Absolutely recommend to anyone.

The hotel was beautiful and generally well maintained. The rooms are fantastic, modern clean enough and the beds are comfortable. Only issue we had was a lot of dust above the led lighting board things in the wall and the shower silicon could have done with replacing. But the hotel resolved it instantly, we returned to a room that was absolutely immaculate (yes I’m probably being too fussy but in a clean freak)

Overcrowded at every level

The hotel has 2 mid sized and 2 kids pools outdoors, and a large pool indoors. The whole pool area was packed from about 9am to 530pm, mid-August high season of course. The restaurant buffet had a wide choice but most of the cooking was average, with eggs swimming in oil and fish completely overcooked, for example. Evening entertainment at the bar, like a live abba concert, drew a big crowd. We had two rooms and were not allowed to extend check out by 30mn for either of them. The hotel has a parking at eur20 per night but it was sold out, apparently well ahead of our arrival. 2 open air parking lots within 3mn and 7mn walk were also full. The beaches were packed as well, 4 rows of people at sea, 6 rows on the beach. Nearby restaurants varied from good to great. If we come back, it wont be in August.

This was a really lovely hotel, cleanliness was excellent and the staff efficient and friendly. There was a very good choice of food for breakfast and the dinner choice was, on the whole, very good also - some evenings better than others. It is a great choice for families with plenty of facilities and clubs to keep the children busy .

Great hotel but very busy. Nice breakfast buffet. Room was ideal with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool.
Staff hard working especially at dinner times. Prices not too bad in the hotel for drinks.
One issue was residents claiming the sun beds early every morning. No monitoring of this issue. Some beds left for hours on end.

rooms are nice and modern, We had a triple room. Great shower, we asked for extra blankets and received duvets, very happy. love that you can connect to Netflix Disney Spotify on the tv. Room came with kettle and you can ask reception to access ironing room. Great easy setup, I ironed a bunch of things while my family enjoyed the indoor pool.

Pools were not too cold, the indoor pool was our favourite. Indoor jacuzzi is great for families, many times it was empty.

The spa is completely separate, we didn't use it as the indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect for us.

There were always loungers free, the sun moves around the hotel, which forces people to move. The different pool areas make it feel quieter than it is.

Love the water refill stations, 2 outside and at the bars.

Food: we had breakfast only, enjoyable, no hot chocolate but usual tea coffee and herbal teas.
daily beans omelette, sausages bacon,
bread changes simetimes they had burgers churros, pancakes. yoghurt flavour changes daily, nice toppings for cereal and muesli. Gluten free options readily available. lots of variety.
Good pool menu. Nice cocktails. Tried the chicken wings, nice. Best ceasar salad I have EVER had! chips really nice, but pizza was a bit doughy.

Very nice property most of the staff where lovely reception staff where great very nice and very helpful. Staff in the Buffett area where great and very well ran the manager was very friendly, cleaners where nice we had limited contact with them, bar staff and staff in the lunch type area where ok but not as good as the reception staff or Buffett staff where not as friendly or as helpful. The gym area is ok very very limited could be better. Rooms are nice shower is very good we had an issue with the bed very noisy but staff sorted that very quickly. Entertainment was ok nothing to right home about. Location is decent if your ok walking it’s a short walk to the main strip about 15 mins from the beach it’s ok if your fit to walk. The weather was hotter then normal I think so bare that in mind. There’s a shop a short walk around the corner. Buffett food was very nice. The bed was small for two adults bare that in mind when booking. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone I would stay here again. For me only thing I’d like is a better gym and better air con in the gym, if I stayed again o would upgrade my room to get a bigger bed. We also used the spa that was decent there’s an extra charge of €10 for 75mins but was worth it.

Very nice property with 10 minutes access to shopping area, restaurants and beach. The buffet was lavish with amazing pools on offer. Spa is paid if required and have live entertainment in the evening. Staff were very kind especially Kim from reception and ne gentleman who manages buffet restaurant. Hotel needs to work on sound proofing rooms better.

Great week long stay, there’s multiple pools and plenty of sun beds available at any time during the day. Unfortunately we had rain a few days but we were able to utilise the spa which includes a heated indoor pool with sauna and steam room. Only booked for breakfast included so can’t comment on other meals but the food was good and convenient but still the typical breakfast buffet. Has a good range of facilities and is in a good area as it is close to the beach and surrounding shops and restaurants.

We stayed in April 2024, getting two rooms for a family of five. Found the hotel to be very clean, with staff on reception and cleaners very pleasant. We booked breakfast too, which was fine for the price. A good selection, a bit of variety too. The only real negative from the stay was the staff in the dining room, we were met abruptly on more than one occasion and felt singled out as no one else was asked for room numbers or booking slips but we were almost every day. They cleared plates almost as you were still eating the last bite too, so everything felt so rushed. Which was unnecessary and it was never full.

But, that said... Would we return? Yes. Kids loved the pools and the entertainment staff were excellent.

Food in the cafe during the day was pretty poor, but we found good food in general hard to come back in Salou.

Food selection was varied every day and drinks always of good quality including premium brands. Rooms functional and clean but need an upgrade. Location of the hotel great for walking to shops and beach. Portaventura around 10 euros each way in a taxi. Me and my daughter had a good time and would return back to this hotel when we visit the theme park again

The beds in this hotel need a facelift. The air conditioning needs revision as it did not work very well. Cleanness of the bathrooms should be more rigorous, the Covid-19 makes it necessary. Excellent dinner buffet and breakfast too; both have a correct value for its price.

Family suites was quite new building, so it was in good shape. Pool area was great, also good breakfast and dinner.

During our stay weather was not so good, so swimming was not an option (of course inside pool, but that was quite small).

A lot of kids in hotel, from toddlers to teenagers, in other words a lot of noise. Soundproofing was not good. Corridors/hallways with hard surfaces does not prevent sounds at all. Thin doors. Nearby street include bars/nightclubs, specially weekends noisy.

Floors in room quite dirty even after cleaning. Balcony door locks did not work.

At check in was allocated a room in the new family suites building. Room was great, seperate bedroom, mini kitchen area, modern bathroom and generally modern feel with 2 patio doors and large balcony overlooking pool. Most guests seemed to be all inclusive but were were just b&b. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice to suit everyone. Drinks in the bar were reasonable for alcohol but expensive for soft drinks. Plenty of pools and loungers however there are far too many trees around the pools and therefore the loungers are in the shade most of the day and unless you move a mlion times you struggle to get sun through the day. The trees absolutely need to go!! As a result we went to the beach most days. Hotel handy for bars and restaurants and also great to catch bus for visiting surrounding areas such as Tarragona. It was our anniversary and hotel sent a bottle of cava up on our first day which was a lovely touch. All in all I woukdbg hesitate to recommend this hotel ... just needs to sort the trees out!!

Stayed here for a week at the start of September! Beautiful hotel, staff were brilliant! Something on each night in the hotel! Spa was amazing! Food was okay, although very repetitive and very little flavour, almost the same stuff every night to choose from, we ended up going out for dinner after night 3 for dinner as we were bored of the food by then. Very close to the beach and all shops and bars! Was only a short ride in a taxi to theme park.

We didn’t like the way the staff handled a complaint. They gave us single beds when we had booked and confirmed a double through Expedia. When I told them this, they acted as though my complaint was a hassle and I was being unreasonable. I was then told that booking a double on expedia is a request and ya never a confirmation even though I had an email confirming double bed we are a couple and two single beds wasn’t ideal on a romantic getaway. Also the morning we were checking out, our door was opened at 9:10 am without knocking while we were still in bed. Checkout is at 11am. It was disappointing. Overall because the staff was only kind when there were no complaints, and as soon as we had a complaint they were difficult and not accommodatI guess, I wouldn’t recommend Golden Salou. There are nicer hotels at the same price point closer to the beach. This hotel was crowded. The buffet was amazing on a side note and the hotel was very clean but again the customer service was not good.

Expedia charged me £385.61 but the hotel charged me £415 with no real reason.fridge didn't work for days. Food was not good and lukewarm with horrible coffee and tea forcing us to eat out even though we are very easy going and will normally find something to eat if there's a choice!!!

Found the receptionist very unfriendly and unwelcoming. She also strangely needed a hotels.com voucher even though i've never been requested this before.

As soon as we checked in to the room, we noticed an awful overpowering smell of cleaning chemicals which gave my wife and I a headache. We there requested to move rooms and were moved to another, which whilst didn't have the awful smell, clearly hadn't been cleaned well as there was dust and sand on the wardrobes and in the toilet. We tried to call reception but they're forever engaged so we went down again and asked them to get it cleaned whilst we were out.

They did give it a better clean but it makes you wonder why you need to make these sorts of basic requests.

The breakfast was good with a lot of variety and the pool games are fun but i wouldn't rate this hotel a 4* at all.

Hotel was booked as it wasn’t in a good location (10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants etc) and parking was free on the road outside. Bad points of our stay: room was not cleaned properly before we arrived or after our first night. We booked a pool view room but the reception stayed we hadn’t and it was a long argument before they gave us a ground floor room you could just about see the pool from. Breakfast buffet was however superb. On balance hotel was fine for what we wanted and reasonable for the price, if only the room was cleaned to a better standard and not leaving previous guests hairs or rubbish in the room we would happily recommend it and visit again.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the Golden Port. It is a little walk away from the main area of shops and restaurants but I liked that as it meant it was quiet. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and I was generally impressed with the breakfast buffet. The restaurant area is huge (so I'd recommend going down in a group, I found it tricky to locate my friend amongst the many tables!) and there was lots of variety on offer as well as freshly cooked omelettes and pancakes.
Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. I really liked the fact all rooms have a fridge, balcony and air con as standard.
There are a few different pools and loads of sun loungers and an outside pool bar. We didn't need to get down early to secure a sun lounger but that meant I had to be prepared to move loungers at various times as annoyingly lots of the pool area is in shade throughout the day. Those in the know grabbed the loungers which are in the sun all day pretty early. Don't think my friend was too impressed at my constant need to chase the sun!
We had a great time visiting Port Aventura (8 euros in a taxi), a day trip to Barcelona (around 20 euros return on the bus) and the water park in La Pineda. And enjoyed trying out a different restaurant and bar each night.
Overall, it's a really great hotel and would definitely recommend if you're looking to holiday in Salou.

Great Family Holiday overall

Having stayed at a Golden Hotel last year and enjoyed the experience, we came to Salou this time round. Everything was as good as last year but on a smaller scale which was not really a problem apart from our Family Room for 4 which was on the small side with two double beds and very limited wardrobe space. Otherwise, food, cleanliness, entertainment and staff were all good/very good.

Friendly Staff/ Great Hotel

I went there with my partner and we notice is a very family oriented hotel, maybe a bit too noisy for us that are not used on having kids around. But besides that the room was great and the staff was very friendly so we enjoyed our stay.

Another thing is the buffet, the options were great, they even offered to make a separate dish for my dinner as I am a vegetarian.

J'ai passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel ! Tout était parfaitement organisé, du check-in rapide à la qualité des prestations sur place.

La piscine est un vrai atout : propre, bien entretenue, avec suffisamment de transats pour tout le monde. Il y avait aussi un petit bar à proximité, parfait pour siroter un cocktail au soleil.

Les repas inclus étaient variés et délicieux. Chaque jour, le buffet proposait des plats frais et bien cuisinés, avec une belle sélection de spécialités locales et internationales. Mention spéciale pour les desserts faits maison !

L'hôtel, les chambres, les prestations sont conformes à la description, le personnel est aimable, les repas sont très bien ( moins de plat proposé que certains hôtels, qui permet une meilleure qualité des produits)
C'est une adresse que je conserve en mémoire, si je dois refaire un séjour à Salou c'est probablement Golden Port Salou & spa que je choisirais

Établissement un peu excentré. Chambres spacieuses et confortables. Personnel accueillant. Qualité et choix au top des repas. Climatisation réglée trop froide dans les parties communes, trop de choc thermique. Séjour gâché par des clients bruyants, sales et irrespectueux. Honteux de tels comportements

Veldig bra hotell med utrolig hyggelige og hjelpsomme ansatte. Rent,fine rom med balkonger,fint uteområde og god frokost.
Savner merking av allergener på frokosten.
Eneste ellers som trekker litt er at de tømmer glass og søppel som bråker sinnsykt på sen
kveld /natta,så var umulig å sove før kl. 1 og senere. Kjedelig om man har med barn.

Iso hotelli. 15 min kävely rannalta/ juna-asemalta. Useampi uima-allas jos hyvä sää paikat täyttyy nopeasti ( varaavat paikat jo ennen 7.00)
Hotellin hinnat ruokien/ juomien suhteen edulliset, halvemmat kuin rantapaikoissa. Aamupala täydellinen. Meillä pelkästään aamupala.

Excellent sejour

Comme les precedentes fois où nous nous sommes arrêtés dans cet hotel l'accueil fut parfait le sejour logement restauration sans remarque toujours aussi agréables. J'ai particulièrement apprécié de pouvoir garer ma voiture dans le parking en sous sol de l'hotel. De façon générale le personnel est aux petits soins pour ses clients en résumé un tres bon sejour.

Nous avons eu une chambre famille car nous étions avec 2 enfants du côté suite familiale. C'était parfait mais mon fils et sa femme ont pris une chambre seule c'était vraiment vétuste déçu pour notre fils.

Na 20 jaar weer eens naar zelfde hotel gegaan. Was vroeger perfect vakantiehotel, nu erg gedateerd. Lik verf door de kamers en dat was het.
Slechte bedden, badkamer verouderd.
Diner is buffet , maar absoluut goed. €15.00 pp incl karaf wijn. Ontbijt uitgebreid en goed.
Ben twee dagen geweest, was genoeg. Kamers zijn zeker geen **** waard.

El hotel me gustó porque tiene de todo y sobre todo disfrutamos la piscina con nuestro pequeño.
Lo que menos me gustó, es que había mucha gente, y no son conscientes del problema del covid ya que se olvidan de las distancias, las mascarillas, etc.

Parfait hormis pour la voiture

Tres bon séjour hors mis le fait qu'il n'y a pas de moyens pour garer un vehicule a l'intérieur de l'hotel. Ni parking interieur a l'hotel ni garage. Le seul moyen reste une rue tres passante. L'hotel est situé dans une zone tres urbanisée.
En dehors de cela sejour parfait personnel accueillant parlant le français.

Unas vacaciones estupendas

El hotel es espectacular. Tiene muchas piscinas. Resaltar la amabilidad de todo el personal, el punto fuerte del hotel. Los animadores muy divertidos. El buffet muy bueno y tanto metres cómo camareros y cocineros muy amables y simpáticos. Buenos protocolos anti covid. La limpieza muy buena. Los espectáculos de la noche muy amenos. Sin duda, recomiendo el hotel.
