We have stayed here twice now the breakfast is fantastic, indoor pool and spa are lovely.
Just wish the outside pool and sun loungers overlooking Lake Garda were open, the explanation I got was it was to early in the Season and they will open in May. For the British like myself the weather was ideal and at around 21/22 degrees the Outdoor spaces should have been open. Thanks a lovely stay otherwise 👍

Lovely hotel in a great location on Lake Garda.

Lovely hotel in a great location on the shores of Lake Garda. We had a comfortable two-night stay here with our toddler, and enjoyed the location and excellent breakfast.

The bar is especially excellent at this hotel - not only is the range of drinks huge and varied (there's even a range of local beers, not just Heineken), but it's very reasonably priced.

Quality hotel, I recommend it!

Great stay at Acquaviva. We got a nice room with lake view and Balcony. Staff was courteous and nice. Breakfast had a lot of options. Hotel is a 45 mins walk to downtown Desenzano (lake front walk with a great view) and 1:30 walk to Sirmione. We absolutely adored the tratoria del pescatore that is a few blocks away. Spa was great too, the only down thing is that there is no spa tub like advised and they force you to wear a swim cap

Ho soggiornato più volte in questo hotel.
L’accoglienza non è stata delle migliori nel mio ultimo soggiorno.
Il parcheggio esterno era pieno quindi ho dovuto parcheggiare la mia auto (a pagamento) nel garage. Il receptionist mi ha riferito che il parcheggio esterno non è incluso!!??
Camera pagata euro 204 e avrei dovuto parcheggiare l’auto chissà dove lungo la strada.

Camera assegnata: piano terra, piuttosto freddina e con il rumore degli scarichi del bagno delle del piano superiore, tariffa euro 204

Colazione: dal mio punto di vista la qualità è peggiorata. Servizio peggiorato. Ho dovuto chiedere un caffè per due volte aspettando 15 minuti.

Devo ammettere che, purtroppo, qualcosa è cambiato in negativo nella gestione dell’hotel.

The hotel was in a perfect location for Is coming from Milan and only a few minutes drive to Sirmione.
We enjoyed our stay here and had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant.
The staff was very helpful in offering child options and we all enjoyed a very nice meal.
The spa and pool were also nice and great for our baby.
Definitely recommend staying at this hotel - great location

Disgusting, people was their shoes and sandals in the swimming pool and seems is not issue to the hotel, but they go ballistic if you don't wear a swimming cap in the pool. Why? Hairs? Then why not wear a full wet suit for hairy people? Or full mask for beards? Oh but is fine to wash your sandals and shoes in the pool.
The SPA plays electronic music that drills your brain, so forget about relaxing and if you ask to turn it off it will just be switched to another type of synthetic electronic music.
Oh, and the sculptures, there is a large room for meetings or so with a large statue of a naked male completely spread-out exhibiting towards the room on the window.
It is not a good feeling.
Air Conditioning in the room is extremely noisy, couldn't sleep. Reported it and was ignored.
We left early and paid a penalty for leaving early.
But to be fair, there are some extraordinary employees that will try to do their best. The Head of Housekeeping is a wonderful lady that goes beyond her duty. The barman, Manuel will bend backward to attend you but has to take care of three different areas at the same time. And a young Lifeguard, Francisco, such a nice fellow but unfortunatelly has many jobs at the same time - lifeguard, barman, issue the bill to customers, support spa reception and who knows what else so he seems nervous, but good training could turn him into wonderful performer.

We liked the excellent free wellbeing facilities. The staff were very friendly and courteous. the grounds and pool were very good. The reception desk were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was very good with many choices. It is a bit far from Desenzano about 40mins walk, but the walk is by the lake, so nice.

Room was very nice, clean, big beds. Covered garage if you want it, otherwise free allocated car park for the hotel outside. Missed coffee machine or kettle just something so you could make yourself a drink.
As being a thermal hotel, a bitsurprised the outdoor pool was quite cold. But it’s end of September so maybe that’s how it is.
Nice walks along the lake. A very convenient hotel for sightseeing.

A wonderful stay at this hotel, breakfast was fab, fresh breads every day, cereals, continental hams and cheeses, fruit and juices, tea and coffee. The breakfast staff were lovely. In the Room, beds and towels changed every day including the beach towels. Lovely robes available for the spa. We really enjoyed the beds facing the lake by the jacuzzi and spent most days there. Lovely to be able to walk down to the lake for a swim too. You have to wear a swimhat (Supplied) if you swim in the outdoor/indoor pools, good amount of beds. We ordered lunch most days too, lunch staff are also lovely. Parking out the front I had no problem although I had read that non residents were using the car park I did not see this at all. Our room was a triple and spacious with a lovely partial view of the lake and shaded, just what we ordered.

However on our last day there was a private party so the spa was shut from 2pm and then a loud party until 11.30pm which made it really difficult to get our baby daughter to sleep. The next morning hotel staff were not very apologetic which I was disappointed about, as the rest of the week they had been fantastic.

Almost perfect four star hotel.

Nice, comfortable hotel with big \"panorama\" room that fully delivered on the promised views of the lake. Pity that outdoor parking space is also used by non-guests of the hotel. Access to the indoor parking was granted only after checking in. Beware that spa with sauna and indoor pool closes pretty early (and opens rather late) so if you arrive late and want to have a little swim after a long road-trip, you are out of luck. Perfect room service and excellent breakfast. A four star hotel should have some coffee/tea maker in the room though.

NO AIR CONDITIONING IN BEDROOM had to leave patio doors open all night - hard to sleep with the noise. The room was basic considering it was a 4* hotel. Spa only opened between 10am to 7pm during the week. Hotel had no atmosphere. The breakfast selection never changed. Gate to private beach was locked. No access to underground car park even when main car park was full. Our garden view room was of a very scruffy neglected court yard. Wish we had booked another hotel.

Superb hotel in an amazing location. Very easy to find with fantastic views; we had a partial lake view with a huge balcony. Breakfast buffet was perfect with loads of choice and all very fresh. Fantastic helpful staff and the real treat was the spa which is included in the price! We only stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer! We ate in the restaurant also which was very high end with fantastic wine! There is also a rooftop lounge see photo and outdoor roof terrace for sunbathing in summer or taking the air in winter with paneramic views! All in all amazing!

Good hotel, nice pool area, large bed but room was a bit souless. I was there on business and room was not the most comfortable to work from as the seat was too low for the the desk but the free Wifi was good . The location is OK for local shops but a bit too far to walk into Desenzano. Overall nice hotel and I would stay again

Lovely Lobby and a great Reception Staff...
I am not found of big hotels ...this was fairly large. The reception was great. Our room had a pleasant courtyard view, fairly private. The housekeeper was excellent.
The indoor spa and pool facilities were nicely kept and quiet pleasant. The outside pool and bar is within the lovely manicured gardens. You can also relax directly by the lakefront.
The only think that was a bit cold was the restaurant where above average buffet breakfast was served.
It was too large and cold (temperature) for my taste. The waiters were very busy but did a fantastic job!
Overall a GREAT value for the area!

Spotless hotel with great views

The hotel was incredibly clean and spacious. The facilities were everything the website described. Breakfast was good (although eggs a bit salty!), the barman was great. It was so quiet probably due to the time of year we stayed so we felt like we had the place to ourselves really! It was a bit weird wearing shower caps in the pool but we saw the funny side and obliged. It was freezing in temperature but once you got in it was ok. We had a great trip and hotel staff were very polite and helpful.

The indoor pool was wonderful! Nicely heated and with small water jets to massage your back. The hotel provides wonderful bath robes and requires that you wear swimming caps (also provided) regardless of the length of your hair.
The hotel is beautifully decorated with impressive pictures and statues.
Service was not good.
The room was decent size, but noisy. We were woken early by noise of the water running from another room's shower.
The room had a great view of lake Garda.
There is not much to do in the area without driving there by car.

Lake View Hotel

Good place to stay when visiting the Southern end of Lake Garda.
Buses and Trains are within easy travel distance and times.
Very well appointed rooms, except if you are put in a disability room.
These are supposed to be the same standard, and with the exception of the bathroom are, however the bathroom whilst having most ot the requirements leaves much to be desired in the shower standard compared to the non disabled rooms. The support bars also get in the way and water from the shower get all over the floor, making things very slippery!
I didn't book a room of this type and was disappointed with it.

Not what we expected...

The room was extremely hot. We had to turn off the heater completely and open the window because the heat was unbearable. I talked to the personal at the reception because all the machines in the gym were lacking grease (in fact I think there were never greased, ever). After 2 days they didn't correct the issue. \
We tried the restaurant food. It was very good, but they brought us a 2 by 2 inch cod, with no garnish for 16 euros. Unfortunately we asked for the same dish so we don't know if all dishes are as ridiculously small as this one.
My wife had to take a cold shower on the last day because at 9:30am there was no more hot water. We were expecting so much more for the price!

Very good hotel with good service. Staff were all excellant and helpful. The warm greeting on arrival was welcomed. Rooms and facilities are very good and woth its 4 stars.

The hotel would benefit from the provision of a greater range of \"snack foods\" at lunch and during the day as opposed to a more formal dining arrangement for lunch - which was very good but more suitable for the evening.

The location is quiet and close to a few nice restaurants. There is a reasonable good bus connection into Desenzano and taxis for the return. (10 mins) There are plenty of ferries to other parts of the lake from Desenzano.

Contradictory attitude to our stay in this place. Very strange place. If you plan to stay in this hotel you should be ready for surprises:
1. Swimming Hats for Pool.... You must wear hat for using pools!
2. AC inside room is controlled only from Reception!
3. In room no glass for drinks.
4. No complimentary water
5. Bathroom cosmetics very poor - only shower gel
6. For kids we should pay additional 80 EUROS and it is bed and breakfast. By my opinion is too much!
7. Internet is very very very strange. Each day you must take access ticket on reception.

Serenity!

Leaving chaotic Venice to Acquaviva was a blessing. This is truly a beautiful peaceful place. Everything on this site was so peaceful. The private sunbathing area by the lake and the pool were the highlight of my trip. I did not use the spa so i can not comment on that. The staff was very nice. I arrived early and they held my bags. I was given a locker in the spa to store my things while i waited for my room to be ready. Breakfast was fantastic! Great selection. My room was great. Very roomy and comfortable.Bathroom was spacious. Balcony was very peaceful. The only negative was that my air did not seem to be working properly. I did not complain about it because i was ok with it. Over all i would highly recommend this hotel for some well deserved peace and quiet.

Great location and terrific hotel

Our first trip to Lake Garda and happy with our choice to stay in Desanzano. The hotel itself was great, albeit more like a conference centre than the usual boutique style hotel we prefer. That said, we couldn't fault it. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, securing restaurant bookings, providing tour information and allowing a slightly later checkout although we opted for their other suggestion to store our bags, take their hotel cycles for a last day tour and then use their spa facilities to shower and change before we set out on our next adventures. Would definitely recommend and easy to visit nearby Sirmione and Bardolina - the latter well worth a visit.

We stayed for one night. Bed and room were very clean and comfortable, as was the rest of the hotel.
The main reason for booking was to make use of the spa facilities. Unfortunately there was no information in the room regarding the spa's rules or opening times etc. The spa pool did not seem to be working and the spa was extremely busy and noisy - not relaxing at all.

Rooms were a very good size and very comfortable. Great beds. Hair dryer needed some power. No tea and coffee facilities. Hotel very clean. Food good quality however evening buffet Euro 30 a head. Lake front area wonderful with stunning views.
Spa lovely but water could have been warmer. Close to nice restaurants and bars so great location.

Hotel room/lobby was very good. Front desk staff were not very friendly. Service overall was not good. They didn't seem very happy that we had children (even though they are teenagers and we had 2 rooms). Didn't have the shuttle that they advertise on-line. Breakfast was not great quality. A modern, clean hotel. Staff helpful. Quite a long way out of Desenzano but bike hire useful and bus stop not too far away. Spa nice as an alternative to get out of the heat. Outdoor pool and lakeside area both nice. Had the buffet on the first night as arrived late - costly and in inspirational. Breakfasts good. Had a room with a great view of the lake.

Room was nice just not as comfortable/exclusive as expected for a 4* hotel. The balcony was spacious though&we had a great view over the lake.Service in the hotel was good,staff also helped with our day trip to Milan.The Spa was nice,too.Did a 90 min treatment&enjoyed it.We went during a non-tourist season so the private beach was closed out so there was no direct access to the lake anywhere close.Neighborhood was not very interesting, maybe a handful of places to eat at.Hotel did not have much free parking available which was kind of a problem when the hotel got filled with Italians Saturday night.Other than that I'm pretty sure it might be even nicer when you actually visit the hotel during tourist season.

Smart modern hotel with great facilities

Excellently run hotel with attentive and helpful English speaking staff.
Nice large rooms with plenty of wardrobe space. We were upgraded to lake view room with fantastic views on clear days but found the traffic a little noisy ( you will need to sleep with doors shut and air -con on ) Rooms further back to side of hotel are probably quiter but don't offer same view.
Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice.
Lovely relaxing spa and well equipped gym which is in the price and a lovely outdoor pool which was still open in October but way too cold to swim in.
Be prepared to mix with business people as this definitely is not a Lake Garda style holiday hotel. Lunch and dinner are a la carte , well presented, tasty but expensive , better to eat in the local restaurants in Rivoltella just down the road . Rossi & Rossi being the best of them with probably the best pizza and pasta I have tasted for a long time.
Location not brilliant as it is halfway between Desensano and Sirmione but we enjoy walking so not a problem and the hotel quality more than makes up for this. Buses going in either direction stop just down the road.
Good location at southern end of lake if you want to go to Milan , Verona or Venice. I would imagine getting down the lake from the northern end would be tricky without a car and even then take ages due to traffic around the lake. We went in October and it was still fairly busy so watch out in Summer.

Desenzano del Garda is lovely and only about half an hour walk, if you can take the heat. Peschiera, Veneto is also great and just a short drive (approx. 20 mins).

Recommend a car to take advantage of your stay and see as much as you can.

Wonderful. Not sure whether it was because it wasn't school holiday time, but the hotel was quiet and peaceful: perfect for a relaxing break. The food in the restaurant was excellent although I am still a little unsure why a reservation was necessary when it was so quiet. The chap in the terrace bar was fantastic: always there when you needed him, never there when you didn't.

On arrival with my elderly mother & a family friend we were met by a nice & also a very arrogant receptionist, this girl was the only negative in our experience there, at one stage she called us a taxi & we ended up paying nearly double the normal price & on asking we were told \"it depends on where you were going before we know which company we should call\" my reply was obviously, then maybe ask the guests where they are going before you call, this was but one of the many times we were treated as meer annoyances by dear Chr.. ...na, otherwise all the staff were extremely professional, friendly & made our trip there very comfortable, the hotel was extremely clean & well looked after by the maintenance men, in the restaurante Mas? & Co served us & everyone exactly how they wanted to be served, Mas is worth gold to the hotel owners as he makes it all run like clockwork & brings a charm to the hotel which is invaluable, without him my rating would drop 30%, the spa is very lovely & has one of the nicest pools etc I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying, great massage too! Being close to Desenzano is nice but having the small town with local cafes near us helped us experience real Italian life plus enjoy lovely food at a very reasonable price, I would.like to go back with my boyfriend for a few days R&R & to see Mas & his gang again, they made the stay there what it was, unforgettable! :)

Acqua Viva Hotel - good all-around hotel

Good hotel for our purposes, never used spa but pool was nice. The hotel is a little tired but clean and the staff were attentive. Restaurant good, excellent manager and put out a special buffet for the returning race car drivers late at night. Rooms have what you need, clean, showers small, rooms have balconies. Hotel located on Lake Garda with access via underground hotel hallway. Chairs, towels available.

Chillaxing place to be

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we felt totally relaxed. The staff were incredible helpful and it was really easy to take the shuttle bus into town or to the station, which was very reasonable. The rooms were very comfortable and very spacious. Breakfast was lovely. Didn't eat in the main restaurant for dinner so can't comment about lunch/dinner. We used the health spa too and the choice of treatments was fantastic. Will def come back again.

Good hotel - good location

We booked the Aquaviva as the reviewers on a travel web site all had good experience. They did not dissapoint. The hotel was clean and contemporary. Our bags were taken to and from our room and the not tip was expected. We weren't able to get a room with a lake view although we did get a room with a balcony. This didn't really matter as we were hardly in the room and the hotel bar had a terrace where you can sit and good drink coffee whilst taking in the gorgeous view. The bathroom in our room was huge with a bath big enough for 2 and one could not want for clean towels as these, including pool towels and bath robes, were in abundance. The bed was huge and very confortable. The buffet breakfast had a wide selection which was constantly refreshed. We only ate in the hotel one evening where the food was good alhtough they stopped serving at 9.30pm. The hotel has it's own private beach where there are terraces of sun loungers, spa baths and a bar. The hotel pool was good and also has it's own bar. The hotel staff are friendly although not intrusive and always available when you need them. Although the hotel says is is in Descenzano is is actually in Rivoltella, about a 40 minute stroll either along the road or lake side promenade out of town. It is a quiet little town that can be found just behind the hotel and it is worth exploring the quaint streets some of which wind down to the lake side. A good location to be close but not too close to it all.

Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti con gentilezza. La camera con vista sul lago merita una stella in più, spaziosa, luminosa e molto accogliente. Accesso all'area wellness anche con ascensore dedicato. Molto comoda e rilassante con molti lettini intorno alla piscina coperta, ben organizzata sauna e bagno turco. Colazione molto ricca, abbondante con attenzione al glutine e intolleranze varie. Orari perfetti per la vacanza. Personale molto disponbile. Pulizia assoluta. Ristorante da provare. Tornerò appena possibile anche per scoprire il giardino estivo con la piscina scoperta. Assolutamente consigliato!
