Lovely welcome from Karen when we arrived. Lucky to get an upgrade to a larger room with a jacuzzi bath - which was lovely.
Beautiful old farm house set in the middle of a housing estate that has been built around it.
Decor a bit dated and in need of a refurb.
Lovely breakfast with good ingredients. Loved the homemade marmalade. 😋

Hosts were extremely friendly. Location was v good: hadn’t realised how close it was to Taunton. We parked in town centre before we went to the accommodation but maybe we should have left car here/saved money & walked in.

The property and our room were beautiful. The bed was comfortable and no detail was spared in what was made available for our convenience and comfort. Lovely stay at Yallands. The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful.
We were checked in quickly. They were very accommodating over our breakfast time as we needed an early start.
The room was lovely, beds were comfortable.
The breakfast in the morning was all freshly cooked to order, plenty of choice.
There was a pub very close by, which you could walk to if you wanted.
Would recommend and would stay here again.

Great farmhouse stay near Taunton

Arrived in the afternoon and was checked in right away; the room was beautiful and well appointed; big bathroom space, hot showers and a nice yard to read and chill in. The inn is close to Taunton downtown and all of its amenities. Breakfast was also delicious the next day and made to order. Two thumbs way up and would highly recommend!

Can't praise enough our stay at Yalland Farmhouse. Clean and big room.Very comfortable bed and nice linen.Quality of sleep was excellent- quiet residential area ,no noise except birds singing in the morning. Breakfast was really nice with plenty of everything - full English, fruits ,yogurt, cereal and homemade jam ( very nice). Hostess was very welcoming and helpful - even booked us dinner in local Italian. Would come again when in area.Would recommend.

A Hidden Gem

A one night stopover to visit my brother. Chose Yollands as it was close by and looked quite rustic. Getting to it was a little confusing as it is in a housing estate, all of the land around this farmhouse has been sold to developers over the years leaving this wonderful establishment a little isolated.
An enjoyable stay, very comfortable and excellent breakfast.

Home away from home

The owners make people feel very welcome and like one has come to another home. Rooms are furnished appropriately for a country farmhouse and everything you might want is available. Breakfast offerings are amazing and the smells coming from the kitchen made me wish I were a breakfast eater. Highly recommend this.

There was a lovely welcome from the owner when we arrived.
The room was very clean and comfortable. We thought there would be noise from the housing estate that surrounds the hotel, but was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was.
We were directed to the Cross Keys for an evening meal, easy to find with just a short walk.
For breakfast there was a selection of fruit salad, cereals, etc and there was an excellent menu for cooked food, freshly cooked to order.
If we are ever visiting the are again, we would definately stay there.

A simple little gem in quiet residential district

Only an overnight stay on business, but I spent a thoroughly pleasant one at Yallands farm. My room was clean and comfortable with view of roses in garden. Yallands is located in residential area so there are few amenities near by but landlady Karen pointed me in the direction of The Cross Keys which is a short walk and I had good meal and a pint there. Breakfast in the morning was great. All in all quite a surprise this one! Chris & Karen deserve praise for their professional but warm and human welcome. I was very impressed.

I needed to be in Taunton early bank holiday Monday and stayed at this lovely b&b in an old but modern farmhouse the night before, owners friendly and explained the free wifi and local map and local area to me , in private housing estate but off road private parking and felt safe as travelling alone . Breakfast great too

A Gem of a B&B in an unlikely setting. Set amongst a modern housing estate this original farmhouse provides all the charm and feeling of a rural retreat, with little impact from its surroundings. Lovely and attentive owners and the most comfortable of single beds in the large 'single' room.
Perfect for both business and pleasure.

You will need a satnav to locate Yallands Farmhouse, which is situated in the middle of a private housing estate, but once there you will be greeted with a warm welcome and perfect B & B facilities. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the bed massively comfortable, and the breakfast home made/cooked. There is parking for 8/10 vehicles and the location is roughly ten minutes drive into Taunton itself. A very convenient location, in fact.

This is a delightful place to stay. The house is a converted farmhouse with the usual architectural joyThe parking feels safe. There is a lovely garden. We had a very comfortable bed with good pillows and a duvet and it was clean. I would certainly give it top rating.

My Colleague and I had travelled from Manchester where we had been staying at the Picadilly Hilton for the previous two days.When we arrived at the Yallands we were warmly greated and shown to our comfortable and clean rooms.The following Morning we had the fantastic Farmhouse breakfast which is HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!! I know that the two places we had stayed are in different catagories but given the choice,I would stay here! Highly reccomended!

This is a nice little b&b tucked away on a housing estate, but you wouldn't know it once your in the grounds. Nice single room very clean and decent wifi. Shame there is a bath and hand held shower rather then a proper shower but for one night that was fine. Superior breakfast with decent bacon sets you up for the day

Charming place in unusual location

In an unlikely setting, in an area of Taunton now a mix of housing estate and small industrial units, Yallands nonetheless retains the characteristics of a farmhouse, as it originally was before the farmer sold off his land to developers. The building itself is listed, hence its survival after the sale. It is shielded all round by trees and is quite peaceful. Inside it is very comfortable and well appointed. Excellent breakfast served by welcoming hosts. Will book again if in the area.

A Home Away from Home

Yalland's Farmhouse is a wonderful B&B in an old farmhouse that has now been surrounded by housing development. Yet, once you drive between the old stone gates and into their driveway all you see is the old stone barn, farmhouse, and lovely garden and orchard. The rooms are clean, furnished with comfortable beds, and the decor enhances the farmhouse feel. Our room had a new ensuite bathroom with shower. A delicious cooked breakfast is available and is served in a cozy, sunny room overlooking the garden area. The owners immediately make one feel welcome and are ready to provide information about the area if asked. The Staplegrove location is immediately outside Taunton off the A358. From here there are numerous day trips that can be made--Exmore, the Bristol Channel, Exeter, Lyme Regis to name only a few. This will be my home away from home whenever I am in the Taunton area.

Friendly B&B close to town

Very helpful and hospitable hosts. Rooms were all clean tidy and comfortable. This is a character property which makes a stay all the more enjoyable. I would stay again rather than stay in a chain hotel. Good value for money.
