El hotel solo tenía desayuno, pero no proveía variedad / calidad. Al tener muchas opciones para comer cerca eso no era tan importante. Sin embargo, al solicitar lo necesario para el cuarto (ropa de cama y toallas) estaban limitados porque según el personal el hotel estaba lleno. Nice hotel for the price. Note that 24 hour shuttle advertised in Expedia is NOT free. This was not disclosed to us until we arrived at the airport. This may be more an issue of Expedia than the hotel.

They did not change any bath towels, and the AC was not working on the first day. They changed the room, but there were no bath towels in the second room either. Breakfast was very poor, and they did not provide any water bottles.

This historic hotel is a bit dated but that's the whole point of a historic landmark! The rooms are super spacious and clean. The staff was professional and warm. This hotel is on Duarte and El Conde, which is where the tourists action is! Great value for the price. If I could give feedback to Management, it would be to deodorize the entire property so it won't smell old. I only say that because that's a turn off for most tourist.

Very good location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The property has a beautiful, old world colonial style. My main disappointment is they advertised having a gym and a steam room, but both are closed indefinitely so the hotel Polacio SHOULD make this known to all potential guests before booking. I always look for hotels with some kind of gym facility, so their blatant dishonesty was not appreciated. Overall it has a really nice old world charm, central location and friendly staff and so I do recommend it.

Great old building that needs some love. All the outdoor areas need the floors cleaned and sealed new umbrellas installed and the pool area needs to be finished and spa repaired. My room was great loved it but the spa tub drain didn’t work and the on in the sink didn’t work either small leak in the toilet area. But I would stay again. The senior king suite is great. The property was old and running toilet and pool was very old and needed a cleaning. Luis the bellhop asked me for money as i walked out of the hotel on the street, he was acting as security for the parking garage. I found this to be rude and lack of training. In all my years this was a first and i will not be staying here again.

What I didn’t like was the new breakfast system. It was to be a buffet. Now they have a system in which the give guests a voucher they can use for breakfast. I dislike this method. Other than that, the hotel is amazing.

Wow. I'm ending a 4 day trip to Santo Domingo and it was amazing! This hotel is in the center of everything and walking distance to everything in the heart of Santo Domingo. The hotek and the area is very safe. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. I had room service everyday with fresh clean sheets and towels. I had a wonderful experience here and the next time I visit I will definitely be staying here.

When we first arrived we weren’t very impressed with the location but we then realized that we were actually very close to everything. There is a National supermarket right up the road that we went to several times. We walked everywhere throughout the colonial area. While there are many modern looking hotels here this was not one of them and I really liked that. It kept the essence of Spanish colonialism with heavy wooden doors, balconies, old art work and a beautiful atrium in the middle of the property. The beds are very clean however, the property could use some good upgrades such as in the bathrooms. Overall my experience was good.

This property is a very beautiful boutique hotel in la Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo. There is so much to do en la Zona Colonial. From the hotel everything in la Zona Colonial is walking distance. The hotel has a beautiful colonial look. Bedrooms also have a colonial feel and decorated as such which gives the room such a beautiful charm. The pool area is actually pretty nice. The picture on the pictures on the website doesn’t do it justice

Wonderful hotel. It's showing a few tarnishes but very clean and comfortable. Our room was large with a work area and great wifi. The decorum is very historic and eclectic and right in the heart of the colonial zone. Combined with price it would be tough to find better here.

I like the classic look of the hotel, the breakfast was good, staff was warm and friendly, you can walk anywhere around colonial area from the hotel, we walked even late at night, the only thing I didnt like but not a big deal is that we lost power a couple of times.
