Too many failures to list. Nice staff when they were around, drink machine wouldn't work, couldn't get ice. Office closed by 8pm, no one around. There were some upgrades like high toilets, but water in sinks barely better than a trickle. The property is quite old and out of date, no elevator to second floor. It wasn't at all like advertising depicted in pictures. can't recommend this place.

Perfect stop for a night on my way to Olympic National Park. Check-in was quick and friendly, the room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had strong water pressure. Parking right by the door made unloading easy. Wi-Fi was stable and fast enough for work. The location is great for an early ferry or park start, with coffee and restaurants a short walk away. Quiet at night and felt safe. Excellent value for the price. I would happily stay here again.

Decent room, clean and quiet enough. Bathroom sink water pressure was very low, just a dribble. Somebody had broken into the bathroom, breaking the door frame, so bathroom door did not shut tight. Needs repairs. Other than that, clean and comfortable.

The door to our room had about an inch gap- it did not run all the way to the floor. We had to stuff rolled up towels on the floor so creepy crawlers and cold air didn’t come in. We were in second floor. We are not complainers so we dealt with it but hopefully can be fixed for other guests.

The carpet was very dirty, felt sticky, probably original to the building. The bedspread looked like it had been used for 30 years, worn and dirty feeling, we took it off the bed right away. No places in the bathroom to put your clothes while you took a shower, not even a hook on the door. While showering we stood in 4-6\" of water that did not drain properly. The water in the sink faucet barely trickled out. Everything in the room was worn looking. One positive review was the the bed was pretty comfy, slept good. But I would not stay here again and would not recommend. Paid over $300 on Expedia to stay for 2 nights. The pictures on the website definitely looked better than the motel did in person. Would be stretching to give it a one star review.

Overall a decent stay. Stairs were a little tough, for those who have any difficulties with stairs get a ground floor room. Our fridge was turned down low so the freezer defrosted causing water all over the place that we had to clean up on getting there (office was already closed). Room was comfortable, water was hot with great water pressure, located near everything we wanted to do.

I stayed at this motel while visiting Olympic NP. One thing I appreciated about this location was the local restaurant listing they provided. It was also very close (10 minutes) to Hurricane Ridge. There are many dining options within 1-5 miles so you can't go wrong.

First of all, the young lady who checked us in was attentive and polite. No complaints there.
No safety in parking lot Someone slashed my tire overnight adding $340 to my trip cost.
Strong mildew smell they had clearly tried to cover up with bleach.
Everything was relatively clean but floor was gross. Also the bathroom has mold in the bath tub. The coffee maker water tank had no lid so it was gross inside.
It is located next to a partially abandoned apartment building.

the room was pretty unclean, had to ask for new sheets because there were dirt paw prints on my first set. They handed them to me and I changed them myself. Second set were scuffed and stained. Dead flys, broken chair. What really disgusted me was there was a washcloth that wasn’t from our stay still hanging from the shower curtain. It was a night of sleep in a nice town but wow I would not stay there again.

Motel room was adequate, but our room was noisy due to being right next to a main road. Lumber trucks started moving through town very early, like 3 or 4am. Room was clean, but dated. It did seem like they made some improvements, as the bathroom looked more up-to-date. Stay was just okay.

My feet were black after walking around the room. Hotel needs to shampoo the carpet and ensure that the hard floors around the bathroom are mopped.

This a solid 3 star motel. Had to wait for someone to show up at the front desk for about 10mins. She was nice but not dressed professionally. The bed was fairly comfortable and the AC was cold. But there were long hairs in the shower and there was something wrong with the tv screen.
I traveled with 2 dogs and was charged $25/dog but then had signs saying to take dogs off the property to go to the bathroom. Very odd.

I received a message about check in but the info was not clear. It said registration desk was open until 10pm but then said to call if we’d be late. We got a call while driving that they were closing at 9:15 and the person was very rude about the confusion. She dod leave a key. The room was shabby and the floor sticky and dirty.

Property has good location. Unfortunately the bed linens were clean but very old. The uphostered chair was extremely stained. The rooms were no smoking, but had clearly been smoked in. Room 204 smells like urine. The staff took no action to movevrooms or deodorize. The room rate is out of balance with the room quality.

Very close to the ferry which we needed to catch early the next morning so that was convenient. The hotel served its purpose for what we needed but if coming to Port Angeles for other reasons, I would stay elsewhere due to the small space, spiderwebs in the corner, old furniture and lack of updates.

Nice room, rustic facade

A bit pricey, but understandable due to the location and season. The place is not attractive from the outside, but looks like an authentic mom and pop. Rooms have been redone and are pretty nice including crown molding and a nice bathroom with some quirks. Overall I was impressed and would stay there again.

We’ve stayed at the Royal Victorian Motel many times over the years, when passing through to Olympic National Park or Victoria. While never fancy, it was always clean and reasonable. This time around however, the rate was not justifiable given the deteriorating conditions. $340 for one night, with a broken (clearly kicked in) bathroom door. Questionable stains on the walls and furniture, and an overall worn appearance. Check in was quick and the lady working was friendly and efficient. Check out the following morning, the front desk guy wouldn’t even unlock the reception door - not the best look.

I thought the pricing was high due to the seasonal demand, but the motel didn’t seem full. All things considered, it’s time for us to move on to a higher rated lodging option when in town. It’s been a good run!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the property was in a good location with easy access to the waterfront, restaurants, supermarkets, and shops. I really enjoyed Port Angeles.

The one thing that was really missing in the room was a towel rack: there wasn't one in the vanity area nor in the bathroom itself so I didn't know what to do with my towels. There was also some mold on the back of the shower curtain liner.

The lady at check-in was great. We had just come from dinner to check in and leave to go see sunset from atop Hurricane Ridge. We didn't get back until around 10 pm. I wanted to shower before bed but noticed that we had NO towels. Not one. The office closes at 9, so I called the hotel phone number. The man answered the phone very casually, no Royal Victorian, may I help you out anything. I told him that we had no towels. He told me that the office was closed. Glad we could agree on that. I told him that we'd like some 'tonight'. He first told me he could get them to me by midnight. I stood that was not acceptable. Then he said maybe by 11 pm. When I started to all why not sooner, he hung up on me. Look, it's not my fault that his housekeeping didn't do their job properly. Needless to say, we went to bed without showers. I hoped maybe they'd be outside our door this morning, but no. So since the office doesn't open until 9, I called the same number. When he answered, he said, are you calling about the towels? Um, yes! Yes, I am. He then said he'd bring them by momentarily AND HE DID! No apology.
I then got on the phone with Hotels.com to get some kind of refund for the inconvenience. They put me on hold to confirm my story with the hotel, then came back to say that the hotel would give us 15% refund, which isn't great but it's something.
The rooms are worn. The hairdryer was melted (😳). The couch cushion had a large gash.
Would NOT recommend.
