I could hear the neighbor through the adjoining room. One pillow case was on the pillow inside out and I had one coffee cup and 3 lids. Just a little odd. Housekeeping must have some new staff.

My son and. I stayed here for 3 nights, I loved the spacious room, it was lovely especially staying with my son. Just extra room for us to move around in. You can't beat the location I did my morning run the Olympic Discovery trail it was so peaceful. Because it was the off season, it was pretty quiet throughout our stay. The third night no so much. just not enough sound proofing? I feel like the people above us were moving furniture or opening and closing doors? Repeatly from 1-4 a.m. My son slept right through it. Our room did not look over the water just the parking lot.

The bar was very well stocked. The barmaid was very attentive, and the drinks were quite strong actually. The beach is literally inches away. The Jacuzzi was beautiful.

I’ve stayed there four different times now the rooms are always spotless. The linens are brand new. The beds are amazing. The restaurant has the most incredible food. The bar is stellar. The drinks are strong and the staff is amazing. You can literally walk out the big glass doors from the hotel right onto the beach and right onto the water.

Our stay was fantastic. It completely met our needs. We came in the evening to catch the early morning ferry to Victoria. There was a lovely walking path right outside our door. There were many great restaurants nearby for dinner. Our view was incredible!

I love staying here normally and I had high hopes for my first visit since the property was refreshed. The new paint, wallpaper, carpets, and color schemes is perfect, and my King water view room was everything I wanted. *EXCEPT* that when I checked in at 4:15 and asked for a ground floor because my currently-disabled mom wanted to visit (she lives in town) and this hotel doesn't have an elevator. I was told that would be no problem, but that rooms are not ready yet. I get it, that happens, and they would call me as soon as it's ready. I had some food in the lounge restaurant, and went back to the front desk at 5:15. Unfortunately, somehow there was no longer a ground floor room available. On a Tuesday, and the parking lot is mostly empty, so my mom didn't get to visit with me and enjoy a nice view. I'm probably going to stay there again as it's my fave hotel in my former hometown, but if I ever need anything not usual, I'm going to be double and triple checking, otherwise it's a nice place.

Perfect for our needs. We stayed one night to catch the black ball ferry in the morning to Victoria. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a pretty water view at night. It has been completely refurbished, but still has the remnants of its original design (funky shake roof, completely detached office), but that was a feature not a big.

Staff was friendly. Loved the hot tub. Coffee/tea hot chocolate available in the lobby. No breakfast. The hotel is older but kept up nicely. The only problem was there was a touch of sand on the floor of the room. You couldn't walk barefoot. Hotel was quiet, beds were comfortable. Room temperature very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Large fridge and microwave provided. Beautiful views

It was a pleasant stay. Next time I will get a room on the water side. The cars parking was kind of loud and headlight shine into the room. But it was clean and staff was great. Looks like they are doing improvements on the property from the construction equipment in the parking lot. Beautiful scenery on the water side of the property and saw seals!!

Pros: Staff very courteous. Room location with water view very nice. Proximity to Black Ball Ferry excellent. Room clean. Cons: Linens were threadbare, hallway had strong odor of air freshener probably to cover carpeting that needed replacement badly. In house restaurant was advertised to be open for breakfast. It was closed because waitress did not show up for work. We were not the only guests that were inconvenienced.

Well, the beds are new and extremely comfortable! Room was clean and neat. The only thing that is included with the room is coffee… but The maid did not leave any cups and only one pack of coffee… so we had to get up and go to the lobby to get coffee in the morning. Wish we woulda checked that before going to bed!! Oh well, mistakes happen.

Perfectly adequate. But... they charged an annoying "resort" fee (not mentioned at the time of booking), even though the pool and accompanying amenities (if any) were unavailable. The check-in clerk couldn't explain what else one might receive for the "resort" fee, but was clear that it was mandatory.
