This is an older but very well maintained property in town. Terminal 21 is right down the street and the beach is only about a 10 minute ride away. I really like this place because of its central location and reasonable price. The place is clean, the breakfast is decent and the staff is great.

I've stayed at Mantra Pura numerous times, but it's really gone downhill. Shower water either scolding or freezing, no middle ground, and the shower head wasn't stable, it kept bizarrely twisting around when on. The safe didn't work, the breakfast was bland, the Chinese tourists at the breakfast buffet deplorable although that's not on the hotel you should be aware its mostly Chinese tour groups that stay here. Pool is still nice and a lot of sun. Gym equipment falling apart, however. All in all: the are better hotels in Pattaya for less money.

I stayed here for 7 days.

The room was spacious and comfortable but quite noisy (on main road).

The pool looked spectacular but the water quality was poor. Actually, very acidic. I informed staff and the water quality may have improved slightly but still no where near good.

Breakfast was plentiful but COLD. The breakfast buffet was set up nicely in modern Bain Marie type containers but the burners were covered in foil so they could not be used. Breakfast may have been ok T 7am but when it closed ar 11am it was disgusting.

The eggs were cooked in advance and left sitting forever - yuk.

One young member of the breakfast staff was smiley and helpful. The remaining 6 or 7 were miserable sad sacks. A smile would have broken their faces. A poor effort.

AVOID, IF YOU'RE SMART

On checking in we were informed that the swimming pool ( one of the main reasons for our holiday ) was being renovated for three months and was therefore not available for the duration of our vacation. By the third night my husband was covered in insect bites which initially we put down to mosquitos, but we then saw another room being fumigated so we concluded that there is a problem with bed bugs . One day , the lift was out of service so we had to use the stairs ( our room was fourth floor ) All in all we were totally underwhelmed with this poor hotel .

It's pretty nice hotel but if you are a party person going back to the hotel a bit late, it's pretty hard to get there So, make sure you pick a hotel card with Thai address on it to show the taxi drivers. I don't mind to book there one more time.

Everything looks old and sad

We got to the standard room and the room was pretty tiny and the building was in the back, which was unpleasant and it did not look safe! The TV cable was terrible to watch because of the bad reception so we asked them to fix, but nobody showed up and said nothing--I guess that was the easiest way to solve the problem by letting the customers give up and say \"Whatever!\" This hotel won't get our money again and also it's not recommended to anyone. There are million of better hotels in Pattaya so go somewhere else and you'll be relaxed!

Nice Hotel.. Shame the food has deteriorated..

Stayed there for many years now. Really good hotel for money but breakfasts just not good enough these days.

Unfortunately this will be our last stay.
The hotel seems to be satisfying the coach trip markets these days.
Such a shame, food warmer lids all left up and food quality not up to par with other L.K. Hotels.

Initial room that was allocated was pathetic. Dirty and even the linen looked well used and faded. The situation was corrected when I complained and was re booked to another room which was much better however the toilets were not clean and the sink was leaking through out my stay.

I booked for triple room which 3 of us stayed there. Room is big, bed are comfortable. The pool is good lots of shade but no f&b serve. Anyway we managed to get drinks from outside and the staffs very kind to get us the glasses. Breakfast is nice.

Very good value for money.

Hotel is good - clean rooms, VERY NICE breakfast with big choice of food and drinks, very polite staff, undercover secure parking for motorbikes. Very big and clean swimming pool with comfortable sitting and complementary towels. 24 hours reception with good English.
Rooms a bit small and big roads are close, but it is quiet at night.
Very good value for money.

First time in Thailand - Pattaya

Positive note is that motel is on the Baht Bus route heading into town (hustle and bustle/night life). Although a change of taxi is required once reaching the roundabout to head back to motel on North Pattaya Road. 20Baht per ride.
Rain forest shower heads are clogged up and dont deliver even or good flow of water. When I requested this fixed, the maintenance person simply switched water supply over to hand held head (dodgy).
If I had my time over, I would of shelled out for a ground floor pool room (for convenience sake).
I had 4 days where my air con wasn't working 29°C became hard to handle. I was shifted to another room when maintenance (engineer) was unable to fix.
While I believe and saw the grass roots staff were diligent in their work; and my heart goes out to them.
Like any place of business; management, management, management! Cutting corners will always be noticed by the paying customer.
After two weeks in Thailand (same motel) I saw comparable accommodation and feel Mantra Pure to be slightly overpriced for their star rating and quality of room facility.
Next trip I'll online book maximum of two nights and then physically inspect longer term arrangements for quality and price.

Location: is ok, 15 mins walk to supermarket or massage place.
Room condition: Rusted tap and rain-shower-head; relatively small sink in the bathroom that needs you to lean forward further in order not to get wet, and water spills all over the counter easily because of this too; PTFE seal tape is visible between the pipe and the wall; nearly mal-function door lock that requires extra force to lock.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Prior to departure we sent them mails to accomodate us in the main building (good pool view). They never bothered to reply even once. When reached there we were allotted in the side building , from where the balcony view was not as good. When we checked ,the main building was almost vaccant. Still, the rooms were comfy and clean. The pool was excellent. Big size and clean water. Service was average. Not much of variety for veg food in the restaurant. Only bread butter and juice.One of the bedsheet of our room was stained somehow, which could have easily be dry cleaned. But they insisit on paying for a new one. What could have been a max 100 baht expense, turn out be 600 bucks. Guess They never miss a chance to scalp some extra.

no sauna

i could not find the sauna/steam room as advertised. the staff do not speak much english so they were of little help. there is a spa in a separate building that provided thai massage in a cosy environment, but still no steam facilities. my room, which was in the fourth building that housed the restaurant, was infested with mosquitoes despite keeping the balcony and bathroom doors closed at all times. no toothbrush and toothpaste provided. overall a decent but not fantastic stay for the price paid.

Fabulous Stay

We had a super stay at this hotel.
The pool is massive and the facilities are very good.
Staff were really helpful, we did have a problem as our son was not included in their details for a breakfast.
The manager could see it was not our fault and honoured the breakfasts for us all.
The buffet breakfast is one of the best you will ever encounter.
The rooms were really good.
We were in the most basic rooms on the roadside block and these were fine. Very well appointed rooms.
The only criticism I would level is that a sauna was advertised and there isn`t one.
We have already booked a return visit...

Nice hotel, good BF, at good price

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights during the Honda LPGA (20-23 Feb). The room was very nice & comfortable. It had a nice balcony overlooking the pool, which was very attractive ,however there weren't any balcony chairs, only a large Thai style sitting bed which was in poor cndition. Also, the bathroom floor would fill with water after a shower & would not drain, so you would be standing in water which made the floor slippery. The front desk did send in staff to clean & dry the floor when requested.
The buffet breakfast was very good & offered a good variety of choices. The location was a bit far from the beach & the main tourist spots but we were not there for Pattaya's infamous activities & we have a car anyway. There were the 10 baht buses passing in front of the hotel if you don't want to walk. Apart from the few minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel as it was much cheaper than the similar rated hotels close to the Beach Road, which is not any advantage. All hotel staff we dealt with were helpful and pleasant.

This hotel has a nice pool, however there is no sauna although it said on hotels.com there was one.

The rooms are big and the beds are nice, but the shower is not very clean and the sink has ants.

The people working there were all very different, some were very nice, others rude. Overall the staff is disorganized: you order food they bring you a bag with the order but forget the plates and silverwear.

However, it was cheaper than most hotels in the area, yet it still provided comfort.

Fantastic Hotel

Perfect stay at this hotel.
The staff were really helpful when you needed anything, if you didn`t they left you to it.
The hotel was undergoing a full program of decoration and renovation, our bathroom was brand new and the pool had been laid with ew decking.
The breakfast was one of the most comprehensive I have seen.
I have seen some other reviews and am amazed these people can`t live in the real world.
Of course the hotel is away from the action and the beach the map shows you that.
It`s on the corner of two main roads in Pattaya really near a Tesco 7 / 11 and a Family Mart.
It only takes 15 mins to walk tothe dolphin roundabout..
The only fault I could see was that the htel was supposed to have a sauna and there was`nt one.
Don`t listen to the bad reviews I would gladly stay anytime.

Great choice

Location is far enough away from the beach and red light district that it is fairly quiet considering. Also, they have a great pool. They provide a means of making your own coffee if you wake up before the restaurants are open. This seemed rare in Thailand and I for one appreciated it. There is no tub, but the shower was awesome. I liked this hotel. If you know how to jump on the truck taxis it only costs you 10 baht (about 35 cents) for a ride.

This has to be the worse hotel I have ever stayed at.....and I have stayed at some bad ones. The location is horrible and not convenient to anything. The neighborhood is not safe. The room was tiny with NO amenities. To get to balcony (which was 2ft x 3ft) I had to duck my head to avoid the air conditioner. Even though I had a 8 day non-refundable reservation, I left after one day and moved to a different hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason.

At time of booking i saw pics f hotel,,,but its totally different as he look like in net website !!!1) First of all the major drawback was ITS SO FAR AWAY FROW PATTAYA BEACH- which is main place for all tourists in pattaya 2)Hotel staff didn;t understand English,,all thai staff, very difficulty in communication. 3) Rooms are not as much as good u pay for it,,,mean no value of money...so i suggest all my tourist friends to stay near pattaya beach coz there are so many hotels with gud price n quality.......M so disappointed from my stay in mantra pura resort !!!

Its quite a distance away from the happenings and Jomtien beach, this hotel is located at North Pattaya. Its perfect if you are looking for a quiet place to relax. Take a taxi to the central/Jomtien beach if you feel like getting into the crowd (But never pay more than 100baht per journey).
The hotel itself is pretty well maintained and clean, from the reception to the pool and sauna.
Staff are helpful even though they can really speak very fluent english. Talk slowly to them, and you still get what you want. I had some problem with the air-con making noises, and they immediately sent someone to check and solved it.

Dont stay here Mantra Pura

My room had army ants every where, at night there were cockroaches in my bedroom and it was trully the worst hotel I have stayed in Pattaya.

Hotels.com should take it website to reduce reputation damage.

Management were poor to respond to my needs and complaints.

Nice Resort but a bit far from the Beach

I usually stay at the Marriott when I make trips to Thailand, but the Fee Paying Internet had kept me cut off from the rest of the world during my stay, and things are too standardized, you find MomoCafes, and even the same room keys. You certainly will get an \"Expected\" Service standard at International brands, but why not trying something new? Matra Pura offered a discount, the Pool area is nice, surrounding an in-pool bar with different in-water seatings, and even a bubble massage area in the pool. The Pool never gets crowded.
The Rooms are beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a really nice balcony. Balconies are available in all the rooms, but the Superior room has a big low table ideal to take a nap or have an ice cold beer sitting on it. The room offers a kitchenette area with table ware available. Good enough to cut up fruits or for takaway dinners The hotel offers free covered parking too for your rented Car or Motorbike.
The down side to the Hotel is, as a local Thai Brand, maintenance is not up to standard. The bathroom looks great, but when you take your first shower you will notice the unthinkable water drainage design, with will eventually overflow from the showering area into the rest of the bathroom. I actually had my room changed once because the TV and the shower drainage wasn't really working. WiFi signal is provided from the Front Desk, so rooms higher up in the 5 storey building might get a weaker signal.
Th hotel is located around a 30min walk from the beach front, but Tuktuks and buses or even a rental motorbike could solve this easily. A Tesco Lotus megamart is just a block away.

Great hotel.
Met lots of people from nations all over the world
Rooms were nice and clean - linen and towels
changed daily Staff were very friendly and helpful
Great pool not too big but not too small with in-pool
bar and great barman Hotel is a 15 minute walk to the main Beach in Pattaya.
We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel Mantra Pura resort - Pattaya, Thailand

The hotel was lovely and the service was ok. I would recommend this hotel but with a few cautions. One being the location, it is a little far from the main attractions but this suited us as we do not like all the bars/nightlife in our doorstep anyway. The poolside service took a bit too long, I had to remind the desk of our order on our first day, a couple of times before we received it. If I had a complaint it would be the poolside area, it didn't have enough beds in a sunny position and the music from the bar was just awful, very heavy metal like and not to our liking at all, hence we did not spend much time by the pool. But overall a good stay for a couple of days.
