Family holiday in Lake Garda

We had a lovely stay at Le Terrazze sul lago.
The hotel staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful.
The main pool area is beautiful with plenty of sunbeds and there is a smaller pool the other side of the complex.
The suite was spacious comprising of double bedroom, bathroom and large room with 2 sofa beds, dining table, kitchenette with fridge and hob.
The double bed was very comfortable, one of the sofa beds was slightly sunken in the middle so not as comfortable.
There was also a large balcony with somewhere to hang towels/clothes to dry.
Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice.
I would strongly recommend you hire a car to get around. There is a gated carpark which is secure and safe.

Has potential, buy there is a safety issue

We stayed in a one bed suite, it was ok, but basic.
There was a safety issue due to a very aggressive dog next door that jumped up on our shared balcony wall twice.
We requested a move to another apartment which was facilitated.
We feel this issue must be addressed before we would consider returning.
On a positive note the pool was well maintained with life guards present daily and the staff a very professional.

Good hotel. Breakfast was very good Italian style - 5 stars.
Small Kitchen with good fridge.

Great balcony with view to Lake Garda! Great to have a bottle of wine after a day exploring the sights.

Staff was super accommodating, good tips for restaurants. Helped with the reservations every night.

Great fenced parking space, with a space for each apartment. Very convenient

We recently stayed at Le Terrazze Sul Lago Residence & Hotel with our two children in a two-bedroom suite with two bathrooms. The hotel was a pleasant surprise, offering convenience and comfort for our family. The easy parking was a big plus, especially after long days of exploring. We loved the excellent breakfast, which set us up well for our adventures around Lake Garda. What really stood out was the fantastic service from all the staff - they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. While the facilities were basic, they met all our family's needs perfectly. The hotel's location was ideal for us, as we had a car to travel around the lake. If you're looking for a family-friendly base to explore Lake Garda, Le Terrazze Sul Lago is a great choice. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable, well-run, and in a good spot for sightseeing. We would stay again and hopefully in summer when the pool would be open.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. We had a 2 bedroom flat with a big balcony and had everything needed for a family. The staff was very attentive, breakfast and pool perfect and location fantastic. The lake is a 5 min walk, bus stop and port were within 10 min as we mainly used public transport. Downtown Padenghe was a beautiful surprise.

The room was maasive with a washing machine and large balcony. Absolutely great for families. We were here for 4 days and really got the rest we needed. The rooms are well air conditioned and clean. The cleaners were very helpful and kind. They have 2 pools but we spent most of the time at the main one. There were enough sun loungers for everyone.

There are many spiders and ants in the room...
You need to take out the garbage by yourself.
You need to ask for shampoo and toilet paper every day, in the morning, because in the evening no one would help you.
The wifi is very weak.

We were greeted very well by one of the receptionists. She showed me around the property, suggested restaurants nearby, helped with the boat ferry, and suggested places to park in neighboring areas. Our apartment had a leak in the air conditioning, so we were greeted by a bucket and hose from the ceiling upon entry. The bedspreads had so much dirt, dust, and bugs on it, that I should have asked for a different room. I ended up killing at least 5 flies that were in our bathroom. I liked the floorplan; kitchen/living area, bedroom with a double bed, bathroom/shower, and bedroom with bunk beds. However, the light switches were so confusing in the flat that we couldn't figure out which one turned on which light. The information in the rooms about the gate codes was wrong and should have been updated. There was other information on there that was incorrect, too. They do offer a wakeup service and they were very punctual. The pools and landscaping was beautiful. Parking in the lot was weird as there was no order to the numbered spots in the parking lot. Accessing the WiFi and trash areas was easy. The breakfast buffet was nice, but the tall, bald man (owner or manager, perhaps) never smiled, rolled his eyes at my inquiries, yelled at my older son when he got up to use the restroom in the restaurant. When we checked out, there was a different woman at the desk. She did not tell me what needed to be done when I said I was checking out; she just took my keys without asking for the tax

Staff were few appear to be maember of same family in their old age. They were very friendly and helpful. They were very mindful about our need. Food. They even were aware of our religious/cultrual need of meat option. That was very pleasing although we never asked for any special provision. They were very understanding about our 17 yr old teengae autistic son with Learning and language difficulties. Also very close to the lake and overlooking the lake from the balcony. We will remember these few days stay here.

Wi-fi in the room was very weak, so cellular signal. 1 bedroom apartment was comfy for 2, can be a little small for 3. It can benefit from some refreshment.
Overall - was very good place. Can surely recommend.

Nice hotel in quiet village near lake

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the lake and there are quite a few restaurants nearby, including the excellent Aquariva. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The cooking facilities consisted of 2 rings and a microwave, but no oven. Wifi access was patchy but this is down to the area, not the hotel.
I would recommend this hotel as it is not too busy and is family orientated.

Ideal for an affordable week away.

Third time we've been. Quiet town on the lake, not a huge amount nearby but all you'll need.

Nice pool, ultra friendly staff and nice beer at the bar. Walkable to a quiet spot on the lake, short drive to Desenzano or Sirmione can even get the boat to Garda.

Our room, although basic, was all you need. Small kitchenette but once you've sampled the local produce you'll have all you need.

Wonderful first family holiday

We had a wonderful stay for our first family holiday with our 5 month old baby. The hotel reception staff were excellent, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in fact all the staff were very friendly. The pools were lovely and not too busy. The rooms were a little tired but nice and clean. Perfect location for exploring lake Garda.

I was very disappointed with this property. On the website it said coffee machine in room, and wifi. There was not even a coffee pot in this apartment room, let alone espresso machine. When I asked, I was told this is not a hotel, but apartments & you would have to get your own coffee, but you can always get coffee from the bar in reception...for a price, so not included in room. In addition, the wifi reception was next to nothing in the apartment I had. If it ever connected,(which was almost never)' the connection would drop within seconds. Again. I was told there's good connection in reception. I did not pay this much for a hotel/ apartment to have to camp out in the lobby to have coffe & wifi connection. This is not a property for someone traveling & staying for a night. Mostly appeared to be families on vacation . The apartments are basically timeshares. The staff however was pleasant, even if they didn't resolve any problems.

Excellent stay and hotel however some issues surrounding our arrival and rooms. An ant problem developed in our second floor room and aside from one ant powder application it was ignored by reception. We ended up sweeping up live ants 6 times a day from our floor. No cleaning service offered unless we wanted to pay for it which seemed a little cheeky given their ant problem. Overall very good accommodation with nice but freezing pools.

It is relatively quiet at night and good for kids. Recommend trying out the Yacht Club and the tapas restaurant just off the roundabout about 5 mins walk. You will need a car to travel around but Desenzano, Salo and Bardalino are must sees and only 30 mins away. Also Gardaland and Verona within 40 mins.

We had an apartment style room. We were supposed to have breakfast included but ended up being charged for it. It was not worth the price. The room was efficient, but the sleeper sofa was not good. It had stains all over it, and loose slats. But the staff was friendly, and helpful. The room did not have wifi, which I did not notice when booking. Which is important because the cell service is terrible in the area.

Fantastic residence

We were couple + baby, the location at the southern part of Garda is great, 30 minutes to Sermiona, really nice view, clean room, clean pool, free wifi at the lobby, the service was good. The only disadvantage was the fact that there's a kitchenette in the room, but no cleaning soap for the dishes, so we had to buy at the mimimarket, which was dissapointing. Also, not enough space for the luggage.

The staff were polite and helpful. The accommodation was booked as self-catering but the room missed several essentials for this. No kettle or toaster!! Also there was no cooker, only a hob. Though the microwave was a combi oven, but not a good one. We were five crammed into a one bedroom, which I don't mind but when booking the impression was very much a two bedroom was available, though to be fair it did state it was not guaranteed. There were extra folding beds provided and the sofa bed was easy to assemble and revert back to sofa, but was not very good quality (the slats kept popping out). Also there were a few too many things broken which gave the impression that repairs were not done very often. Since we spent little time in the apartment this was fine. The two pools were well located and never over crowded and a life guard was on hand. One lucky thing about our room was it included an enclosed parking space which not all do. One person unfortunately suffered a theft from their car who was not in the gated parking area. Overall if you don't intend to spend a long time in your room this is a good base. The pool facilities are enough to entertain children and that they are enclosed and have a life guard they feel very safe. The lake is easy walking distance too.

hotel staff friendly, room wasn't big enough for 5 of us (3 children), they stayed in the lounge/ kitchen, no oven just 2 ring electric hob and microwave not sufficient for self catering. Beds were uncomfortable as they were all fold up type. Restaurant will only sell you food at lunch time which Is normally anything that can be put into a small desk top grill behind the bar (which was ok for a snack), to have an evening meal or breakfast you had to have prepaid before your holiday and changed your board, which was disappointing as when it advertises having a restaurant you do expect to be able to buy food.

Some caution recommended.

This hotel is only for those who have a car. There is NO food shop within 2km; you have to walk 2.5km uphill in the heat to reach the supermarket, and the bus service is all but non-existent. Which means that excursions require a taxi ride to Desenzano for trains.
It is also pretty noisy, being occupied by 90% Italian clientele, who all seemed to know each other and be having a lovely big pool party. No harm in that, except when they filled the pool! The staff were polite and helpful and it was very clean. We were a bit surprised to only have one bedroom however, with the kids having to sleep in the kitchen/living room.

Great Resort - little cold in the fall

It's a very nice hotel. Probably lovely in the summer, but we've stayed end October and it was too cold to swim.
Also, the barrier of the top to the bunk bed was not at all secured, and my son fell of the bed.

Le Terrazze Sul Lago - Amazing service!

We stayed here at the end of May for 5 nights and were very pleased. The apartment was nice and clean, with a beautiful balcony. A couple of tv channels in English would have been great, specially for bored kids but not essential. The staff were amazing; really friendly and helpful. We had no problem communicating in English but they were more than happy (and patient!) to listen to my Italian. The area is ideal for exploring places like Desenzano and Sirmione (not to be missed). The location is also very convenient to go on day trips to Venice (2 hrs. away by train). I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Le Terrazze sur L - nice hotel, peaceful location

The hotel was very nice with a nice pool and good (= friendly) service. The room was nice even though a bit plain. Good parking facilities. The hotel was better than we expected.

The lake was near and there was a beautiful lakeview from the room balcony. However, there were only a couple of restaurants and a harbour at the lakeside as the village was furter up towards the inland. Both the lakeside and the village (and the castle above the village) were within walking distance. If you are looking for a peaceful location and/or have a car, this is a perfect place to stay.

Wir waren nun das 3. Mal in diesem Hotel, werden aber definitiv nicht mehr wieder kommen.
Das gebuchte Studio war dreckig, alt und fiel halb auseinander. Angefangen von den Klimaanlagen, die nicht wirklich kühlten. Hin zu Handtüchern, auf denen bereits am Anreisetag fremde Haare waren. Ebenso wie im Bett. Weiter mit dem Badezimmer, dessen Unterbau einem halb entgegenkam und dessen Fugen deutlichen Schimmelbefall hatten. Und auch bei der Kochniesche wurde es leider nicht besser. Alle Töpfe waren schmutzig, alles an Besteck mussten wir erstmal spülen. Ecklig. Die Kühlschranktüre fiel fast aus der Verankerung und der Kühlschrank war alt und kühlte nicht. Als dann aber am Kochzubehör noch alte Nudelreste klebten, hat es uns gereicht und wir haben uns beschwert. Denn das Zimmer war mit über 200 Euro pro Nacht nicht günstig. Und bei 4 Sternen sollte man selbst in Italien etwas besseres erwarten können.
Wir konnten dann in ein modernisiertes Zimmer umziehen. Das war insgesamt besser, der Herd funktionierte aber mit den Töpfen vor Ort nicht und die Haare auf den Handtüchern blieben leider auch.
Alles in allem war das Hotel sicher mal gut, aber Preis-Leistung stimmen absolut nicht mehr. Wer alte Zimmer anbietet, sollte dafür wenigstens einen günstigeren Preis aufrufen.

Nydelig hotell rett rett ved Gardasjøen. Store fine rom med balkong ut mot bassenget og utsikt over Gardasjøen. Meget vennlig personale. Vi ble oppgradert til en familiesute og var strålende fornøyd. Bra frokostbuffet og fint uteområde med 2 basseng.
Gratis parkering innenfor låste porter.

Das Personal war sehr blickig und immer sehr nett.
Was uns erheblich stört- die Poolregeln. Kein Spielen, keine offenen Haare, keine Schwimmtiere, auf deutsch- man darf im Pool stehen und schwimmen und habe auf keinen Fall Spaß.
Diese Regeln hätte man auf einen Pool beschränken können, aber nicht auf alle. Sehr unerfreulich wenn man mit 3 Kindern in ein \"familienfreundliches\" Hotel fährt.

Das Hotel war sehr schön! Die Einrichtung ist schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen und die Matratze war schon sehr durchgelegen. Die Pool- und Aussenanlage ist schön und gut gepflegt. Frühstück war ausreichend, nur eine 2.te Kaffeemaschine wäre nicht schlecht gewesen da man sich immer lang anstellen musste. Zum See war es auch nicht weit. Padenghe ist eher eine Hotelortschaft ohne Altstadt, Geschäfte und Restaurantauswahl. Nach Desenzano ist es mit dem Auto auch nicht weit und deshalb habe wir immer
dort Abend gegessen.
Wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen.

Sehr schöne, toll bepflanzte Hotelanlage mit zwei wirklich schönen Pools. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war auf eine sinnvolle Auswahl leckerer Speisen reduziert - uns hat es jeden Tag sehr gut geschmeckt.
Die Hotelzimmer sind verhältnismäßig groß und sehr gut klimatisiert. Ein wenig negativ überrascht hat uns das Inventar der Kitchenette und dass unser Zimmer etwas abgewohnt war. Aber auch hier wurden uns sofort alternative Zimmer angeboten, die besser wirkten.

Das Apartment war funktionell gut eingerichtet
Allerdings war das Bad in einem traurigen Zustand. Dusche verschimmelt, Toilette naja….
Pool gepflegt, Frühstück lieblos, Brötchen gab es nur bis 9 Uhr, kein Müsli, Saft aus der Maschine, Trauben und vertrocknete Gurkenscheiben waren das einzig Frische, sonst nur abgepacktes. Wurst und analog Käse….
Personal war freundlich bis auf eine Bedienung, die miesgrämig mit verschränkten Armen das Buffer umrundete.
Man ist in 5 Gehminuten am See, muss aber von dort 10 min laufen um zu zwei netten Bars zu gelangen. Der Ort selbst ist tot…

È stata davvero una piacevole scoperta, a partire dallo staff, gentilissimi tutti, la struttura è fatta davvero bene, ottima la piscina e tutto lo spazio verde, tutto ben curato nei minimi particolari, il prima possibile vogliamo tornare perché ci siamo davvero trovati bene. Grazie e a presto!

Belle chambre, spacieuse avec belle terasse pour manger dehors. Équipement très léger en cuisine mis qui depanne bien pour manger à domicile. Petit déjeuner correct. Lac accessible en 5mn à pieds. Place de parking gratuite privée avec la chambre. Deux belles piscines bien entretenues , transat en nombre.
Rien a dire sur le ménage. Tres bon acceuil, tout le personnel est tres agréable et serviable.

Die Poollandschaft vom sehr gepflegten Haupthaus ist sehr schön. Da viele Urlauber tagsüber Ausflüge unternehmen, kann man am Pool wunderbar relaxen. Netter Chef, nette Dame an der Rezeption und auch die Kellnerinnen waren sehr freundlich. Das war bestimmt nicht unser letzter Besuch dort.

Valuta for pengene.
Der var 2 sovesenge i stuen, så børnene (15 og 18 år) havde hver deres seng.
Udsigt fra altanen var til en byggeplads, så ingen udsigt over søen, hvilket var lidt ærgerligt.
Aircondition på værelset var fantastisk, og det samme var personalet.

Mycket vänligt mottagande. Lgh var helt OK i storlek även om det blev lite trångt för fyra då bädssoffan bäddades ut. Den stora terrassen/balkongen förstorar dock lägenheten i detta sköna klimat.
Vår lägenhet var lite sliten utan att det var störigt. Bra städat och AC i både sovrum och allrum.
Frukosten var helt OK till bra för att vara på kontinenten.
Vi bodde endast en natt men hade gärna bott fler om det varit ledigt. Vi tackar extra för möjligheten att bada några timmar i poolerna efter utcheckning!

Personalen var mycket tillmötesgående och trevlig!

Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

Great place for families!

We are a family of 5 (kids 4,7, 12) and had a fantastic 10 day stay at the hotel. The rooms were as expected, and the beds are comfortable. We were really happy about the breakfast as well.

5 minutes walk to the lake and a handfull of restaurants in the area. Free fenced parking right outside the hotel.

The pools are clean, and not crowded at all.

Do not expect everything to be spotless and perfect, but you will get outstanding service from the staff.

From the hotel manager who greated us when we arrived, to the restaurant manager, receptionists, waiters and cleaners. They all did everything they could, to make our stay as good as possible.

We would definetely come back!

Personalen var helt fantastiska o väldigt serviceminded och poolområdet var fint med egen badvakt. Vi valde att betala extra för ett rum med sjöutsikt men det motsvarade inte alls bilderna utan låg istället åt andra hållet. Rummet var inte rent och det låg skräp kvar i soporna dessutom var det stopp i avloppet och det kom upp matrester ur vasken i köket . Stoppet åtgärdade de dock direkt o personalen var väldigt trevliga o serviceminded. Tyvärr var hotellets läge inte speciellt bra då vi saknade restauranger som passar även barn. Maten på hotellet var ingen höjdare förutom frukosten som var helt ok. Allt var i det stora hela ok men inget hotell vi kommer bo på igen.

Rezeption sehr freundlich, die Ausstattung ist sehr alt und in die Jahre gekommen, Balkon Stühle komplett aufgeweicht, Fernsehempfang ist so gut wie gar nicht vorhanden.

In der Poollandschaft darf nicht getobt werden, springen von Beckenrand grundsätzlich nicht erlaubt und generell sollten Kinder leise sein. Sollte man wissen wenn man mit Kids verreist.

Gut ist die nähe zum Gardasee den man gut Fussläufig erreichen kann.
