Dinner was good on first night, not so much on second night. Breakfast was excellent on first morning but not as good on second morning. At 6am you could hear people talking and coughing which woke me up early, also i woke up cold just before 6am. Soundproofing is needed in rooms and heat should come on around 5am to prevent a cold room.

We stayed here for six nights.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Our room was comfortable, clean and provided all that we required. However the television, although supposedly offering both Italian terestial and satellite channels, did not offer much in english (apart from China National Television news channel in English).
The Al Braciere Restaurant and Pizzeria was excellent for evening meals. Fish and pizzas were first class. Breakfast gave an enormous choice of food, buffet style. More than enough to sed us through until evening!
We stayed in early October. I was slightly disappointed that the pool was completely closed off.
The hotel is situated on the south shore of Lake Garda. It is about a one hour walk to the historic town centre of Sirmione - a very pleasant, mainly lakeside, walk.
I would be very happy to stay here again when visiting Lake Garda.

5 nights at Lake Garda

Its a great location, not far from the lake front and several nice restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, its possible to walk to the historical centre of Sirmone which we did but the hotel also offers free bike hire! Rooms are spacious, modern and really clean, pool is a nice size for the hotel and never felt overly crowded. The free breakfast was a nice offer and food was nice but we didn't eat there every morning, it didn't appear to be replenished so best to go around 9 or before. All the staff were very friendly and the pizzas at the restaurant were the best we had in the area! The only slightly off putting thing was having to walk through the restaurant and in between diners to exit and enter but that's minor! It would have been nice to have a side entrance for hotel guests. The hotel is very close to a large supermarket and also on the bus route for the main bus to Verona and to go around the south of the lake which was handy! Overall a really nice stay!

A little hotel close to Sirmione. We stayed one night on the way from Milan to Venezia - very convenient. We walked from the hotel to Sirmione and back, but there is a shuttle available. Small room in the hotel, but it was enough space for us for 1 night. A safe in the room, a kettle, and a restaurant - we had breakfast there but not dinner - it was opened from 7pm. We had dinner in Sirmione. There is a grocery store nearby, 200 yards.

Disappointed that the fridge did not work in the room even though we reported it several times. The excuse from the staff at the hotel was that ‘it was a chiller and not a fridge’. Even so, it was broken and Our food spoiled.

The Riel Hotel was amazing. It is modern, spacious rooms with balconies, friendly
staff, amazing breakfast each morning, and 10min walk to the castle. They have plenty of free bicycles you can use and we cycled to the castle all along the lake's edge. Beautiful!

This hotel was great for our family and our needs during our stay for just two nights. A bit far from the historic city center but parking was easily accessed and driving wasn’t a big deal. The wifi was not reliable at this location, but I worked good enough for our needs. We really enjoyed the restaurant as well as the pool. Our shower was quite small but again the space was everything we could have needed.

The only odd thing we noticed was that there was tea but no coffee provided in the room. In addition, at breakfast you have to order coffee by the cup from the wait staff instead of having a coffee machine.

Either way, definitely recommend for the price and they have a beautiful marina/lake view in a quiet neighborhood.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of October, so just out of season. We found the hotel to be excellent value, worth bearing in mind there is no lift at this property. The receptionist offered to carry our luggage which was very kind. Breakfast is adequate although still subject to covid-19 restrictions. We would return to this location.

The hotel room was very clean, the bathroom worked very well and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a restaurant, but we wanted to have a meal in town and the receptionist was kind enough to recommend two other options for our evening meal. We decided for La fenice, a lively wine bar with some food and it was a lovely experience. It seemed a very popular place with locals. All in all it was a very nice stay. I am not sure, however, that it would be as pleasant as this in the summer months when the area is much more crowded.

Spacious comfortable rooms with tea making facilities and a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge. Swimming pool and restaurant on site. Easy walk to the bus stop to get to the tip of sirmione. Parking on site was easy to find. Good spread at breakfast with polite efficient staff. One complaint- would have preferred to be given option to stay and wait for passports to be copied rather than be told to come back to get them in 30minutes-makes you wonder what they are copying!

There are 2 things that may interrupt, the first is that there is no elevator - but, the staff helped us to take our luggages upstairs. The second one is the distance to the center of Sirmione, you can't do it by walk (which could be very nice).

When we booked the hotel, the room we chose on the computer showed a double bed AND a twin bed. When we checked in, no problem arose. Upon checkout, however, we were charged an additional 10 Euro for our son, a third person in the room. Nothing was said about this on the web or at check-in! We have traveled Europe, especially Italy, extensively, and have never experienced a hotel doing this. Charges should be announced up front! Then the consumer can make appropriate decisions.

Great Hotel and location at the bottom of Lake Garda. Restaurant onsite or a selection within walking distance.

Rooms are basic but clean, they include air conditioning and a fridge. Towels are changed every day if wanted and additional ones for the pool can be supplied free from reception.

Parking onsite if you have a car and a supermarket is almost next door.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Riel. We booked 9 nights for our honeymoon and were offered a discounted upgrade for a room with a balcony and lake view which we were very happy with. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location suited us perfectly as it is located just close enough to Sirmione that we could use the free bike rentals to cycle and explore while the local bus service was just down the road and allowed us to travel further afield to Desenzano and Peschiera.

Lovely little hotel spotlessly clean the staff couldn't do enough for us. They were really helpful with any information we needed they booked taxis and a trip to Verona to the opera for us. There is a beautiful restaurant where you can eat inside or outside the food is amazing and very fairly priced. Nice pool with plenty of sun loungers. Hotel is a short walk from bus stops, bars and a large supermarket. There isn't a lift but the reception staff helped us with our cases and I'm sure if you were to request a ground floor room the staff would accommodate your wishes if possible. There was a refrigerator in the room and a kettle polystyrene cups are provided but you need to supply your own tea or coffee.

This was a very short stay as it was just a rest stop on our way to croatia from Zurich. The hotel staff are very friendly and the restaurant which belongs to the hotel has very nice food and the service was excellent. I would certainly go back if I was in the area.
The room was clean and we had no complains so If someone does have issues we could not find any.
this may not be the ideal hotel if you were planning a kids vacation but the staff is still kid friendly. Especially the blond lady who served usa the restaurant and checked us out.
Thanks we will certainly come again and recommend the hotel.

Staff at reception was extremely helpful and was really the top thing in the hotel. Pool was rather small, but adequate unless you look for water park. The breakfast was awful, may be normal for Italy but really lack of protein and selection was rather small. The Internet was free but barely usable. Our room was next to the WLAN router, but still it was disconnecting all the time. At the pool the signal level wasn't adequate either. If you don't need Internet too much or give much credit for breakfast, this hotel has fairly good location with enough parking space rather than many other hotel near lake Garda.

Booked hotel via Expedia based upon details on Expedia and various hotel review sites.
No surpises when we arrived, everything was as described, great location, great food, nice pool area.
We didn't have any transfer arrange so relied upon local transport which was straight forward.
Also used local transport for a day trip to Verona.

Took about 45 minutes to walk into the centre of Sirmione virtually all of which was along the bank of Lake Garda therefore very pleasant.

All in all, a great holiday.

Checkade ut en natt innan. Fanns 30gråder i rummet och gick inte att andas. Klagade till receptionen och dem sa att dem kunde inte sätta igång AC och öppnade fönster men det var bilar och motorcyklar som gick förbi hela natten och man kunde inte sova alls.

Stället är fint och rent med bra frukost. Men om man kan inte sova då är tyvärr inte ok

Wat hadden we een fijn verblijf. Kamer voor 3 personen was niet zo heel erg groot, maar meer dan ruim genoeg.
Zwembad is ideaal en meer dan genoeg ligplaatsen. Het is er niet druk.
Het personeel is heel erg vriendelijk en vooral een dikke pluim voor de bediening aan het ontbijt. Ook de mogelijkheid om een glutenvrij ontbijt aan te vragen was een meevaller.

Good location and good size room. Breakfast is good if you like pastries and sweet things, you also can order a nice coffee like cappuccino or macchiato. There is eggs, bacon, bread etc and it’s good enough but would not say amazing. The staff is friendly. The thing that did bother us was that you hear absolutely everything through the walls in the room. Also, every time another guest closed their door our door would shake and it felt almost like they would come inside our room. Other than that we were happy with our stay and it is good value for money.

A szoba tiszta, jó az elhelyezése, van vízforraló, kávé, tea a szobában. Össze van kapcsolva a szolgáltatás az étteremmel, adnak kupont welcome drinkre. Nagy és könnyen megközelíthető parkoló. A fürdőszobába lépcső vezet fel, ez tud éjszaka meglepetés lenni. Pici a szoba, de két főnek egy éjszakára pont jó. Felújított a hotel és szép. Ajtó hangszigetelés rossz, hallani ahogy az előtérben beszélgetnek lent egy emelettel lejjebb. Wifi gyenge, sokszor megszakadt. Este 23:00-kor is hangoskodtak az előtérben, nem szólt rájuk senki. Később lehetett emiatt csak elaludni a hangok visszhangozása miatt.
