Was supposed to check in at 16 hours nearly an hour late to give us room key would not hold onto our cases until check in time as we arrived early Going out next morning shower not working so was impossible for us to wash a basic in all accommodations no heating room was actually very cold at night kept having to go down to reception and asking them to put heating on as it must be controlled from there asked for a reduction of our stay was refused so that was two things that should have been no issues with would not recommend this 4star hotel in bundoran and Expedia you should keep these updates on your website

The outside location was beautiful! But…We did not like our room at all though. Our outside window faced someone else’s window. It seemed very creepy. We did not have a view at all ! Our room seemed dark and outdated. We did not like our room at all!

Staff were superb. The food was of a high quality. The room was without a view and airless - even with the window open and the doors were noisy and so sleep is disturbed. The setting is stunning. Children were allowed to run around and play in the lounge and bar area. Suggest an activity space for them so they are not allowed to disturb other guests.

We checked in at 7:45 only to learn the swimming pool closed at 8. Then we made it to our room booked for three people to find everything set up for two. We tried to call down but the phone was broken.

We traveled with our elderly mother & had requested a room on ground floor with easy access to reception or close to lifts. Our requests were made via Expedia app & email direct to hotel. This was not responded to & we were placed in a room very far from the reception, this made our special trip disappointing as our mother felt uncomfortable with the walk. We were given something to eat as a compensation but we really had to fight for this as we were all so upset our mothers wish to stay in the hotel we used to visit growing up had a taint to it. There is a lot of different in the welcome we got years gone by, the “Irish hospitality & welcome” is non existent. Food ok, cleanliness good, service bad.

Excellent hotel apart from wardrobe incident
I would have scored higher for our one night stay but unfortunately whilst in our room my daughter opened the doors of the cupboard in the bedroom and the wardrobe fell over on top of her. Thankfully the top landed on the bed leaving space between floor and her. Dread to think what I would dealing with if the bed wasn’t there. Informed staff on checkout to ensure all wardrobes are checked and secured as the carpet leaves it very wobbly so need secured. The weight of the doors was enough to topple the wardrobe.

Friendly and helpful staff. Food good. Dreadfully outdated en-suite a real let down: chipped paintwork, mouldy grouting, primitive shower and facilities. Total contrast to the public areas which were up to date, comfortable and well presented. A good hotel sadly let down by the standard of the rooms.

The day before our arrival I contacted the hotel to amend our booking, eventually having spoken to three individuals I was finally informed that as I'd booked via a third party agent/website that the hotel had no power to amend the booking, it was completely beyond their control. I dubiously accepted this explanation despite the obvious and very stinking wiff of bovine fecal matter that came with it. Fair enough. Benefit of the doubt etc,. On arrival at check-in the following day, my wife was able to amend the booking there and then without a single utterance of protest, amazing.

We approached the desk at check in we were 30 minutes early for check in a lot of hotels would accommodate the customer as we wanted to make the most of our stay as it was my sons birthday. But had to wait thats fine until we found tea/coffee stains on the bedding hair in the shower. Rooms are nice and big for space for kids and and swimming pool is good for kids though we were lucky to get a spot which meant we were rushing before checkout to fit in breakfast and the pool. We did enjoy our stay but wouldn't be rushing back.

Hotel was as expected and although my ratings are slightly low, i did enjoy thr short stay. I was disappointed with Breakfast, they understandably have a covid policy in places and yoy need to book in. As a business traveller 8am was the earliest i could book, yet the breakfast area didn't open until 8.07. I was second in line but once we got seated i was last to get my order taken which ended in my leaving as I would have ended up late for my 9am appointment. I had a lovely orange juice in the end. Stayed there for a couple of nights. The staff were fantastic . Everybody were super friendly, bar service was excellent. The owner was around quiet a bit mingling with the customers and was very pleasant. The hotel is situated on a golf course and beside the sea. Beautiful location and fairly priced . Will revisit and recommend highly for families. A great place to relax and have a few drinks and nice food👍
