Here’s my honest review:
I booked this place looking for a more cozy place to stay than a hotel room in port Angeles. The place was cute, but wish I knew walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors conversing. Thankfully we had considerate neighbors, and we turned on ocean white noise and a fan to fall asleep. They don’t have a tv, which that’s my mistake for not reading carefully. Heater and hot water work perfectly.
We tried to make coffee in the morning and the coffee pot was super dirty, even a little moldy in the bottom. And some old teabag left inside.
The rooms are right off the highway. So if you’re looking for something within the forest, this is not really a good choice. They do have a nice cafe outside. We had dinner there and the food was decent and the place is cute and cozy.

For what this place offers, I think it’s overpriced and much rather just get a hotel room for a cheaper price

This was a great spot. Granny’s restaurant and ice cream shop was delicious! The suite was great and the beds were comfortable and everything we needed was there. The only negatives about the suite we were in was the kitchen sink had minimal water pressure, so we used the bathroom for everything which isn’t ideal and a large fridge would have been more convenient. Other than that, it was a fabulous stay.

Cute old-school inn but lacking in comfort

Charming old-school inn ideally located close to Olympic. Loved the natural setting, goats, emus, and location. Didn't love the lack of attention to detail - we asked for our room to be touched up (towels/beds made) and arrived to find that only towels had been changed. Also, we were there on a particularly hot spell, and the lack of A/C made for a stifling night. Although the room had a fan, it wasn't enough. The other issue was inconsistent shower temperature - we'd be showering with hot water and suddenly it would briefly turn ice-cold. Happened both nights at different times, so I don't know the cause. Keep in mind that you're paying for location and cuteness, but don't expect much more.

Nice, quiet, cozy place with only 6-7 units. Didn’t count them. We just needed a place to sleep while hanging out at Lake Crescent and hiking in Mt Olympia National Park. It was clean and comfortable and dinner at Granny’s next door was better than expected. I’d stay there again. Check in was online and check out was just turn out the lights and close the door when leaving. Simple!

Booked 1 night here and thank goodness it wasn’t more. No check in desk or even person to assist when we had an issue (this wasn’t mentioned on Hotels.com when we booked). Tiniest of rooms with not even a TV or WiFi (surely basic utilities in 2025!!!!). Disappointing and frustrating.

the cutest little inn very closely located to olympic national park! emerald inn is nestled in between very beautiful mountains with a conveniently located restaurant (with amazing shakes) right outside your door! staff was quick to respond to any needs we had and it was very quiet which was a bonus. if you stay here, you'll have to check out the cute farm animals too :) highly recommend & will definitely be staying here again when I come back!

A jewel in the valley

We were so blessed to stay here! The location is gorgeous and there is nothing around except for the rooms (there are 6 total, plus a guest house) and a cafe, which wasn't open during our stay but it was the middle of winter, so we were prepared for it. We rented out the two suites, and both were awesome! The heaters worked great, the rooms were very clean, and the kitchenettes were exactly what we needed for some basic groceries. One bed was a little lumpy and sagged in the middle, but the other 3 (again, 2 suites) were comfortable and we slept well. There's a big field by the property, so I imagine during the summer or fall it would be a nice place for kids to play. There is no tv (which we appreciated, but there is wifi. It's clear that the owners take pride in their place, and we would definitely stay here again! Note: there is no person on-site to deal with, but they were very responsive to texts. They also offer housekeeping upon request, so we always had what we needed. Finally, the location is right near the edge of Olympic National Park, so it's very convenient to travel into the Lake Crescent or Elwha Valley areas, and it saves about 20 minutes on a drive to Rialto Beach or beyond compared to staying in Port Angeles proper. BUT, the city is only 20 minutes away so it's not hard to find \"civilization\" if needs must. Overall, definitely a great place and we recommend it!

I am so sad. I’ve stayed here before during warmer weather. This time around was not a good experience the heater in our room had two panels but only one panel worked. We had to sleep with our jackets and gloves on. The bathroom was also not the cleanest. The room also smelled damp. I really hope they invest a little to repair the small things that make the biggest difference.

The stay itself wasn't too bad. However, the service from the owners was lacking. I am from out of country and had asked prior to checking in for them to email me instead of texting as I wasn't sure I would be able to access my texts. They did not listen and sent the check-in instructions to my phone. It took me over 2 hours to be able to check in as I didn't have the instructions they text me, they weren't on site and I wasn't able to call or text them.
When they finally responded, they told me they had texted me the instructions/door code and didn't seem to care.
I also didn't see the heater in the room right away so emailed them to ask where to access heat. I never received a response.

We stayed for 2 nights on our tour around Washington. The room was tidy and clean and the location out of town ideal for us. No TV, but who needs a TV in a surrounding like that. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that you have no human contact with the owner or staff. Everything is done via the internet or by phone.

This hotel is a fun place to stay. The room was decorated nicely and was as pictured. The entire property was fun to walk around (goats, chickens, ostrich, cats) and there is a restaurant which was closed while we were there but looked nice. They provided ear plugs which I though was a thoughtful touch but we didn't need them since we couldn't hear the street noise. My daughter liked it so much she wants an apartment like it when she grows up. I would stay here again. We felt away from the busy Port Angeles but close enough to go there for meals.

Checked in remotely--a bit stretchy since the general area didn't have good signal and took a lot of time to load picture etc for registration.

Very quiet area in meadowy setting set deep in the valley.

Room very clean and set up.

Two suggestions.

1) Add more blankets to each bed--a bit uncomfortable using everything in the room and

2) the drapes are a bit thin to insure modesty.

There's a nice restaurant next door, but no breakfast hours--be prepared.

We'll strongly consider returning if we're out that way again.

I plan to call Expedia about the rating on this property. I used the high ratings to decide to stay here. This place is running a total scam. The “deluxe 2 bedroom suite” was so outdated and unacceptable that we simply left and took a loss. I wouldn’t have asked the goats on the property (too true and I like goats) to stay in the room

We got the double bed room. It was very small. When first arriving I was a little taken back but after we settled in it was delightful. There wasn’t any air conditioning but sleeping with the window open brought in wonderful cool fresh air. They had everything you would need. It was just a small room.
Granny’s cafe is on the property but only open from thurs -sun. 11-7. The hamburgers were big and delicious. Not many options in the park for dinner.
I would recommend this simple hotel if you don’t need fancy.

We loved staying at the Emerald Valley Inn. It is a great place for resting along 101 with clean rooms and friendly staff. There is enough room to park a trailered boat and late check-ins are a breeze. When we forgot an item, Emerald Valley Inn tracked it down and had it waiting for us to pick up on our way back through. It was even run through the wash! I will definitely be recommending Emerald Valley Inn to everyone.

Just book it! 10 out of 10 stars!!! The most gorgeous, cleanest, hospitable spot we’ve been to outside of a beach resort. We forgot we were in the middle of a mountain road! The exterior is definitely vintage but boy did these owners go hard on providing an awesome stay away from home. Us 4 girls stayed in room 1 and the room had a full mini kitchen with a sink and dining, awesome bedding, earplugs yall…. And enough tea and coffee for the morning. They had some cute animals to check out on site and a nice view from the back. We were here for Hurricane Ridge but unfortunately it was closed due to icy roads and rain. Still had a great time and glad we found this place.

We are return customers. This was our third stay & will continue to come back!
The scenery is beautiful, the rooms are cozy, clean, well stocked & sheets & bedding very comfortable.
One of our favorite things are the free range chickens , the goats & Emus, as well as the big open skies to star watch & fire pits.
The Granny's cafe on site , although closed in winter, has fantastic food! Be sure & try the breakfast sandwhich & ice cream

Location is within the park and convenient. The cafe was closed while I stayed there, and there is no close dining options around there. If the cafe was open, it would have been very convenient. Staff was attentive, even if remote, and communicate and check- in with you via text. Contactless check-in and check-out with code. The room is nicely decorated but small, and the sound insulation was non existent;you can hear everything from next door. Amenity was good but lacked on coffee ( had cream and lots of tea bags, though) and conditioner.

If you like cozy, quaint, cottage like places, then Emerald Valley Inn is the place for you. If you can, I highly suggest getting the Flapjack Camp #6. It was recently updated with a modern farmhouse feel. Contactless check in and the room was immaculate. Also, the communication was great with the Inn staff. I didn't have any issues but I knew if something was to come up, they were only a text away. The location is perfect if you're mainly there to explore Olympic National Park. Also, Granny's Cafè is on the property, so you don't have to drive anywhere for food (don't forget to get the blackberry pie). Overall my stay at the Inn was perfect. I definitely wish I had at least another night there. Instead I'm staying in downtown Tacoma missing the peace and quiet the Inn had to offer.

The room was perfect for us. I’m a Texan so i was slightly alarmed with no a/c but we opened the windows and it was more than comfortable. I even thought about getting another blanket. Owners were super-nice and the check-in process was perfect because we got in late. Beds were comfy. Decor was cute. Shower worked great. We didn’t eat at granny’s but it sure did smell good when we were leaving. Wish we could have stayed a little longer. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely property! Very cute Motor Lodge located just outside the busier city of Port Angeles. Room is small but has everything you need including small fridge/freezer and microwave. Beds and bedding looked new and was warm and inviting. Had one small issue that was resolved immediately. Property has a small farm with Emu’s, a donkey, chickens, goats and gardens that visitors are free to roam. Restaurant was not open while we were there so cannot comment on that. We hit the grocery store in town before arriving. Lake Crescent is located nearby with food options at the lodge.

Simple on the outside but fantastic modern farmhouse style on the inside. Worth the drive from Port Angeles.
Great design choices from the hanging lamps to the stools and beds.
We had the family suite and it was very clean, well lit and spacious with hard “wood” flooring which we prefer over carpet due to past issues when other people bring pets to motels (no problems here).
The farm animals were quiet and we had no issues with noise from the neighbors. The beds were very comfortable and the shower maintained a steady supply of hot water.
The kids enjoyed seeing the emu and other animals. Having Granny’s next door made dinner and breakfast easy, and the food was delicious (especially the burgers).
We look forward to going back.

It was an adorable family and friend establishment. Our room appeared newly remodeled as a cabin. So cozy.
Beautiful snowy mountain views, gorgeous wooded green valley, plenty of walking area, and best of all there was a small animal farm/barn yard. Donna donkey, four goats, chickens, doves, garden goldfish pond and very friendly emu pair that recently laid a beautiful neon green egg!
We had the place to ourselves because of being midweek and off season. This was definitely a plus. It would have been nice if Granny’s Cafe was open. We planned ahead, and had our own breakfasts and dinners on our quaint bistro table in our room. Spoke with the owner and animal caretaker at length who answered my questions and shared some history of the lodging and camping.

Emerald Valley Inn was a great stay. The check-in and check-out process was easy, straight forward. Stayed in the Cape Alava room, which was cozy and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Walls are a bit thin, but all else about my stay was pleasant. I would stay again!

Lovely place to stay while visiting Hurricane Ridg

Just an excellent experience. Room and beds were clean and comfortable, shower worked great. Area is quiet (it is a quaint hotel with only about 6 rooms). The kids loved the menagerie of emus, goats, and donkey on the property, as well as the chickens running around. John the host was great, and Granny's Restaurant had excellent food at a good value. Would definitely stay here again
