I chose this hotel because I thought they offered a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, but it turns out they only provide a shuttle from the hotel to the airport at certain hours. Everything was wonderful with the one exception that they no longer pick up guests at the airport, only drop off. They said there were too many no prior call cancellations causing extra time and expense for drivers. To which I’d only suggest that they require credit card to confirm. No shos would still get charged. .

Yes, we were early but most hotels will help you check in a little early. When 3 pm got there they were checking in guest which just arrived. Restaurant doesn’t really exist. Room was very nice but hotel not built well. We could hear people walking around and talking all night. Airport shuttle was worthless. Did not run on a good consistent schedule and charged for more than one bag. Cheaper and more convenient to take an uber.

On top of that, I don’t think they have ever clean the outside of the windows.

They only got a 2 because the room was spacious, along with the bathroom.

The bad -- restaurants
No restaurants within walking distance that would serve dinner, except going to the Sheraton Hotel across the street, which is a sister hotel with the same owner. You can also buy food at the nearby 7-11.
The worse -- shuttle services
The hotel advertised free shuttle service, but the frequency is a joke! It only provides drop offs before 10:00 am, and pick up service doesn't start until 4:20pm. If you arrive in the morning or depart in the evening, you are on your own (unless you want to spend hours at the airport or train station). What is worse is that this info was not provided at the time of booking (or at least indicates \"limited frequency\" ). Further more, the shuttle service is provided by the same vehicles and drivers from Sheraton, which runs every 1.5 hr. through out the day but only selected runs are provided to Holiday Inn guests).
The worst -- Unorganized management:
We requested late check out for 12:00, and got a call from the front desk at 11:45 telling us it was time to check out (later she said that she didn't see the late check out request).
I booked the shuttle service to be picked up at the airport. When I got on the shuttle, the driver said the info he received was to pick me up at the train station. Luckily he had another guest to be picked up at the airport, otherwise he would not have made a stop at the airport and I would be screwed!

The airport shuttle service was somewhat concerns to us. When we booked the service in the front desk, the staff requested us to pay for 2 luggage's fees, saying this is based on the hotel policy. We read the policy, it indicates each person allows one luggage for free, but not counting the personal carry-on. My wife and I had \"4\" luggage: 2 check-in size and 2 small boxes that we carry onto the plan. With a little arguments, we finally given free for bring the carry-on boxes. The experiences was not good.

Bedroom had a night light under the night stand which could not be turn off. I had to stuff my pillows there so that I could sleep as it was quite bright and I need total darkness when sleeping.
There was also a red night light in the entryway that could not be turn off… not as bright as the other one but could not block that one as it was on the ceiling.
For me to stay there again the 2 night light issues would need to have a switch to turn off

Since it’s near TPE, there are some very irritating blue lights just outside the window of the room that if you don’t shut your blinds, the room will be lit up. Better that than a plane flying to low. I assume it is for that.

Our high floor King room was beautiful. Spacious, clean and comfortable. The free shuttle is a little confusing to book. I reserved the free shuttle to AND from the hotel about a week in advance. They did not send any kind of confirmation, nor give information on where to meet the shuttle. And when the time had come, they only booked me for shuttle to the airport. Which was unfortunate because Ubers were $50USD for a 5 min drive.

There were other guests (I’m assuming) that were drinking and smoking right in front of the left side entry door. They were trying to get us to interact with them but you could tell they were intoxicated. I was really surprised the staff had not moved them or asked them to leave. I’m sure this was a one off mistake as the rest of the hotel was amazing, clean and comfortable. The shuttle to the airport was easy sort out and the driver knew how to quickly and safely navigate the craziness of the Taoyuan airport. I will definitely stay there when I pass through again.

The free shuttle only refers to the times given on website - from hotel to airport in the morning and from airport to hotel in the evening. There is very little in the area of the hotel- just a family mart across the road- but convenient location to the airport if you have a long transit. Staff were very polite and helpful! This is a new hotel with nice amenities. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the free shuttle to the Taoyuan airport. One minor complaint was when when turning the tap on high for filling the bathtub there were some sounds like the pipes were not full, but this didn’t impact the water pressure.

The room size is large. I'm all for Eco friendly and consciousness, but not having any soap by the sink is way overboard. No wash cloths, when you wash your hand, you have to get the liquid soap out of the shower.
If you want to have dinner, you have to go to the Sheraton Hotel next door.

It's close to the airport and the staff is helpful and friendly. There is also a shuttle service to the closest High Speed Rail Station, which is nice. Also the shower was very good. However, found items leftover from previous guests and the walls are SO THIN we could hear everything next door. We went there just to sleep after landing in the middle of the night and were woken up at 7am because of the neighbors. We stayed in lots of hotels during our trip and this one was the most expensive but not the most impressive.
