Very beautiful little oasis in Kuta. Getting to Poppies was a little sketchy, however once you set foot on the property you'll think you're somewhere else entirely. Our bungalow was big with an outside bathroom and it was clean and tidy. The AC blows cold. The pool area was intimate and the water was clean and cool, and surprisingly deep at one end. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant has an excellent breakfast as well. We will definitely come back to Poppies next trip to Bali.

The hotel was very well ordered and clean. There were some problems with the noise (from the street and motorbikes) and the A/C needed maintenance. But the venue is very nice. The breakfast was superb. The pool is magical. The staff were super helpful and accommodating.

The staff was so nice and welcoming at poppies! The little cottages are so cute and quaint, filled with all you need for your stay. The add on breakfast option at their restaurant was delicious! I love that they include shuttle to and from the airport. It’s one less thing for a tired traveler to worry about to get some shut-eye. The grounds were a fairy haven full of lush well cared for gardens. Koi pond, trails and pool. They even have a changing room so you can change and shower before or after your flight. If you’re in between checking in or out. Their welcome juice cocktail is so tasty too!! We will definitely keep poppies on our list for our next trip to Bali.

Amazing and we will be back. Super friendly, true Bali vibes and some super cute little retro details!

The pool is gorgeous! Not too warm, relaxing and just beautiful.

The gardens, bridges and little statue pigs are just so lovely and a more traditional old Bali which I miss.

Room is super cute, the library is hilarious watch for the cat sunbathing on top!

Overall it’s clear it was built super well and is very well priced for the atmosphere and services, the airport pickup was really appreciated!

My only nit pick was we didn’t love the food, not bad but just not amazing. Well priced but maybe stick to the local Bali menu if you’re used to western food.

Excellent stay. Very good communications, they arranged for a driver to pick us from the airport who was there waiting for us. The individual cottages are in a cute authentic Balinese style set in a private oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Everything you need is inside and the gardens and pool are set in a lovely tropical garden. Staff speak very good English and are friendly and helpful.

The gardens are beautiful, the cottages are private, lovely, and clean, and the pool was refreshing and tranquil. The staff was exceptionally helpful and attentive. Bonuses were the Poppies restaurant just down the street and the transport to the airport. We would definitely come back for a longer stay.

We stayed a night at Poppies and overall it was great. Lovely, super clean pool and bungalow accommodation that is spacious and private.
We enjoyed the beautifully manicured gardens and ponds with giant koi and the staff were just terrific.
The only criticism we had was that the aircon struggled to keep the bungalow cool.
And then, of course, the problem of it being in Kuta which is not the best given the congestion.
Overall, though, a nice stay!

Property was well managed and staff extremely friendly. Each cottage was secluded from the next to give you privacy.
I would recommend taking advantage of the hotel shuttle to and from the airport because the property is tucked back in Poppies alley/street. It might be difficult to find using a taxi or Uber. I would recommend this property if you want to in Kuta area. Also, the breakfast at their restaurant is excellent.

Exceeded our expectations. Checking was quick and pleasant. All the employees we had contact with were so kind and pleasant. The grounds were calm and soothing. Eating at the Poppies Resturant across the lane was perfect. The food there was plentiful and very good. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Poppies is truly a hidden gem:

Beautiful accommodations in the center of the city. It is a short walk to many restaurants, shops, and the beach. The hotel is completely gated in so you don’t hear the noise of city around you. The hotel offers a tranquil resort style villas and pool. The property was clean and offered many services. Staff were very friendly. The air conditioning worked great. The hotel to airport shuttle was perfect for my stay. I had a wonderful, comfortable time here.

Wonderfully clean and peaceful property! Loved my little cottage and appreciated the complimentary airport transport service. Arrived in Bali a day before my friends, and was very happy to spend it at Poppies. The surrounding Kuta area is quite touristy, but the Poppies property is a lovely oasis of calm. Lovely quiet place to stay in the heart of Kuta. Loved the food in the restaurant, had breakfast in villa on the last day - great! Pool was small and service there was not good - grumpy pool guy sat at empty bar and no service provided unless you went up and asked - not many people at poolside, we didn’t go there much. Otherwise, staff were super friendly and helpful, good mosquito protection in villa and restaurant. Airport pick up and drop off was excellent (highly recommend), also included in booking. Would stay again if holiday in Kuta.

We loved staying at Poppies. The property is wonderful with cottages and private verandas, the staff are super hospitable, it’s close to lots of shopping and temples and the Kuta public beach. The food at Poppies restaurant was fantastic and the pool area was a great way to end our day after miles of walking. It was a 10-15 minute ride from the airport. They arranged for a shuttle pick up and fruit juice on arrival. I would highly recommend it.

The cottage looks exactly the same as the advertisement. A very lovely and romantic place. We only spent one night at the hotel, hoped could have stayed longer. Although the entrance of the hotel looks a little small and not easy for the cars to drive into the lane. But inside the hotel is really nice, rooms are well furnished and layout is well thought. Very well equipped. Free airport transfer is provided, the van/car provided is spacious, new and clean. Will come back to the same place for the next visit. Strongly recommended.

Great Cottage community in town

Our stay at Poppies was pleasant from beginning to end. We contacted the hotel in advance to book transport from the airport to the hotel, and when we arrived, our driver was easy to find. Transport was a comfortable van. The cottage grounds are lovely, cared for every day by gardners, the pool amazingly cozy, the pool bar has an attendant to order drinks and snacks and provide towels, and there is a small library of reading materials. The cottages are very nice, are air conditioned and have cozy beds and lots of room. The entire staff, from front desk personnel to housekeepers, groundskeepers, pool staff and security, drivers are all friendly and it doesnt take long to feel a part of the 'community'. We had a splendid stay and look forward to returning again in the future...

Wonderful cottages

Poppies is one of the best hotel I have ever stayed in. There are no words to describe this beautiful place. Cottages are located in beautiful and peaceful garden. \"Hotel\" is located close to the beach (10 min walk) and busy area with restaurants and shops. There is a nice swimming pool area. Employees are very sweet and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and served in to your cottage. I strongly recommend this place!

It's a very Bali style property in a tropical garden. The staff are very friendly and they provide free airport transfers. Everything is excellent except the water volume from the shower and toilet flush is small. I would definitely recommend it to my friends if they visit Bali one day.

Stayed here before and return because simply it is excellent, right on poppies Lane 1 in Kuta, however the cottages are a little part of paradise amongst the hustle and bustle of Kuta, amazing staff and service complimentary breakfast on the veranda of your cottage and free pick up and drop of from the airport, will be staying again that’s for sure.

Beautiful oasis amidst the bustle. Walking distance to many things. Charming Balinese style cottages in beautiful gardens. Absoloyely fabulous staff. Very accommodating. Free airport transfers and as we had a late flight we were able to store our gear there and use the pool changing rooms to shower and freshen up later in the day before our flight and enjoy a few drinks by the pool. A great way to finish our trip to Bali.

I have stayed in many of the Poppies Branded Properties throughout the world and this property is no different. The curtains seemed old and sun faded, aircon barely kept the room cool enough to keep from sweating and they have a taxi hustle here so be aware. The cottage was very spacious and comfortable and what we were looking for however, due to the annoying taxi hustle everywhere here, my stay and general impression of the hotel was greatly diminished. Was a bit disappointed they didn’t include their signature rice milk soap and shampoo( as advertised). The reception desk were friendly but like everyone here in Bali don’t seem to know their place. You are here to assist us, not spend our money for us. As a consumer we buy what we want not what will give you the highest commission. Bali is a dump, go to Hawaii instead.

Overall it was a very comfortable stay at Poppies Bali. The breakfast was the big highlight of the stay and of course the warm staff and good location! Poppies was my choice for the first bedraggled days in Bali- after 4 grueling days of travel. I didn’t want any frustrating surprises. I stayed at Poppies 20 years ago and it was even better than I remembered. The pool is wonderful. The food is terrific. Get the breakfast with your room! The service is perfection.

Only way to sum up this hotel is truly amazing. Stayed here for 5 nights as a couple and were impressed with everything, they picked us up at airport on arrival, cottage was ready at the hotel, room was spotless everyday, room had free WiFi, a very good bathroom, safety deposit safe, complimentary room service breakfast which was awesome, staff at this hotel are what makes it so good, they are so genuinely friendly, the grounds of the hotel are attended to almost all day,the pool are is almost like a paradise garden, all in all we will return to this gem of a hotel without a doubt

Loved Poppies Cottages 1 great little hidden Gem in Poppies Lane close to Legian and Kuta. Stayed 3 nights. Cottages were beautiful and clean only small complaint would be our last night and morning no hot water. Loved the outdoor bathrooms. Lovely staff. Beautiful gardens. Wished we booked longer but had a booking with Grand Inna Kuta with family. Poppies offered complimentary transfer to Grand Inna which was great. Will be back
