We stayed at this hotel for four nights, and the location is truly impeccable. The rooms and cleanliness were also quite reasonable for our stay. However, the experience was significantly marred by the incredibly impolite attitude of a male front desk staff member (short hair, wearing a grey suit). It was, unfortunately, the most unpleasant service experience we have ever had in Japan.

While we were waiting in the lobby with our luggage, he made eye contact with us but remained completely indifferent, offering no initiative to help. The situation worsened when we discussed the \"Airporter\" delivery service. Without clarifying the destination, he assumed we were sending bags to the airport and prepared a slip. When I explained that we needed a hotel-to-hotel transfer, he reacted with visible aggression—tearing up the paper and tossing it away right in front of me with an extremely annoyed and impatient expression.
While he did not say it out loud, his facial expressions and dramatic gestures made it very clear that he felt I was wasting his time. This level of visible hostility is something we have never encountered in all our trips to Japan. It is a shame because the other front desk staff were wonderful, patient, and polite, but this one individual’s behavior was completely unacceptable.

I liked the hotel it's close to the train station property is clean staff is nice. Room was little bit funny for me you have a sink in the room I have never seen it before and my first reaction was where is shower because after I got in the room I saw door on the right and was only toilet but there is another door on the left for shower not used of this kind of layout. Breakfast is mostly Asian food but there is bread too.

Very convenient location for Kyoto station. We used the shinkansen ro arrive in Kyoto and used the buses and jr lines extensively in Kyoto. Took a bus to Nagoya, the pickup point a 3 minute walk, if that, from the hotel. Virtually around the corner from the hotel, facing Kyoto station. The free welcome drinks from 1400 -2000 is a great relaxer after a day on your feet. Hotel laundry 300 yen for either washing or drying..pretty good.

Had higher expectations for this considering it was a 4-star hotel. Very clean and minimalistic. Loved the free tea for happy hour. Staff were helpful and super kind. The lobby area was beautiful and so was the room. Only complaint was no matter how long I waited, my sink never got warm or hot water. It was in fact ice cold and I came in December! There was no water or amenities in the room, amenities were downstairs and there just wasn’t any water. Very small room, almost didn’t have enough space and I don’t require a lot. Overall, decent place, just expected more for the price and 4-star rating.

This hotel is welcoming and bright from the arrival at Reception lobby.
Staff are helpful and kind in a natural way.
Free soft and alcohol drinks from afternoon until the evening.
Nice range of toiletries to choose from by reception desk.
Very nice room. Different layout to what I expected, more like a ryokan but smaller and within a modern structure. Very conveniently located at walking distance from Kyoto Station

THERE IS NO LAUNDRY FACILITY IN THE HOTEL!!! The laundry service won’t open on Sunday! While in the website advertised there’s laundry facility. The coin-laundry shop 10 minutes away. We stay in different hotels during our trip with about the same standard and advertising there are laundry facility or laundry machine in the room. Who needs laundry like me on Sunday will be hard. What’s a bummer!!!

Amazing location, welcoming staff, delicious breakfast! The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was great. We got the breakfast package which had great sashimi, Japanese and western options, pickles, salad bar, and sweets. The front desk and breakfast attendants were really nice and professional. Kyoto station is right around the corner which is a must.

If you are looking for a convenient clean and safe place to sleep this is it. Cons: very few bells and whistles, verysmall rooms, and prefabricated style bathrooms. Pros:The property is clean and staff is friendly, location is super convenient for train and subway travel, has coin laundry and breakfast. We are big people so a bit tight for us, but overall a great experience. Would recommend for anyone who is not giant and wants a basic place to satay.

Place was incredibly small, smaller than the rooms I’ve stayed in Tokyo. The sink was in the room and there was not even enough room to open the suitcase. The carpet had weird stains on it which I’m assuming is from the bathroom sink being in the room. The lobby had free drinks on the day which was nice. Over all I would not stay here again.

This hotel is conveniently located next to the Kyoto station, just a few steps from the main Kyoto train center.

Staff was quite courteous, attentive and helpful. Facilities are quite nice for the fare, they even have a dinner right next to the lobby. Rooms were spacious and clean, with all the regular amenities available. The view was great from the room we were provided since it gave us a sight of Kyoto station. Beds were super comfortable and the area was super quiet so good night sleeps were assured.

The highlight of this hotel is how close is to Kyoto station. In some other hotels I've stayed in Japan it was common to take a 10-15 minutes walk to reach the nearest train station (or the stations that would lead me to the places of my interests), but here I just a had to walk a couple of blocks to reach the main station and take train to any destination of my interest.

Highly recommended! Definitely will return here in my next trip to Kyoto!!!

Staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel is conveniently located. Comfortable lobby area with a nice selection of teas and apple juice provided free for guests. It’s just a 15 minute walk to the JR-West Office and the gate to the JR lines including Shinkansen and Haruka on the station second floor. The room was smaller and the mattress was at bit hard but can’t really complain because the room rate was unbelievably low and we only used it to sleep in. Great for the active traveler who is on a budget.

REF was only a 3-minute walk from the Kyoto Station. We loved the location despite the small/standard room we stayed at. We were able to tug away our luggage under the bed; however, walking space was limited. The staff was friendly and spoke English. Self-care amenities/essentials such as face wash, bath salt, toothbrush, comb, etc. are self-served by the lobby. Coin laundry room and vending machine located on the 6th Floor. Bright and clean lobby area with optional breakfast buffet. Provided towels each day which we really appreciated!

The most beautiful hotel in a perfect location. We were a little worried because of how cheap it was, but were pleasantly surprised. Our room was stunning, spacious (by Japanese standards) with a great layout and multi-use door to alter the bathroom size, and had wonderful amenities. We loved the ‘amenities bar’ in the lobby which allows for less waste. Super eco-friendly.
The tea bar, with hot and cold options, was a highlight for us that we utilised every afternoon - perfect for a quick pick me up between adventures. Breakfast wasn’t our style (seemed very seafood oriented) so we gave it a miss and walked 30 seconds to 7/11 instead (so convenient!).
You couldn’t get a better location if you tried. In a nice quiet side street, but a 1 minute walk to Kyoto station. Literally around the corner.
The staff were friendly, had great English (a huge bonus and so helpful for us), and went above and beyond to help in any way they could. They recognised guests and made it feel like you were returning home after a day out.
The whole hotel has a very calm feeling about it, which we both loved, and that helped us relax.
If I had to pick a downside, the only thing that comes to mind is the pillows - they were uncomfortable at first but once we were used to them, not a problem.

Really like the hotel. Close to everywhere, 5 minutes walk from Kyoto station (west gate exit), clean and you have everything you need. Nice hang out area downstairs. Room is basic but clean and comfortable, the only thing they only give you one pillow per person. Breakfast is nice but same menu everyday so if you stay for a week you’ll get sick of eating the same type of food everyday. Overall great stay and will come back to stay again in the future.

What I like are
1. The lobby, it is clean, spacious, multifunction. It looks like co-working space, canteen, meeting point.
2. Breakfast is better than I expect. It has local style and internation style mixed. And it is tasty both. Drink are also valuety. I lime Japanese tea mix with rice grain.
3. Room is clean and spacious.
4. Location is not far from train station.

Very pleasant stay. Interior is bright and new. Squeaky clean. Room size is small as usual for japan hotels but comfortable. Free refreshments at lobby. Located across kyoto shinkansen station. There are elevators and escalators at the station for easy transport of luggages to the hotel. Just that for my room, the air con will be blowing directly to the face.

I arrived Kyoto past midnight. I find it safe and easy to walk to this hotel, which is only about 5 to 7 min away from the Kyoto airport limousine bus stop. And there is a 7-11 nearby, where I can get a quick night snack after the long flight and custom process.
Room is small but cozy for 1 or max 2 person (note: only 1 person can open a medium-sized luggage at a time). Good for an overnight stay. Breakfast is fresh, clean and healthy. Hotel personnels are friendly and helpful. Checking in was a breeze and the Checkout was super easy (just deposit the keycard into a box). Perfect!

Less than 4 minute walk from the Kyoto station. The station has several dining options. The hotel follows several eco friendly practices, without compromising on customer comfort.
The breakfast spread had sufficient options to cater to needs of each on my family members.
As with most hotels in Japan, the rooms and bathroom are quite compact. The beds were comfortable though.

Das Hotel ist nur eine Straße weiter von der Kyōto Station. Das ist sehr praktisch. Ein 7-Eleven liegt auch direkt auf dem Weg. Leider war unser Zimmer mit dem Fenster zum Bahnhof, weshalb es doch etwas lauter abends / nachts war. Die Zimmergröße war ok, entspricht dem japanischen Standard. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls eher japanischer Standard als internationaler europäischer Standard, muss man eben mögen:m. Es gab sonst auch Toast und Croissants. Für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mit der Lage würden wir es wieder wählen.

初めてシャワーブース部屋を利用しましたが、手洗いとトイレ、シャワー室が別々にあるため、ユニットバスの不都合さが解消されました。施設もきれいで朝食も美味しくいただきました。

No existen habitaciones de 3 camas!

El hotel esta excelentemente ubicado para moverte por Kioto, por que está al lado de la Estación de tren de Kioto. Hay de todo cerca para comer algo.
Lo que no explican en su web ni en la web de Hoteles.com es que las habitaciones son SOLO de 1 ó 2 camas. Pero dejan alquilar habitaciones para 3 personas. Vamos que no tiene ninguna habitación del hotel 3 camas o 2 camas y un sofá cama. Solo de matrimonio o dos camas. Y esto da lugar a malos entendidos como me pasó a mí . Que me dejó alquilar una habitación triple, pero para repartirnos 2 camas. OJO CON ESTO.
