Intersting location and staff was very helpful.

Had a car, but parked it and found everything we needed within walking distance. Staff can advise where to go. I can speak basic Spanish and got by with that when English failed me. Mirano town square had plenty of resatraunts and a nice nightlife. Everyone seems to congregate there at night. Rode the bus into Venice. You can get tickets from any tobacco shop.

Too far from city center

The hotel is located a nice town called Mirano, but it's way too far, even the bus station is near by, but it takes almost one hour to get the city center which are all attractions located..and it looks the hotel owned by a family, kind like a b& b type. The owner doesn't speak english, it's hard to communicate.

It was just ok there

It's far from anything - like 1 hour away by bus and there is another to do there in the area. If you don't speak Italian then it's tough luck for you. It was hard to get around.
The breakfast was very good and they were some what friendly.

Overall it was a good hotel for the 130 euro we paid for 3 nights, clean, decent breakfast. The only inconvenient of this low budget hotel is the distance to venice. At least 50 min by no. 7 bus.

Nice 2* hotel

Nice hotel and staff, you get exactly what you pay for, a clean bed and warm shower. 3min. away is a bus to Venice, the trip by bus is ~50min. by car 25~min. But the parking in Venice is very expensive. It is better to park free at the hotel and take a bus, that is going each 2 0minutes.

Cheap and cheerful but excellent staff and service

The hotel was basic but clean, with the added quirks of an art collection which added character. The staff were fabulous and went out of their way to please, we were very welcomed. The hotel is a good 40 min bus ride from central Venice, but to be honest you then get to explore more areas and a better priced hotel. Overall a good experience.

We arrived after midnight to a dark hotel, but after ringing the doorbell we were still able to check in. It was a short drive from here to the Mestre train station where we could easily get to Venice. Only downside was low water pressure in the shower.

Extremely happy with our stay.

I don't understand why this hotel is only listed as a 2 star as it was clearly much nicer than that. Very clean, well kept, and staff was exceptional. Even though the breakfast was continental, did not come with eggs, we asked for some and the staff went out of there way to get us some anyway. This was a very good suprise as we got it cheap and was expecting the worst. Everytime I visit Venice, I will stay there as it was only a 15 minute ride away from the island and the island prices were at least 3 to 5 times as much - and not even as nice.

My stay in Mirano

Staff was great. Easy access to bus line in Venice. Nice little eatery across street where Roberto speaks great English and he can help you get around. This is not a luxury hotel, it is for someone that is on a budget and wants something clean. The breakfast is yogurt and cereal with pastries. Enjoy the art hotel.

Art Hotel in Mirano - 45 minutes away from Venice

The hotel is very far from Venice. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes to almost an hour (depending on time of day).

Advice to those who book the hotel:
After getting off from St. Lucia train station, the bus stops are located to the right, past the bridge. Purchase your ticket for bus 7 for mirano. If you are coming from the airport, take the airport shuttle or bus 5 for the bus stop in venice and take bus 7 for mirano.

The staff members are very friendly.

Fabulous!

We loved our stay, it was a great hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, the hotel was well kept and it was very pretty. Lots of art (as the name states), a fun and comfortable place to stay. Very close to bus lines to Venice, the surrounding area includes a supermarket and other types of food. Very friendly.

Art Hotel in Mirano

We found this hotel to be very satisfactory for the amount we were charged. It is quite a way out from Venice but you can get a bus just around the corner that takes you there. The staff were not very friendly though and didn't give us much helpful information of the area.

A little far out of Venice...

but the price was right for us and rooms weren't as bad/small as some people wrote, we saw one that even had a small desk area in it. The bathroom did pretty much flood each time we used the shower but that seems the norm in most of Europe! The bus does come right outside the hotel but it takes about 40 minutes to get to Venice, if you want to be closer to Venice maybe try Mestre but it might still be quite expensive.

They charged me twice and I still haven't received my refund!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! The front desk person was extremely rude and had no customer service!! The breakfast was minimal and there wasn't even very much art?!

Art Hotel Venice - an hour away from city center!

only way to get to the city center was by bus and it's an hours drive each way and costs 3 euros and doesnt run late into the night. hotel room was very small - barely enough room to walk. bathroom was tiny and overcrowded. no water pressure and no shower stall - just a 2x2 enclosure with curtain around it which kept touching you everytime you moved! musty moldy curtains. but it did have a window to air it out. beds were soft and saggy.

Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it ended up as caravan park cabins. It did the job, no issues and the staff were friendly.
There is a restaurant, shop and bar which are good, but everything shuts down during siesta - midday to 4pm, from memory. It's a bit out of the way, there's nothing else within walking distance, but there is an hourly shuttle bus to the nearest train station - other than during siesta - which is good.
We arrived at 2pm, so were stranded for a couple of hours as we didn't want to drive into Roma.

Great For Many Reasons

We were looking for the unusual and we found it. The small hotel has art all over the walls and stairwells. The proprietors will give you the history of each piece.

It was chosen because of it's price and that we had a rental car. But to our surprise, on the corner a half block away is an express bus to Venice for 4.50 EUR roundtrip and the scenery was worth seeing.

Although they had no restaurant on site, one of the best meals we had on our trip was a restaurant in the same block and shopping was within a two block area.

The rooms are not large but completely comfortable even with a family. The breakfast was less than other hotels but filling. For both of us, it was our favorite hotel of the nine we stayed in.

a bit far from Venice for us

For the cost of the hotel it was fine except for a couple of things. The bus ride to Venice is not 20 mins as advertised but at least 1 hour. Since we were travelling with a baby this made it a long day. If we'd have known this we wouldn't have stayed. Breakfast was an additional 6 euros which included coffee, croissants, butter, jams, juice, toast and cereal which was fine except after the first day it changed to coffee and burnt croissants only. When we asked where the rest of it was we were told by the ponytailed manager this is what Italians have for breakfast....hence we ventured out after that. The hotel itself was nice and no complaints. Honesty about the distance would be good and more customer friendly staff.

Assolutamente NO, pessimo!

Al nostro arrivo alle ore 16:00 la camera ancora non era pronta. Entrati in camera, acqua calda non funzionante (problema che dopo qualche ora hanno risolto) e non avevamo il telefono in camera per chiamare la reception, presenza di formiche in bagno. La doccia è pessima, è a pavimento e c'è una semplice tendina. Le camere non sono per niente insonorizzate. Tra l'altro al nostro arrivo ci hanno detto che non avevamo pagato quando poi avevamo già effettuato. Pagamento online.

Una notte di soggiorno

Siamo arrivati e dall'esterno non sembra male ma appena entrati abbiamo capito che non era un granché... Ma io aspetto di vendere sempre le camere prima di giudicare.
Appena entrati eravamo già impressionanti, camera super piccola, ti giri a malapena, pulita si ma sicuramente poco curata e rumorosa... Il bagno vecchio senza piatto doccia!!!!! Non si può accettare infatti la piletta dell'acqua era di quelle a pavimento, abbiamo preferito non fare la doccia. Pareti assolutamente insonorizzate, la notte è stata disturbata diverse volte da inquilini poco educati.

A une heure de bus de Venise ce petit hotel est charmant, les nuits sont calmes le petit dej al fresco et la literie de pur coton.

Einfaches Hotel in Stadtnähe

Es handelt sich offensichtlich um ein älteres Hotel, das in Teilen angebaut und renoviert ist.
Die Bezeichnung ART-Hotel ist übertrieben. Es wird versucht mit einigen original \"Kunstwerken\",
die geschmacklich bedenklich sind, so etwas Ähnliches wie ART zu vermitteln. Das Haus wird
von jungen Leuten geführt, die ausgesprochen freundlich sind und eine angenehme, problemlose
Atmosphäre vermitteln. Das Beste am Hotel ist die Stadtnähe (fünf Minuten Fußweg zum Centro
von Mirano) und die Parkmöglichkeiten vor der Tür. Unser Zimmer war klein, aber mit zuverlässig
funktionierender Klimaanlage.

Soggiorno del sabato in occasione della Sagra dell'Oca. Buon servizio autobus per il collagamento a Venezia. Mi riprometto di ritornarci per più giorni in occasione del Carnevale.

Hôtel éloigné de Venise, un bus toutes les 30 minutes bondé à toute heure. 1h de trajet environ. Le petit déjeuner est correct, sans plus (pas de fruits, pas d'oeuf...), gâteaux et croissants industriels. Les chambres sont climatisées, pas ou peu insonorisées. La douche peut pratique (pb d'évacuation). Les jeunes femmes sont très serviables et agréables. Le jour du départ nous avons demandé à être réveillées. Euh... heureusement que nous avions nos portables et un taxi pour l'aéroport ? 70 euros pour 15 min de trajet...

Med bil et godt sted

Det var et rigtig fint og billigt hotel, hvis man skal bruge ferien i Venedig og de omkringliggende byer, man SKAL dog have bil med da offentlig transport tager en evighed og er lidt dyr i længden. Hvis man er til by og badeferie anbefaler jeg ikke dette sted da man skal helt til Venedig for at komme til et sted hvor man kan bade.
Personalet er søde og hjælpsomme, dog var der kun en der kunne tale engelsk, så når hun ikke var der var det ikke nemt at kommunikere. Vi var glade for opholdet i 7 dage, ville dog have ønsket at vi havde bil med.

Hôtel beaucoup trop loin de Venise.

Hôtel de confort moyen. Bonne literie, espace de rangement restreint, le rideau pour la douche est très désagréable. Petit déjeuné compris est bien garni. Personnel très accueillant. Pour les transports jusqu'à Venise il y a un arrêt de car à proximité mais attention il faut débourser 6€ par jour pour aller/retour de l'hôtel et 45 mn de trajet. C'est le point négatif de l'hôtel.

Meine Frau und ich waren im April für 3 Nächte im Art Hotel. Ziel der Reise war Venedig. Das Hotel liegt in Mirano(ca. 20km von Venedig). Die Anbindung nach Venedig ist sehr gut. Alle 20 min fährt ein Bus (100m vom Hotel) nach Venedig.Die Fahrt dauert allerdings 45 min. Wer damit leben kann ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.Man benötigt übrigens ein extra Ticket für diese Fahrt. Die in Venedig gültigen Fahrscheine gelten NICHT bis zum Hotel. Ist natürlich kein Problem, kostet aber für einmal Hin und Zurück- 6€ p.P! In der Preiskategorie des Hotels kann man natürlich keinen sonderlichen Luxus erwarten aber das Hotel hat alles was man braucht. Das Frühstück fanden wir wirklich super. Mit leckerem Cappuccino und warmen Croissants. Herzhaftes gibt es leider nicht zum Frühstück. Wer also auf Süßes steht ist hier richtig. Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Ein Lidl ist auch nicht weit. Wer sich also mit etwas zu trinken o.ä. versorgen möchte..! Für einen Kurzaufenthalt würden wir hier wieder einchecken.
