The first room you couldn't get the door to unlock. Spent 5 hours waiting for new room. The floors were so filthy that my feet were black from walking on them. Pans were dirty. This used to be a wonderful resort, not anymore.

The room was fine however it took two hours sitting in the waiting room after 4 PM for them to give anyone keys. The employees were nonchalant when customers were asking why it was taking so long. There was more than 6 to 8 people waiting to check in that took over two hours. We did not check in until after 6 PM. Unacceptable.!!!

I don’t want to slam the place too hard because it was clear from the reviews what this place was and wasn’t. And it didn’t disappoint. Check-in was late, so it cut into our beach time that day. It was very disorganized and a lack of housekeeping staff delayed the rooms turning over.

The staff was friendly but the hot tub was lukewarm the pool was freezing the restaurant had good food the beach staff was very friendly I just happened to go during a tropical storm. They do not have elevators so be prepared because they don't have bellhop's either. I was in room 3014. The refrigerator made a humming whistling noise every 10 to 15 minutes even throughout the night. Don't count on internet to work at all. And for some strange reason the desk actually needs you to pull up your reservation on your phone to verify your registered to stay there for some reason they can't pull up that information. Which took me several days to attempt to do that. So make sure you download your reservation onto your phone becaus they're going to request it from you and if you can log on to the internet you're likely going to be in a bad situation
The rooms are clean very outdated but clean.

Clean room, friendly staff, great beach. My only complaint is the very loud laundry rolling bins/trollies that the staff used very early in the morning and in the evenings. The wheels made a grating/ screeching noise that jolted me up every morning.

This is a timeshare not a hotel and as such most of the amenities were not available due to the time of year. they only serve breakfast in the restaurant then it is bar snacks. As not many visitors the bar food is not that good a quality The bar is only open until 21:00. This site is also no near to any other food outlets. Although the resort was only 10% full the apartments offered was on the third floor and there was no availability of a late checkout. The staff were very friendly but are unable to be that helpful. The apartments internally are in good condition but there door lock are tatty and do not work that well i had to relace my door key twice. Also although it quotes Wi-Fi in the room it was only really available in the lobby and poor connection in the bar area.

I spent a whole 4 nights WITH THE SAME BED SHEETS. They were supposed to be cleaned and changed daily, but that NEVER happened. The towels were left in a GARBAGE BAG at my door. Just outright terrible service. The WIFI was never stable, which made working close to impossible. Then one morning my girlfriend wanted some tea. Usually you would think there would be some lying around right? Guess again.....I had to walk downstairs at 6 IN THE MORNING to get it. The gentleman that helped me (who was really nice by the way) was dumfounded that it wasn't left there. Overall, TERRIBLE experience and I WON'T be coming back there.

Property was clean and staff was great. The resort needs new ownership with deep pockets to renovate and turn it into the place people want to stay and dine at. The beach is nice. The bar needs some updating and should allow you to charge your drinks to your room. Pool is cloudy. There needs to be a better breakfast service than the joke of a cafe they have.

We really enjoyed our stay with the three kids. Beaches were clean the staff were super friendly and helpful. We had to leave a day early because of the hurricane approaching. Before we left they said they would refund us the night which we weren’t even expecting. We will definitely be back to visit.

I stayed at Island Seas for an entire week and I can say that it will definitely not be my last. The staff was very friendly. It was absolutely a safe haven. All the great reviews about this place was accurate. The property is amazing. I would positively recommend Island Seas Resort for your stay in Grand Bahama!!!

We had a nice time but the staff at the front desk when we arrived did not share any important information with us-towels, restaurants, transportation, etc. - We had to figure everything out on our own and sometimes it was just too late. She seemed to lack any motivation. The beds were comfortable and the cleaning crew was great. Always attentive when we needed anything.
The price of food and drinks was ridiculous and the fact that there is no shuttle to the grocery store and that the convenience store was closed was also very disappointing. I feel like we as tourists are being taken advantage of. I had to pay $56 US plus tip to go to the grocery store with Lewis (taxi). He insisted on waiting and said that was the only way. I refused to use him again and made sure everyone we met was aware of the outrageous prices of transportation. It's quite a shame as the beach here is lovely. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be returning.

The property itself is great! Right on the a private beach, beautiful pool, very nice. The staff was not very attentive, or friendly. The bar drinks were weak, small and pricey. The rooms were great, very spacious, could use some updating, but overall were nice. Housekeeping checked in daily for trash and fresh towels. I would recommend this hotel, however, do not expect a resort. It's a beautiful location, but not much to do other than beach and pool. We rented a car and used it every day to do other activities or go to restaurants or shopping.

Beautiful property. It seems to be having some issues right now, but the staff was great and the property again, is beautiful! We were told the coffee shop was \"closed until further notice, and the planned/scheduled activities were nonexistent. We still enjoyed our stay. The condo was huge and a great value to be right on the beach.

This is more like a motel with resort in the name. At one point years ago I am sure this property was beautiful. Upon arrival our room was not ready until after 4. Normally I understand that because check in is at 4. The place was a ghost town. It was us and another guest that was there the entire 3 nights. Why not be prepared and have the room la ready. Our room, the AC didn’t work properly, the sliding door did not close properly and was never on the track, our view was of a pile of trash. We reserved a queen and it was a full. They said they had no 2 bed room available. Large property with no guests-I am sure they had something. The housekeeper came and took our towels said she would be back with clean ones, came back and had to go find someone to get us towels. Hottub water was so low, the water was past the jets. Beach chairs were broken, garbage on the beach-like lots of broken glass. The house keeper came into our room the next day, used the toilet (lid was up we had no guys on the trip) and didn’t do anything else. The front door didn’t fully lock. When I talked to staff their attitude was what do you want me to do. I went on vacation to relax not track down towers, maintenance and have to pay to go use a normal resort’s accommodations. This was an experience trip. I am disappointed and will not return. I have staff and service a few extra stars based on the bartender at the outside bar super sweet and friendly and gave us great recommendations.

The property has a beautiful view of the ocean. Very friendly staff. But disappointed about the checkin process. Checkin is at 4pm. And they definitely mean not before 4. Waited since 1pm and didn't get our room til 530pm. Nothing within walking distance of the property. Nice pool.

This place was awful! Had a rat in the room the second night. Moved to different room. Floor was filthy. Asked them to mop it. Ended up getting a mop and bucket from a maintenance person the next day and mopped it myself. Had to ask for clean towels. Never saw any cleaning people at all. Sad because i have stayed there many times but wont stay there again

Place was roomy, and pretty clean. But, there was not regular linen service(change of sheets or bed making/turning). Beach sand was fluffy and amazing. Staff were very friendly and attentive. They do need to update the shuffleboard. Pucks were broke and mismatched. And the poles were broke from wear and tear. But, we made it work.😃
Ping pong table and equipment were excellent (better than was shown on website).

We had a great time, and recommend for a relaxing vacation.👍

It was quite and clean. The property was well taken care of and most of the areas were safe (with the exception of the bridge near the hot tub that got super wet and slick and I fell..oww.) they let us use their kayaks and there was a lifeguard on duty throughout the day. The drinks were well made and the other people I met there were super kind. It's *kind of* remote and not a lot nearby so we needed to use a taxi to go pretty much anywhere (which is fine because our driver Val was amazing) I would definitely return.

place was empty. staff poor service, people disinterested. condos with very minimal supplies. if you are staying just 1 week, not worth it as you have to buy everything, ie dishwasher soap, salt pepper, etc. do housecleaning service. at best they give you 1 clean towel every other day. cockroachs in our room.
restaurant was good. beach is nice. pool is nice. lots of chairs. beach towels provided but we needed to ask when we noticed others had some.

My stay was horrible i decided to carry my family there for christmas. I went after checkin time and had to wait an jour for the room to be cleaned, only to get in the room and the tub was filled with hair the sink had dead bugs there were no bath towels available until the third day of our stay and also we had to lift our own luggages upstairs to check in and check out as no bellman was available assist. The lady At the front desk Mary attitude was not very pleasant with locals and tourist. I do not recommend at all

The property was convenient as it had its own private beach but that was it. Restaurant food was OK. We had to ask for pool towels six times before we ended up getting them the following day. When we checked in the Bedroom TV wasn’t working and we didn’t have a working room phone someone came up and fix the TV but didn’t give us a phone so we had to use our cell phones. The rooms need some serious updates. The bathroom was falling apart, floors were dirty silverware, and kitchen was rusty. Overall, the room needs to be completely renovated. As soon as we checked in, we asked about Wi-Fi and they told us the islands been hit or miss for the last two days. after speaking to several people that had been staying at the resort, and or were familiar with the resort, they let us know that the Wi-Fi hasn’t been working in the rooms in this resort in a very long time. It only works in the lobby. This was a huge inconvenience when so many people work remotely these days.

Everything in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and pull out couch was some kind of dirty. There were never any available clean beach towels. When asked if someone could come and clean, several times, the person at the front desk said they would send someone and nobody ever came the whole week we were there. A lady would come by to ask if there was trash and always had a bad attitude about having to take it out. The sliding door and AC in one of the rooms didn’t work.

The property is in dire need of updating. The furniture is old and dated. The lobby and units are old and dated, bathrooms and kitchen needs updating. The property is dead, not many activities, no shuttle service. Not enough employees, long waits for food service and drinks. Employees are friendly, they just need help. We were there for 4 nights and no one ever came to clean our room or change our sheets. They did bring towels, but didn’t clean or make beds. We met friends staying there and every morning they had to call just to get hot water. They had to wait to shower: this happened every morning. Property is not being kept properly.

I state at the resort before and it was absolutely fine, hence I wanted to stay again. However, there were a few concerns this time around.
Room #3036

1. Bedroom # 2 bathroom had NO hot water

2. The kitchen microwave has a crack in the door

3. The master bedroom TV comes on and goes off after 2 minutes

4. In-house phone NOT working 😕

5. Housekeeper came in Friday around 1:15 (Aug 26), asking us to sign a paper!! Because we didn't sign it, she said she would put (good) on the paper. The housekeeper never took out the garbage or asked if we needed any towels

6. The maintenance man came to have a look at the TV and said that he have to report it to his supervisor. Nothing ever happened.

My elderly relative, my seven year old daughter, and I had a wonderful experience at Island Seas resort. God’s creation and natural beauty were breathtaking. Staff provided courteous, helpful service. The two bedroom condo that we stayed in was very clean. We shall certainly return.

When my wife and I arrived at the property they said we didn't have a reservation. Upon clearing that up because we had all of our documentation, they blamed Expedia for giving them the wrong dates .... doubtful that was the case. They did give us a good room however and that was fine.
The room didn't have any kitchen ware, we had to request it and then it was very limited.
Had to request towels be changed out several times.... housekeeping was poor.
Requested beach towels and was told to get them at the front desk..front desk said there are only 4 and they're all checked out.
Hot tub worked maybe half the time we were there.
The restaurant was very mediocre and the wait time for your food is very long despite the fact that we were only one of four tables occupied in a Saturday night. Only two people working the whole restaurant I think.
Drinks at the bar were pretty poor.
I couldn't imagine getting any kind of meal plan.
Luckily we rented a car from Bullseye and they were great.
We mostly just used the resort as a place to sleep.
We spent most of our time at Lucaya, and it's only minutes away.
Great food and cheap delicious drinks there.

While the units are large, they are sparse and dated. However, for the price, you get what you pay for in the Bahamas. The resort is divided by a road into two sections: marina and beach. Reserve the beach side even though the beach is tiny.
