This was by far the worst check-in experience I’ve had ever. I called the hotel just to confirm what name came through and the so-called manager answered super rudely didn’t even give me a chance to explain what I was looking for, and he said you have to contact where you booked through. That is no way to speak to someone who’s actually booking for services with you. I then called Expedia customer service and the agent was able to have the name change reflect on their system and mentioned they sent over an email to the facility that way they can be aware. when we arrive for the check-in process he was again super rude stating that the name change had not came through. He was extremely irritated and said whatever we had to do we had to do it outside and he kicked us out of the lobby. there are certain requirements that I believe being a hotel on Expedia should meet and customer service would definitely be something that we should be considered. I then contacted Expedia again and spoke to another representative and let him know what was going on with the hotel manager. The representative with Expedia stated they were sorry for the inconvenience and stated that they would be reaching out to the hotel once they spoke to the manager I was instructed by Expedia to go in side and everything should be OK now. When we walked in all of a sudden, the manager had changed his attitude and was now acting “nice” however we never received an apology for his rude behavior.

I have stayed there several times and my husband and I love it cause it very clean very clean rooms and they’re very close to stores the outlets food places.

Around midnight they were lots going on yelling fighting from couple rooms down. Yelling from outside. When normally it’s very peaceful quiet and to be very close to the freeway 101 can’t even hear the cars.

The day of checkout we were getting really annoyed. Housekeeping came at like 8 am when check out isn’t until 11 am. The front desk called at 10 am as check out isn’t until 11 am again… The area is super noisy so we kept getting woken up by cars honking, etc. If you're not checked out by 10:30 they’re already calling you again. The shower pressure was terrible, a lot of water kept getting out and soaked the floor, walls, etc. we had to keep asking for towels to dry it. We stayed here ultimately just to sleep as we had a party both weekend days and even the stay here to sleep wasn’t the best due to everything.

As soon as you walk in the room an overwhelming aroma will hit you but not in a good way. Had to put the air conditioning on full blast to have air circulating for it to be semi okay to be in the room. The “couch chair” had major black stains all over it. The roller chair had duck tape on the top of it. The closet space and shower needed a deep clean. The blackout curtains had holes in them so light shined through as soon as the sun came up. The mirror for the vanity was chipped in multiple places and the door to the bathroom had dents as if it was punched. Outside of the hotel seemed to be not a good neighborhood. The only reason why we stayed here was to be close to the Gilroy Gardens theme park. We will not be back to either place again…

Pleasantly surprised with this property. It is an older building, but everything else is good if not great. Even though the building itself is older, the room was clean and it had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, coffee, soap and shampoo. Towels wee nice and bright white. I would recommend this place. It is also located in a very nice area surrounded by great shopping.

The hotel manager only offered me one key even when I asked was there a second one because there were two adults staying in the room. The refrigerator in the room was dirty. There was also either a stain or dirt on one of the beds sheet set. We were too tired to debate it and the hotel staff didn’t seem super friendly like he would have resolved it so my daughter put another blanket that she had over it and slept on top of that. Convenient location next to other places, but it would do them some good to upgrade the property. It would more than likely attract lots more guests traveling from out of town or passing through.

We came in with my family late and the Motel Manager was waiting for us with a smile and because I am walking with a cane (between two spine surgeries) he was kindly gave us two rooms in the bottom. The rooms were very clean, and freshly renovated. We had a great experience!

Hair in the shower walls and when we turn water to shower it started clogging and there was hair before we even shower. Sink also didn't drain well. Bed was ok not good just ok to sleep. I'm not sure if I would stay here again, if no other hotel available I guess then yes I would stay here.

My sister was with us and the guy at the counter was rude about her being charged a $10 extra fee since we didn’t know if she was going to be coming up north with us. On the website it said children 17 and under are free. Also said extra adult is $5 a person. When brought up to the attention of the guy at the front he was rude and brushed it off saying those fees don’t apply to us. That’s a third party.
The room also had not been fully looked over. The refrigerator had an old water bottle and the bathroom did not have a mat. It was slippery.

The gentlemen at check in seemed to be on a mission to misunderstand what I was saying. Probably the RUDEST manager I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. You’re better off paying an extra $10/night for the comfort in that’s literally across the street. Manager here lied straight to my face and refused to tell me his name until I whipped out my camera and asked him why. No fire alarms in the rooms or escape route procedures posted, which is against fire code in California. This place is a dump as well, the paint is ripped off the bathroom door, the floors and walls were scuffed and dirty, the desks were in busted condition and so were the side tables. Housekeeping woke me up promptly in the morning offering linens I didn’t ask for.

My husband and I work weekends in the area through September and October. Its been hard to find a clean, affordable, and most of all quiet hotel. I'm so impressed with Gilroy Inn. Not only did we get full nights of sleep (able to crash at 9pm and be up by 5:30am without interruptions) We have plans to stay here for the remaining 2 weekends and will certainly choose this hotel next year. The hotel is old. It is an old Motel 6. However, the rooms were clean, A/C worked, nice television, newer furniture, and a nice bed, made the stay worthwhile. There is an In N Out, Denneys, Black Bear, and a 76 mini mart all within a short walking distance. We enjoyed our stay.

I have stayed here twice, each time just one night on a longer family trip. I went back because it is convenient and decent. A small clean room that is pretty quiet. The person working the desk was very nice. I was looking to stay at other hotels but was dissuaded by poor reviews. I stayed on the top floor the first time. The room was clean but the carpet needed deep cleaning (which is typical of all hotels, even expensive ones). Then I had the bottom floor and it didn't have carpet, which was appreciated. If you just need a place to sleep, don't hesitate to stay here.
