I arrived late and my key and instructions were left in the mailbox for me and the check in was a breeze next morning. The parking was easy and safe. The room was simplistic, but clean and it had a rather strong smell of Lysol and I missed a closet with hangers. The noise from the busy road woke me up every morning. The property around the outside of the motel was nice and clean, but the courtyard was kind of messy with ladders, tools and junk in it. The pool was closed by the Health Department. Not a fancy place, but it perfectly served my purpose. It is very close to the Mineral Spring and I will use them again. I can recommend this motel to anybody who doesn't have high expectations.

This place is very old and in desperate need of repair, and updating. Shower was nice, floors however were filthy, paint shabby, furniture dusty. Paper thin towels, nothing matched, lol. Pool was less than desirable. Its a jungle all around! Too much foliage! Saw two snakes! Door to room had gaps top & bottom, which lets in all the noise of the highway nearby (all night long!) Sliding glass doors and screen were difficult to operate. Didn't think much of puny lock! No hot tub like pictures indicate! Big disappointment, only place to stay though that isn't over $300!!! Or a complete crap hole!!

The overall motel was great like staying in Old Florida. Rooms were great shape. Clean and modernized. Pool was above standards. Rooms had anything you needed for a long stay kitchen wise. Each room had its own patio with great landscaping.

Walls are paper thin. If you stay here, just hope you don't get loud neighbors who argue and watch tv loudly until 1 in the morning. Also, because walls and doors are thin, you can hear car doors open and close in the parking lot all day and night. Each room had patio, but neighbors' voices carried from their patio into your room. Pool looked clean and refreshing.

I was a little concerned on my stay with the bad reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. These rooms are obviously been completely redone over brand new floors, mattress. Sheet was crisp and clean. Rooms weren obviously repainted with brand new Fuji air conditioners (nice and quiet) and updated bathroom. The pool was open and clean, but too cold for me to swim.

I was surprised at how spacious and equipped our room was. We actually had a full size refrigerator. The paint color left a little to be desired ( lime green), but other wise a very nice room. Had a courtyard room.
although there is still some visible damage ( broken taped sliding glass doors) ( still completely useable) from the last hurricane to damage North Port Fl in Sept 2022 :( . Seems like the county is overlooking a beautiful piece of historic Florida. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.

The room was not clean, sheets had literal stains on them. I had to wear shoes in the room so my feet would not turn black. Although a jacuzzi is advertised, it is no longer there. The pool looked nice and inviting, until we saw the department of health closure sign. There was no coffee pot in the room. The outdoor lights shine into the room, darker curtains would be a great help. The courtyard was beautiful though, it could use a barrier to stop lessen the road noise, like a bamboo wall to keep with the jungle type courtyard.

This motel has potential, if the room had a coffee maker and was clean it could have easily gotten 4 stars even with the pool being closed.

What you see in the photos is definitely not what you see once you arrive. It’s dirty, mold on walls, the pool was green, you could tell it had been months since it was cleaned. We had to cancel upon arrival because there was no way we could stay. Simply disgusting.

I just fell in love with this place. I thought it was so adorable. It was built in the 50s. It would look like it was from the 80s. The rooms were really cute. The pool was closed and the ice machine was broke due to the hurricane but the property is very well maintained very mature Landscaping rooms were clean. Parking was easy location was perfect. It was secluded yet. Everything was close by only 56 miles away. I would definitely stay there again. I would give it probably about 2 1/2 almost 3 stars. I just really enjoyed the experience. The warm mineral water spring is close by 20 minutes. Walking two minutes driving there’s good restaurants, dining bars, twisted fork, and Anna Maria oyster bar and Grill is close by. There’s a Publix Dollar tree all within I would say five or 6 mile radius I would have to say it’s a musty place. If you’re looking for adventure this is a good place to go yet. It’s peaceful and quiet.

On the positive side, the AC worked well and the mattress was comfortable. The room was tired and much worse condition than the pictures. It smelled moldy and all the linens were stained and worn.

The grounds are a bit of a disaster. There was lots of debris from previous renovations in the courtyard that had been there for a while. The hot tub was destroyed and the pool was a very deep shade of green. I think this could be a nice motel but it needs a lot of work.

The pool and spa are not working. The landscaping is not as beautiful as the pictures the website pictures They do have smart TV's but they are blocked. I had no ability to open any apps. The internet has a password but my iPhone said weak security, so I turned of my WiFi.
The staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean and large.

No comments.! This place needs major remodeling. Furnitures, windows have broken glass, dirty couch, chairs. Everything is very old. The only thing that was new was ac and cooling great. Not a vacation spot motel. I know they have been through a lot, major hirricanes in the past few years and a fire last year, but still they should replace those windows and put newer furnitures. It's a very old motel that could be transformed into a cozy place with some money and effort. Of course the pool is not working.

Overall property was in disrepair. Pool was empty. Spa was a green algae science experiment. Rooms were dated with very little upgrades. Cute vintage 1950s hotel within walking district of the actual warm springs. Must dip at the Springs, its rustoc no frills warm springs, but is thereaputic. Take a float, not for kids to run about in.

Now this hotel is a historic site, refurbished. Clean rooms. Cute remodel on bathroom. But dated curtains. Sadly NO HOT WATER and a disingenious response from owner. Internet failed, only good for phone, not laptop. Cute patio. Go if you want clean, streamlined, no frills.

Unfortunately, the photos in this listing are not accurate of what this place really looks like. We checked into our room and noticed immediately that there was some kind of dark substance smeared across the front of the comforter. I pulled the covers back and saw various types of hair, seemingly woven through the fibers of the sheets. there was a dead bug of some sort in the bathroom cabinet as well. We went to the front desk, told the older woman working up there, and she seemed very upset by this information and moved us to another room. We walked in there with hopes that it would be clean, and as I pulled the cover back, I saw what I think might have been dried blood on the side of the sheets. The pool and hot tub were out of order as well. There were potted plants on the shuffleboard court. The general air of the place was despair and despondency. The rooms have been repainted and decorated nicely, but I am really disturbed by the fact that they can’t seem to properly wash the sheets. They gave us a refund and we went on our way. I was very disappointed because the architectural style of this place is what drew me in.

The property was 3 mins to Warm Mineral Springs which was nice however the water was yellowish. When we arrived, thought the toilet was flushed but then when I flushed again it was really yellow. Turn the faucet and collect water in a cuo and it was also yellow. The staff told me it was because it is well water. I don't believe that. Also the ceiling had a littlw worm and some parts of it has some molds.. i understand this is an old motel but for the price thwy are aaking for it daily, they should at least maintain it in an acceptable condition.

Amazingly, no bugs!!!

Staff was very kind and accommodating. Room was bug free, but there was a damp rid on the closet shelf. Never a good sign. I was there 4 days and no housekeeping. They just changed out the towels daily. Shower needs to be recaulked, pretty gross. Counters in living area were dirty, kitchen had a dirty hotplate and a few odds and ends, all dirty. There were a few old condiment packets in the kitchen drawers. It is not a full kitchen. The tile floor was so dirty that my white socks and feet turned black. No mopping for sure. Full refrigerator was nice. I paid $179 per night and saw it for $159. I went there for business and only for the location which was close to where I needed to be. Also, water is very hard. Good water pressure and hot water, but it was 5 AM. The smart TV works but the WI-FI is terrible. No ice machine, no tech in the rooms such as any USB ports. Pictures on Hotel.com are outdated.

First the pictyres on thus property need to be updated. The pictures on expedia must have been from 15 years ago, when this area was booming with travelers. I was stranded in the area on my way to Tampa. One if the walls in the room is a sliding door, while nice in summer. It was freezing in January, the heat didnt work, so the host gave us a heater, but it only warmed the area it was in. The staff were nice, pictures need to be updated though.

When booking we selected a room with a king size bed however we were informed that the extended stay guests get first choice of rooms, and the rest of us get what is left over. Pool was closed hot tub was broken and most of the pool furniture was stacked up. There are no vending or ice machines, but they were kind enough to bring us a bag of ice free of charge. From now on I'll only book national brands that actually have what they claim to have along with a coffee pot. It's a shame it was let go to the point it's at now, but I will admit that the redecorated rooms do look great on the inside.

$100 For A Frat House?!?!?

The room was disgusting, uncleaned, everything in the room was stained, and the furniture should have been thrown out years ago. The walls were paper thin and the room next door partied until 3:30AM. We asked them many times to stop and the management did nothing. Trying to wash off a horrific night's sleep, the shower would not get warm water. We now have great story about the worst motel experience we have ever had, and I pray ever will have. The operators should be ashamed and embarrassed and close immediately for essential cleaning and renovations. I cannot believe we were charged for that experience.

I checked in to the hotel to find a bathroom from hell I have so many photos . Tg3y had food on the ceiling. Beds were nasty and dead bugs and live spiders. I brought this to management and was told off infront of the manager by the housekeeper who told me to leave. This place needs a health inspection. I emailed photos to yhe hotel and showed them to the front desk.... this place needs to be deeped cleaned.

The place does the trick for a place to stay with a full fridge and freezer, nice bathroom and cable TV. Pool was closed. I picked it for location to the ball park which worked perfect. Grocery store right across the street and bars/ restaurants very close by. I read the reviews by others and must comment that all these people who booked this hotel and expected a 4 or 5 star stay hotel and then complain like crazy should be called out for it. They booked for the cost Period! They are all CHEAP and like the saying goes. You don't get more then what you pay for. If this place had about a million to put into it, it would be off the charts cool and cost twice as much but its just a nice clean place to sleep and works for the price.

Smelled like mold, paid for 4 nights only stayed 1 night due to health risks, we did a wipe test with some tissue paper on the tile floors, tissue was black after only a few wipes. Bedding had human hair on pillows and blankets. We ended up leaving to a different hotel as this one was unlivable, We talked to front desk about this issue but they were not interested in hearing us out, we ended up paying for the full stay. I highly recommend booking something other than here.

This place was awful! The pictures are over 20 years old. The place is so run down it’s a hole in the wall. The pool is green and not in service. The rooms were dirty as can be floors were disgusting, hair on the toilet, shower had curly hairs all in it. We didn’t stay. We changed our clothes and left. I complained but it did no good.
