Hotel is in a beautiful location right in front of the lake and in the center of the historic area. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent with a large variety of choices offered. Hotel is very clean but the rooms are a little dated. The staff was excellent and provided great service.

We were so happy with the hotel and lived our room with the amazing view of the lake and balcony. The staff were all so friendly and the breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We walked to and from the train station and caught the ferry just opposite the hotel to Sirmione. Loved the area loads to eat and drink or just wander up to the castle. Book this place with a view you will be very happy

All of the hotel staff, especially those working at the front desk, were so pleasant and helpful and really went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel and absolutely would stay there again.

Hotel Vittorio is well located right on the lake front and close to all places of interest including the ferry. The buffet breakfast was substantial with a huge selection of hot and cold food and ample fresh fruit to choose from....one of the best buffet breakfasts of Europeans hotels. Furthermore, the staff were continuously replenishing the buffet so no one had to wait for selections. 3 stars does not do this hotel justice.

This hotel is a gem right in the heart of desenzano right opposite the lake. It’s ideal location means you are steps away from two main piazzas, one being Porto vecchio. Checkin was flawless, if driving you can park right outside the door to unload and checkin at reception. Our room (224) was beautiful, nice room, lovely bathroom, balcony and a gorgeous view of the lake. Very strong aircon meant the room as kept at a comfortable temperature regardless of it being nearly 34 degrees outside. Parking was only €11 per night and about 5mins walk away in a public covered car park. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Special mentions to Aurora at front desk and Leena (from Brazil) at breakfast. Breakfast area was downstairs with option to sit outside. Great selection of food. The convenienceconnivence nm
M p of the location meant everything was within a few minutes work including the ferry port that could get you to most south Garda towns with Sirmione just 15-20mins away. In fact we got a direct ferry back from Garda that only took 30mins. Really recommend the hotel, not just for its location but also for the warmth shown by the staff. And Desenzaro in my opinion is the best South Garda town to act as a base. Thank you hotel Vittoria for such a pleasant stay.

Wonderful hotel in a good location. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful - especially those on reception. Breakfasts are good with selections of meats and cheeses , sandwiches and pastries, fresh fruits etc but a little repetitive after a fortnight. Convenient location close to the boat dock and lots of restaurants nearby.
We were (perhaps naively) surprised at travel times on bus or boat to nearby towns so that anything at the northern end of the lake was roughly 3 hours away and we didn’t want to hire a car.
We wouldn’t return to Decenzano - but NOT because of the hotel, simply because we’ve “done” the south.
No hesitation in recommending Hotel Vittorio.

Great welcome and friendly staff. We had room 408 which had an amazing roof terrace overlooking the lake. Room was clean and the bathroom had a great multi functional shower with a variety of spray settings including side sprays.
Breakfast was mostly continental with a few cooked elements of scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. Good selection of cakes, fruit and usual ham and cheese. Overall, very pleased with the stay.

Enjoyable holiday in Desenzano

When we walked into the hotel we were pleasantly surprised it was like a boutique hotel. All the staff were very friendly & helpful, the reception staff were very pleasant and very knowledgeable about the area and the many events going on in the area. The hotel was in an ideal situation overlooking the lake and marina, many and varied restaurants within a few yards of the hotel, and some local shops. The ferry is very close to the hotel, only a few mins walk, and access to all areas on the lake. The reception staff helped us to plan a ferry route using different ferry’s for us to get to a specific town we wanted to go to for a specific time. The ferry’s were a great way to get around, Sirmione and Bardolino were lovely places to visit. The reception staff informed us about a natural spa swimming pool at Sirmione where you can swim indoor to outdoors with very warm sulphur spa waters and jacuzzis & water jets etc lots of sun beds if you want to stay for the day. (Take plastic footwear for around the pool). There were many events in the square next to the hotel and a large market on Tuesday along the road right in front of the hotel. We loved Desenzano and would definitely recommend this hotel.

We booked a room for two and were upgraded to the top floor with a wrap around terrace overlooking the water and the city! It was our first time in Italy and this was an amazing introduction! The breakfast buffet has a great selection of delicious food items. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The harbor is just off to the right of the hotel for boats to other areas of Lake Garda. The small boat inlet next to the hotel is a great place to have lunch or dinner. So conveniently located to so much.

The only negative thing I could say about it was that there wasn't a very good selection of cereals. There were cornflakes and granola. I like bran, but there was none. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Desenzano del Garda. Be sure to book a balcony room as the views are outstanding. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and welcomed us into a modern and clean reception area. Our room was bright and newly renovated. The most important details for us was that the beds were very comfortable, the shower was powerful and the AC did a good job in keeping the room cool. There was also a mini fridge for keeping drinks cold. The continental real fast had an array of food every morning and was well stocked. Something there to suit everyone including bacon and eggs if you want your more traditional breakfast. Overall we had a fantastic stay in Hotel Vitório and would hesitate to recommend it.

Small hotel in good central location and very close to lake side. Front of house rooms look directly over Lake Garda. Rooms very comfortable, but could do with some drawer space, though adequate shelving.
Breakfast is good with a mixed variety ranging from cereal, fresh fruits, juice, ham/cheeses and small cooked breakfast of scrambled, bacon and frankfurter.

Every member of staff we spoke to was extremely helpful and definitely improved our stay. They helped with finding and booking restaurant reservations, ideas for days out and were generally really interesting helpful people. The location is fantastic, plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.

South Lake Garda is best for relaxing and visiting other cities as transport is great compared to the rest of the lake. North is best for wind-based watersports.

Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay at Hotel Vittorio, from the moment we arrived until we left the staff were most helpful and friendly which made our stay truly memorable as did the wonderful view over Lake Garda from our hotel room Desenzano is a lovely town and a great base to travel around Lake Garda via the close by ferry and to Milan and Verona (especially the opera at Arena di Verona!) the excellent train service. A few days at Lake Garda!

A 4 day stay to explore Lake Garda.
The Hotel is in a fabulous location with lovely views from the 'Lake View' rooms. Also within a 2/3 min walk of the water ferry...also plenty of bars and restaurants. Our lovely lake facing room had a small balcony to sit and watch the world go by. We were very happy with room 226. Breakfast is varied and mainly 'continental', but suiting all tastes. All the staff are very friendly, especially the reception team, who are more than helpful with advice on a number of local questions. Highly recommended - we will be back!

Desenzano gem - great way to experience Lake Garda

We were unsure whether staying here in Desenzano was the best way to see Lake Garda (maybe one of the smaller mid lake towns better?). But the position of this hotel on lake front, lovely little balcony with table, chairs, totally adjacent to everything in the town, stroll to the ferry wharf to go to Sirmione and other towns- and buses too- meant this was a terrific stay. As well, the help from staff- one in particular- about bus and ferry timetables and options including Sunday restrictions was terrific and so enthusiastic. Breakfasts were quite a bit better than the usual hotel buffets. We walked down from the station, quick and easy trip though did resort to taxi on return as uphill and bags now a bit weighed down by history and art books from the general trip. Hotel organised that easily. The day trip over to Sirmione to see the Roman ruins, medieval castle and ducky town was great day but we appreciated returning to the more spacious, less crowded, and relaxed Desenzano and the complete ease and comfort of Hotel Vittoria. Wifi etc all fine, simply nothing to criticise and everything to commend.

Great staff, very good food, super location. Only heartbreak was very noisy. I think the entire Von Trapp family came back to their room between one and two in the morning and individually opened and slammed the door shut and then drug chairs around! Too bad such inconsiderate people exist.

Awful experience and terrible customer service

Having booked this hotel due to its idyllic location in Desenzano and how good it looked on the photos, we were excited to stay there. Sadly, it did not live up to our expectations and when we discussed our concerns with the Manager, they were completely dismissive and very rude, stating they had worked there 32 years and it was us with the problem not them!!! In all my years of holiday making, I have never come across such a bad attitude from a hotel Manager and hope never to again!!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel Vittorio. Hotel is very clean, comfortable bed. We had a beautiful lake view from our balcony. The bathroom is a bit outdated but very clean. Great location, 15 minutes walk from the train station, very closed to shops, restaurants, ferry. Breakfast was very nice, a lot of good choices. Breakfast area is nice and bright with great view at the lake. All staff members are very helpful and friendly. We got great restaurant recommendations . We would like especially recognize Aurora and Tatiana at the front desk for all their help. We would love to return to this hotel.

Lovely hotel right on the lake front by the harbour. Lovely view across the lake from the balcony. Hotel staff spoke excellent English and gave us lots of advice about the area as it was our first visit. Pleased with Desenzano as a base, easy access to train and boat and lively in the evening but didn’t feel as crowded as some of the smaller towns we visited. Upmarket resort (not a gift shop to be found) but plenty of clothes and shoe shops. Nice walks out of town along the lake. Visited nearby towns of Sirmione, Garda, Bardolino and Peschiera which all had their own appeal

Was very happy with the hotel and will return. Views are excellent. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. Staff very friendly too. Something I will point out, it would be very useful to have a shelf or small table near the mirror. I found I had to put the stool from the bathroom there to put my make up on it. There is room in the bathroom to make up but this is not really practical if someone else is having a shower because of the steam. Also some shelves or some drawers in the room would be good as we had to leave anything we could not hang up in our cases, bit of a pain. This is just a bit of advice to the owners and not a complaint as I will go back to the hotel and would recommend it to everyone.

Lovely hotel right on the lake. Had fantastic room with terrace which had beautiful view of the lake. Room was quiet and bed really comfy. Service was mainly good. No tea making facilities in the room and safe didn't work but other than that very happy. Bit of a limited choice for breakfast but food was good quality and restaurant staff were pleasant. Great choice if looking for lake view in Desenzano.

Vittoria is the BEST!!

Desenzano del garda is a great base in which to tour around LAKE GARDA.

The hotel VITTORIA is within a 3 minute flat walk to the ferry terminal. Just the perfect position for their clients.

Hotel facilities and room comfort was excellent with a more than adequate selection for breakfast.

Stay for 1 week in May. Hotel was exactly as described and located very centrally in Desenzano, close to restaurants and shops. Staff were efficient and super helpful. Room was basic but comfortable and clean. We had a small balcony facing the lake. The buffet breakfast provided an excellent variety of both hot and cold foods - including amazing cakes. Great value for price. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Early spring break with family

Warm welcome upon arrival from the reception staff. As there was availability we got an upgrade from a room with a balcony to a room with a terrace. Wow:-) Special thanks to the front office lady Aurora for taking such a good care of us. She even noticed that I have a birthday and brought me a birthday cake with a candle to our table during breakfast. This is the \"extra step\" what is expected from each staff member in a hotel business and especially in small hotels. Good job. Management should be happy to have an employee like Aurora. Also very positiive and friendly attitude in regards of other staff members. Housekeeping lady was nice and polite. Will definately recommend this hotel to everybody. Super location and views. Thank you all. Hopefully we come back in the future

Lovely hotel, centre of a very busy tourist town

Really enjoyed our stay - nice hotel of average standard, and staff were very pleasant. The hotel is very central in what turned out to be the biggest and busiest town on Lake Garda - somehow I missed this obvious fact when booking! Noisy place, but shutting the windows blocked out all the noise and we slept well. It was a lovely view from our balcony (but not peaceful!) and we enjoyed a few glasses of wine on there over our 3 nights. Notes - Parking is about a 5min walk away and currently costs 9Euro a day (special hotel rate); very hard to get a table at any of the restaurants on Saturday night, even in mid June. The restaurant just below the hotel by the little marina is actually brilliant for drinks and ice cream, not too expensive as you might expect.

We really lucked in on this hotel. It's located right beside the marina, giving us a great view of lake Garda. It takes 3 minutes to walk to the centre of town where you can experience a great night life - families and friends hanging out, some eating, some drinking, some walking the dog, most eating ice cream. This is also where the ferry is located for taking day trips. Even with its proximity to the centre it's a quiet location. Even closer than town (20 second walk) are an array of restaurants surrounding a small inlet of small boats. Staff were friendly, hotel was comfortable. Our only issue was that our air con did not seem to work, but then we didn't need it so never even inquired about it!

Best visit ever!

Travelled here with my husband from Milan and found the train very easy to use. The room we had booked was on the side of the hotel, and although a good size and very comfortable I asked at reception if it was possible to change to the front of the hotel. The two ladies on reception were a great help and although it cost a little extra per night, it was money well spent. The views over the lake were fantastic. Took only 5 mins to get to the ferry terminal, and the ticket system was easy to work out and use. Spent 2 whole days sailing up and down the lower half of the lake enjoying all the lovely little villages and towns. Garda was one of our favourites, followed by Lazise. Although a bit expensive for everything, it was well worth it. Would definately go again.

We had a wonderful time from breakfast, day and night. The service in the hotel gave us tips was attentive and charming. If update the payment options and if the hotel says there's a reception available 24/7 I expect all amenities are possible without necessary hassle and misconduct early in the morning.

It was an amazing experience. The locations of the hotel was perfect. Short distance to everything. We had a rental car and the hotel had access to a parking space. The breakfast was great, lots of things for every taste. Clean room and a nice bed. Friendly staff and helpful as well.

Traumhafte Lage am See, leider aber Strasse dazwischen, deshalb nicht sehr ruhig. Aber die Sicht vom Balkon (4. Stockwerk!!) ist einmalig. Das Zimmer war ok, etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
Gutes Frühstück. Gratisparkpatz ca 300m entfernt, an dee Reception fragen!

Hyvä sijainti, huone ja aamupala

Huippupaikalla järven rannalla ravintoloiden ja ostosten vieressä. Huone oli uusi ja siisti, aamupala monipuolinen tuoreine hedelmineen. Respa oli ystävällinen ja palvelualtis. Ollaan oltu ennenkin ja tulemme jatkossakin. Kaikki natsaa. Äänet käytävästä eivät häiritse. Desenzano on turvallinen paikka kaikkinavuorokauden aikoina eli siitäkään ei huolta. Ainoa vaara on ylensyönti ja auringonliikasaanti.
