Kantary Hills is a very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast. We were given an upgrade to a huge suite, which was generous and unexpected. The service all around was great. The one thing to know is that it's on the departure path of the airport, so it can be quite noisy during the day. It seems between 10pm and 8am or so there are no flights, though.

One of the best hotels in Chiang mai

One of the best hotels you can get in Chiang Mai. Very good service desk, rooms, food and faciliates. The only thing was the firealarm that was scary and we had to go to the front to find out why.

They accomodated our ask to get a king size or queen size bed.

The location though becuase it is close to Maya mall (good) but also the Bolt/Grab cars may take a bit longer becuase the main insterection light takes about 5 minute each signal change.

Worst hotel amongst the three hotels booked this trip. Staff was not as friendly, least helpful.
Area felt safe because of the security but really lack warmth. Booked a suite, which was a good size. Room came with breakfast which was a decent spread, but I’ve had tastier breakfast at other hotels.

Booked this place as it came with facilities like gym and sauna, but sauna was not working, steam room had plastic-y smell, some equipment in gym was out of order.

The suite was okay. We liked that it was spacious. The mattress was not a very good one. I think a 4-star hotel should have better, more comfortable mattresses. Breakfast was so-so. Not impressive. But the location of the hotel was good. We were situated on the same floor as a teenaged volleyball team so there was a lot of loud talking in the hallway. Despite these annoyances we still thought the hotel was OK but I would probably choose another one next time.

The property is very conveniently located in Nimman region with a 10 min walk to Maya Shopping Complex and One Nimman. The property has two swimming pools with jacuzzi and steam/ sauna rooms which are great amenities to relax. The breakfast served in the in house restaurant is amazing. The region has lot of local food joints and a KFC short walk from the hotel.

We stayed only one night but wished we had more time. The room was very comfortable and clean, beautiful view of the temple mountain in the distance and the pool with waterfall in the middle of rooms. One of the air conditioners broke. It they fixed it right away with a smile. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend. Only downside is that it is load when the planes fly over but anywhere in Chiang Mai is loud. Close to all the Nimman St. shops and restaurants.

The hotel itself would have been ok (though it’s definitely not five stars for service, rooms, or facilities) if it hadn’t been for them ruining our vacation by scheduling noisy renovations right under our room early on a Sunday morning. This woke up our toddler, who was not pleased, having already had his night disturbed once before by a drunken hotel guest ringing all the doorbells in the wee hours of the morning. Our repeated requests for quiet were not heard, so there was no napping to be had that day either.

Finally, management agreed to move us to another wing to a room that smelled somewhat like an ashtray but hey, at least it was quiet. Couldn’t wait to get back home to get some proper rest.

Go here if you don’t mind someone waking you up with a hammer and a drill as a Sunday morning surprise, and love repeating requests for things like a baby crib three times after they’ve been confirmed in writing before arrival. Especially recommended if you want to test how your toddler deals with extreme sleep deprivation.

The pool was nice though.

The accommodation and room facilities were good and comfortable. The staff were very helpful; however, was not advised that breakfast finished at 10:00hrs upon arrival.

The photo shown of the hotel is accurate and it looks very nice; however, it is not anywhere in the \"hills\", it is on the edge of town which is ok for restaurants etc but not what I'd hoped for. The views from the hotel are very shoddy but the worse thing is the noise. The hotel is under the flight path from Chang Mai airport which is quite busy from early morning until into the night; however, even worse is a nightclub which is just around the corner and plays very loud music all evening and well into the night. I don't know if all hotel rooms are as susceptible as ours to the noise and it is evident that the hotel is being expanded considerably. Chiang Mai is definitely worth a visit, our stay was short and we didn't spend much time at the hotel, but the noise was definitely a strong minus point.

We stayed there for 1 week. The location was fine, it was quite near some eating places and is a few minutes away from a mall. When we got there the lobby was not that huge but the ambiance was great. The room we booked was huge and was cozy. It has a great bed and living area. They also have a great balcony for both the room and living space. The room was with a small kitchen as well and a washing machine. The restaurant was great, the breakfast they offer was OK. The only thing we weren't that 'keen was the staff, they weren't that accommodating and warm. They weren't that friendly.
Over all the stay was OK and the room was really unforgettable.

The hotel was kind enough to offer a complimentary cake for my friend's birthday. When we went back to our room after sightseeing, the cake was placed on the table without any cover. taking a closer look of the cake we found some dozens ants on it and the table as well!! we requested for a room change and were arranged a lower floor room, but i found a cockroach in the bathroom. need to improve on hygiene and staff's sensitivity to food safety.
the room was spacious though. kitchware was equipped.

The room service menu could have a wider variety of western non-vegetarian food.
The jacuzzi by the swimming pool could be supplied of cold water instead of hot water. The weather temperature was around the 35-37oC so staying in a hot bathtub was far from ideal.

Had a great time, stayed in Wing 2, the food at restaurant is amazing, huge selection of foods and the price is wonderful for a traveling budget. Rooms large with a wonderful kitchenette - you don't lack for anything, plus a sitting area, also a small balcony with a drying rack for your clothes - loved it!!. They even have their own special Bistro/Deli/Bakery/Ice Cream Parlour ...a great fitness room and fantastic pool!
Hotel does have a bit of a strange layout, but once you know where you are going it is second nature. You are under a flight path, but DO NOT let this deter you from staying, we only heard planes while in the pool - NEVER once while inside the hotel. Plus go across the street to \"Good Massage\" 200- 250 THB for a1 hour massage before 7:00PM ($8 to $10 CDN). You can also get the Red Truck/Taxi to pick up and drop off, lots of great restaurants, bars and shops within this area, Would definitely stay here again.

I have used this hotel 3 times now when staying in Chiang Mai for business. It is close to the airport and is a good price for a business standard hotel.
The facilities are good, pool and Jacuzzi are of a good size. The location is great for walking around a couple of shops and restaurants
My issues with the hotel would be when compared to business class hotels in other cities. I checked in late at night and no room service was available - most decent hotels have a limited 24 hour menu. There was also nothing in fridge or mini bar, so i went to bed hungry after long flight. The breakfasts however are good and start early.
It is not possible to change money at hotel which is also inconvenient, but there are plenty of money changers within walking distance.
Taxis and hotel cars can be an issue but the red truck style tiger kingdom vans are plentiful if someone goes out to the road to flag one down
Overall I would use again

The kantary breakfast buffet had a wide range of Asian entrees, breads, cereals, fruits, omelette cooking station , juices and salad bar. There was no hot oatmeal. There were sausages n meats as well.
The gym was very nice and so was the pool. The hot tubs didn't appear to be clean. Very good yoga studio at kantary terrace which is a two minute walk from Hotel. Convenient location for restaurants, temple, local market, massage parlors, optical shops, university and shopping center. Great, friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed on business. Our room wasn't ready after travelling for over 20 hours which was disappointing as we were all shattered. We were asked to wait in the business lounge which was very bleak. We had a studio flat which was very clean with all the necessary facilities. The restaurant food was very nice as was breakfast.

This review is for Kantary Hills Chiang Mai. I had a quiet room even though it was right next to the lift. Very spacious with seating area, kitchenette, bath as well as a very welcomed powerful shower and TV - which unfortunately did not have any movies showing at all - maybe due to the passing of the King? They could have included an in house movie like some hotels do.
To exit on the ground floor from the new hotel wing 2 to the road, i had to walk through the car park which was a little inconvenient and not very pleasant. There was also no staff stationed there and so if you wanted to check out, you needed to take 2 lifts and walk a long way to the main reception area.
The view from my room was also not very pleasing - looking out directly onto another giant block of flats. i've stayed in this hotel twice and never got a room with a view of the mountains as advertised on their website. i'm not even sure if this hotel has any views.
but overall, the room and bed is very comfortable, clean, simply and tastefully decorated and feels really good - so that makes up for the above comments.

I was really impressed with my stay and this serviced apartment. It felt like a brand new resort. The washing machine was a huge hit for us. They gave us a laundry rack for our clothes to dry outside. They have a community ironing room. °Ask the concierge about the local spa which was great. They also have a beer restaurant around the corner which had so many different beers and the food was excellent and super cool environment

Very attractive, clean hotel with excellent restaurant, gym and pool, Wi-Fi, etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Situated five minute drive from airport in a lively district on the outskirts of Chang Mai with local shops, bars, restaurants and a shopping mall within walking distance.
Being so close to the airport, expect some periodic aircraft noise as the hotel is right on line with the runway.
Chang Mai is a taxi ride away, but the cost is quite low, around 150-200 Baht.
The hotel is in two parts with the main part probably having the better aspect, but the rooms in the second part were still very nice.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room is pretty big and clean. Very close to Nimmanhaemin road by walking 1-2 mins. For people who come to Chiang-Mai for the first time, it is more convenient since all drivers know where it is without explanations. The only disadvantage is that it doesn't offer wifi access in room for free!
