when there room service is only available up to 10pm. So if you’re a diabetic and people from other countries who have jetlag, you’ll starve to death until they open again at 7am. Otherwise, just pay for corkage fee then. That’s a stupid greedy policy.

Worst part is Wifi is only available in the hotel lobby. Not available in the room. For heavens sake, it’s the 20th century and WiFi should be a must!!! Don’t be so cheap.

The pool is small andcan get crowded. There’s no actual beach. The beach that they have is so rocky and dangerous to swim. If you’re looking for a beach to swim, this is not a place to go.

Positive side were staffs were pleasant, friendly and accommodating.

I booked this place online as it is advertised as Kamana Resort and Spa as my wife enjoys her time at Spas when we go on a break, imagine our surprise to find out that Kamana Resort and Spa has no SPA at all (False advertising at its best).
When we inquired about it we were told that they could do in room massages, my wife booked a massage on our first afternoon, the receptionist said that they couldn’t confirm it as they had to find someone to come and do the massage.
They eventually found someone to do the massage, they turned up at our room without a massage bed and expected to do the massage on the bed we were supposed to sleep in.
After rearranging some furniture and bringing in one of the day beds from out on our balcony my wife enjoyed a very good massage.
My wife attempted each day we stayed here to have another massage, but this was never to be repeated as they couldn’t locate anyone to do any massages (Extremely Disappointed)
This is a very disappointing Resort that has the potential to be a great Resort, it is way way overpriced, very isolated – 40 + minutes back into Subic Bay.
Save your money and stay somewhere else.
