Recommend! Comfortable bed, good shower, the AC worked great, good breakfast, nice spacious room with views of the canal and street. I felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveller. Easily walkable to some lovely villas. Staff were very helpful! I was only there for a first day from a long day of travel, so I didn’t try the local restaurants but they looked worthy of a nice meal and wine.

Quiet hotel in the Veneto

Since the Brexit vote, the pound sterling has been weak against the euro and hotel prices in Venice are high anyway. Even with the modest additional cost of the bus fares to the city, this hotel is an economical choice for travellers who don't mind waiting for buses (a few hundred metres to the stop) and sitting on them for about 30 minutes each way. The bus route continues to Padua, so provides a convenient means to get there too. The hotel is unpretentious, very clean and with charming staff. No problems with hot water or the nowadays equally important internet. There is a restaurant nearby with good food.

Lovely hotel staff were absolutely superb. Only downside is in the week we visited it was very warm and the air con was not on. I asked at reception and was told it was to early in the year and to open the shutters. This would have been fine apart from the fact we was next to a very busy road

A real disappointment

This hotel is 25K from Venice though that is not apparent in the ad, which says it is on the end of the canal. We had planned to stay in Venice, not in some small town 25k down the road. The owner was defiant and not in the least helpful, We felt scammed into believing this hotel was on the canal in Venice, and when we explained our situation, he was most unhelpful, even rude. Furthermore the hotel was dark and dingy, there is nothing around it that is interesting. I would never stay there, not on a bad day, certainly not a good day. Needless to say, we cut our losses as we had paid in advance, and left. I could not possibly recommend this hotel to anyone. We travel extensively and have stayed in numerous hotels around the world. This one along with its owner goes to the bottom of the list.

Pleasant hotel on the Brenta Canal.

This is a good hotel to use as a base to explore the Brenta Canal and the villas that surround it. There is a handy bar within 100 metres, and a really good pizzeria about 10 minutes walk away. The staff are helpful and friendly.

This hotel is about 400m from the bus route from Venice to Padua, and in a quiet position. The staff speak English and were very helpful. Serve yourself breakfast, including the coffee, I worked out that a shot of expresso and the hot water (for tea) produced a decent coffee. However, my room (105) had a small en-suite, if you are larger than size 14, I think that you would struggle. Otherwise a decent hotel for half the price of Venitian hotels.
There is a decent restaurant next door, the chef is young but produces excellent food.

We were very lucky with atop floor .end room facing the canal, in the main building, with decadent period furniture. A sitting area outside room serving 4 rooms, spacious.The view was lovely, (we had 3 windows in 2 directions)but the noise through the night was loud from cars racing down the narrow road. There are annexe buildings, but rooms look dark, particularly lower levels. perfect spot to visit Venice, as you can park and ride the bus. under 7 euros return. Nice town in itself too. Helpful desk clerk. A good find.

We were so disappointed how far away from Vemice this hotel was. We felt weave a huge mistake staying way out there.
We took the bus in to Vemice each day, though, and made the most of it in the end.

was off the main route from venice to padova. was about four block walk to hotel with not signage from bus stop as how to get there. Other hotels had there signs out.
There sign in front is very faded so not noticeable till your right there. Hotel is very old but charming. ,cereal etc.. orange juice and is inclusive with reservation. If you need ice they have to get it from an old fashioned ice cube tray and send about cup of ice with you. They understand English for the most part. Have some nice little restaurants close by. U will need euros.

The hotel does not have airport transportation. Their cruise terminal shuttle is the local bus, two blocks from the hotel. There is no elevator, the air conditioner in the room did not work.

Worth the price. Room was clean, nice and air condition worked (very hot day in Venice). Breakfast was included and OK, the cappuccino maker was a hit with the wife. No complaints with hotel or room. The place was a bit out of the way from Venice (1/2 air bus ride) but easy to get back and forth.

This was a very last minute booking and was at a good price including flights so I went ahead to book this. As this was my first time going to Italy and on my own, I emailed the hotel for some help in going into Venice from the hotel. They were very helpful and told me that it's only a bus away. When I arrived they were very friendly and any questions that I had they have been very helpful. The room was simple but clean, had everything I needed as I was there to sightsee and only needed to sleep there. Breakfast was mostly bread based with hot drinks machine which was fine for me. Overall I would recommend this place to stay if you want somewhere with a reasonable price and travel into Venice to sightsee.

This hotel was very reasonably priced and had good a acomidations. The parking was easy to access and off street. The room was spacious with antique furniture that gave the room a rustic feel. Room was very private and had an updated restroom and air conditioning. The included breakfast was nice mostly cereal pastry and fresh baked crosonts. About a twenty minute drive to the Venisian parking area.

Quaint and Charming

Our budget prevented us to stay on the Venetian island so we chose a place on the mainland. The Riviera dei Dogi is located in the town on Mira, north-east of Venice. After a five minute walk to the bus stop, Venice is a 40 minute ride away. The staff spoke English well and gave transit directions well.

The facility is quite dated, but is kept very clean. No swipe cards, but a key attached to a heavy metal-coaster-thing opens your room. There is no WiFi in the rooms but you do get free internet access in the common areas. Continental breakfast is included. The area is quiet in the day and at night there is very little to do in the immediate area. The hotel is flanked on both sides by restaurants but they close around 10:00 p.m.

If money isn't an object, we would stay in the middle of the action on the Venetian Island but for around 60 euros and a mini tour of Mira, Hotel Riviera dei Dogi is not a bad alternative.

Airport Transfer Tip:
By bus from the airport: Take the bus to Piazzale Roma then from there take the Padova or Dolo Bus and tell the driver to get off the Mira-Porte stop. On the traffic light, take a left on Via Mocenigo heading south. Then make a right on Via Don Giovanni Minzoni. The hotel should be 100 meters ahead. (approximate travel time: 70 – 90 minutes)

Rooms could use some serious improvement

Not bad, not great either. Location is a bit far from Venice, but if you have a car, it's not a problem. I believe there is also a but that takes you to Venice. The town it's located in is very charming and there is a wonderful restaurant rest door. The staff is super nice and friendly. Hotel is clean and the decor is nice. The room decor and condition is another story. The bed frame was so loose that if you bumped it walking by, it would wobble and hit the light switch next to the bed. Any movement on the bed would subsequently result in light being turned on, not to mention the noise. The bathroom was tiny, to say the least. It was the smallest shower I have seen in my life and you literally had to squeeze into it (two sliding doors). The toilet was right next to the shower, so no space there either. That part of the stay was extremely uncomfortable. I understand the concept of small space in Europe, but that was too small even for European standards.

Close to Venice at a modest price

Very quiet and safe neighbourhood. Bus stops and restaurants closeby. Breakfast is standard and priced accordingly. Locals are friendly and helpful. Canal nearby provides some entertainment value; either the Loch Ness Monster hiding there or that's a pretty big fish!

We were in room on the ground level--the sidewalk was right next to our window so people walking by could look in unless we closed the shutters--making our room very dark. We asked for a different room, but the hotel was completely booked. The small shower did not drain well and flooded the bathroom floor. Breakfast was not appetizing--fatty ham, warm milk, yogurt, etc.
The staff was helpful and friendly, though. The lady showed us where to get on the ferry to go to Venice. The ferry was easy to find from the hotel.

Not a Hotel, a Bed and Breakfast... no restaurtant.

Had this glorified, old and dated Bed and Breakfast been closer to Venice, pricewise, but who wants to travel nearly 2 hours each day when they're on holiday? Who wants to have to leave much earlier than you want to just so that you can travel back to where you're staying and not miss the last bus? Who wants to be wearing the same clothes you have worn all day because your too far away from where you're staying? Who wants not to be able to take a shower before you go to eat in a restaurant? So, that is why I wouldn't recommend you staying at this 'hotel.'
Was I told that I would be 34 Kilometres from Venice, when I booked? No, (misleading on page). I was told that by a taxi driver--I had to get a taxi during my 4 day trip to Venice, 50 Euro- because the boat just pulled off without me. I had asked if he was going to Venice where I could get the bus for my 45 minute journey, and he just said Venice was a big place and went. I had to wait for the next boat and consequently missed the last bus.

I didn't find the pillows or the bed, particularly comfortable'..
I was glad that I wasn't overweight, I could never have got into the shower.. well I could have got in but I wouldn't have been able to have closed the door!
And if you don't mind travelling for almost 2 hours a day and losing the best part of the evening getting back, not having a shower and wearing the same clothes all day in the heat, then that's fine. Better take some deodorant with you, though!

The hotel service from staff was welcoming and cannot be faulted. First impressions of the room made you feel like you were staying in an actual piece of Italy. Just how I imagined what I would read in a romantic novel. The location was perfect for our stay as we had hired a car so that we can travel to Verona and Lake Garda as well as visiting Venice. The only negative comment I can write is that after the first night the room was not cleaned; well, we had our beds straightened, toilet rolls and towels were replaced but the floor was not to be desired. The electric sockets need to be looked at as when you touch them they move further into the wall and are not safe. Al in all, I would stay there again as the hotel was quaint. I would truely recommend the hotel to anyone that wants to stay and feel like you are staying in a little piece of Italia.

this hotel was beautiful and set in a sleepy little town that was delightful to walk around in and enjoy the nice days. The staff is incredibly helpful and was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely stay again if I get the opportunity to make it back to Mira.

The Riviera Del Dogi in Mira.

The hotel is in a good location in a \"normal\" italian neighborhood. It's approximately 14 km from Venice proper; however, there are numerous restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. The wireless internet was not accessible in the rooms on the 3rd floor so I had to use my computer in the lounge area on the first floor. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel, far from Venice

This hotel was clean and pleasant. Because of airline problems my trip was delayed by one day and my stay in Venice was cut short by a night. Because I was unable to get a refund (due to hotels.com booking) they upgraded my room to a nicer one with vaulted ceilings overlooking the canal.

I don't have anything specifically fantastic to say about it, but I certainly have no complaints about cleanliness or helpfulness of the staff.

We had a car and were able to easily find the city (about a 20 minute drive), but without one it may be difficult.

Awful! Do not stay here unless you want to spend hours on buses before you get to Venice!

We did not enjoy our time here at all! They put us in the darkest room in the hotel, the bedroom had a view into the hotel dining room,the bathroom had a view of a brick wall,and the room next door was being renovated. She said it was \"no problem at all\" if we wanted to change rooms but when we asked it was a problem. The manager then moved us the next day to a room TWICE the size with a river view, this was also a standard room so if they put you in a crap one, ask to be moved to the first floor. It's too far from venice to have a relaxed stay, the bus journey is no less than 40mins and we counted 42 prostitues in one bus journey so it isn't really a place to take the family. The last bus from Pizzale Roma to the hotel is at 12am so going out for after dinner drinks is out of the question. There is no beach nearby and no train station as stated,the restaurants are limited,and there isn't really anything to do in the local vicinity. If you want a relaxing holiday in Venice stay as close to Pizzale Roma as you can.

Dieser Unterkunft hat gerade mal 1Sternchen verdient.
Der Minibar war defekt, Luftreiniger im Bad war zu laut, das Wasser in der Dusche wird Kalt dann auf einmal wieder heiß.
Es sind Ameisen in Zimmer!
Ein Wasserpumpe läuft 24 Stunden, so dass man nicht schlafen kann
Der Putz fällt teilweise con der Wand.
Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen zumindest nicht in den Zimmern 101- 103, die im Hof sind.

Foi uma boa escolha. O hotel possui instalações antigas, porém é bem cuidado e limpo. Próximo dele tem um ponto de ônibus; são 30min até Veneza (onibus 53). Uma boa opção para quem está buscando uma boa relação custo beneficio, pois os hotéis em Veneza e mesmo em mestre são bem mais caros.

Hotel gebucht zum Hammerpreis, als Ausgangpunkt um Venedig zu erkunden. Sind mit dem Auto dann nach Venedig rein gefahren. Parken kostet 26€ den Tag/24 Std, was einen Unabhängig von Busfahrzeiten macht.Das Hotel selbst hat niedliche Zimmer/Unser ;-) , das Frühstück ist traurig, Abends nebenan in einem süssen Restaurant gegessen.Lecker. Der Parkplatz ist grosszügig und mit Video Überwachung.Frühstücksraum ist kühl und überall sind die Bodenplatten lose und wackeln. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, spricht Englich, was leider selbst bei jungen Leuten die seltenheit ist.

베네치아에서 조금 떨어진 곳이라서 많이 망설였는데 생각보다 교통이 편리하더군요...
버스 한 번만 타면 바토레토(수상버스) 베네치아 여행의 중심이라 할 수 있는 승차장이구요(20분 소요)...
호텔에서 버스정류장까지는 약 200미터 정도입니다.
호텔시설은 앤틱 하면서도 비교적 깨끗해서, 집사람이 매우 좋아했습니다...
가격대비 만족도, 괜찮은 편입니다.

Man wird nett empfangen und es wird einen alles aureichend Erklärt, also wenn man ein wenig Englisch kann kein Problem. Das Bad ist wirklich schön und groß genug, einzig die Dusche ist etwas klein aber fürs alleine Duschen reicht es. Nach Venedig mit den bus und die geh minutn bis zur Haltestelle zusammen braucht man ca. 30 minutn. Tagesticket um 3 euro bei einer naheliegenden Trafik erhältlich. Ansonnsten ist es sehr ruhig es wird immer sauber gemacht, alles okey. Frühstück ist meiner meinung nach wirklich vielfälltig und lecker :) im bad sind eine Menge Handtücher die jeden Tag frisch kommen.

Abseits vom Trubel gut gelegenes Mittelklassehotel

Das Hotel Riviera dei Dogi liegt in Mira abseits vom Trubel, aber trotzdem sehr gut gelegen für einen Kurztrip nach Venedig. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist okay, wenn auch nicht üppig...aber das ist ja typisch für südländische Gegenden. Das Hotel liegt ruhig und hat einen großen bewachten Parkplatz. Die Überlandbushaltestelle ist ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss bequem erreichbar. Von dort fährt man ca. 30-40 Minuten bis zum zentralen Busbahnhof in Venedig für 3 Euronen (einfache Strecke, Buslinie 53, fährt alle 30 Minuten, Stand 10/2014). Wer Abends gerne Essen gehen möchte findet ca. 50 Meter die Straße vor dem Hotel nach links hoch eine einfache aber gute Osteria und gegenüber der Bushaltestelle das hervorragende ital. Restaurant Veccia Brenta. Also uns hat der Aufenthalt gut gefallen! Würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen.

Mit dem Auto in 20 Minuten in Venedig

Der Ort ist sehr hübsch , leider gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe kein gutes Restaurant , aber in Venedig ist man sehr schnell , es gibt auch einen Bus , der nach Venedig fährt . Ausflüge nach Chiogga ( ca 30 km ) oder nach Padua und besonders schön in das Prosecco Gebiet Valdobiadene haben uns gut gefallen . Also insgesamt ist sie Lage des Hotels sehr gut und für diesen Preis waren wir sehr zufrieden .
