Beautiful hotel in a fantastic area! Our balcony room was gorgeous! The room was also clean and had the necessary amenities. The only issue was the noise in the AM. I understand the hotel is located in a busy area and expect outside noise to some extent, but never being able to sleep later than 6am on vacation is less than ideal. I would suggest if possible double pain windows maybe? Overall we had a fantastic stay! Thank you!

Our experience was outstanding. We were especially pleased with the room upgrade. It was much bigger than expected and extra special being at the end with the two windows we could open to see and hear the lively and fun activity on the street and restaurant below. We loved the 'old' feel of the entire hotel and the room itself. The front desk staff was great - very cordial and helpful in many ways. The connection with the restaurant was great and the waiters, food, and outdoor environment was wonderful. And the location was really convenient also.

A positive was that at arrival a nice woman
at reception was kind and arranged for me to get into my room without waiting .
The room was called a double room It was tiny. There was no safe present in the closet
The walk in shower was adequate .The room faced the street and was noisy thru out the night.It would be better to have a room facing the courtyard
Breakfast was quite good and reasonably priced.The coffee could be improved
They give customers a discount for the Italian restaurant in same building which is quite good

This is a charming traditional hotel, but the desk clerk insulted me by laughing at my attempt speaking French. Also - most importantly- this hotel is NOT for anyone with limited mobility; the bath/shower was treacherous.

Excellent location in the heart of the Latin Quarter, but the downside is that it is very noisy at night. The windows are single pane and not soundproofed. Bring earplugs! Rooms were not ready at check in time. Air conditioning did not work on one floor but the staff was able to get it fixed within several hours after we reported it and others confirmed. Good breakfast available in small room off the ground floor. We preferred options outside the hotel. We appreciated that the staff tried to make up for the deficiencies for our stay (we had several rooms).

The staff and location were my favorite things about this hotel! Very kind, genuine people who offered us lots of advice for our stay and seemed genuinely concerned for our safety & making sure we paid the best value for things. Our check in was delayed, so they were kind enough to offer free breakfast. They were attentive when I asked for more towels, pillows, & other items. I loved how close we were to tha atttractions we wanted to see, as well as the metro. I enjoyed the Union square restaurant across the street. The air conditioning could use a bit improvement, as we were quite warm and like a pretty cool room. It was a very cute, clean place! The refrigerator did not seem to get cool either but we didn’t mind as we didn’t have much need for it. It is a very small space, my husband is a bigger guy and it’s difficult to manuever in the very small restroom but we made do. Thanks so much! We had a great stay.

A smart TV would be nice since there were no channels in English and we couldn't get the subtitles to switch off French

The room , we knew was small , but a little over 3 metres x 3 metres for 10m squared was insane for $400usd per night. We had no room for a suitcase and to walk around the bed. Location was great. Rooms were noisy , you could hear everything in neighbours rooms, table was broken, toilet wouldn’t stop flushing, soaps in bathroom were empty. Staff were very friendly. I think this is well below par.

Couldn't ask for better!
From the warm check-in greeting and service by Mathias at the front desk to the housekeeping crew being on point to Shafia on duty at breakfast, Hotel Saint Severin was tops.
The location is impeccable -- easy access to the metro, wonderful neighborhood shops, tourist attractions, restaurants, and local treasures. Friendly for walking, easy to grab a cab, plenty of options for people of all ages and interests.
Our room had a lovely view and we found ourselves taking photos right from our window. The hotel has a beautifully quirky non-square shape that makes for interesting rooms and hallways, with stone walls and traditional windows.
This was my second stay here and I look forward to returning again soon!

I think it is important to note that a “Classic Double” is very small. I have travelled in France and stayed in hotels there before, this room was not a great value. They did make it right by upgrading my room after the first night to one that I felt was a good value for the price I paid. The rooms are clean and fairly well maintained. I did have hair dryer issues. All in all, the area is fantastic, and because of this, I would consider staying with them again. Just don’t rely on their nonexistent airport shuttle.

Hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room is quite dark particularly at night. The 4 lamps/light fixtures must have 20 watt bulbs in place. The room temperature can only be adjusted from the front desk and the thermostat in the room does not control anything. The breakfast is adequate, but a better value is to eat at neighboring hotels or a bakery

We were on the third floor facing street. Small but efficient. Loved being able to open our wind and hear and see the street below. It was not quiet at night but we didn't mind that. Bed was comfortable, Pillows not so good.
We had two wonderful ladies when we arrived that were very helpful. But for the rest of the time we had two men that didn't offer any help unless asked directly.
Breakfast - we booked only two breakfast for the first and last day and then went out the other mornings. It was small but better when you went earlier.

I fell in love with the hotel the minute I walked in it. Emma at the front desk was exceptionally kind and gracious. I arrived early and she made it a point of her duty to get my room ready. Thanks Emma. Mathis was also very helpful. Breakfast was fresh every day. My room was cool and fresh. I recommend this hotel. Everything is right there as you walked through those hotel doors ❤️

We loved the location of this hotel! Notre Dame a few blocks away. Metro stop about a block. So many restaurants and shops all around including an amazing piano bar that we went to after dinner multiple times.
Room is small but location totally won us over. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Did not have breakfast. Rooms were warm. Bed was comfortable but ask for extra pillows. Room was small but this is normal for Paris as most hotels are old buildings. 24 hour receiption and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is super. Metro saint michael only a few minutes walk. Great for accessing the city (straight run to the eiffel tower, 1 change for montmartre). Only a few minutes walk to Notre damn and maybe 15 minutes to the louvre. Loads of places to eat/drink/shop near the hotel. Pont neuf bridge quite near and you can get boat trips on the seine from there.

The location is fabulous! So close to the subway and within walking distance of many attractions. We stayed in a 2 twin room. It was larger than expected and cozy. The room also had a French balcony overlooking the street which was wonderful. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and the staff was attentive and kind. We will definitely be back.

The walls are very thin and you can hear the people in the room next to you. We had to ask to change rooms because the people next door were being very loud at late hours and not allowing us to sleep. We noticed after the room switch (which the staff was very kind about) that we could still here the room next door but they weren’t as boisterous as the original room. The hotel is walking distance to Notre Dame and the metro.

I chose to stay here for 4 nights due to its close proximity to the Notre Dame cathedral, Seine River, Louvre, and most importantly, the metro and RERB stations. It is a two minute walk from the station and very convenient if you plan to use the metro and the bus. Very convenient.
The staff are courteous and helpful. These reasons I’m giving it stars. I had to take off two stars because it is not worth the expensive rate due to the small size of the room for the price. It is super tiny and there’s almost no space to walk around Specially if you put your luggage on the floor. We had to put our luggage inside the closet just so we can walk, one person at a time, on the open spaces. Likewise, the bathroom is super small, even found one tiny cockroach. The heater in the room Didn’t work, but the staff was kind enough to give us a portable heater. It was freezing cold outside and raining.
If you dont mind the tiny room and bathroom for more than $200 a night, then book here.

Staff was friendly and helpful and were able to accommodate an early check in. Location was close to metro and bus lines. I was cold but the staff kindly let us borrow a space heater. Located near a busy street but didn't experience too much outside noise. However, inside walls were thin and it was easy to hear cleaning and conversations happening in the hallway close to our room.

Great location! Cute hotel. 4 stars because there was a very strong fragrance smell. I opened the balcony door to air the room out but once the for close that smell filled the room again. Also smells like that in lobby and hallway.
