Booked a room with VIP Platinum status, got a room in which you enter through bathroom (literally, door opens to a sink, shower is on the right from the door). Bed is so small that my spouse and me could barely fit. There is no closet, just a bar with hangers behind the tv (!?)
Very unVIP experience.
Amazing location for shopping in Metzingen though.

There will be no one staffing the Hotel after business hours. Hotel will not refund your stay. The customer service after our experience was also a great disappointment. The usual pleasant stay but I’m not sure if they did some upgrading to the rooms during the last two years. The glass sliding door and the tiny bathroom was really something we are not comfortable with at all. Service was good as before. Free parking was available when we were there.

Pleasant stay.

The food at the restaurant below the hotel is amazing. The hotel is clean. Near to amenities and temperature is warm enough in the room as it was winter that we were there and outside was near 1degree Celsius. Overall stay was pleasant for the price we paid. If you drive, there are sufficient parking as well.

Don't stay here if you expect to sleep!

This was our worst night ever staying in a hotel. The hotel is approximately 20 feet from a church. The church rings it's bells every 15 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. We weren't able to get any sleep. When we mentioned it to the desk teller, her answer was \"Oh, yeah, church bells always ringing\" and then she smiled at us like it was nothing.

The property was really nice and we enjoyed our stay in the city but Unfortunately the receptionists were not professional and they missed our visit to the outlet city. Cause we woke up next morning and discovered we have to pay extra money and they are negotiating the amount!! From +100€ to +80€ without professional way.

Nice butique hotel conveniently located

Conveniently located nearby shopping and dining. The single room is small compared to the American Standards, I would say half the size of any standard Holiday Inn express. No closet available to hang your clothes, and dirty clothes you must put in your suitcase! For the rates charged I would have expected more! Parking is extra. The breakfast buffet is typical to most hotels in Germany and the restaurant menu limited in choices, but good. The location is quiet and cosy and the town of Metzinken is idyllic!

Great hotel to be close to the designer outlets

Nice hotel. Breakfast was really nice with lots of options, although in the morning it seemed incredibly busy with lots of people which made it hard to find a table or to just get to what you wanted. Out room was simple. The hotel is opposite a church which has bells going off regularly. It bothered me on the first night, but then I kept my window closed and the noise wasn't so loud.

A warm welcome

We were made so welcome with great humour and warmth. It makes all the difference! The room was small but very well appointed and perfectly adequate for our one-night stay.
I loved the funny little messages on toiletries - lovely little touches all over. We stayed there on new year's eve and they put two aspirins into our room for the painful morning after. Brilliant!

No Air Conditioning

Here is the good thing: It is very charming! Great decor inside and I am sure when the exterior is not under construction it is charming too. Here is the down side: THERE IS NO A/C! As an American, this is hard to overcome. There was no breeze when the windows are open plus it is loud with the restaurant open late. Allegedly, there are fans but they are out by the time we asked. Additionally, the complimentary drink coupons are trickier to use than you would think... At least for those of us with terrible German! (Present them at the beginning of your meal/sit-down, make sure what you order is included in the coupon, remind at the end.) Overall, not as enjoyable as I would have hoped... At least in the heat of summer with no drink and no cold air.

Perfect Hotel for Business or Pleasure

2nd generation family run business in the heart of Metzingen with very friendly and helpful staff and hands-on owner. The restaurant is first class with excellent local food and service - make a reservation once you check in - the place is very popular within the local community.
It also has a beautiful Beer Garden.

Very good option for doing some shopping

Hotel location is just a few meters away of the shopping area, which makes it really easy to go back and forth. Rooms are modern, nice decorated, with the average european size.
The restaurant is really very nice and above the standard.
Breakfast is not cheap, so the recommendation is to go out and as well within few meters there are very good options.

The room we got was quite boring, not worth what we paid for it. interior old, but big flat screen tv was a plus even if we didn't use it. Bathroom was good but no shampoo bottles only a squeeze on the shower wall.

We stayed there because it was convinient for the shopping and also because of their restaurant that was excellent.

Probably the worst scam on hotels.com. The room looks nothing the photos.
Garden furniture used as indoor furniture.
No climate-system – only a fan which made the indoor temperature higher than outdoor (hard to sleep in 27C).
The front desk service was horrible and aggressive - they even made up fees not existing on hotels.com.'
Our €263 reservation became €343 because they have the room we had booked originately.

Thanx for robbing us with additional fees and making us sick due to poor ventilation and cooling.

NEVER EVER this place again!

Wir haben in Metzingen einen Zwischenstopp gemacht um das Outlet-City zu besuchen. Waren nur eine Nacht da. War aber alles tiptop. Das Hotel befindet sich direkt neben den ersten Läden aber trotzdem ausserhalb an einer ruhigen Ecke.

Er de bange for køkkenchefen?

Hotllet er rigtig fint og har høj standard. Desværre fik vi ikke noget aftensmad på hotellet. Vi ankom 20.45 og køkkenet lukker 21.15. Receptionist var udmærket klar over, at vi ønskede at spise, men det tog en evighed at tjekke ind. Herefter hunsede personalet rundt med os, så vi fik indtryk af, at det var bedre, hvis vi spiste et andet sted. Vi forlod derfor restauranten og fandt et andet sted i byen. Det er den underligste restaurantoplevelse, jeg kan erindre. Vi bad om 2 minutters ekstra tid, men det kunne vi ikke få. De må være bange for køkkenchefen. Slet ikke ok. Det havde været passende med en undskyldning, men den kom aldrig.

Staff is super Nice and service minded.
Prices in the restaurant are a bit steep and service not always the quickest, but the food is generally good Quality.
Would be Nice with an option to take an early breakfast to Go, as we usually use this place as a stop-over on our travels back from or Down to our summer holiday in Italy/France, and typically leave very early to get a jump on traffic.

Das Hotel ist schön und gepflegt, es liegt zentral in der Stadt. Einige Elemente wie das weitgehend offene Bad mit Glasschiebetür und großem Fenster zum Zimmer hin waren allerdings gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die Rezeption ist leider nachts nicht besetzt, was Nachfragen schwierig macht. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, aber auch herausragend teuer. Insgesamt eine Empfehlung.

Wir waren nicht das erste Mal im Schwanen in Metzingen. Die Lage ist sehr gut mitten in der Stadt, der Ausbaustandard gut, die Restaurants bieten leckeres Essen, die Mitarbeitenden sind alle super freundlich. Wenn nicht gerade die Chefin mit ihrem fetten Verbrenner-SUV die E-Auto-Ladeplätze besetzt, ist alles super ;).

Sehr zentral, nettes Personal. Kleiner Parkplatz, aber mit breiten Parkflächen. Für das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis finde ich es zu teuer. Das kleine Hotelangebot regelt hier wohl die Preissetzung. Wir sind mit Hund gereist, es gab ein extra Hundebett im Zimmer.
