Bathroom really small couldn’t swing a car also I booked for a deluxe king room with sea view (claimed king size bed) only for a double bed also floor boards in a certain section of the floor needs replacing as you sink into the floor

The staff were excellent! The view was SPECTACULAR!!! I had room #5 and the view of the beach was just breathtaking! I loved it! The room is a single, but roomy enough. Nice tv and plenty of storage. Mini-fridge included also and that was unexpected and very handy! Very comfy cozy bedding.
The hotel restaurant was great! I had lunch and dinner several times and everything I tried was delicious.
There are several close restaurants and some shops for souvenirs and stuff. So pretty, everything!
There is a bus stop close by, too.
My only disappointment was due to my mobility issues. But my room was up a couple flights of stairs, no elevator. The view was so beautiful though, I am glad I stayed! It was worth it!!!

Nice place to stay but

Nice place to stay. However at dinner time they ignored us once we had our food, took over 30 mins to clear our plates despite seeing they were ready to collect, didn’t offer us dessert or a second drink. It was a bit disappointing as the wait staff weren’t really all that busy, and appeared as though they were just waiting for their shift to finish.

Very close to the beach. Nice sea view when you stand at the window, but it would have been nicer had there been a chair in the window or if the bed was turned and you could see the sea from bed. Bathroom a bit tired looking. Convenient parking just outside. Lots of chatting in the street audible in the room, from people walking past or smoking outside the restaurant. Maybe something to consider if you are after an early night.

Have stayed several times in the past, have neve been disappointed, but hardly slept this time due to a dripping noise from room above, sounded like water dripping in a shower or something.
Other than that the hotel is great, hopefully the hotel van sort the drip out. I was room 2, so whatever is above is where the issue is.

We stayed for two nights as the cheapest option at the time. The service was great, the girls at the restaurant and check in were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean and perfectly adequate, with a nice view looking out to the sea. The big issue we had was with the bathroom. There was a strong and unshifting smell of urine our entire stay, and the system made a very disturbing and loud thudding noise every time the toilet was flushed or throughout the entire duration of a shower. This noise could also be heard when the neighbouring rooms used the facilities. It definitely dampened our stay and would persuade us not to come here again, despite good service.

Staff were very helpful and friendly and the restaurant food was good. Although the room was a bit smaller than what we were used to (we had to large pieces of luggage and 3 backpacks), it was very clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. To top it off, we had a window view of the water.

The only down side was the pillows - flat, rock hard and all 4 pillows were dreadful.
Room was bright, facing the beautiful beach and the touches of “the sea” throughout the hallways and rooms was very pleasing to the eye.

Good location. We had been charged at least double the average amount for some reason. So we were expecting to stay at a high quality establishment. It definitely wasn’t. It was quite run down and in need of repairs. The usual charges are a more acceptable and I think if we hadn’t been charged the inflated price and paid around the usual average we would have felt it was a fair price for the location.

Recent work trip. Staff are all excellent, and very friendly, and food was great.
Room had an almost constant clicking noise in the wall - sounded like pipes, due to heating.
Didn't mention it as I know the place was fully booked, and also had earplugs, so for a single night, wasn't worth a fuss. Would have requested a move if staying longer.

Lossiemouth’s tiny teeny hotel.

The rooms in this hotel are unbelievably small, we booked a double and there was barely enough space to walk around the bed. The bathroom consisted of a toilet and a small shower with a folding door, these were placed in a closet sized room next to a small children’s wardrobe. The sink was at the end of the bed, so basically you could wash and brush your teeth without leaving the bed. We didn’t eat in the hotel as the menu seemed to predominantly consist of burgers. Overall an experience we do not ever want to repeat.

We stayed over night and arrived late since trains got delayed. The hotel's staff were kind to leave us self check in instructions. The room was cold, we had to keep two layers of Thermo wear on at night to stay warm. The radiator was on but was not sufficient to warm the room until the next morning. Double bed was not comfortable and left me back ache in the morning

Lovely stay, very clean and the staff are very friendly, the side door system a bit of a hastle incase you lock others out, room 4 immaculate very small but has everything you need, and is comfortable, plenty on street parking, breakfast was excellent we also had dinner it was fabulous the portions are huge so you might not need a starter, was excited to see 200 gins stocked but disappointed that not more of this is made inside the bar, the menu is tiny for gins, this could be a real big feature as they have some cracking ones definitely a missed opportunity, would recommend a stay here it’s lovely

Beautiful location- shame about the weather
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The guest door is handy for a late night stroll along the beach and village. The room had a nice big fan that came into use in the hot weather on arrival and plenty of storage. Recycled paper Bath mats are pretty cool and dry in a few hours so was able to get a few uses out of them. Only downsides was a suspicious orange stain on the duvet cover but was at our feet end and didn’t bother us and loud showers/ toilets so you can hear the other rooms if you listen carefully. The food is very nice and pricing is reasonable. Overall great hotel and restaurant and will definitely stay again

Had a deluxe sea view room, and the views are spectacular. As the staff serve in the restaurant and do check in, I didn't feel welcomed upon arrival as I took the staff away from restaurant service. I was asked to pay, when I had pre-paid and showed evidence to prove it. (the same had happened on my previous visit, and I had paid up. I then had to request a refund). The staff said that Expedia was down, so they couldn't check. I told them to do so, and then speak to me. I never heard anything else, and no apology either. The room had had a leak in the roof and tiles were stained, paper was peeling off the wall, and the ensuite shower room was narrow (a shower cubicle width) as it was shoehorned into an existing non-ensuite room. My previous sea view room had been better.

Book a sea view - worth the extra

Booked this hotel at the last minute as our planned stop in Aberdeen was scuppered with a mini lockdown being applied. Glad I did, as the view over the bay was wonderful including a yellow sandy beach, a wallowing seal and a watchful heron. Had a problem at check-in as I had prepaid, but the hotel couldn't find it, so took payment again. Was refunded the following day when I showed them my online credit card statement. Room looked like it had recently been refitted, and the bed was comfy. Had dinner in the restaurant, and prices were reasonable. The Balmoral Chicken was very tasty. The Scottish breakfast was filling and tasty, and it was nice to have a choice of breakfast rolls as an alternative. Free parking was off site, around the corner or in a layby opposite the hotel, and the road outside wasn't too busy. Happy to stay there again, when we are next in the area, and hopefully for more than one night.
