It is a beautiful little town with a lot of grand old houses. The accommodation was at the back of the property away from road noise with a lovely central courtyard. Tastefully decorated & a large shower which is a find in Italy. Walk to fabulous restaurant & town shops.

We were very happy with our stay here. Initially we were put in the wrong room, as I had purposefully booked a room with the soaker tub, but the staff were willing to change our room with minimal discussion. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was a very reasonable price.

It was a sleepy village with great bus service to Venice. About 40 minutes. Walks around the area we’re pleasant as it lies on the grand canal which, in old times would ferry people from the city to their country pile! It’s quite lovely and a safe bet not to be disappointed.

We stayed there for 4 nights! : ( It was our first time going to Venice. 4 nights was way too long (3 nights is plenty)! The hotel is about a 40 minute bus ride to the island of Venice itself. Since we didn't have a car, we had to use the bus to get to Venice. Way too far away!!!!!!! On new years eve, the ticket booth next to the bus stop was closed and we decided to walk to the nearest grocery store which was like 1 mile away ( in the freezing cold). There aren't very many restaurants nearby. The closest one is like 2 blocks away and doesn't open for dinner until 7pm we ate there 2 nights, first night the dinner we chose was great, the second night our food was just ok. The neighborhood is pretty to look at but there is nothing! Our room had no wifi connection do to poor reception, so we had to use our own connection. The ladies are helpful and resourceful. Maybe if the weather wasn't so cold at the time our experience would have been better. Also, its probably a good place for people who have a car not for the ones without a car.

A hidden gem. A beautifully decorated, unique property. Well worth the trip in to Venice each day, although this was very straightforward, with a 2 minute walk to the bus stop (30 minutes direct to Piazzale Roma) or a 10 minute drive to the ferry at Fusina. Staff very helpful, breakfast good. Highly recommended!

Beautiful accommodation which I would highly recommend. The room was perfect, wonderful decor. Staff helpful with tips on local bus to Venice, where to get tickets etc. Free bike hire, lovely to cycle around the river. Only complaint was the pillows, extremely hard, asked twice for replacements, but never got them. Despite that, I would definately stay there again, if visiting Venice.

Das Hotel hat Charme. Unser Zimmer war immer sauber, ebenso das Badezimmer. Leider fehlte ein richtiger Schrank (es gab nur eine Kleiderstange hinter einem Vorhang und eine Kommode). Der Geräuschpegel der Via Nationale ist tatsächlich sehr laut. Wir hatte im Hochsommer allerdings eh die Klimaanlage an. Aufgrund der guten Isolierung der Fenster war es daher recht leise. Aufgrund der alten Bauweise war das Hotel insgesamt sehr leise. Die anderen Gäste waren nicht zu hören. Das Hotel verfügt über einen schnuckeligen Innenhof. Wir haben hier des öfteren unser mitgebrachtes Abendbrot verspeist. Wer lieber Essen geht, dem empfehlen wir das Evolutione del Gusto (ca. 200 m vom Hotel). Wir haben selten eine so gute Pizza gegessen. Das Frühstück war nicht herausragend, hat aber unsere Anspüche durchaus erfüllt. Von Mira aus empfiehlt es sich, Chioggia (Klein-Venedig) und Verona (auf jeden Fall mit der Arena auf den \"billigen\" Plätzen) zu besuchen. Venedig kann man sehr gut mit dem Bus erreichen. Eine Rückfahrkarte kostet knapp € 7 p.P. (bitte vor Antritt am Kiosk kaufen, im Bus ist es teurer, Entwerten nicht vergessen) und dauert 30-40 Minuten.
Das Personal war immer sehr höflich und hilfsbereit, eine Verständigung auf Englisch war kein Problem.

Ein sehr charmantes Hotel
Wir haben das Hotel Relais Alcova Del Doge sehr kurzfristig gebucht und hatten daher keine großen Erwartungen. Doch wir wurden positiv überrascht.
Es ist ein kleines aber sehr feines Hotel. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Bad ist sehr geräumig und auch unser Zimmer (Nr. 14) war auschreichend groß. Alles war sauber und gepflegt. Ein Kühlschrank, ein Safe und ein TV (italienische Sender) standen zur Verfügung. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte einwandfrei.
Auch die Lage ist sehr gut. Bushaltestelle befindet sich in der Nähe. Nach Vendig sind es ca. 20 km (30 Min. mit Bus).
Und wer einen Abstecher an den Strand machen möchte ist mit dem Auto in ca. 60 km (ca. 1 Stunde) in Lido di Jesolo.
Das Frühstück war nicht üppig aber vollkommen ausreichend.

super petit séjour de 3 nuits dans ce petit hôtel plein de charme, un petit problème de débit d'eau dans la douche mais lié à la ville. accueil génial personnel sympathique, les transport à 5 mn à pied pour les mauvais marcheurs resto très bon juste à coté, un petit centre commercial pas très loin vraiment sympa pour ceux qui n'aiment pas les hôtels à l'américaine enfin du calme pas de bruit malgré la route

idéalement situé a quelques pas d'une ligne de bus pour Venise, l’hôtel est calme et confortable (climatisation, ménage fait chaque jour). Le petit patio est fort agréable après une harassante journée à Venise. Il y a également un restaurant à quelques pas de là ou l'on déguste de très bonnes pizzas.
