The room size was great but the WiFi kept coming and going which was irritating and the mattress had bed bugs coz i got bitten all night on my back and legs . For the price I paid I expected much more also u should keep complementary water bottle . 1 per day . Overall not a pleasant experience.

My husband and I arrived on the ferry alittle early before check in time and the front desk got us right into our room with no problem ! We couldnt have asked for a nicer welcome to the island. The staff was eager to help and the friendliness was refreshing!
During our stay of 5 nights anytime we had a request it was promptly taken care of.We had several meals at the wonderful restaurant located upstairs the drinks and food and service were top notch ! The entire staff make you feel welcomed and at home.
They arranged the best taxi driver for us who picked us up and returned us everyday after each adventure. The location was close to the market and beaches but at the same time away from the crowds. We will be booking with Bell Channel Inn everytime we visit the Grand Bahamas from now on .
We appreciated the professionalism and the friendliness and couldn't have been more comfortable
Highly recommend!!!!

I picked this Inn because one of the website has scuba diving, turns out the scuba owner retired last year. The service and staff are excellent although limited in what they can assist on activities. The place is out of the way, it's best to rent a car. It's about 20 minutes walk to the Port Lucayan Market. Vibration from music from a quarter mile away can be heard, so if you're a light sleeper, this could be an issue. Very convenient restaurant 'Upstairs on the Bay' has good food and excellent Conch Chowder.

My stay at Bell Channel was enjoyable, the hotel staff and restaurant
staff are friendly and helpful, especially Roberta in housekeeping. The property is well maintained and rooms clean. The only negative is there is no elevator and I was on the 3rd floor and have injured knees which were very swollen and sore by day 3 and for the rest of my 7day stay.

Bell Channel Inn is close enough to the Port Lucaya Marketplace to walk there and close enough to the Lucaya Shopping Center to get groceries at Solomon’s with a taxi ride back (public bus service was unreliable). There’s a small pool on the property and lots of beach chairs. The restaurant on the third floor is open from 7:30 in the morning until 11 at night. The food was good and reasonably priced. The front desk staff was always helpful.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, a small refrigerator and microwave (but no utensils), and a shower. The air conditioner and ceiling fan kept the room cool. There was a balcony with 2 chairs. The flat screen TV had a variety of American channels, some Bahamaian channels and music channels.

The wifi coverage was spotty. It was good in the lobby and the restaurant but less reliable in my room at the end of the building. I found that the signal improved if I placed my mobile device close to the TV signal box but it went in and out constantly. E-mail and web surfing were OK but forget about streaming videos.

I’m glad I stayed there.

The staff at the Inn are amazing. Early check in since our plane was 4 hours before check in time. Housekeeping always wanting to know what was needed in the room and brought every day. One of the staff offered to take us and bring us back to a local fish fry. On site tour guide that can take you anywhere on the island for a reasonable fee. On site restaurant superb. Prices reasonable. Room spacious. Bed comfy. Air conditioning and ceiling fan kept room very comfortable. Coffee maker with coffee provided daily. Fridge and microwave as well. All rooms have beautiful view of Bell Chanel. Pool and pool deck well maintained. Ice plentiful. Quiet safe area. Market place and public beach 15 to 20 minute easy flat walk. Diving was not available at resort as advertised and apparently will be in future. However staff hooked us up with Grand Bahama scuba who came and got us and dropped us back off with no problem and a very short ride.

I guess you get what you pay for? Honestly just needed a place to rest my head for a few days while hanging out with family who live on the island.

The room was a bit dirty behind the night stand. Balcony was dirty as well. Sheets and comforter on one of the beds had stains on it.

Restaurant upstairs closes at 10 due to a curfew set in place, verbiage on site and online still show it’s open until 11 which can be deceiving to people staying there and don’t know about the curfew. The restaurant food for breakfast and staff were great though!

Location is great, close to Port Lucaya.

This won’t be my first location of choice in the future sadly.

A complicated stay.

The stay was okay staff is friendly one problem if your towel is changed you’re not able to receive a new set right away because they are being washed. The room is non smoking but it sure smell smoky when we got in had to get spray from front desk. The housekeepers were very nice and helpful. A peasant wanted to be confrontational with me for looking at my friends coming to pick me up and housekeeper had to speak with her about her behavior to a guest.

We came back as we stayed here last year. Jeanie is very welcoming and helpful; ordering us taxis for shopping & the airport. They provide a coupon for a free drink in the bar for all 3 of us and the restaurant serves great food quickly. The room C-1 was lacking as there was a very small weak stream of water in the sink; however the shower was fine. And we only had 2 sets of towels when there are 3 of us. No beach but nice view of harbor & Lucayan Marketplace.

The location was good. It is walking distance to a beach and Port Lucaya Marketplace. A slightly longer walk to Taino beach if you want to go there (local fish fry and party every Wednesday at 6 pm). The facilities were decent and good value for the price. The shower head was a little short (I'm 6'1\"), angled away from where one would normally stand while showering, and couldn't be readjusted. The light switches were tricky to use. Sometimes they would get stuck, sometimes they were easy to use. The convenience of having a restaurant right upstairs was a nice option. Though the service was inconsistent, the food was pretty good as long as you're not expecting fine dining. The front desk staff at the inn were fabulous. Some of the other hotel staff were a little rigid and condescending but had good intentions. There were some great opportunities through the hotel for tours and events around the island. Would stay again if there weren't any affordable options closer to the beach.

We had a lovely stay for New Year. Our room was excellent, huge comfy bed, good TV, very clean and a nice balcony, overlooking the water. AC was great and we had coffee making facilities and a fridge in the room as well.

Staff were brilliant, really friendly and helpful. Lots of help planning trips and taxis etc.

The hotel is a 15min walk to Port Lucaya Marketplace and the beach.

excellent service from staff. Room very spacious but lack quality bedspread for comfort. The ac unit is blowing directly on you from the high wall ac unit so had to turn off ac. I double up on bed blanket but it was still too cold. room amenities, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner is essential to a hotel amenities list (they were available only for purchase at the front desk) not free. no dryer in the room that was disappointing after a good swim at the pool. On the other hand, coffee maker and a microwave are so needed for the room. the property is very clean. The shower head is sooo good. Pool area very relaxing. and excellent wifi reception.

Mrs Genie is hotel social advisor and will organize all interesting things for you to do and take care of you. Hotel’s moto is that they will treat you as a family and per my experience -that was not the marketing blurb, but very true! The staff is so so nice...Highly recommended...

Just a nice little place for me to enjoy some good old fashioned relaxation and I don't even need to go too far for food because the restaurant in the hotel has some great food. From my room I can enjoy the view of the canal.....The staff is very friendly and professional always willing to help out with what ever I needed especially Fiona at the front desk . We stayed at bell channel Inn for a week and had a diving package with them (caribbean divers ). Awesome dives! They took us every sites we wanted to see we couldn't be happier! ! Upstairs restaurant has the best food on the island we ate lunch and dinner there every day :) don't waste your money at the port lucaya restaurants if you are looking for real Bahamian cuisine, go to upstairs you will not be disappointed!

My stay at this hotel was a good one. The employees there were really nice and made you feel like family. Jeanie was a very nice activities person. Bell Channel is my ultimate go to. It's a little dated, but its clean. The island was hit hard by the hurricane last year. Bell Channel survived while other hotels are still trying to recover. The staff is like family! Auntie Genie is the ultimate hostess. The drinks hit hard and the barmaids are just peachy all the time. Love this place. This was my second stay.
