The staff were lovely , the food was fine , the room was nicely decorated etc.
However the room was freezing and the heat didn’t come on a few times when it was meant to.
It was 3c outside and on our first evening before dinner we sat with our coats on waiting for the heat to be fixed .
No heat came on the second morning at all and I had to phone reception at 8.30 to ask for it be reset .
Also the shower was lukewarm the first morning of our stay which also needed fixed.
Think the plumbing needs a bit of an overhaul !

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My only minor complaint was that the hotel had music on for the Saturday night and I found I could still hear it in my room quite late at night. Other than that, I couldn’t say a bad thing about the place. The staff were particularly welcoming and went out of their way to be of service. We would definitely return here.

Enjoyable stay.

Often eaten at Mulroy woods hotel( and the Milford Inn as it used to named) in the past upon visits to Donegal but this is the first time I have stayed at the hotel.I enjoyed my stay even though it was only for one night and will not hesitate but to stay again when next I visit the area. Every aspect of my visit was first class.

Super base on Fanad Peninsula.

Hotel was perfect base for exploring Fanad. Lovely room and apart from hearing a fan in another room, it was very quiet during the night. Lovely staff- at reception and at breakfast. (Didn’t meet bar staff as we went out for the evening)

Spoiled what ought to have been a great stay

Hotel was overrun with girls and their mothers vying for places in a ballet competition. They took up all the passageway leading to the accommodation wing and also cluttered the area adjacent to the restaurant. It was difficult to move luggage through this impasse and they left a mess of drink containers when they finally left.
The first room assigned to us was unacceptable. We booked as a family of 4 adults, not 2 adults plus 2 children. This was resolved by reception but should not have occurred in the first instance.
Service in the restaurant was poor - we waited for 25 minutes after requesting our check, then when again ignored we went to the bar to pay it.
Overnight a loud party took place until after 2am, accompanied by distressing screams.
Breakfast the next morning was also chaotic- a tour group devoured most available food, running the lone waitress ragged demanding items be delivered. It was a blessing when they left, filling their bags as they departed.

Not what i expected.

The hotel itself was beautiful, the room we got was a large ground floor room, unfortunatly it was cold when we arrived, took a while for it to heat up. The shower water was freezing and would not heat up at all no matter what i tried.
We ate in the restaurant at the hotel. The staff were all over the place, kept forgetting about us. Noone came to take our order for atleast 15minutes until i called a girl over. The food took almost 45minutes to then arrive at the table. The food itself was beautiful and we could not fault that but the service let it down a bagfull.
Overall im not sure if i would stay there again.

There was only one small criticism.

Great location and great comfort.

Found this gem when looking for hotels near Doolin. We wantes to be in the area for the Cliffs of Moher. The hotel was easily found as there were signs all over town point to The direction. Once at the hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us our wonderful accommodation. Breakfast was set up in their restaurant beautifully. Obvious choice was the Irish breakfast made to order. Brilliant.

Sweet place to stay and eat

The staff was welcoming, we had the best restaurant meal in the last two weeks touring Eire. Amazing breakfast in the morning.

Staff was extremely accommodating.

Staff was extremely accommodating when a booking error, not of their making, left me without a room while I was traveling in an emergency situation.

Lovely hotel

Attended a wedding. Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff and food was delicious. I would describe it as a very relaxing hotel. Will definitely visit with my family in tow this time.
