I had a wonderful time at Pelican Bay Resort in the Bahamas. The hotel was beautiful and had a very welcoming vibe. The rooms were comfortable, the service was excellent, and the location made it easy to enjoy everything nearby. It was a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for winding down, but still close enough to plenty of fun activities. Overall, a great choice for anyone visiting Freeport!

This is my second year in a row staying at Pelican Bay, and once again, it’s five stars across the board. The property is perfectly located—just steps away from great restaurants and shopping. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. Everything is spotless and peaceful, providing a relaxing atmosphere throughout the stay. The suites are impressively spacious—larger than many apartments around the world! I highly recommend Pelican Bay if you’re visiting Freeport, Grand Bahama. It’s truly a top-notch choice.

Awesome hotel right next to the village market, I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms they are clean, updated and very large over looking the lagoon. I highly recommend visiting the Greek café in the village next-door for breakfast, lunch and dinner or bones bar downstairs for a quick drink. The front desk staff were amazing and love the free apples such a nice touch.

Rooms are large but the services are terrible. Expect a loong wait in the restaurant - the most chaotic I have ever seen. The breakfast is of awful quality, and whatever there is cannot be found two following days, even little jellys or oatmeal. I will certainly look elsewhere next time

I have been to Exuma, Nassau and Abaco. They all have their strengths, this one was the best mix of amenities, bars and markets nearby. There's a back path directly to all of it from the hotel pool. The people are super friendly and the food was good. Room was more updated than the other 3 islands. Massive beach walking distance too. Safe. Cops walking around the market at night.

I like the fact that the hotel is a very short walk to the Lucaya Marketplace and the Flying Fish restaurant is right next to the resort. The staff was friendly and helped me procure a taxi . They have a free shuttle to a nearby resort that is on the beach.

The 3 pools onsite at the Pelican are small but nice. The restaurant at the pool was convenient and delicious. The staff is very nice and helpful. You have to take the free ferry (or shuttle) to Taino Beach and this is where you find the fun slide, and swim up cave bar that you see in some of the pictures. We really enjoyed this pool. Would def recommend, especially for a family of five bc the room was big enough and they brought a cot for small fee.

They offer a ‘local’s only’ welcoming, inviting and authentically Bahamian experience. 3 pools, 3 restaurants, access to Taino Beach Resort or simply a hammock with (or without) WIFI and a view. Affordable, family friendly (kitchens & playground) including a Pop Up Gallery featuring Bahamian masters from National Gallery in Nassau. It was dark when I got there and I was given vague directions to my room. The property was dark and scary. And signage was not illuminated. Honestly the Checkin person was not welcoming. Probably because she knew I was given the worse room. It was difficult to get the key card to unlock the door, the toilet ran constantly unless I opened the lid and unhooked the chain ( I didn’t bother asking them to fix it. It was easier for me to do it), the air conditioner was so loud I just tried using the ceiling fan but that squeaked and my room was located by the restaurant and dock so there was constant music and/or loud boat leaving every hour. I visited this hotel seven years ago and it was great that’s why I came back. But I won’t go back again.

Beautiful view of marina. Room nice, but bathroom floor needs a thorough cleaning and staff should be aware of cleanliness of decorative items in room. Lobby staff excellent and helpful. Perfect location. Overall, enjoyed Pelican Bay. I would stay there again.
