My recent stay at COMO Uma Ubud was nothing short of incredible. Our Uma Pool Villa was absolutely stunning—complete with a private infinity dipping pool overlooking the lush jungle and river below. The sense of privacy and tranquility was unmatched, and waking up to that view each day felt truly magical.

One of the highlights of the stay was how close our villa was to the spa. I ended up visiting every day and was completely pampered by the Shambhala massage, which worked out every knot and left my body feeling revitalized and deeply relaxed. Following the massage with time in the steam room only elevated the experience—it felt like my own private sanctuary, and I didn’t encounter any other guests.

The resort grounds themselves were immaculate, with a beautiful natural patina that blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. It doesn’t feel like a large commercialized resort; instead, it’s quaint, intimate, and wonderfully serene. COMO Uma Ubud truly feels like a hidden sanctuary, and I left feeling rejuvenated. I can’t wait to return.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special. Everywhere we went, the staff remembered our names and went out of their way to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect.
Our room was STUNNING with views out over the valley, and the outdoor shower was an unexpected and liberating treat!
Almost everything we did whilst we were in Bali was arranged through the hotel and charged to our room so we never had to worry about having cash. They were even on WhatsApp if we were out and about and needed a car back to the hotel.
The daily complimentary yoga and walks are a really nice addition and lots of excursions to choose from, and if chilling is on the agenda then the pool area is beautiful with great service from the pool bar team.
I couldn’t say enough good things about this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone and everyone…we will be back!

Beautiful hotel that really lets you connect to nature. I think the level of service and luxury is a bit better at the Canggu branch but loved the spacious rooms here. Breakfast everyday was a real delight and the staff were so friendly - they especially went out of their way for my sisters birthday to make it a special occasion. My only gripe is the shower amenities - it’s a horrible smelling product. Almost like a medicinal smell. This was very off putting and should be replaced. Appreciate it’s from the Spa (which was fantastic) but this isn’t a pleasant smell.

PROS:

Exceptional service and property quality, staff went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable.

Rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.

Breakfast was delicious, and I loved that the staff remembered me without asking for my room number each time. They even offered half portions so I could sample more dishes on the menu.

The massage was at luxury hotel rates, but the best I’ve had in Bali.

Location is slightly outside downtown Ubud, but easy to reach by Grab bike.

CONS:
Free morning yoga was a nice perk in theory, but the class and instructor quality were disappointing compared to other places in Bali.Unfortunately, I also got bug bites during the yoga session.

Overall Takeaway
A truly comfortable and high-quality stay with exceptional service, amazing massages, and memorable breakfast. If yoga in site isn’t a priority for you, this is an excellent choice just outside the busier part of Ubud.

- All staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. I would come back COMO because of their services! I wish I could name all of them throughout my stay.
- Shambhala Spa is a Heaven. Rathi did all my services for 4 days. Love her attentiveness and massages.
- COMO makes great effort to maintain the landscape, the layout of the property is well designed. I literally stayed in for an ultra relaxing stay.
- The breakfast selection is good, it has daily selection to add on some variety.

Other observations that needs maintenance - the shower head in the room is a letdown, the down light in the room also started to flicker. There is mould on the long mirror in the room, shouldn’t happen for the premium room rate.

This hotel is quite far from the airport but it’s a nice area. Hotel has bus shuttles to town. Short cab ride takes u to the Cretya Club where u can see tegalalang, have a dip in the pool and dine in a nice restaurant. Hotel is also near monkey forest. Staff have recommendations on activities and restaurants nearby. I must say all the staff were very warm, polite and service was top notch. Bfast was splendid.

We had a fantastic experience at Como Uma Ubud. The staff couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. They learned our names on the first day and were incredibly knowledgable of the food ingredients in support of my partners nut allergy. They went above and beyond and we cannot wait to visit more Como hotels in the future. We booked a trip with an external provider and the reception staff arranged a breakfast bundle which would be safe for my partner to eat whilst out on the trip with no nuts without us even asking for it! Yande, Made at breakfast, and Yari at the pool bar were fantastic and extra friendly. Thank you for a great stay.

This resort is simply perfect. The room was beautifully decorated in an understated way and absolutely spotlessly clean. The resort surrounds are beautiful. The staff were warm and friendly and defined perfect customer service - I have no idea how they remembered my wife and my first name and greeted us that way on every occasion.

The food - in particular the breakfasts - was wonderful.

We found this hotel at a very reasonable rate, and honestly, we weren't sure what to expect, but I will definitely stay here again. It's very close to the Ubud strip, making it easy to walk or use their shuttle service. The staff was incredibly supportive. I would highly recommend it!

I had an accident at the hotel where I bumped my head on a low overhang at our Villa and lost a top front tooth. The overhang was not well lit at night, area around it did not have a warning about it, and frankly is a design flaw as the overhang is much lower than the actual door. HOWEVER, after I complained to the staff about the incident and design flaw, the staff agreed and comped me one night of stay. Moreover, the hotel allowed us a late check out to stay as long as we wanted. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were friendly, very helpful, and knew us by name. The food is Five Star and beyond expectations. Best food we've had in Bali and our entire trip. Highly recommended!

Como uma Ubud was simply fantastic. From the welcome from the ever attentive staff to our gorgeous villa. We had an incredible stay and the team helped me with a wonderful surprise to propose to my partner

It’s a 30 minute walk into town making it doable but out of the way at the same time. The shuttle service is handy but it would be nice if it ran a little later

The team were excellent in organising drivers for day trips and airport transfers

Could not recommend more, we are looking at the wider como group now for our next trip!

Fantastic hotel with all the right details to make a memorable stay in ubud. It’s tucked away from the busy streets of ubud and the staff and property are incredible. Edy at the pool bar goes out of his way to remember every guests name and favourite drink as well as excellent recommendations on things to do. He’s attentive in the perfect way.
The rice field walk in the pouring rain with Eva was a lovely way to spend Christmas morning.
And the breakfast section is outstanding. We had dinner at uma cucina and the manager was so accommodating and hilarious she made our night extra special. Thanks como uma for making our vacation just perfect.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel quite awhile ago but I hadn’t yet written a review. When I realised this, my first thought was that this hotel and its staff are absolutely deserving of a positive review as we had the best time there, so here are my thoughts!

The hotel was so beautiful, clean and luxurious. The staff at the hotel were absolutely incredible and welcoming. They were so attentive that they somehow all knew our names! When we were walking around the property or at the breakfast bar or reception, we were always greeted with politeness and with a smile.

I remember looking forward to breakfast every morning. The dining area is situated in nature next to a beautiful pond. The food was both buffet and a la carte with both Western options and very traditional options. In my personal view, the food was exceptional! They brought out these beautiful and tasty traditional desserts every morning which I was always eager to try.

The hotel is also situated on a street with various local stores, restaurants and with easy access to the local rice farms. So if you’re looking for traditional food outside the hotel, there are plenty of great options!

If we come back to Ubud for another holiday, there’s no question that we’ll be booking at Como Uma Ubud again!

We stayed here for two weeks in November. By far best hotel experience anywhere. We stayed in a Uma Villa Pool Suite. The hotel was apparently fully booked, but we barely noticed anyone around. As most rooms have private pools, the main swimming pool is quiet and the hotel feels very peaceful. Pool was cleaned daily while we were out at breakfast, and always spotless. All staff friendly and helpful and constantly trying to improve your experience. Free Shuttle taxi every couple of hours in and out of Ubud town. Free morning walks around the local area and rice fields with a guide. Very nice spa, I visited for a massage every second day and even received gifts from the staff there on my second week. As a vegetarian I had numerous options. Their Italian restaurant is voted number 1 in Ubud, and delivers room service. The restaurant is detached from the hotel, so the hotel still feels very private for guests. We did a private cooking class with the chef and learned to make pasta one afternoon. In two weeks we only had one instance of a tiny lizard in our room (we had left the door open) and within 3 minutes someone appeared from reception with something to catch it in and proceeded to double check the whole villa to ensure there were no more.

From the moment we booked the staff went above and beyond to accommodate any needs we had. A welcome ginger tea was a nice touch after a long flight. The room and property are beautiful. What was especially enjoyable was the Discovery tour we arranged through Como. We saw a bit of everything Ubud has to offer and they even customized it by bringing us to a local art school!!! We stayed in a garden villa which was very chic but as the bathroom and bedroom are separated by a open air courtyard be prepared for a few lizards/ants creepy crawlies. We kept the bedroom and bathroom door shut - but Remember you’re in a tropical country...

Our stay at Como Uma Ubud was outstanding. The room was clean and the housekeeping kept it nice our entire stay. The resort itself had all the amenities you’d could ask for in this type of hotel. Pool is very nice.

The staff was super helpful and was accommodating to our requests. The food at the resort was wonderful. We ate at the hotel 3 days straight just to try everything out. The Italian restaurant there is highly recommended.

Overall a very pleasant stay and made our trip to Bali all the more special. I would have no issues recommending Como Uma to others!

This place lives up to its rating. We loved the accommodations. The part that made it quality was how well their team responded promptly to any problems we had. Most of the problems were beyond the resort’s control like inconsiderate guests or the fridge suddenly stops working. The hotel addressed the issues and confirmed with us it was sorted, and then went that above and beyond; they upgraded our room from the Terrace to the Villa. This sort of service really shows one way they have amazing hospitality. Also, having experienced both the Terrace room and the Villa, I can say they’re both amazing, but if you’d like privacy and quiet, the Villa is the way to go. It overlooks a valley with a river. And there’s a private infinity pool.
Also, worth mentioning that the daily yoga is on a large balcony with the view of the valley as well, which you can go and sit to do your own meditation.

This property is tucked away and up the hill from the overrun Ubud. It is a beautiful setting overlooking a gorge. I did not want to leave the property. They offer yoga and morning walks as well as many tours. They have an outside cooking class on site. The staff were extremely friendly. The restaurants and service were also great. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would come back in a heart beat

Excellent food and exceptional service from the lovely staff at Como Uma Ubud. Clean rooms and comfortable temperature since the property is located in the valley. Walking distance to Ubud village. No issues at all. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful property, wonderful villa, fabulous on site Italian restaurant, and resort was in a great location about 1.5 miles from central Ubud, which was great because close enough, but far enough from the huge crowds in Ubud. We did not want to leave, once there, and will definitely return when in Bali again.

there were so many steps and so few hand rails. It was difficult for us to navigate around. I would not recommend for elders or even mildly handicapped.

Wow, the Como Uma Ubud was an amazing property. My wife and I were there with our daughter and my wife's parents. Just a terrific hotel. One of the nicest stays that we have ever had and we have been to many, many of the world's best hotels. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! You will love it, we sure did!

Rooms were big and clean, staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable, resort grounds were beautiful. We booked day tours directly through the resort and those tours were way better than the other tours we booked. You get a feeling of seclusion without being too far away from the town. We'll definitely stay here again when we come back.

My husband and I stayed at Como for the first half of our honeymoon and we are so glad we did! The resort itself is gorgeous we stayed in a one bedroom villa that provided breathtaking views of the jungle, but it’s the staff that makes this place wonderful. They go above and beyond to make you feel like you are home. They pay attention to small details other places don’t like leaving umbrellas by your door in case it rains or providing water and cold towels for you because they know it gets hot. There are so many more things I could write about this place, but in the end the conclusion is this... STAY HERE! My husband and I would like to thank the staff for making our honeymoon magical and memorable. Thank you to the front desk staff for being so kind and helpful and thank you to Nova for serving us breakfast everyday with a smile. We are grateful.
