The photos are not what you get these rooms are so banged up it was unbearable.. the garden we went to seek refuge but smelted like urine .. we left a night early . The breakfast if you enjoy eating garbage and don’t care about your intake sure this “stuff” I guess will do .. we went out to eat.. overall so many other choices use them .

The communal areas of the hotel are nice. When you enter, it feels welcoming. However, the room was quite run down, and desperately needs a make over. Furniture dated and dirty. Air con not working. Balcony dirty. Also, have an ice machine but no water machine. Seems silly. Breakfast was OK but not great. Not much choice and nothing special. Outside patio area was very relaxing and nice. As the room is the main feature of a hotel, I would not stay here again.

The hotel gave me a single room although I had booked a double room. They refused to change the room immediately because they just had superior double rooms available and no normal ones anymore. So they took the decision to downgrade me for 1 night and I am sure I would have stayed in this little room if I had not complained (the shower was the size of a cruise boat shower in a normal cabin). Not at all what is expected from a 4 stars hotel double room ! And not at all what they show on their pictures of what a double room looks like !

The only positive with the hotel is the location. 4 minute walk from the train station and 10 minute walk from the bus station. Lovely shops and restaurants nearby. Spar and Coop convenience shops close to hotel.

Great location near train station so easy to carry bags without the need for a bag porter. Good breakfast and rooms look as advertised. The only negative thing was it was first week of may and the air conditioning still wasnt turned on so the room was hot even at night. The only solution was to open a window in the washroom. Had a lovely stay at Hotel Amadeus from 26 May -29 May 2025. At check-in all info was provided about check-out, breakfast, wifi, etc. The room was beautiful and large and had 2 Juliet balconies overlooking the hotels lovely garden where you can also sit for breakfast. The room also had a balcony with table and chairs so you could sit outside. The bathroom only downside was the water from the sink goes everywhere.
Breakfast was plentiful. However, would recommend labels for each item and to say if it was suitable for vegetarians or not.

Avoid at all costs. A/C didn’t work. Bath tub is only about 16” across width wise so you have to be a contortionist to be able to shower. Bed is saggy from being too old. Bath room has black mold. Only saving grace is the location is close to the train station. Did i mention that the A/C didn’t work? Room got very hot in the afternoon and through the night so it was a very miserable experience.

Room was very clean but a little tired looking. Shower was brilliant but could do with a hook on the wall to attach the smaller head. Hairdryer was not very powerful at all.

Really close to train station and central in Venice. The AC was broken for the first day of our stay during a heatwave which was not ideal but they apologized and fixed it by the next day. The room could use some updates/ fixes but the main issue was the bathroom had considerable amounts of mold. While I understand that Venice is known for flooding, it was still a problematic amount of mold which hadn’t been cleaned out in clearly a while. Kitchen and front desk staff were mostly very nice.

Great stay, loved the fact of Amadeus being an old fashioned hotel, travel in time, would definitely stay there again. reception clerk was a bit moody but nice, helped us with check in swiftly! Breakfast waiter so knowledgeable about Italian poets. Overall we had a wonderful stay! Delicious breakfast!

Great trip to Venice. Hotel should be 3 star. 1st room dark and small but they changed us to an ok room where we could at least open a window. Nail clippings on floor, mould in bathroom. Everything needs a facelift. Breakfast good. Garden nice but again needs some work. Great area, near railway, busses and vaporetto. Walking distance to most places.

This is by no means a 4-star hotel. No room service, no heating in the room, Wifi did not work and the safe was 100yrs old and not working. Photos are extremely misleading.

The pictures of this property on Expedia were taken years ago. Our room had little ventilation and the bathroom tile needed to be scrubbed. The location of the hotel was good as it was close to transportation. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was small but enough to start your day with healthy options.

Overall a decent choice if you’re only staying a couple nights. The area was a convenient walk from the train station with a decent view (no canal view). The bed and pillows were sufficient. The shower was extremely narrow and didn’t have a proper door or curtain. The complimentary breakfast was very good with a great variety to choose from. The biggest complaint I had was that they advertised air conditioning BUT the staff told me it was only turned on seasonally (I believe starting May 22nd). It was extremely warm in the room so sleeping was not great. We tried opening the windows but it was quite noisy (even at midnight) and the mosquitos started flying in. Overall a decent choice

To celebrate our anniversary I wanted to show the beauty of Venice to my wife and booked 3 nights at Amadeus Hotel in Venice, 4 star hotel(I couldn’t afford 5 star hotel).
I was shocked at sub-par hotel. I called the front desk to request for a room change because the shower was cold. After several hours, at about 12 midnight, I was moved to a connecting building where I could take a shower. It was a cold rainy day in April and the front desk arrogantly scolded me that in April in Venice they turn off the heaters. In my whole life I have never seen a hotel even a dormitory turn off the heater when it’s cold.
I caught cold. (I never caught cold while camping in winter)
To make it short, I have little knowledge of Venetian way of treating visitors/customers but I would recommend a day trip to Venice but never to stay even one night.
