They are in process of renovating, so new paint and carpet, door had post-it notes to tell the room numbers. But our first room had a window that was cracked open and didn’t shut (it was -13 outside), 2nd room was ok… but you couldn’t turn on the sink unless you used 2 hands. Fridge was so loud we ended up unplugging it so we could sleep. Beds were new but the linens felt either cheap or dirty… No pool or hot tub like the pictures on the website showed. Yogurt was 2 months expired for the free breakfast, pancake maker was set out with syrups but no batter. Only cereal and fruit and donuts. No hot water for my instant coffee I brought-I had to use the microwave. Great price, but you get what you paid for. I would pay a bit more to get a better room next time.

Hotel supposedly Just finished renovations. Website didn't disclose Renovations swimming pool and hot tub area were completely closed down and under construction. Bathroom had broken exhaust fan that was rattling and very noisy , broken outdated toilet that wouldn't flush properly and kept running , shower handle loose and falling off. missing tile next to bathtub near floor. Shower curtain was old and smelled like piss when water hit it in the shower needs to be replaced.

Don't waste your time here!

The keys did NOT stay programmed to the room. Had to go to the front desk mulitple times to them reprogrammed. We didn't get the room that we we booked.There was no remote for the roku or the tv. The cable only had one channel on it. The sink in the bathroom leadked from the drain when it was used. There was only ONE working outlet to use betwen the lamp and charging our phones. The peep hole had no lens so people could look in our room from the hallway. The pool & hot tub were under construction so misleading as well.

The room reeked of smoke, it was super run down. We almost ran out of toilet paper, there were no tissues. People where lingering, doors were cracked open. It felt unsafe. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was it had a pool, the pool was under renovations. We didn't even stay the second night that we had paid for, we just wanted out of there. If it hadn't been so late when we arrived, we wouldn't have stayed the 1st night either. The whole first night I prayed there wouldn't be bed bugs. Thank God there weren't.

It was close to our destination. BUT, it went down hill from there. We booked a NON-smoking room with a king size bed, we got 2 queens. The room had clearly been smoked in, we couldn't shower because the handle in the tub came off, TV didn't work, no coffee maker and the pool he said was under renovation. I looked and nothing had been done in the pool except to drain it. I reserved the room for 2 nights, we left the first morning. I will NEVER stay there again, and will inform anyone I know that is planning a trip the Chippewa Falls, WI NOT to stay there.
We are expecting you to refund the money that we paid for the 2nd night that we didn't stay. I would also like someone to follow up with me regarding to the above complaints.
Doesn't anyone from your organization ever inspect these hotels to check if they are what they claim to be? I wouldn't stay there if it were FREE.

They are remodeling the place. But my room had construction debris and dust everywhere!! Paint all over even on the bed! Air conditioner didn't work. They offered to move me after I told them but they shouldn't have even rented to room out. They had the cleaning person come back in to clean but it didn't get any better.

There was never no one around for service, you had to pick up the phone and wait for them to answer.

The breakfast was to be desired, the coffee was so black even after 8 creamers, my coffee was so black, there was no place to sit, no juices, and I'm not even picky about breakfast, but it was to be desired.

We had to ask for house keeping services after spending one night there. We had to ask for more towels, a hair dryer, a remote for the TV and for cable to be hooked up in the room. There was a noticeable gap above the doors. The carpeting was dirty and not installed properly in the hallways. The pool was being renovated, but we were not notified beforehand of that. We had to search for the ice and vending machines because we were not told where they were. There was also no phone in the room, although that may be how they set up the rooms. We were told that our room was still being done, and the floor in the bathroom was not fully tiled yet. All in all, the room quality was very poor. It looks like the hotel was under new management and once it is completed, it may be better. On a positive note, the items that we needed to ask for were brought in a timely manner.

I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but starting right off the bat, I pulled into the parking lot and immediately left thinking I had the wrong address. No signs on the building and it looked run down. I stopped somewhere else and read the most recent reviews and they weren't good. Finally, I go to check in and I had to wait for someone to appear at the front desk. The room itself was okay, definitely not the best. They are renovating (at least I hope that's what's happening) but the room had pipes sticking out, paint off the ceiling, the bathtub was chipped and the water stopper had a gross amount of mildew on it. The light switches were cracked and some of the outlets were either off the wall. The bed was not very comfortable and after reading the reviews, I opted to sleep on top of the sheets as I had brought my own blanket. The wifi password I was given didn't work, but every time I went through the lobby, no one was at the desk so I didn't bother with it. I cannot confirm if the pool actually exists as I didn't venture to look for it. I can't commit on the breakfast bar but it didn't look like there was anything out for it. Check out instructions were never given, so I stood at the front desk for a few minutes; I saw someone else leave their key cards on the desk so I did that as well because I wanted to leave. I hope they figure it out because they could have a great turnout of people for the festivals in the area

In a last-minute effort to get a room I booked online. Buyer beware this property is under construction, heavy odor of renovation, residue from materials being hauled in and out. I ended up checking out shortly after I checked in… There was absolutely no way I could stay there! I am highly sensitive and the strong odor of cleaning and renovation had my skin itching and burning!
I can’t wait to see what they do with the place, but in the meantime, agree with all the other comments, they should not be open

OK. Prefer more for cost.

Room rate was reasonable when booked 3 months earlier, but when reducing from 2 nights to 1 night a couple of weeks in advance, suddenly single Q bed room was not available (through hotels.com) and cost increased about 40% for 1 night in 2 Q room.

Check in was smooth, seemed friendly, provided information about breakfast and wifi access. (This was the only staff person we saw, and the only time we saw any staff throughout our visit).

Room was OK; it could have been cleaner. Sticky walls in bathroom and by door. Garbage on floor behind nightstand (seen when looking for outlet).

Thin walls. Could hear TV from room next to us. Had to turn fan on constant to block noise to allow sleep.

Only 1 electric outlet on lamp on nightstand, and USB port seemed damaged and didn’t work. Tub drain didn’t work.

Renovations seem to be underway, but unfinished. Gap under bathroom door, gap at top of room door (hung crookedly). Snagged carpet in room, etc.

Unusual scent throughout hallway, possibly from restaurant.

Bed was comfortable, but top sheet seemed short and easily came untucked.

Most disappointing, no coffee or breakfast prepared 30 minutes after it was supposed to be available in the morning. No staff at desk. Many guests left rather than waiting.

For cost, prefer breakfast and better accommodations.

Property is under renovation by new owner. Staff is in trained. Room was not cleaned while we were away. Had to ask for towels the second day. Shampoo and conditioner pumps were empty. Hair dryer was broken. Staff didn’t know how to mount replacement. Pool was drained, fitness center was closed. Suggest you remove property from Expedia until that complete renovations and train staff. Suggest they get a manager that has been trained in hotel management.

It was quiet and the location was good for the event we attended. Im not going to bash them for renovations but try to finish soon. Read reviews ahead of time and even through we were hesitant, we still went there, should have listened to the reviews this time though! Pulling into the parking lot, it was not well taken care of. Not even a sign for the hotel on the building (it was leaned up against the side of the building). Check in was fine. Lobby was sparse, breakfast area is right there but no tables or chairs (same in the morning for their “breakfast). Smelled like “old lady perfume” but seemed clean-ish. Our room was ok, beds were as hard as boards though. Crank style window was broken and cracked open, so when we left for the evening, we took all our stuff with us. Told front desk and it was at least closed when we returned late. Discovered our tub didn’t hardly drain, took several hours to drain, and the faucet in the sink was so hard to turn on! Breakfast the next morning was hardly breakfast. It went until 9:30 and at 8:50 there wasn’t even coffee left. Nothing refilled, half eaten yogurt sitting on the counter, very dirty. Still no tables and chairs either. Went to check out and was going to let them at the front desk know about the tub and no one around. Had to call “0” on a phone and after dialing 3 times, someone answered from the room behind the desk. Sounded like I had woken him up. Just left the keys and left. Won’t be staying there again!

Oh and they advertise a pool, but overheard people the night before complaining about no water in the pool!

This property did not match the photos online. The front sign appears to be photoshopped as the building does not match the picture. They are doing remodeling throughout the hotel (which is fine), but we were not informed of this. For example, the pool is nonexistent at the moment and that was not disclosed nor reflected in the price. The rooms did not match the images online, there were no lamps in the rooms, the TV didn’t work, there was never staff at the front desk, etc. Overall, do not recommend.

One of the worst hotel experiences to date for us

First room was so disgusting, bed was made but that is all the housekeepers had done. Stain on pillow, hairs under comforter, pubs on toilet seat and floor. Gentleman at front desk did get us a cleaned room the next morning but was too busy to discuss any reimbursement. Pool was empty as well. I could go on but safe to say we will never go back there!!

Well to start our door was broken. Then to find that the bathroom door looked like an ax was taken to it then repaired. The microwave must of been peed in because we went to heat something up and got the most god awful smell of hot urine. Pool was empty and non functioning. We arrived late(I called and told them) the front desk guy was sleeping. I paid full price to stay from 5am until 11am. I asked free breakfast, that's just coffee. Not hot tub or pool. The whole place is under construction but no where in the listing is that noted. We get to our room and it's horrible. Freezing, heater wasn't on and paper taped of window that was flapping in the wind all night. The carpet was wet and sticky. Rock hard bed with 2 flat pillows. The TV did t even turn on. The wall putty or paint is all over the carpet. Absolutely horrible. If it wasn't so cold I'd have slept in my car. I understand remodeling but at least update the post so people coming in know to expect absolutely nothing. My 2 yr old really enjoys his free coffee for breakfast. Their whole ad and photos are a joke.

When we arrived at the property we noticed it was being renovated. we checked in and were given a room, this room had not been cleaned since the previous tenants had checked out. We were given a different room that had paper taped over the window instead of curtains. No remote for the tv, one towel for 3 of us, shower that made very loud noises, and no coffee maker. The breakfast included consisted of pop tarts and no coffee. Overall very bad experience.

The property was under construction, including our room. No lights in lobby. They used construction lighting. The room was freshly painted but there was paper over the window still so we couldn't even look outside. The pictures shown when booking were not what we got. Exposed wires and outlets, construction dust in the room, no toilet paper or kleenex. Staff was available when they were sitting on the chairs in the loby. When we asked for kleenex we were handed wash clothes instead. No wall art, holes in towels and kleenex, not much for bedding. We didn't expect much with the price we paid but we still didn't get what we paid for. Don't waste your time book somewhere else.

This hotel is completely under construction. It should not have even been available to rent. Doors didn’t open, construction material littered every hallway, and room key didn’t work. Rooms were ice cold and the bathtub was full of water when entering the room. Found out we were the only two people staying in the hotel as guests right now. Walking down the hallways was scary. Lack of lighting, lamps plugged into outlets in the hallway here and there. What a nightmare.

When we first arrived, we thought the place was closed. Parking lot was full of weeds and the area around the motel looked abandoned.
We went to the motel next door and they told us it was actually open so we went back and entered the lobby area. The front desk person welcomed us and said they had just reopened and only one wing of the building was ready. Surprisingly, the pool was open. Rooms were clean and everything was functional.

There is a reason that this hotel is cheap. The pool and hot tub sit empty, the entry way is sterile and unwelcoming. The continental breakfast was a granola bar and clementine.
The room was ok, it was dusty behind the bedside tables.
The desk staff was fine, not unfriendly but not nice. They were outside smoking a lot and when we left, they ran so we couldn't see him. I am almost sure we were the only people at the hotel. We left last night at the Christmas decorations were strewn all over the entry way and some were broken. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

Don’t waste your money- at all.

I booked this hotel by accident. I was in a rush to leave my home and ended up getting the wrong hotel. I go to the front desk- main doors wide open, front desk person in the back with the door closed. I needed somewhere to stay so I proceeded with check in. I got to my room. Beds were both visibly dirty, the one working light was extremely dim. It smelled horribly in there. The whole room was dirty. Just very unsettling feeling in there. The remote back was off and the batteries were corroded so it didn’t work. The room phone didn’t work. I was in there no longer than 10 minutes and I left. I returned my key and went to my intended hotel. I attempted to get my money back and was denied. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Ever.

The property is in a much needed fix up mode and We paid way too much. Hotel was pretty empty but they still put a family with a baby, right next to us.

Disappointed

The doors deadbolt did lock but the hotel door stopper/lock was broken. The toilet did not flush and the tank was empty leading me to believe the water was off. It was late when we checked in and I was too tired to complain. I propped furniture in front of the door to feel a little safer. And I used a trash can to force flush the toilet. In the morning when I checked out I told the front desk about the issues and they did not seem surprised but annoyed that I was giving them this information.

The pool doesn’t work. The breakfast isn’t even good. They only offer fruit and grain bars, granola bars, oatmeal without no bowls, and yogurt cups.

The owners are working on improving the property- but they have a ways to go with updating the rooms - new tv - new bedding- everything else original “80s” - Parking lot is being worked on - to their credit they are making changes - it’s a place to stay for a night

This place was the worst hotel . It was so bad we left immediately and did not stay there. It appears that someone brought this hotel to rehab it and has it open even though it is in awful condition. There was lumber stacked up in front of our room. Several rooms were open with plumbing fixtures stacked up.
When we inspected the room, I walked through spider webs to enter the room, there was a plastic bag stuffed in an exhaust vent. The room had been cleaned but was in poor condition.
The front desk lady was pleasant and gave us a refund right away.
This hotel may be ok once it has been repaired, but you will need to give it at least until summer 2025 before it may be decent.

We needed a cheap room for one night and this served our purpose. Enjoyed the pool time and nice staff. Rooms are spacious. The only thing was breakfast was listed on the site but it was never mentioned at check in so I’m not sure if they had it or not. Great one night stay.

The property is a motel style. When we pulled up, I thought we were at the wrong place. The sheets were stained, grime was all over the sink, breakfast was advertised as 7am to 10am with muffins, cereal, fruit, and waffles, but was only served from 6am to 8am and when we went down at 8:30am, they were done serving. The next day they were serving fruit and whole boxes of cereal with one gallon of milk for everyone to share and pour from. When we tried discussing this with staff, they just stood there with blank stares or barely said anything. We will never return. Despite my time spent on looking at pictures of the property prior to booking, it is not as it appears. Maybe when they initially opened, but not as it is now. My grade-school aged son said because of the lack of cleanliness he wouldn’t even attempt swimming in the pool. We ended up driving to pay for breakfast at the local Perkins and didn’t even feel comfortable sleeping there, but with the event we went to, everywhere was booked. Very disappointed.

The lady at the front desk was nice and after seeing the room, I returned and told her I couldn’t stay here due to the damp musty smell. There was a drying fan going on so I imagine water damage was evident. I told her I wanted a refund and she gave me her boss’s number but I haven’t been able to reach him yet. We went to another hotel and they told us the mayor of the city condemned the place! Enuff said! The new owners changed the name and seem to be working on repairs to their credit. Expedia is working on getting my refund.
I may update this if I don’t get my refund!

The property was clearly under renovation; there was construction debris everywhere and even doors to the outside hanging off their hinges, so anyone/anything could enter.
Door locks didn't work on my room, so after much ado (and reprogramming keys) I had to move to another room. The new room had no remote for the TV, so no TV. The refrigerator didn't work, so I had some food spoil. The ice machine in the hall didn't work, so no ice. At least the water was hot for my shower.

Have been at worse, but also many better.

The place is a room to lay your head, but not necessarily all that comfortable. Pillows are very flat and there are not any extras included. Room doors were iffy on whether they were working. Staff seemed alright, but did not go out of their way with anything.

The room had a funny smell. There was holes in the walls that were being repaired. The couch in the room much have been there since they opened up in the 1960’s. The door to exit to the outside at the end of the hall was broken off hanging by the door closer and not able to be used. Safety issue.

Absolutely a dump. 1 night @ 150.00 dollars. Walls had holes in them, patched and never painted, carpet pulling up, doors not locking, parking lot and side walks had weeds all growing higher than my knees. It’s like one day many years ago, they just gave up. Absolute dump
