Andreas was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He was very welcoming and was able to answer any queries we had.

We arrived early but were made very welcome & it was no problem to leave our bags with reception & go out exploring on the hotel bikes (Free of charge)
There was a slight mix up with our room allocation but it was eventually resolved & the staff were very apologetic.
Hotel was in a good location to explore Sirmione old town & new town & close to the bus stop for our onward journey.
Pool area was nice & clean.
Breakfast was great, lots of choice

When I checked in, the room toilet had not been flushed. Asked the staff about it. there was no follow-up. The toilet also would not stop running and the staff thought that was normal. I had to press a second button to stop, how dumb. The evening check-in man was nice, but the woman in the morning was kind of rude. I did like the bike rental.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Porto Azzuro. All the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Special shout out to Andrea behind the bar who served a delicious range of complimentary snacks alongside the poolside cocktails.
We had the 2 bedroom family room which had two balconies, perfect for getting the kids off to sleep and still being able to sit out on the balcony and enjoy a glass of wine.
We did find the bed rather on the hard side but the staff arranged for a mattress topper to be fitted which made it very comfortable.
The breakfast and lunch menu had a good selection and the staff were attentive. All in all a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is at the beginning of the peninsula, so you have to walk pretty far to get to the castle and old town. There is a bus that makes a loop and stops every 20 minutes, but while we were standing at the bus stop, the bus just passed us by two times! So we stood in the heat for 50 minutes when we could have already have been there if we walked, which we finally did. We asked the lady at the front desk why the bus didn’t stop two times, but she didn’t know. Breakfast was good. One of the girls, Sophia, is an exceptionally hard worker. She kept the breakfast area clean and everything well stocked. She was also friendly and professional.

Our room had two had 3 single beds and one queen bed. No room to move or sit, they wanted 20 euros per night extra to change rooms, no wifi unless you stand in the hall doorway, they thought that was fine, the safe was on the floor, such a chore to get on the floor to use it. Breakfast and lobby bar were good. I have photos, just terrible.

This hotel looks good from the outset but it has been run down and has old carpets and bathrooms. Morning breakfast does not have much warm food except (boiled and scrambled eggs). Staff are not greatly helpful and should have better knowledge of Area. Overall it was ok for a couple of nights stay.

This was an awesome hotel, located in an area that was ease of access to the local shops, ease of access either by car or a half hour walk to the town of Sirmione. The hotel offers complimentary bikes to get around the town, as it can get quite busy with the tourist buses. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a newly renovated room, which was lovely (a bit cramped for space for good closet/storage). Front desk staff were incredibly friendly and provided many local recommendations. Fridge in room did not function very well. Pool area was great! Free parking was very much appreciated and easy to come by. Great to have free access to bicycles to explore the town. Buffet breakfast had plentiful selection. Restaurant across the street had excellent food at reasonable prices - ate there twice!

Perfect scale hotel for a short stay of 4 nights as a family. The pool, room and breakfast were all great. We were also fortunate to receive a complimentary upgrade on arrival which meant a balcony with views of the lake and a slightly larger room which with 4 of us staying was a big benefit. Also airs in front of a bus stop , where you can get the shuttle to old town for only 2.5 euros . Overall everything was what we needed .

The hotel was in a good spot and it was easy to reach many places from there. Parking was a bit of an issue as there are only a few spaces at the hotel (around 10 in the car park and around 5 under ground but very tricky to turn if you enter and it is full) Other than that there is free parking on a slip road near the front but at busy times this became full so it meant a bit of a walk. The room was nice and bathroom was modern and clean. The beds were firm but comfortable. The fridge was not very cold and we had two small bottles of water provided on the first day of the stay but this was not replenished. The patio was shared with 4 rooms and this meant a lack of privacy. Some rooms have a lake view. The pool was clean & a great size. Breakfast was good but to be honest not as the photographs suggested. The savoury options were plentiful although the scrambled eggs were stone cold when my daughter had them. I was a little disappointed with the fruit choice. There were a couple of small dishes with apple and possibly pear which resembled tinned fruit but only a couple of strawberries one day& a couple of pieces of cantaloupe melon on another day. Some pastries were cut in half but there was a good choice. There were lots of messages about not being able to eat or drink anything not purchased in the hotel and messages about not leaving food out in the room because of ants but we didn’t have any ants in our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit

Hotel is ok for a short visit. Rooms are big and clean but beds not very comfy. We had a double room which was 2 single beds pushed together, very springy and uncomfortable. Shower was tiny. Hotel rules are very strict, wouldn’t recommend as a family hotel. Pool rules very strict, no balls, inflatables and closes between 1pm - 3pm. Can only have food and drink bought from hotel, can be expensive. Good shuttle from outside hotel into centre of Sirmione. Would recommend as a short stay hotel for someone looking to visit Lake Garda, but don’t stay too many nights.

Lovely staff, well maintained, it had everything we needed from our stay. Comfortable queen sized double bed. Nice balcony overlooking the garden and pool area. All staff were pleasant and efficient. The local shuttle bus into the old town ran every 20 minutes and cost 2 euros each with a stop immediately over the road from the hotel. We had a hire car and always got parked in the car park. If i had to give a criticism it would be a small one about the limited choice of cooked breakfast available, however plenty of continental breakfast options were available. We would definitely book again. Thank you for a lovely stay!
