Overall, the facility was good, and the staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. However, there was some miscommunication regarding the corkage fee policy when I brought my family to swim. The staff on the day shift informed us that there were no corkage fees for food and that fees only applied to alcohol, which we did not bring. Later that evening, a different staff member told us otherwise. We were able to resolve the issue, but it would be helpful if the policy were communicated more clearly to avoid confusion in the future.

Another area for improvement is the shower pressure, which was very low during our stay. Stronger water pressure would greatly improve the experience.

Other than those issues, we enjoyed our stay. The 24/7 security presence was appreciated and made us feel safe throughout our visit.

The owner has installed an annoying device that takes everyones picture as you enter the office to check in and says \"Hello, Welcome\" in such a loud voice you have to yell to be heard. It does this constantly and is so annoying that for that first reason alone I won't stay there again. The owner should care that they are all annoyed when they are trying to check in or out.
Poorly managed. The time of check in is 3 pm and wasn't advertised, so people are showing up a 2 pm and getting turned away. Additionally 3 pm is the staff shift change time, and when people need to drop their keys off to get their rooms cleaned. 3 pm is just chaos.
They collected a 2000 peso security deposit at check in as well as the 1700 peso environmental fee. The security deposit was not in the agreement when I booked the hotel and I had to hike to an ATM in order to get the cash for it.
The internet is bad because it constantly drops out. You can expect it to be down a quarter of every hour.
The water needed to be turned off one day for repairs but they didn't notify until 5 minutes after they had already turned it off!
The restaurant it outdoors near the pool and an overgrown jungle area. The flies and mosquitos constantly attack you and your food there. I won't eat there again.
The kids playground is fenced and covered with danger off limits signs all around it, yet kids we jumping the fence and playing in there and the staff did nothing about it.
Weddings in the rental hall are too noisy

At your own risk

First, I paid online. 2 rooms. She first tried to get me to stay in one without refunding the other. She (Gel is her name) charged me for two deposits even for one booking. Then there’s the cash you need even if you book online. I’ve never had that before where you pay online and they still require a cash deposit on site. And the NON-Refundable ”environmental fee” not mentioned online.

And after you go a quarter mile to get to the nearest ATM to get the cash after wading through prostitutes, beggars and junkies, you get to go to a room that is a close tie to the worst I ever stayed in back in 2003 in Mexico. Horrendous smell. It smells like one of those urinal mints. Dirty walls, dirty floors, nasty bathroom (see photos).

I think this room would be fairly priced at $12-15 per night. Not $64. I’d ask for a refund but I don’t want to go look for another hotel this late in the evening. Another review mentioned mosquitos. Yep. Been here 15 minutes and I’ve been bitten four times.

AC barely keeps up. I’m sweating and it’s as cold as it gets. I can’t believe hotels.com actually lets the owner list this dump. Oh, and security seems more about catching you breaking their rules so they can take your deposit than to actually protect you or your stuff. I think a jail cell might be a better option and probably cheaper too.

The online photos are fake. They do not reflect reality in any way.

Pictures misrepresent

This place was not the hotel I saw in the pictures. I realize that they are meant to put yhe hotel in a positive light but I thought I was staying in a very different hotel. I paid extra for the jacuzzi room but I was afraid to use it. There were calcium stains all through the jacuzzi which gave the appearance it was dirty. There were holes in the sides of it that should have been covered. I simply could not make myself use it. I checked in on a Wednesday and the hotel was 80% unoccupied. We were the only two people there for several days but the staff was completely indifferent to us. You would think with fewer guest at the hotel that the guest you do have would get more attention but that certainly was not the case. All but one of the staff completely ignored us and when I asked one young lady a question she was very passive aggressive in her response and pointed me to the office to get my question answered. Mind you, we were the only two people at the restaurant/pool area but she acted like I was interrupting her very busy day. I made my complaint known and someone quickly apologized but also made excuses for the young staff member saying it wasn't her job. ONCE AGAIN, we were the only two people there. She should have made an effort to earn a tip. The place is beautiful when lit up at night. The restaurant food was just bad though and the drinks were so watered down that they couldnt be called alcohol. I had a pina colada that had no rum and served with a LEMON SLICE!

Terrible!!! If there's anything lower than 1 star, I would have given that.
We only stayed for one night although we have a 3 nights reservation because of many issues we experienced right after we checked in. Water was leaking from the base of the toilet bowl after each flush and the water was accumulating on the bathroom floor. We requested to be moved to another room but the room that we were transferred to have just as much problems as the first one. We decided to stay for the night because it was already late at night to look for a new hotel. The room does not have the things that travelers does not usually bring with them i.e. iron, ironing board and hair dryer. The towels looks more gray than white. The establishment looks and feels old.
What bothered me the most is when I checked out in the morning and decided not to complete my 3 nights paid reservation, the staff didn't even bother asking why or tried to find out if there's a problem. They just hand me my deposit but did not offer a refund for the paid two days that I did not use their room.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL.

If i could give a no stars rating i would. This place is disgusting and miss representing its self as waterfront and or with a view of waterfront. My in room seating was nothing more than weathered plastic patio furniture. .My in room toilet was leaking sewer water from its base and had a strong odor of slewer gas in my room. I could no longer stand the smell and was forced to check out and make other arrangements. Hotel would not make a refund. Dont waste your time with this dump.

Subic Waterfront has the best pool in the area and the dining is also very good. Unfortunately, the room was sparse, bare concrete walls, nothing but a plastic table and chair for furniture and the smallest wardrobe/closet I've seen in any comparable hotel in the PI. The TV has YouTube and Netflix only. Also, there is a hidden daily 100 peso environmental maintenance fee which when I inquired was told it is for \"maintaining the environment\" (a tautology). No safe in the room!

Shower & commode not working, the whole bathroom is dirty, air condition not working, the whole area can not pass usa standard for cleanliness, place is unsafe for anyone to enter & steal our new Toyota Fortuner. Breakfast not worth eating. This place is also misleading because I thought I was inside the SBMA because it is saying Subic Waterfront View Hotel & Resort. I rather stay inside SBMA where there is 24 hr security at the gates & more accessible to Olongapo night life using the Main Gate where there is security. Next time ai have to make sure I am inside SBMA grounds.

terrible place and terrible hotel

I did not stay in this hotel after I arrived, i found it very filthy, ugly, and they gave me a paper full of prohibited things that we should not do nor bring to the hotel, and there are penalties money to pay if you violate any of these stupid rules which they have implemented and in a scam way have hidden it until the customers completely pay their stay,

they did not state their rules in their ads, because they knew that nobody will book with them.. they are totally corrupted filthy scammers, their hotel is below standards hotel,

they tried to scam me to pay something called environmental fee which they only tell the guests after the guests pay in advance their stay..

I refused to pay that environmental fee and simply quite to stay in that garbage, filthy and corrupted hotel, I quit and booked for my self and my family in another hotel not in subic ..

subic is not a good place to spend vacation it is really ugly, filthy place.. I will never go there any more..

Worst stay ever

Room was cramped and old, curtains did not fit window had to hand towels for privacy. toilet would not flush, power outage while in shower, on-site restaurant was out of most foods on menu, we were forced to eat sandwiches which were terrible and took 1 hour to serve to us. Large metal light fell from ceiling in restaurant patio and almost struck my wife. No access to any beach and not able to walk on the street outside hotel due to several prostitutes working the area. We were forced to leave after only 1 day and Resort would not reimburse our days paid. HORRIBLE PLACE

The reason why I stayed here was to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday in a safely manner. We got together outside the room, the staff came out because a hotel manager was also staying right next door from us and we were disturbing them. We are the customers and there are other empty rooms (the hotel manager should’ve moved to a different room, or they could have placed us to a room away from others) so we could have enjoyed our purchase for staying here!
Therefore we decided to stay in the room and continued with our celebration! But the staffs kept knocking on the door asking us quiet down. The 2nd evening which was the actual (day) birthday, I decided to drag my family out of the room and finished our party elsewhere to avoid conflict with the hotel manager’s room next to us. We were in room 8, the hotel manager is in room 9 and by the looks of the dish racks right by the doorway when they opened the door, maybe they are a resident in that room.
I am very disappointed because I was not able to fulfill my purpose of staying here, I just paid for a room to sleep in, that’s not why I got the room for.
But the staffs are nice, they are only following the request of their employer.
My son and I are visiting, and I am shopping around for places to stay when I return next time and I am very sorry that to say that I am disappointed for staying here!

This is the worst hotel, I've ever stayed.
Even though I paid for the accommodation, they refused to let me stay because I didn't have a passport, and the accommodation fee has not been refunded.
This should be stated in the regulations, and if the guest did not stay, they should refund the money. I made an inquiry, but there was no response. Truly the worst hotel.
