This was definitely a convenient hotel to Kyoto station, and the staff was accommodating. The room itself was a little underwhelming in that the beds weren't the most comfortable (didn't use 100% cotton sheets (partially synthetic, which doesn't breathe as well), mattress was too firm), and the bathroom had some maintenance issues. Nothing major, but would probably look elsewhere next time. For context, I travel to Kyoto 2-3 times a year for work and stay for 1-2 weeks at a time.

The location is very strategic,
It is near around 300m walking distance to Kyoto Station (using Hachijo East Exit if im not mistaken the spelling)

It also near to subway Kyoto station and bus station
Near to Family Mart & Coco Ichibanya Curry

The room is very spacious and affordable, the amenities are quite nice, but my advice you can add bath salt would be nice
And the front desk is very polite and friendly to us tourist from other country as well

It was cheap, clean, and quiet. I had no serious problems with anything. The lobby was also welcoming and open to anyone.
Guests weren't allowed in the rooms, despite the fact that I've paid to stay there, which made for some inconvenience. The bed and pillows were also a bit stiff.

Great spot close to Kyoto Station

The hotel is super close to the Kyoto station, which is very convenient. The staff was incredibly helpful and even helped us book dinner reservations. The room was clean and had everything we needed (hair dryer, multiple outlets). My husband had breakfast downstairs and said there was tons of options. Overall, a great hotel for the price in a perfect location to get around Kyoto.

About 5 mins walk from Kyoto Station in a quiet neighborhood. The exterior of the building looks modern but inside the lobby feels cramped. Staff is friendly but awkward when she asked me to pick tea & coffee packs from a basket. Our room located at the end of the hallway & the interior has an odd layout & outdated decor. The double bed is tucked in one corner & the mattress looks sinking. The dark colored carpet & curtains + insufficient lighting make the room very depressing. Obviously, we weren't happy with the assigned room so decided to leave early in the morning to our next destination. We paid for a deluxe double room but the condition is far less than our expectation.

Walking distance to Kyoto Station

One night at this Daiwa Roynet property in Kyoto as I extended my stay in Kyoto and there was not availability at my first hotel, for my final night. So, I chose this hotel based on my pleasant stay at their property in Tokyo Ginza and this location within walking distance of Kyoto train station. They clearly cater to businessmen and apparently there are lots of smokers too. Requested a non-smoking room but the odor of smoke was clearly apparent in my room, probably from the ventilation system? Overall good value and location and staff was pleasant.

Be aware in this area there are three hotels with the same name near by. Went to the wrong one, and the staff called a taxi. Then confirmed our reservations. The correct hotel staff was great helpful and spoke English. Also good breakfast buffet for 1000 yen. Would stay again

Nice hotel and useful laundry facility

Had a nice stay at this hotel. Staff were helpful and it has a laundromat facility, which we found cheap, easily accessible and useful to laundry all the clothes we havent washed halfway of our japan trip (Due to Laundry service being pricey other hotels).

Room was a bit small (Definitely not good if you have lots of luggages) but I still found comfortable.

This is conveniently located near Kyoto station. Traditional Japanese breqkfast at the hotel is wonderful and inexpensive and early (starts at 6:30 am) and I would recommend everyone eat here before you head out to various attractions for the day. Not many places open at 6:30 am and you want to start your day early because there are too many places to visit.

Right outside of exit 5 of Rinku Town Stn. Within walking distance of Premium Outlet and other shopping and eating places. Airport bus picked us up at reserved time compliments of the hotel. Ride to airport took 15 min to Terminal 1. Hotel room was pretty standard, nothing fancy but clean. Staff were efficient and communicated well.

Nice hotel a short walk from train station

The hotel is nice and is located a little south of the train station. The rooms are very small, and beds fairly hard, typical of Japan. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a wide variety of foods. I'd stay there again.

Very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I specifically asked for a non smoking room and the room that I was placed in obviously reeked of cigarettes. View was very discouraging as well. My view was towards the side of another high rise. One positive I must add was the hotel is situated in a great location between dotonbori and umeda so it is perfect for shopping, sightseeing, and strolls,

Good area for transport but hotel room very small. Double bed pushed against the wall with only one bedside light making reading in bed difficult. Asked at desk for another light but was told they did not have one. Asked for another room with twin beds as it was difficult for partner to get out of bed as he had to crawl over the other and was told we would have to pay extra to be up graded.
Breakfast was priced well and a good selection of food, although there was no fresh fruit.

Comfortable and Convenient Kyoto Stay

We only stayed here one night when we went to Kyoto, but we were very pleased. The room is small, but we weren't there to spend time at the hotel, we wanted to be out and about. The fact that it was only a few blocks' walk from the train station made this very easy. The hotel room had every convenience, including phone chargers provided, and the staff was welcoming and courteous.

after arriving by train from Osaka, it was great to be able to walk just a short distance and find the hotel. In our few days there, we enjoyed walking back there to visit so many eating places.

Each morning we enjoyed the breakfast provided at the hotel.

Best stay for my whole japan trip

Booked this with deep discount and comes with breaky so it already presents great value. The location is very convenient yet not noisy at all. The staff are very professional and speak good English. The room is spacious and clean with good facilities. The internal laundry is a big plus. And the buffet breakfast is also great! Can't think of anything negative to write about.

Quick walk from the Kyoto Station

I stayed at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel with my sister. We shared a single room with a queen bed. It's a little small but plenty of space for us to leave open our suitcases and get ready together. It's very close to the train station and a reasonable price. The hotel staff was super helpful and friendly. The bathrooms are a good size and the bed was very comfy. If you're not looking for anything super fancy but want a nice clean hotel room. I'd highly suggest this hotel.

Good hotel, but for the traveller or Kyoto visitor it needs to be on the north side of the station where everything is. There is a minimal bar and restaurant so you have to be prepared to go outside to get fed and to get a drink.

The hotel is modern although the toilet is small. You cannot use the bathtub to soak your body unless you tilt your legs. The receptionist is able to speak good English and provides directions to places that are not easy to find in the map and suggested the bus to go to the place. Overall it's a nice experience staying in this hotel and will not mind to come back again next time.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel - good value

This close hotel is situated very close to the train station. It is a quiet residential neighbourhood, but within walking distance to key bus stops. Also, the Aeon Mall is about 4-5 blocks from the hotel. The hotel has a laundromat. The breakfast is extra, but was tasty and good value.

The hotel was close to the train station which was good, it was also close to the 2 shopping centres. However we got a smoking room, the room stunk bad, we couldn't have the air conditioning on because it recycled smoky air, we had the window open the whole time 3 days and by the last day the room still had a faint smell. Because the window was open the street traffic was noisy at all hours of the day and night. Room was so small, like a shoebox. Breakfast was very disappointing, not a large spread or nice food. Wouldn't stay again.

Good location near Kyoto station. Staff very accommodating and reasonable English. Advertized as having restaurant and we went there expecting to eat lunch but the restaurant is only open for catered breakfast not inclded in room rate. Few eating places nearby except at Kyoto station. While nice, we thought the price was very high for few amenities. Would have liked a swimming pool and gym. There are 3 Roynet hotels in Kyoto which was confusing to taxi drivers and tour directors. On another visit I would probably pick a hotel that is a tour bus pickup point.

The hotel is in a really convenient location, opposite Kyoto station and is a short walk to the subway. Most of the walk is within the station, under cover, so it was really convenient even when it rained and snowed.
The room is very clean and well equipped, though not all the functions on the electronic toilet worked properly, though we didn't use them. Buffet breakfast cost only 1030 yen and included a good spread of western and eastern selections, food was really fresh and plentiful, even if you sat down to eat 15mins before they closed. Staff were quite friendly and professional.

Practical hotel close to station

Two of us stayed in a room for two nights. It was very clean and comfortable with an emphasis on the practical. Checking in with the staff was easy and they spoke English which was helpful for us. The room was incredibly small, and so we kept our luggage mostly packed so we wouldn't trip on it or each other. This didn't bother us too much as we don't travel with a lot of stuff (1 bag each) but we also didn't spend a lot of time in the room either because of it.
The hotel is very close to the Kyoto station, so it was easy to go there for dinner (we went to Kyoto Ramen Koji a couple times) and for breakfast if you are interested. We tried the 1000¥ buffet breakfast which had plenty of Japanese and a small amount of Western dishes. The selection was ok, decent for the price, quality was good for the price.
